I always only go here to get a lychee slush when I'm hungover which is BOMBBBB. But I ordered pho on Uber Eats the other day when I was sick and it was extremely lackluster. Nothing special about this pho, the flank was super chewy but the brisket was soft. Why I come here to write a review though; they had a buy one get one free deal on the spring rolls. We randomly walked in craving pho. It was a guy in a collared shirt working and a girl up in the front . The guy rang us up and he looked like he hates his job bad. No attitude to us, but very low energy in general and just his face. And also stares at people , no welcoming in. He also just was on his phone then proceeds to work. The girl is sweet however. I would definitely recommend coming back during happy hour. I had a craving for a summer roll. I had shrimp with mine. Also they typically provide fish sauce so I asked for a peanut sauce imo way better. It tasted fresh and shrimp was plump and refreshing. I would order that again. They also have a bogo during happy hour..being non alcoholic beverages, I ordered a green tea lychee and a berry smoothie. Those were pretty good a bit on the sweet side but to be expected. I have been interested in trying Pho since I've never had it before. I have to say I'm so glad I chose this place as my introduction! I ordered Pho from this restaurant on DoorDash and it came deconstructed, fresh and hot, which I appreciated! I got pho with chicken and the chicken/beef broth. The broth mixed with the herbaceous flavor of the mint and green onion was simply amazing. I don't know what took me so long to get hip to Pho but I'm a fan! This place used to be good but I think they changed their broth and now taste like a beef noodle packet. Along with that the service was not so good, me and my spouse ordered two pho bowls and they only brought one and it took ten minutes to bring the other bowl meanwhile the bowl was sitting at the counter ready. My Saigon salad noodle bowl had giant shrimp chips on top, and lots of dark meat chicken. Unremarkable though. Husbands lemongrass chicken had lots of dark meat chicken and a big pile of rice. Filling but unmemorable. Many examples of this cuisine include some vegetables with this dish, but not here. No side salad, no fish sauce vinaigrette for dunking. My boyfriend and I used to frequent this location quite often, it was super convenient due to the distance to where we would meet after work and the food is really great. Recently we stopped coming here due to the staff refusing service or rushing guests as it gets close to their closing hour. I work in the service industry myself and know even the final sales before closing are pretty important to small businesses. Considering how many employees they have on the clock (always 3 in BOH and at least 3 in FOH) I'm sure labor needs to be made up for with some sales as it is never busy when we have dined in here. We always spend $50 minimum + tip generously, so this last visit we decided we would not bring this location our business. The last 3 visits felt very rushed and uncomfortable, we ended up asking for to-go containers every single time so we could finish our food outside in our car instead of enjoying the dine in experience during the final business hours. One of the cashiers told me they do not get paid if they are still there past the closing hour. This is illegal, so management should look into labor laws and provide staff with enough time after closing time, to complete the closing tasks. E.G: Business is closed to customers/no more sales at 8PM. Staff should be scheduled until 8:30-9PM, reasonable amount of time to close without dealing with orders or dine in customers. We really loved their pho but truthfully there is great Vietnamese food in other parts of Long Beach that is more authentic and that will make sure we feel welcomed and valued. read more

123 Pho has definitely became one of my new favorite foodie spots recently! My boyfriend and I had a hankering for some pho and as I came across this joint on Yelp we decided to give it a shot! The ambiance was fortunately laidback for a Friday evening and ordering was quick and easy! Each customizable Pho bowl ranges at around 13.99 and you get to choose between thin or wide noodles, your 3 proteins of choice and your broth flavor. I decided to opt for thin noodles, double brisket & chicken, and chicken and beef broth. I also ordered an alcoholic strawberry slushie which was quite a creeper and tasted so good that you wouldn't even realize it contained alcohol upon consuming! Portions were generous as the pho bowls are HUGE! I enjoyed my bowl and I'd recommend to ask the servers for chili oil on the side as the tables only include sriracha and hoisin sauce. Besides our main dishes I also ordered the popcorn chicken and I loved every bite as well as the sauce it comes with. To finish off the meal we ordered a round of IPA's. So today's Friday 4/17/26 7pm. Went in to order the buy one get one free shaking beef special as they advertised on Facebook advertisement only to be told that it's not good for today only up till Thursday no where does it indicate that on the advertisement which I have included in my photos. So was disappointed that I had to pay for two shaken beef plates with noodles that did not come with a salad as the picture show and I explained to the waiter he said that we didn't get a salad cuz we did not order the rice, what? Nowhere did it indicate that on the menu either, I guess he thought about it and came back with a salad for me and my husband to share and apologized. So into the meal the beef was tasty however the noodles were soaked in grease I didn't know how bad it was till I looked down at my shirt and my husband's shirt and saw all kinds of grease on our clothes that dripped off the noodles. The noodles were good but I don't believe all that grease was necessary as you can see in the photos it comes with green onions the sauce on it was tasty just not good or healthy with all that oil on it. read more

I would give them a 3.5 for the friendly and quick service and decent flavors, but it was just a little fattier than I prefer when it comes to soup and the meats. There's a limited quantity of tendon available, but honestly, I would skip it as it was really fatty tasting. It did make the soup a little heavier than it would normally be without. Noodles were solid and they give lots of meat. There is plenty of seating inside and pretty spacious. Pretty simple and modern feel to the place. Tried this place on a whim. The pho can be customed with either thick or thin noodles along with up to 3 different types of meat. The broth is last to choose with either beef and chicken or vegetarian. I chose to do thick noodles with all brisket and beef broth. Everything tasted delicious. The broth was very light in heaviness and still that flavor profile of pho all wrapped in a bowl. The meat was soft and melted in my mouth. The staff was very nice and the food came out quick. Once we got our pho, I already noticed that they skimp on the noodles. I tried breaking the noodles apart and noticed how small it was. They didn't give enough noodles but so much soup. Honestly a very acceptable pho spot and maybe the tastiest place on the Promenade (I have eaten at every spot on the Promenade and yes, the bar is low when it comes to food). They have a horrible deal with Uber Eats for pick up orders. If you accidentally order from the wrong location and cancel seconds to minute too late, they continue the cancellation but charge you the full amount for the food. I called this location and asked if I can just pick up the order that was cancelled, since I was still charged for it. Uber Eats refused to refund because they claimed the order was already in preparation. The lady who answered saw my order and said she would call me after speaking to her manager. No one ever called back. I even emailed twice, weeks apart and no response from anyone. The lady on the phone on admitted that the order just gets sent to them automatically and the machine responds it's in preparation. It was actually NOT in preparation. So I didn't get my food or my money back because I was a minute late to cancel. read more
