Waited over 40 minutes for one order of pad thai and cream cheese rangoons to be made. Pretty bland and honestly an ABSURD wait time for overpriced, mediocre food. Super disappointing for the price point as well. A 40 minute ticket time at any food establishment is unacceptable on a slow, low volume night. There were also tons of tofu chunks in my pad thai? Didn't order tofu and cant eat tofu so Im spending even more time picking it out of my food with the messed up, deformed fork they so kindly packed for me. Long-time customer who has seen them evolve for the better. I used to ask them to add an option to order extra meat and eventually they did. They've also added an option to select avocado oil for the stir fry dishes (healthier!), and they often rotate new and different dishes to keep the menu fresh (please keep the chicken katsu!). The menu descriptions can be quirky -- "Please be cautious with your fish sauce consumption. Just one tablespoon contains 1,413 mg of sodium... but damm fish sauce is so good tho!" It is. And so is Phi Thai's food! Some of my favorites-- panang curry, yellow curry, pad thai (they claim to use real tamarind), and pad see ew. Order everything. Just maybe skip the side of fish sauce. ;) read more

Ordered delivery from here after deliberating between our tried and true Thai spots and craving something new. This spot is definitely joining our delivery rotation. Food came to us really well packed and piping hot. We tried: Pad Thai: so no joke, this is legit tamarind, tangy and nutty, not too salty and not too sweet. The flavor and texture were super fresh, we were really pleased. If you're not used to eating tamarind in your diet, enjoy but proceed with caution because you might have a noisy tummy later. Spicy Basil Fried Rice: So we might have been a bit bold ordering a spicy dish extra spicy not knowing what we were getting ourselves into but this was fire (in both connotations of the word). Super tasty but dang, dude. Panang Curry: Less than anticipated in the container, but it definitely made it up with its richness, complexity, surprising sweetness, and heat. This curry was a straight up masterpiece, especially when ordered spicy, but note that it is definitely heavier on the sweet side than most other panang you might find locally. Fried Beef Dumplings: Succulent, crispy, and just delicious. Best eaten fresh and dipped in their house-made sauces. Thai Iced Tea: A generous size for what you pay. My bf and I had slept the entire day and were hungry late at night for some quality food and we were on Uber eats and found this place was open 1am. I ordered a drunken noodle and it's one of the best drunken noodle I've ever had. It even comes with egg which other places I've had to ask for egg. The veggies are so fresh and crispy. The food quality is amazing. The zucchini and bell peppers were so yummy. Portions are huge and my bf loved his pad Thai. He said it's his fave and he wishes he ordered more. Food also came so fast. My gf and I were craving Thai food last night around midnight and there weren't too many options available on Uber eats but this place caught my eye and made our night ! I ordered the chicken pad Thai and she ordered the drunken noodles and both came PIPING HOT. What I really liked is that the prices were very reasonable for late night food and the portions were also very large as well. I didn't get to try the drunken noodles but the pad Thai was very tasty . The noodles were very flavorful and had the perfect amount of spice . I will the say the chicken was a little dry for my liking but that could be because it was a delivery order and it got over cooked in transit . I'm actually reluctant to give Phi Thai a good review just because I'm selfish and don't want it getting overrun. But this place never misses. I've only ever ordered takeout from here, so I can't speak to the location itself, but the food is made with love and you can taste it. There is a decent variety of options, from curries and fried rice variations to stir fry and different fried appetizers, and everything I've tried here has been absolutely delicious. While I am not vegan myself, there are a lot of vegan options as well, which is always an added bonus. I've been ordering from here since 2020ish and have never been disappointed. I recently ordered the pumpkin curry, a seasonal dish, as well as the vegetable spring rolls and the plumb sauce. Decadent. Silky smooth pumpkin notes with a little bit of heat. Spring rolls had a nice crunch to them, and the plumb sauce is almost like a jelly with some subtle sweetness that nicely complimented the more savory spring roll. My lady swears by the yellow curry and exclusively orders that every time, whereas I've tried a few different dishes from this place. The Panang is fire, the red curry is fire, the pineapple fried rice is fire and the green soda is like sprite on steroids with delicious bits of jelly floating in it and an alluring green hue. You can get a giant 32oz of Thai tea with boba which is also an indulgent treat. Delivery takes around an hour, but based a convo I had with one of the staff (I believe it was the owner/chef) they make everything to order and I can assure you the wait is worth it. This place is also open pretty late which is a huge reprieve from the usual offerings of fast food chain restaurants and one off pizza place that stays open late if you are looking for a great bite to eat but work weird hours. I cannot sing Phi Thai's praises enough. 10/10 every single time. Worth every penny, every time, even with inflation and high delivery app fees. Not their fault and even if it were, it'd be worth it still. I would've posted pics of all of the food, but I destroyed it already. The green soda is actually green though and delicious and my lady is saving the rest of her yellow curry for a hearty midnight snack. Don't sleep on this place. Funny thing, I ordered here the same time I ordered Sugar Spice to compare. Im 100% calling Phi Thai again. The Garlic rice was a new dish for me. #LOVED IT!!! The garlic flavor was strong but not overwhelming. Im also a lover of panang curry. I had a few bites but husband ate the rest. He never eats my curry so you know it was delish. WOW! By far the best Thai in LA or OC! It's truly authentic down to flavor and spice levels. All their ingredients are fresh even down to the fried tofu (which was fried outside and soft inside). I'm a native New Yorker and have travelled to Thailand. This is as close as you can get. I throughly enjoyed my food that I had to write a review right afterwards.
