I have been interested in trying Pho since I've never had it before. I have to say I'm so glad I chose this place as my introduction! I ordered Pho from this restaurant on DoorDash and it came deconstructed, fresh and hot, which I appreciated! I got pho with chicken and the chicken/beef broth. The broth mixed with the herbaceous flavor of the mint and green onion was simply amazing. I don't know what took me so long to get hip to Pho but I'm a fan! This will definitely be on my go to spot list.

Pho

Just moved to LB from OC which honestly changes you palate when it comes to Asian food. I was feeling a litlle under the weather so I ordered take out. The food was ready on time and the ingredients were fresh, but the pho was very mediocre. The meat was high quality but i could tell that the broth was alright. The price was cheaper compared to OC but it tasted more like soup than actual pho in my opinion.

Chicken pho

A decent spot for pho and noodles. I only ordered takeout so I cannot speak on the dine in experience! I wouldn't say it's super authentic or the best pho in town but it definitely helps with your cravings! I like the shaking beef garlic noodles though I think it's a bit greasy/salty and the noodles are too thin for garlic noodles. However still tasty! The chicken pho is decent but fairly bland. The eggrolls are good and crispy. Food: 6/10 Parking: 7/10 (street parking always available) Takeout: 8/10 (always fast for pickup) Environment: 8/10 (right in downtown, fun spot, dog friendly, outdoor and indoor seating available, never too busy)

My Summer Rolls minus one of course ... this was so light and yummy

Never have complaints... the girls are alway sweet and the food is always fresh. I don't come here often, but when I do get a chance, the flavors are always the exact same, nothing changes and that a bonus for me! There's plenty of seating in the restaurant and there's a bar and tv screens. Come check it out you won't regret it.

Pho with tendon

Order Pho with beef tendon and the protein was all fat, slimmy and disgusting. Tendon at other Pho restaurants is not like this. More fat than meat.

Saigon salad with chicken

Lunch was just ok. This restaurant is modern and attractive with clean restrooms and friendly servers. I am just not a fan of their version of Vietnamese cuisine. My Saigon salad noodle bowl had giant shrimp chips on top, and lots of dark meat chicken. Unremarkable though. Husbands lemongrass chicken had lots of dark meat chicken and a big pile of rice. Filling but unmemorable. Many examples of this cuisine include some vegetables with this dish, but not here. No side salad, no fish sauce vinaigrette for dunking. Don't think we'll be back, unless nothing else is open.

Not the best vermicelli. We got the pho and the chicken vermicelli and both were subpar... unsure if they were even using the correct noodles. Fish sauce was not fishy enough. Pho broth was... alright, but it wasn't authentic, not enough spices or beef flavor. I think it's good for convenience, staff is also very friendly, but that's about it.

The pho bowl with brisket and rare flank
Chris Y.

I'm a big pho fan! This place has many options to enjoy. When you walk in just look to the right and walk right over and order. With the pho you get 3 protein choices and I opted for one brisket and two helpings of rare flank and it was worth it!! Then when you get your number you'll get to enjoy a huge selection of seating The portions are amazing!!! I loved the flavor and how filling it was! Great seating and cheap parking available.

This is how hard the beef is.

This is how hard the beef is. The price was decent. Very affordable place. Do not order the popcorn chicken tho.

Banh Mi

Viet food with a twist! A cute spot in Long Beach for your Viet food cravings. The vermicelli rolls are delicious , stuffed with lemongrass pork and comes with a fish/peanut sauce that is quite refreshing and flavorful! It's a cool and fun concept to customize your own pho - the broth is warm and a lil sweet. The lemongrass pork plate was perfect with a fried egg and the fish sauce & salad. My fav was the pork banh mi - superrrr flavorful and filling. Food was overall on the sweeter side.

Mango Green tea + fresh lychee pieces

My boyfriend and I used to frequent this location quite often, it was super convenient due to the distance to where we would meet after work and the food is really great. Recently we stopped coming here due to the staff refusing service or rushing guests as it gets close to their closing hour. I work in the service industry myself and know even the final sales before closing are pretty important to small businesses. Considering how many employees they have on the clock (always 3 in BOH and at least 3 in FOH) I'm sure labor needs to be made up for with some sales as it is never busy when we have dined in here. We always spend $50 minimum + tip generously, so this last visit we decided we would not bring this location our business. The last 3 visits felt very rushed and uncomfortable, we ended up asking for to-go containers every single time so we could finish our food outside in our car instead of enjoying the dine in experience during the final business hours. One of the cashiers told me they do not get paid if they are still there past the closing hour. This is illegal, so management should look into labor laws and provide staff with enough time after closing time, to complete the closing tasks. E.G: Business is closed to customers/no more sales at 8PM. Staff should be scheduled until 8:30-9PM, reasonable amount of time to close without dealing with orders or dine in customers. We really loved their pho but truthfully there is great Vietnamese food in other parts of Long Beach that is more authentic and that will make sure we feel welcomed and valued.

Spacedust and Stone IPA

123 Pho has definitely became one of my new favorite foodie spots recently! My boyfriend and I had a hankering for some pho and as I came across this joint on Yelp we decided to give it a shot! The ambiance was fortunately laidback for a Friday evening and ordering was quick and easy! Each customizable Pho bowl ranges at around 13.99 and you get to choose between thin or wide noodles, your 3 proteins of choice and your broth flavor. I decided to opt for thin noodles, double brisket & chicken, and chicken and beef broth. I also ordered an alcoholic strawberry slushie which was quite a creeper and tasted so good that you wouldn't even realize it contained alcohol upon consuming! Portions were generous as the pho bowls are HUGE! I enjoyed my bowl and I'd recommend to ask the servers for chili oil on the side as the tables only include sriracha and hoisin sauce. Besides our main dishes I also ordered the popcorn chicken and I loved every bite as well as the sauce it comes with. To finish off the meal we ordered a round of IPA's. Overall good service, great food, and great vibes! I'd definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for some yummy pho!

Obviously so good!

Chicken and tofu with wide noodles . And brisket with wide noodles ! Also a Thai tea . Only this is that I wish there was more chicken instead of tofu

Are the crispy baos vegan if we choose vegetarian filling?

How late do they deliver?

They stop delivering at 10:30 sweetheart. A good rule of thumb is, put in an order between 10 & 10:15pm.

Do they mention whether they use MSG?

Glutamate is almost in everything you eat. Funny how this xenophobia myth still lives. MSG is nothing more than protein mixed with salt. Glutamate is extracted from fruits and vegetables and is crystallized with sodium to stabilize the compound.… Read more

Do they have any rice noodles?

The pho noodles and vermicelli noodles are rice noodles.

Upon arriving, we were greeted and asked to sit to wait for a table. It was busy but not crowded. The waitress handed us menus to look at while we waited for a table which was a nice gesture and allowed us to be ready when seated. It took less than 10 min to get seated. Once seated, they were fairly quick to come and take our order. We ordered: 1. Satay chicken 2. Yellow Curry with Chicken 3. Beef Pad See Ew and 4. Shrimp Pad Thai Everything was absolutely amazing! I could eat yellow curry for the rest of my life and this was one of the best ones I've had. We did get a red Eden cocktail and a beer. The cocktail was good! Not too sweet or strong. Service was great, too! Friendly and very attentive. The restaurant itself is very clean and the decor is very demure haha it's cute and spacious. Very welcoming! This is such a hidden gem! I'm so happy we decided to try this place out. We will definitely be back!! Worth the drive!!

KIN Thai Cuisine in Long Beach off Broadway is a really solid spot…read more Parking is available, but it is limited, so just keep that in mind depending on the time you go. The restaurant itself is nice and clean, including the restrooms, which I always appreciate. The staff was very customer service oriented and did a great job making suggestions and giving tips about the menu and spice levels, which was super helpful. I started with the Money Bags, which are basically fried dumplings. Mine were a little overcooked, almost close to burnt. They still had decent flavor, but I'd personally rate them about a 2.9 out of 5. I also had the green papaya salad with mild spice, and the spice level was perfect, especially for people who are sensitive to heat. I usually stick around medium spice at Thai restaurants, but even the mild here still gives you a nice kick. For my drink, I got the Thai tea, which came topped with a Thai tea popsicle that slowly melted into the drink. Such a cute touch, creative, and tasty. For my entrée, I had the basil garlic sauce with sliced steak and a side of rice, which I really enjoyed. For dessert, we shared the mango sticky rice. It was good, but I do feel like it was a little overpriced for the portion size. Maybe part of that is because of the specialty rice they use that has the purple hue. I know a few places in Long Beach where you can get more for the same price. That said, the presentation was really cute with the flower garnish and everything looked beautiful. The atmosphere was nice. It has an open kitchen concept, so you can actually see the cooking happening, which adds to the experience. Seating is somewhat limited and the tables are fairly close together in certain sections, especially where the divider walls are, so you can definitely hear nearby conversations depending on where you sit. Great food, clean restaurant, and strong customer service. I'd definitely come back. Flavor Profile (for reference): Umami-forward (savory, salty depth) Acidic or bright (tangy + sour) Pungent and intense (spicy and bitter notes) Drink Preference (for reference): Bitter-forward cocktails Balanced acidity Light sweetness only, not overly sugary

Walk inside and--on this Saturday, January 3rd--it's still decorated for Christmas, which somehow adds to the cozy, unpretentious vibe. It's around 2:30 p.m. and the place is packed, which is always a great sign. We ordered the chicken pho with ginger sauce and the brisket & rare steak pho. You get the classic sides--lime, bean sprouts, basil--and we also added the crispy egg rolls, which came out hot and crunchy with a satisfying bite. The pho arrived piping hot, deeply aromatic, and comforting in that way only a well-made broth can be. They give you chopsticks for the noodles and a large spoon for the soup--exactly how it should be. The portions are generous, especially for the price. Around $12 gets you a big, steaming bowl that feels like a full meal, not a tease. The broth is clean, rich, and balanced--not greasy, not salty--perfect for a cold, rainy Long Beach day on the Cambodia side of town. I took my time with it, savoring all the layers of flavor, especially after adding sriracha and hoisin (which is absolutely the move here). The beef was tender, the rare steak cooked perfectly in the hot broth, and the noodles held up all the way through. What really stood out was the atmosphere. There's mellow, calming music playing in the background that makes the whole lunch experience feel peaceful and grounding--no rush, no noise chaos, just people enjoying good food. Come hungry. They give you a lot of food, and it's the kind of meal that's hard to stop eating even when you're full. Pho 881 delivers comfort, consistency, and value--exactly what you want from a neighborhood pho spot.

Needless to say, I ain't listening anymore!!! So this place was rated by a (crappy) Influencer a 5 star rating. Did he have taste buds? Has he ever tried pho before? What made him the authority on great Pho? I have so many questions! HIGH PASS. NOPE. NOT THIS PLACE. I walked in, found a table, sat alone for 5 min waiting for someone to bring me a menu....i had to go to the counter and ring the bell. Turns out, the owner was sitting there the whole time looking at his phone and didn't even hear me come in. Got the combo. Another guy came out to serve it with no gloves on and half a finger in my soup bowl. Not to mention, the soup bowl was quite dirty on the outside. The basil leaves had black spots on them and there was nothing I could write home about this soup, pho or beef bits. It's SoCal baby! There is so much Pho competition here. Don't believe the self titled (looking for free food) Influencers. I would not step in this joint ever again. 0/10 PASS.

So, i went on the hunt for a new one. I recently found this Cyclo Noodles just down the street from my place. And today, i decided to give it a try. Cyclo Noodles is a casual and laid back, family owned Vietnamese and Cambodian restaurant in Long Beach, CA. It is situated at the traffic circle in the recently renovated shopping center adjacent to the Sprouts supermarket and other small restaurants. It is a self service model where you order first at the kiosk and take a seat. They have seating inside and outside. There is plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. According to Google, it is their only location. it is known for its pho, noodle dishes, and other comfort foods. Their menu is varied with Vietnamese, Cambodian & Thai specialties including dishes such as pho (with beef, chicken, vegetable), vermicelli noodle dishes, and fresh spring rolls. Their Thai options include Pad Thai, Pad See Iew, and Chicken Curry Vermicelli. For Vegetarian options, they offer vegetarian pho, tofu spring rolls, and other plant-based options. They also serve Pineapple Fried Rice, Phnom Penh Noodle, and various salads. (See photos for full menu) Today, i placed my order on their website. It is simple and intuitive. The menu is easy to read and offers customization options with quick apple pay checkout. The service is quick and friendly and my food was ready faster than the time allowed. By the time i received my text message telling me that my food was ready, i was already in my vehicle and on my way home. I got an order of spring rolls with shrimp. You get 3 large rolls. I got an order of beef on a stick. You get 3 Sticks. And I got a Thai Iced tea. Overall Everything was tasty. The beef was somewhat tender and my only complaint is that half of my beef was marble (fat) and therefore inedible. Otherwise, that won't keep me from going back to explore some of the other items on the menu and i recommend trying Cyclo Noodles for your next Vietnamese food fix.
