Honestly a very acceptable pho spot and maybe the tastiest place on the Promenade (I have eaten at every spot on the Promenade and yes, the bar is low when it comes to food). Tbh, I didn't expect anything amazing when it comes to asian food in DTLB but actually this spot (I've been 4x now) consistently pleases me! Prices are good. Taste is good and acceptably authentic. Dare I say - some things like the vermicelli rolls - even delicious and crave worthy on occasion. They have a lot of noodle options which I LOVE. fast and easy, friendly service, online ordering - perfect for a quick takeout dinner if you live in DTLB - really can't complain! I docked a star for two reasons - they served me a rubber band in my pho once. Shame. Their service is top notch though- I called and they immediately refunded me and apologized. They apologized twice. Therefore I keep going back on busy weeknights and haven't had a rubber band since. Also, they need a dessert menu! They have a horrible deal with Uber Eats for pick up orders. If you accidentally order from the wrong location and cancel seconds to minute too late, they continue the cancellation but charge you the full amount for the food. I called this location and asked if I can just pick up the order that was cancelled, since I was still charged for it. Uber Eats refused to refund because they claimed the order was already in preparation. The lady who answered saw my order and said she would call me after speaking to her manager. No one ever called back. I even emailed twice, weeks apart and no response from anyone. The lady on the phone on admitted that the order just gets sent to them automatically and the machine responds it's in preparation. It was actually NOT in preparation. So I didn't get my food or my money back because I was a minute late to cancel. read more

Not sure how this place has 4 stars. As someone who loves pho, the beef broth is the only item that deserves 4 stars. When I walked in it was pretty empty, didn't feel like the ac was on and the person at the register seemed impatient. When I sat down after ordering, I noticed the tables were dirty, there were noodles and trash on the floor. The place was pretty empty btw. I'd hate to see what the restrooms looked like. I asked if they could wipe the table but they only wiped the part of the table where I was sitting and the wet towel smelled like it was sitting in dirty cleaning water. I got my food and waited for someone to come check on me so I can ask for a small plate to put dipping sauce in for my beef but no one came, so I used what I had. I stayed since I had already ordered but didn't bother finishing it bc the rare beef was so thick to bite. This place isn't terrible but it's definitely not worth 4 stars. read more

It's in a prime location with ample indoor and outdoor seating, a parking garage nearby that offers 2 hours free, the ambiance is cool and modern, and the menu options are customizable and good quality. It's fast casual so there isn't a lot of interaction with staff but the service we received from the cashier was good. Something that could be improved is the flavor of the broth and texture of the chicken. I ordered veggie and chicken pho with thick noodles and chicken broth. My eyes delighted at the sight but my tastebuds weren't as happy. I can't quite put my finger on what is off about the broth but I can say the recipe could be spruced up a bit, and the chicken could be more tender. OK Pho in very modern surroundings in Downtown Long Beach. It is set-up like a fast food joint, where you order and pay at the front counter, are given a table tag and the food is delivered for you (there was no place to self-bus so assuming it is taken care of by the staff). Wanted to try a variety of things that appealed to me on the menu, but common sense won out over my stomach (this time) and just ordered their pho. For $13.85, you choose the type of rice noodle (wide or thin), up to 3 proteins, and meat or vegetarian broth...there is only one size. There is a self serve soda fountain with Coke products, and they will give you a full size glass if you just want water. The pho came out fast. It reminded me of a good food court pho version (i.e. the broth has not been cooking in beef bones for 12 hours). The broth was dark, not oily at all, and just lukewarm...but the right kind of spices, bouillon, flavoring was added to produce a tasty broth. It came with very fresh toppings, including thai basil, fresh bean sprouts, lime wedge, and jalapeno slices for heat and very thinly sliced white onion,. But because the soup wasn't hot, the basil didn't really have a chance to transfer it's flavor. The beef meatball wasn't good...initially I thought it was still frozen, but it had thawed...but small and dense and not much. The beef brisket was excellent, tender and plentiful. They did have tendon...couple of gelatinous chunks which was good...but they also gave me big chunks of fat from the brisket, which I had to pick out. They don't have tripe, but do have rare flank (but would be a problem since the soup wasn't hot enough to cook it). As for the noodles themselves...not much was given, and it had been slightly overcooked before added to the soup. I would stick with the thin rice noodles next time. There were plenty of servers and cooks, and all were pleasant to each other and to customers. Service was friendly, I asked some questions about the milk teas and was given good advice, meals were brought out quickly and all our needs were met. For the food: it was delicious, generous portions and reasonably priced. I had the Golden Milk Tea with boba, I should have asked about sweetness levels since it was much too sweet for my taste. That's on me, I drank it anyway and it went well with my food. Shared the fried pork and egg bao which was delicious 9/10. The dipping sauces were good and pork stuffed anything is a winner. Had the Banh Mi with sliced pork and was completely satisfied with that. It was a huge portion, loads of fresh veggies and thinly sliced pork.
