Party tray was very delicious!

If you're looking for delicious Thai food in Long Beach, Aura Thai is a must-try. We go to this place pretty often and recently ordered from them for my wife's birthday party as well and it was such a great experience. They just launched their new party tray menu, so we decided to give it a try and wow, it was a hit! Every single dish was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Our guests kept asking where the food was from and everyone loved it. The portions were generous and perfect for hosting a group. Some of our favorites were the Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, Panang Curry, and the Thai BBQ Chicken, everything tasted good. The owner and the workers are genuinely kind, welcoming people who care about their customers. They made the ordering process easy and were very accommodating with details. We will definitely be ordering again and recommending Aura Thai to all our friends and family.

Thai Iced Tea, Panang Curry, Orange Chicken, Drunken Noodles, Firecracker Wings
Louna N.

Firecracker wings was the favorite part of our meal that we ordered it twice because it was crispy and had good flavor. The chicken was tender and not dry. If you order medium spice, be prepared because it is spicy. The Orange chicken was crispy yet tangy--definitely helped that it came with rice or it would've been a very sour dish on its own. Drunken noodles kind of was disappointing because it wasn't as salty or flavorful as most places but highlight would be that they used really big/wide noodles. Friendly service. Ambiance is casual.

Yet another amazing trip to Aura Thai. Absolutely loved the yellow curry. It had a wonderful sweet yet spicy flavor to it. It was just what I was looking for on this day! The LARGE thai iced tea. Folks, it's served in a doggon vase. It is large lol Thanks Chris for a great lunch at your place

Delivery food ordered. Received Won Ton Soup, Curry Chicken, Pad Thai Noodles and Thai Ice Tea. All were delicious, no complaints. I gave this place 4 of 5 stars since I did not actually dine at this location. I was not able to experience the full vibe. Food is delicious which is all that mattered. Serving size is decent. Since the food was so good, I actually wanted more and was not satisfied by the serving size provided.

This place is horrible.. ordered pork prik king but I got chicken and they tried to lied that it was chicken.. I literally could tell the difference... I would never ordered from there again.. the fact that they tried to lied and keeps insisting it's not .. went I could tell it's chicken meat ..definitely will go else where!!! Again , came here three years ago ... left a review.. about how bad it was .. now 3 years later .. again .. I wanted to see if there's any changes .. or something.. wanted to try it again .. but definitely I'm done .. this place sucks!!

Goopy drunken noodles. I think the kitchen might be drunk.

This review is going to hurt. Because the customer service is 5/5. But the food is 1/5. 1 star for good flavoring. The rest is pretty bad. The drunken noodles were so stuck to each other it was just a pile of goop that formed to the plate. The only way to eat it was to cut up chunks of it at a time like it was jello. Although ordering it with meat, the dish was filled with veggies for more than half the space.

I've been coming to aura Thai for years and it's been a bit since I've ordered from here but I was shocked with the prices now. I ordered four dishes for pick up and they came out to $70 total not including tip. The food isn't bad but it isn't great either so it's definitely not worth the price. I ordered a fried rice, chow mein and 2 glass noodle salads. I thought it would be about $55 or so. I usually spend $50 for pho for fam of 5 (3 of which are children) or $80 at my favorite Thai place for 6 different plates. I don't think I'll be back

Firecracker Wings ***Must Try***

I love supporting local restaurants, I had gotten back into town didn't want to cook. I ordered a pizza from #thunderbolt, as I was leaving I noticed the sign for fire pepper wings. I love wings so I ordered wings 10 minutes was my wait time . It's a cute restaurant you may dine inside or out which I love the option. The wings were yummy will definitely order again. When we arrived home my daughter realized she didn't have her purse called the restaurant it was left hanging on a chair , glad I only live 10 minutes away...

Thai Fried Rice

This restaurant is a bit of a hole in the wall Thai place in Long Beach. Came on a Thursday night and dined in with no wait. The food overall was just ok compared to the many other options for Thai in Long Beach. I ordered the Thai Basil fried rice and it just tasted like regular fried rice, no Thai basil flavor at all like I'm used to with this dish. I tasted the Tom Kha soup and it was actually really good and full of flavor. The firecracker wings had great flavor and crunch, only downfall is that the wings had a lot of fat on them. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back but the food was ok!

The ordering process was easy, everyone was friendly when I picked up my order, and the Pad Thai and yellow curry were both delicious.

Upon arriving, we were greeted and asked to sit to wait for a table. It was busy but not crowded. The waitress handed us menus to look at while we waited for a table which was a nice gesture and allowed us to be ready when seated. It took less than 10 min to get seated. Once seated, they were fairly quick to come and take our order. We ordered: 1. Satay chicken 2. Yellow Curry with Chicken 3. Beef Pad See Ew and 4. Shrimp Pad Thai Everything was absolutely amazing! I could eat yellow curry for the rest of my life and this was one of the best ones I've had. We did get a red Eden cocktail and a beer. The cocktail was good! Not too sweet or strong. Service was great, too! Friendly and very attentive. The restaurant itself is very clean and the decor is very demure haha it's cute and spacious. Very welcoming! This is such a hidden gem! We went to Chiang Rai on Easter Sunday with a group of six and made reservations a few days ahead,…read morewhich I'd definitely recommend because the place was packed by the time we arrived. I think we were one of the earlier seatings around 5pm, and the restaurant already had a lively, festive energy right out of the gate. The atmosphere here is part of what makes it so memorable. It feels modern and energetic without losing warmth. There's something about the space and the service style that reminded me a little of an old-school Asian coffee house in the best way. Busy, cheerful, comfortable, and full of personality. We ordered family style and honestly everything was excellent. The roti with curry sauce disappeared immediately, and the fried chicken wings with roti and curry sauce were probably one of the biggest hits at the table. We also ordered the beef khao soi, which surprised me in the best way because the beef was served more like rare pho-style beef rather than the usual preparation I'm used to seeing in khao soi. The tom kha was another standout. Light, creamy, full of vegetables and mushrooms, with that perfect balance of coconut richness and chili floating through the broth. We also had crab fried rice that everyone kept going back for. The running theme of the night was everybody trying to politely avoid taking the last bite while secretly wanting the last bite. That usually tells you everything you need to know. Service was excellent throughout the night and everything flowed smoothly despite how busy and tightly packed the restaurant was. Parking can take a little patience since it's tucked into a residential neighborhood, but honestly that's part of the charm. If you have to park a little farther away, the walk through the neighborhood is actually really pretty with flowers, older homes, and a relaxed feel. Just be respectful of the neighbors and don't block driveways. For me, this is the best Thai restaurant in Long Beach.

Chiang Rai absolutely is worth it and all the hype around it. The restaurant is colorful and service is attentive and wonderful. They had quite a lot of options on their lunch specials which was nice I got the spicy wings with fried veggie dumplings. The wings were freshly fried with a thin batter that stayed crispy even with the generous amount of sauce. The sauce was sweet, savory, and tangy - very tasty. My partner liked his tofu yellow curry with fried tofu appetizer as well. We got the lychee iced tea and Thai tea for our drinks - both were excellent! Good value for what you get! The service from the main owner/manager (female) was by far the rudest I've experienced at this restaurant. When ordering, we were simply trying to explain how we wanted our dish prepared. For certain Thai dishes, there's a big difference between something being fried versus crispy, and we were trying to make sure it was prepared the same way we had ordered in the past. While we were speaking with another server to clarify the order, the manager stepped in, took over the conversation, and rushed the order through right after she clocked in. It felt very dismissive and like we weren't being listened to at all. When the dish came out, it wasn't what we had asked for. When we politely asked how we should properly word the order so it could be made correctly, she became visibly upset instead of simply explaining it. She then took the dish away, and no replacement was offered--nor was there any apology for the misunderstanding. I completely understand that restaurants have many customers to attend to, but we are paying customers as well. After years of making the drive here for a good meal, this experience was extremely disappointing. Sadly, this interaction cost you a loyal customer, and I will not be recommending this location anymore. As far as the ambience, they have no TVs that works, no music playing during dinner, and top it off- There's a huge leak over the bar area coming from the ceiling.

A classic Long Beach spot!…read more I've been going here with my family for many years growing up and their food has always been good. They have a good selection of options so there's likely going to be something for everyone. Highly recommend the Thai boat noodles - the broth is very rich and flavorful, definitely in my top 5. I will say that service can be very inconsistent. From my more recent experiences (multiple visits across the last year or two), I noticed a pattern where the servers are quick to seat you and take your order, but then you don't hear from them again until you flag them down (if you need anything or want to get the check, for example). I'm not saying that check-ins throughout the meal are required, but they would be nice gestures. Also having to wait around to contact a server just to pay can be a bit inconvenient... The ambiance is nice, it has modern decorations and there's a good amount of interior seating. I will add that it's mostly street parking in the front but they have a small parking lot in the back, including a rear entrance. Overall, good food, 50/50 service, still would come back.

Now I know why they put it in a plastic bag when delivered. The sauce spilled in the bag. I had to pour it back in the container when opened. I don't think that's very sanitary or even proper way for the sauce to be put in the papaya salad. They could have at least put the sauce in a separate container for me to add. Food: -Green papaya salad (som tom): Like I said the sauce spilled all in the bag (see pic). Other than that, it was really good. It has a little kick to it. But I feel like the sauce could have been served on the side. -House special crispy pork belly: It was really delicious. It has good flavor. The breading on the pork gives it a nice crunch and pairs well with the sauces provided. -Roti with peanut dipping sauce: The texture of the roti was really soft with an easy bite. And it pair well with the peanut sauce we got. The peanut sauce was a little bit liquidy for my liking, but overall it had a good taste. Rey peanut forward. -Pad Thai with shrimp: The noodles were cooked perfect. The noodles on the bottom however did stick together (after it sits there for a while). But once you mix everything, you get a good bite - the noodles, bits of egg, bean sprouts. I do wish there was an option to request more lemon/lime. I like to add a lot on mine. I definitely recommend this place. Their menu also had a lot of other yummy food options to choose from.
