Fantastic! Huge banh mi sandwiches with nice crusty bread! We came in on a Sunday and we were luckily enough to beat the rush and to score a table. Clean inside and staff was nice. Had we known now big the sandwiches were, we would have shared but they were both yummy and worth it to try two! Be prepared for crumbs because the bread is perfectly toasted! We had a classic and a grilled chicken, and both were stuffed full of meats and veggies. We also had a Thai coffee that was strong but delicious and a pineapple mint juice which was refreshing and a perfect balance to the Banh Mi.

Staff were super friendly, patient, and supportive. They said yes to offering us a sample of the pineapple mint drink and it was delicious I had to buy a cup of it and try their Vietnamese coffee; Both drinks were a hit. I bought myself a crispy pork Bánh Mi and ordered the Classic Bánh Mi. The classic tasted exactly like a Bánh Mi and the crispy pork Bánh Mi tasted more like a delicious sandwich. Parking can be a little tight. This place was busy and for good reason. I would definitely come back to this place and try other sandwiches.

There's places that you come to knowing you're going to get what you expected. This is on of them in Long Beach. Somewhat of a known place if you're looking for banh mi. There's a few other locations and they're all great. This location in the LBC shares a parking lot with 7'11 and other businesses. It's a decent size corner lot which a good amount of parking. Restaurant itself isn't that big. There's a few tables to the sides for dine in but it's more of a take out place. Right when you walk in, the counter is right infront where you place your order. There's a glass counter with drinks and perishable and package food on the counter. Everything is made fresh daily and brought out on a regular. Menu pretty much has all the food selections of the banh mi, plate meals and so on. I picked up a couple of the sandwiches, the combination with a mixture of meats, pate, and of course the pickle veggies. They're number one seller I believe. Also all the baguette are fresh and made in house. Also picked up the bbq pork and grilled chicken. Both excellent as the meat is fresh and served with the pickle veggies. Besides that, they had boa available which was still hot and fresh. Picked some up a couple and pork egg rolls that were in the hot glass display. Plus an order of the springs roll. It's also another dish that's a must here. They're packed and made daily. Besides that, everything on the menu looked amazing. Their rice dishes, noodles and combination meals are all made to order. If you like coffee drinks, it's a must here. Services were great, the staff were all amazing and friendly. Food of course was excellent. Prices have gone up pretty much everywhere you go but it's still worth it.

Being someone who is a fan of banh mis, the grilled pork one from Pickles is definitely one of the best I've ever had. This restaurant puts theirs on a hoagie style bun making it more traditional and savory. Service was quick and easy. I also order 3 other banh mis for friends, the nem nuong they has at the front along with the spring rolls; in the future I would just stick to the banh mis. I also tried their nem chua and it was 7/10. Not as spicy as I would like it.

3rd times a charm! Found a seat. Great sandwich #4 Grilled Pork. Great customer service/ interaction especially when not real busy. The interior is basic Asian sandwich place, but it's pretty clean. Nice place to have a lunch or so ....

Food 4/5: BBQ pork was delicious. The meat was flavored perfect, nice portion size as well. The pickled carrots and fresh jalapeño wad good but a bit too sour for my liking. Service 4/5: Nice service, relatively quick. Very friendly staff. Ambiance 4/5: Clean, organized. Small location, great for a quick lunch!

Rainy day, craving something fast-casual but actually good. Pickle Banh Mi Co hit the spot. What They're Known For This spot is a local favorite for no-frills, authentic Vietnamese banh mi with bold flavors and generous fillings. They're especially known for their house-pickled veggies (that crunch + tang ), and I've seen their banh mi pop up on social feeds for being a great value without cutting corners. Parking Shared lot right out front with a few other businesses (including a 7-Eleven). Easy parking, but just a heads-up: there are often unhoused folks near the 7-Eleven. Vibe / Interior Small, a little rough around the edges, and not the cleanest--but very much a "get in, get fed, get happy" kind of place. A few tables (4-5) if you want to eat there, otherwise very to-go friendly. Good For Takeout, quick bites, and anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese food at a reasonable price. Expect ~$10-15 per person for a sandwich. Noticed a lot of people ordering Thai tea--on my list for next time. Order Ordered ahead via the Toast app (super easy). - Lemongrass Beef Banh Mi - 10/10 - Pork Belly Banh Mi - 10/10 Flavor-packed, perfectly balanced, and incredibly satisfying. Service Fast, efficient, and kind. The cashier even offered to wipe down our table before we ate--small gesture, big points.

Pickle Banh Mi is an incredibly popular spot for a reason! The banh mis and spring rolls are incredibly generous portions. This place gets really busy on the weekends - they have very limited seating for how busy they are, but they have a quick turnover of seats as well. I will admit I gelt a little squished waiting for my order, so if you're getting it to go, it might be best to place your order and then do something else to kill 15-20 minutes and come back for your order. It's a casual restaurant, with a high turnover so you order at the cash register and wait for them to call out your number. Bus your table yourself. The banh mi is huge! It had all the flavors you look for in a typical banh mi. I wish I tasted the pork belly a little more, but overall the sandwich was great! Loved the crispy parts on the pork belly and the bread itself was the perfect texture. 8/10 The pork pastry was SO good! They're only $2.48 per pastry. I highly recommend trying it! The crust is perfectly flaky, and the filling is delicious. 9/10 The spring rolls are huge, great value for the price! I had the shrimp and pork spring roll, it was very solid, there was one perfect bite with my favorite herbs as well, when you get the mint, it really sings. The dipping sauce was good, I added the peanuts. 8/10 There is a parking lot, which was pretty full since this is in a little series of shops, but really parking shouldn't be too much of an issue. I will definitely be back to try the lemon grass beef banh mi and the pork sausage spring rolls!

What a fantastic sandwich! This thing is huge and it's fairly priced. I get why they added "pickle" in their name because they're very generous with it- I love the crunch with every bite. The sauce was surprisingly sweeter than I expected, but, all the flavors had a wonderful balance. I also appreciate that I can bite into the bread without it crumbling all over my shirt. This usually indicates that the bread is good quality and/or it wasn't overly toasted. This rating is solely on the sandwich. I didn't dine-in because it was too hot inside. I'd recommend taking your food to-go for this place.

Plastic wrap inside the thit kho
    Vee P.

I've eaten here before and was in the area so I called in an order of their thit kho (braised pork). I've gotten this and their banh mi in the past and the thit kho was good so I figured it was a safe option. I think they use fake butter in their banh mi and I'm not a fan of that flavor profile so I didn't care for their banh mi. Ordering over the phone was friendly and quick and pick up was a bit slow but no complaints there. When I got back to the hotel and started eating it, I found a piece of plastic wrap in it so that was very bad. The thit kho was still good and the same flavor as before but no one should have to carefully comb through any food they buy to look for plastic wrap. The parking lot is large and easy.

    Yvette M.

Anytime we're in the area, we try to stop by. We've ventured on from the Bahn Mi sandwiches and love to order the Lomo Saltado Rice dish. Make sure you say rice dish. When we forgot, we got the Lomo Saltado Bahn Mi and it's just not the same. Call ahead for faster service and to avoid the wait. There are a few tables, but it's definitely more of a take-out spot. On this visit the Lomo Saltado did have way less steak than previous visits, but it was still delicious.

    Crispy pork Banh mi.

Y'all... The reviews and experience definitely lived up to the hype -- the banh mi was absolutely incredible. Service was exceptional. The banh mi was bursting with flavor. Although I usually try to avoid pork, I couldn't resist trying the crispy pork -- it was delicious. The special banh mi was also outstanding. Prices range from $8 for the sandwiches to $10 for the premium options. Vietnamese coffee was just as good. Mom and I rated it 5/5. Restroom available, and there's plenty of parking.

Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 My favorite 1) BBQ pork 2) Crispy pork 3) Cold cut combination 4) Meatballs 5) Lemongrass Alright.... After coming here handful of times. I give this place the crown for best Banh mi I ever had but you have to sit down and eat there right away. I was torn between BBQ Pork and crispy pork to give number one spot. At the end I just have to factor in the fact that crispy pork is few dollars more, I just bump it down to 2. It will be great if I can make half and half. That will be perfect solution to taste everything. I wish they open another store in SGV.

Every dish we've tried has been full of flavor and genuinely worth ordering. Surprisingly, compared to other Thai spots, it's usually not overly packed and honestly I'm almost scared to say that because I don't want it to change. The service has always been great, the food comes out quickly, and the portions/prices feel reasonable. So far, our favorites have been the pad see ew, tom yum soup (medium spice), egg fried rice, fried calamari and the beef BBQ which was so good we immediately ordered a second plate. The mango sticky rice is also really good, but the portion is on the smaller side, so we ended up getting two orders since one plate is hard to share with more than 2-3 people. Parking has been easy for us so far since there's both a parking lot and nearby street parking. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants that's officially in our regular rotation.

The restaurant itself is nice and clean, including the restrooms, which I always appreciate. The staff was very customer service oriented and did a great job making suggestions and giving tips about the menu and spice levels, which was super helpful. I started with the Money Bags, which are basically fried dumplings. Mine were a little overcooked, almost close to burnt. They still had decent flavor, but I'd personally rate them about a 2.9 out of 5. I also had the green papaya salad with mild spice, and the spice level was perfect, especially for people who are sensitive to heat. I usually stick around medium spice at Thai restaurants, but even the mild here still gives you a nice kick. For my drink, I got the Thai tea, which came topped with a Thai tea popsicle that slowly melted into the drink. Such a cute touch, creative, and tasty. For my entrée, I had the basil garlic sauce with sliced steak and a side of rice, which I really enjoyed. For dessert, we shared the mango sticky rice. It was good, but I do feel like it was a little overpriced for the portion size. Maybe part of that is because of the specialty rice they use that has the purple hue. I know a few places in Long Beach where you can get more for the same price. That said, the presentation was really cute with the flower garnish and everything looked beautiful. The atmosphere was nice. It has an open kitchen concept, so you can actually see the cooking happening, which adds to the experience. Seating is somewhat limited and the tables are fairly close together in certain sections, especially where the divider walls are, so you can definitely hear nearby conversations depending on where you sit. Great food, clean restaurant, and strong customer service. I'd definitely come back. Flavor Profile (for reference): Umami-forward (savory, salty depth) Acidic or bright (tangy + sour) Pungent and intense (spicy and bitter notes) Drink Preference (for reference): Bitter-forward cocktails Balanced acidity Light sweetness only, not overly sugary

Walk inside and--on this Saturday, January 3rd--it's still decorated for Christmas, which somehow adds to the cozy, unpretentious vibe. It's around 2:30 p.m. and the place is packed, which is always a great sign. We ordered the chicken pho with ginger sauce and the brisket & rare steak pho. You get the classic sides--lime, bean sprouts, basil--and we also added the crispy egg rolls, which came out hot and crunchy with a satisfying bite. The pho arrived piping hot, deeply aromatic, and comforting in that way only a well-made broth can be. They give you chopsticks for the noodles and a large spoon for the soup--exactly how it should be. The portions are generous, especially for the price. Around $12 gets you a big, steaming bowl that feels like a full meal, not a tease. The broth is clean, rich, and balanced--not greasy, not salty--perfect for a cold, rainy Long Beach day on the Cambodia side of town. I took my time with it, savoring all the layers of flavor, especially after adding sriracha and hoisin (which is absolutely the move here). The beef was tender, the rare steak cooked perfectly in the hot broth, and the noodles held up all the way through. What really stood out was the atmosphere. There's mellow, calming music playing in the background that makes the whole lunch experience feel peaceful and grounding--no rush, no noise chaos, just people enjoying good food. Come hungry.
