The wings were delicious and so crispy. There is a slight spice. I did order to go but the service was very fast. The building was very clean. The rose tteokbokki was pretty good and creamy not spicy at all.

BBQ is def one of the grandfathers of KFC Korean Fried Chicken in LA, and they do it right. Its a tight call between Bonchon and BBQ Chicken. Been to the Cerritos location few times, last time tried the Gang-Jeong and Secret Spicy. I prefer the spicy, the Gang-Jeong was ok for me, something about the cinnamon in the sauce just meh. Chicken is juicy fried perfectly. Place is in the same shopping center as Lucilles and other yummy restos, parking can be a pain in the buttocks but well worth it.

Spicy Galbi Wings

The pictures speak for themselves. Here's the rundown: - Started off with Kimchi Fried Rice. Kimchi was fine, nothing special while the rice stayed fluffy but still with a little crunch. Some other bits of bacon I think scattered about. Overall, really solid but pricy at $15.99 and likely won't try again. - Spicy Galbi wings: Tasted like an elevated bbq sauce with a little heat at the end. Didn't really taste like Galbi that I'm used to but still quite scrumptious. Perfectly breaded and exploding with juice. - Soy Garlic Wings: The highlight and a 5 star meal by itself. Had just a touch of honey or sugar to provide a sweet edge but the garlic taste is so plentiful. Big hit for Garlic lovers like me. Every dish was $15.99 which was quite pricy and we were given only one radish serving which was demolished quickly. Also no mixing of flavors within one order which is just greedy. Left a bad taste in my mouth. If I'm back in the area I would try again but only two dishes. Also the cashier was also doing the busing. She was great and kind with our order!

Chicken was good but wasn't the same as in Korean. Got the regular half chicken and spicy chicken wings. Got also the potato Fries n sweet potatoes fries. Customer service was great n ambience kids friendly! I'll come back again

This particular location is really cool, and I'd be lying if I said this wasn't the backup option for me when I can't get a quick enough table for the other places around it. But honestly, this place is super reliable, and I appreciate that. I've been here a number of times and I'm always greeted to warm and patient workers, big portions, and hot food. It's honestly old reliable at this point. And I hate to refer to this spot as a backup, but honestly, it should really be looked at as a compliment because in times when I can't find a reliable option due to wait times or long lines, this place has always been there. I really appreciate how good this place is.

Just happened to stop by right before closing after an evening gym session. The workers were friendly and still took our order within the last 30minutes. Plenty of options to choose from and good service and nice! Will definitely be back.

Parking here is a bit of a pain after 4pm and is tucked away in the corner of the lot. First time walking into k.bbq you notice how clean the restaurant is and you can smell all the fresh spices. I was instantly greeted by a man and recommended me the spicy galbi wings & garlic crunch wings as shown in photo. I was instantly hooked to the spicy galbi wings and the rice and the side of radish. You will not be disappointed by the quality of service & food here. I will be back forsure and this is the only fried chicken I will buy.

Outside restaurant. Has some seating inside but most people I saw were picking up to go.

Wings and service were spot on. Cashier was friendly and suggested various wing flavors which I appreciated. Wings came out hot and stayed that way on trip home. I tried Honey garlic and Soy garlic. Both delicious with the honey garlic slightly better. Wings are large so you do not need many to fill you up. Which is good because they are little pricier that traditional wing places and you are unable to split an order to get more than one flavor. That was the only down side. Would I order again, absolutely since they are crunchier and better than traditional wings.

Jeannette Jazmín C.

The food was good, the service is friendly. But I think the sauces are too salty and too sweat, makes it hard to fully enjoy

Everything we ordered was good!
Paolo T.

First time at this location! Bigger than the one in Walnut. Came on a Saturday night and the whole center was busy. Had to drive around a few times to get parking. Walnut location was more of a To-Go style spot. This one is more of a sit down spot with plates and a water pitcher for the table. Ordered at the register and food was very good! We got the Boneless Honey Garlic wings and Original Hot n Spicy Bone in wings! For the sides we got Onion Rings and Mozzarella sticks which came out hot and fresh! They had a projector tv which was playing Moana and the kids around us liked that. Would definitely come back at this spot again!

bb.q Chicken Cerritos Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - bb.q Chicken Cerritos

I haven't tried the boneless chicken since I assumed it was white meat and prefer dark meat ? Can anyone confirm if it's dark or white? Thank you!

I'm pretty sure it's dark meat

No pasta or ddeok bokki carbonara here?

Cerritos location only has normal and new rosé ddeok bokki (:

How many pieces are in a Medium vs Large order of Whole Chicken/Boneless/Traditional Wings?

Speaking only for traditional (bone-in) wings, there are 10 in the medium order & 20 in the large order!

What is the additional sauce about? If I wanted more honey garlic sauce on the side, I can buy it?

Yes you can buy additional sauces for $1.99 and only are for secret spicy, hot spicy and honey garlic, and their dipping sauces: ranch, ketchup and honey mustard, are free

Do you have the carbonara on your menu like the one at the buena park location?

They do not

Is the tteokbokki in the combo supposed to be smaller than the normal one? The portion was comical, filling up maybe 1/3 of the giant white bowl. There were hardly any toppings on there. The cheese was literally a strip. I know this place isn't Yupddeok but they do a whole swirl on the bowl there. Yikes. And the chicken was... mediocre at best. Very anorexic chicken. And they wanted to charge an extra $2 for sauce. Yeah, we left hungry and unhappy. My sister talked about getting McDonald's on the way home. My husband said we should've gone to Chili's. Next time, we'll make the drive to Yukddeok for tteokbokki. Service was good though, our server was very sweet. I wish I got his name but he was working the evening shift and had black hair and a black t-shirt with Gengar on it. He's the only reason the review got two stars instead of one.

It has been transformed…read moreinto one of the area's premier destinations for authentic Korean comfort food, embracing the traditions of slow-cooked, homestyle recipes passed down through generations. Every dish reflects a dedication to Korean culinary heritage, arriving at the table bubbling, sizzling, and steaming with irresistible aromas. Step inside and you are welcomed by the comforting scent of toasted sesame, simmering garlic, and richly fermented broths that instantly make you feel at home. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and unpretentious, capturing the feeling of gathering around a family dinner table. The menu celebrates soulful Korean classics with bold fermented flavors, slow-simmered stews, casseroles, salad wrap combinations, noodle dishes, and grilled fish, alongside shareable favorites like Korean chive pancakes, seafood pancakes, and abalone porridge. Every meal begins with one of the best complimentary spreads of banchan in town. The assortment is vibrant, tangy, spicy, and refreshingly diverse, featuring dishes that are increasingly difficult to find at many Korean restaurants. Our table included a variety of namul (seasoned vegetables), steamed eggplant, creamy Korean potato salad, japchae, and wonderfully fresh kimchi. Each side dish provided its own balance of flavor and texture while perfectly complementing both steamed rice and the main courses. **Dwaeji Bossam (Steamed Pork with Napa Cabbage) + Doenjang Jjigae (Soybean Paste Stew) Combo, plus banchan - $45.99** The bossam showcases beautifully prepared pork belly that is incredibly moist, tender, and melt-in-your-mouth rich without any unwanted pork odor. Thin slices of pork are elegantly arranged like ribbons and served alongside an impressive assortment of accompaniments: spicy julienned radish kimchi (musaengchae), sliced raw garlic, fresh jalapeños, ssamjang (sweet and savory fermented soybean chili paste), saeujeot (salted fermented shrimp), carrot and cucumber sticks, crisp green leaf lettuce, and blanched napa cabbage for wrapping. Every condiment serves a purpose. The crunchy radish kimchi cuts through the richness of the pork with bright acidity and spice. The saeujeot delivers an intensely savory burst of umami, while the ssamjang contributes a balanced combination of sweetness, heat, and fermented depth. Wrapped together inside fresh lettuce or tender napa cabbage, every bite becomes an explosion of contrasting textures and harmonious flavors. The accompanying doenjang jjigae is equally satisfying. The fermented soybean paste creates a deep, aged savoriness that is rich yet mellow, supported by anchovy stock, garlic, and just enough heat from sliced jalapeños. A slightly thickened broth envelopes silky tofu, tender zucchini, onions, and potatoes, creating one of Korean cuisine's most comforting stews. **Eun Daegu Jorim (Braised Black Cod) - $48.99** The braised black cod is another standout. Buttery, flaky pieces of fish are gently simmered in a glossy reduction that perfectly balances savory, sweet, spicy, and umami flavors. Thick chunks of radish slowly absorb the rich braising liquid until they become almost as satisfying as the fish itself. Just before serving, the dish is finished with freshly diced green onions that contribute brightness and a subtle bite to this deeply comforting classic. Service deserves special recognition. Every member of the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. My family felt immediately at ease from the moment we walked through the door. The servers anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, quietly refilling water glasses and clearing finished plates with thoughtful timing. What impressed me most was the kindness they showed my mother, treating her with genuine warmth, sincere compliments, and the type of hospitality that made us feel less like customers and more like welcomed guests in someone's home. This restaurant beautifully showcases everything that makes Korean comfort food so beloved: slow-cooked recipes made entirely from scratch, deeply flavorful stews, generous portions, exceptional banchan, and heartfelt hospitality. Between the authentic homestyle cooking, robust flavors, and caring service, it has quickly become one of the finest places in the area to experience the warmth and comfort of traditional Korean cuisine.

The side dishes or banchan change frequently, my favorites are the tomato and apple, onion and parsley plus the house made kimchi. Occasionally they have the white or non spicy kimchi which is so delicious and refreshing. We often get the combo cold noodle with beef bulgogi (thin sliced marinated beef) or kalbi (LA style short rib sliced across and marinated then grilled). Love the bossam plate :boiled pork belly served with vegetables for wrapping. Also good is the marinated chicken & veggie wraps combo. The gamjeatang or pork spare rib spicy stew if full of tender pork and stewed vegetables, that I feel is a healthy alternative to the grilled meats. The boochoo neon (I hope I spelled that correctly) or chive pancake is done so well here: tender and crispy on the edges. Great for sharing as an appetizer. They had a line and I was tempted to go but I wanted traditional Korean food instead of pocha style food. It was kind of quiet around 5:30 but by the time I left most tables were filled up--some people eating solo. My honest take of the food is it's like someone's grandparents made it. I'm not Korean so I appreciate the food. It tasted decent but not made with love and that's the difference. You can kind of tell the workers felt rushed or a bit overwhelmed when people started rolling in. Not the friendliest which doesn't matter too much to me, but it's reflected in the food. Tofu soup with the bone in meat was okay. Meat was good (+$4) but the soup was not boiling hot like I saw other soups come out so overall I'd say it's okay. It had a hard time boiling my egg when I dropped it in. The combo I got came with galbi which was decent. Seafood pancake was decent, could have been crispier. The fish I got on the menu right under mackerel, forgot the name but I wouldn't order it again. Felt kind of dry to me. While I don't regret going I left feeling like I won't be back again.
