We stopped in for a bite on Sunday morning while riding bikes along the beach. It was our first time trying this place; I got the s'mores and my husband got the chicken and waffle. I guess I should've realized but the s'mores was basically dessert. It was good and I liked the crispiness of the waffle, but just very sweet for the morning. I just tried Bruxie, and wow absolutely loved it. The chicken was super fresh, and every single thing I ordered was fire. The chicken was seasoned to perfection, juicy, flavorful, and honestly one of the best I've had in a long time. I'm still thinking about how good that chicken was... and it's been two days. We ordered , I chose a delux chicken and waffle sandwiches. The chicken had a thin crispy crust with a nice glove or the meat was juicy, I found the bacon a bit difficult to cut with a plastic knife. Honestly I don't really get the hype. Don't get me wrong the service is good the workers are nice but overall the food looks so good but was disappointing both times i went. I think the major thing for me is I wish the waffles came out more warm and fresh. I feel like they came out really hard and stale both times i got it. They have a parking lot on site and also plenty of street parking. They also have a lot of covered outdoor seating for large groups. I always drive by this location and it's never too busy, honestly kind of slept on. I got three tenders and the waffle! They hooked it up with a lot of maple syrup sauce for my fries. The waffle was very thick and crispy, only downside was it wasn't too doughy like I like. It was also quite affordable. I remember this was once Chronic Tacos and now Bruxie. The restaurant is small, and they've added an enclosed patio which is nice and clean...same with bathrooms. The Long Beach location has a very cute art on their wall that screams Long Beach. I love it. The interior is super cute and spacious. Since the patio is covered, it's great for the pup too! It would make more sense if they offered it as a big salad with waffle croutons instead. Anyway, this location has a very tiny parking lot, but there's plenty of street parking. However, I did go during off-peak hours.... Inside, is tiny, but their dining area is bigger. Although, you're inside, it's technically outside where you're out in the elements. I finally had the opportunity to check out Bruxie. They have been opened for 2 yrs now and my mom and I had lunch here. The guy who took our order was kind enough to let us know what they are known for. I ordered their grilled chicken ranch sandwich with waffle fries and a lemonade drink.
