There's a a lot of Thai restaurants in Long Beach but this one is a staples and popular amongst the locals. I've been a few times here's and there and it's alway been decent. I love me some Thai food so if there's a place that's worth it, it's a keeper. The last visit I was here it was ok. Good but nothing major that was a rave factor. This visit, it was actually better than the other few times. Saturday evening and it was packed. Pretty much all the tables were utilized but a few open spot along the communal tables. There was a sign in sheet right when you walked in. Give or take a 10 min wait for us with two groups ahead. We actually got lucky and were given one of the booth along the wall versus sharing a seat at the communal table. Menus and water were brought out right away but it did take a good while to order. Almost had to flag some down so we could order. They have the noodle menu with their classic noodle soup. And the regular menu with pretty much everything. Also a lot of the dishes had pictures if you don't know what they were. The wait staff were very nice and sweet. Once the order was taken, they were pretty attentive with everything. We started off with the papaya salad with salted shrimp and peanuts. Chicken panang and the large bowl of boat noodle with beef ball and beef. You would think that the papaya salad would have came out first but the panang did. A couple minutes later the salad came out. It was tasty with medium spice level. The seasoning and flavors were quite nice. It did have a sweetness to it and adorned with cabbage slices. The panang was tasty I must say. Coconut broth was tasty and a nice thickness to it. Not overly watery but just the right consistency. Also the large pot of rice was perfect for the curry and the papaya salad. Lastly, the boat noodle with beef ball and beef slices large size with medium spice level. I like to add my own spices to it so starting with medium and then the finishing touches was great. You have options on noodles to add which I stuck to the classic thin noodle. The large size seemed average so I can only imagine what the smaller size was like. Broth was great. The last place I had boat noddle, broth was pretty watery and bland. This was quite tasty and with the beef ball and slices of beef were great. So far this visit was quite nice. The food was great and tasty. Service was a little slow at the beginning but after ordering it was great. Our drink was constantly filled up when they've seen it low. The staff were all friendly and sweet. Also, they still don't serve alcohol. There's street parking along the front but I'm not sure if there's parking in the back. I did notice people and uber eats coming in from that way so they hast have some parking there. It's a staples in Long Beach and seemed to alway be busy so you know it must be good. Plus, loads of Asians which is always sigh of a good Asian restaurant.

roasted duck noodles = $17.95 for a large

3.5 stars I think our mistake was ordering with our hearts and not what was recommended. I ordered the khao soi with chicken ($16.95). While I loved the texture of the noodles - perfectly al dente with just the right of bounce - the broth didn't quite do it for me. It lacked body, rendering it to be more watery. I also felt like the broth tasted a lot sweeter than what I prefer. Adding the pickled cabbage, cilantro, lime, and chili did however help offset the sweetness. The roasted duck noodle ($17.95 for a large) broth tasted fantastic. It was light with plenty of flavor. It was good, though I don't think I'd make my way to this part of town for this version. Long Beach Thai is certainly worth a try.

My friend took us this place and told us "you have to come here and get this- Thai boat noodle". Honestly at first because of the restaraunt name we thought the name was Thai boat noodle and then realized it was a dish we never heard of. I imagined it to be some sort of metal hotpot, but its actually similar to pho but richer/more umami beefy flavor and less fresh herbs. Its like what a complete meal after a night out would taste like. Now in her I trust and bow down to her elite taste buds and sense of foraging the terrain for quality food spots. Place really is hole in the wall from outside. Street parking along main street. You will mostly likely whizz past vy the restaraunt. Inside incredibly spacious with unique offerings, courteous and fast staff. Food, incredibly.fast and seems popular on weekends with families so you know its authentic. They take card, the fortune cookies are mid (not too vanilla, lighter foamy than crisp/crunchy) LOOL Thai boat noodle- can choose mild (no spice/spicy), med/large, diff kind of noodles. The broth rich and umami, more pho like not creamy, has a variety of toppings. Okay the toppings are very high quality without the fancy verbiage of wagyu- meat not too fatty, the braised beef/pork bits had a character unique sweetness, meatballs with actual flavor, but most appreciative was the tripe which was specially thinly sliced. Intestines could be cleaned a bit more but you can choose non combo options. They have all the toppings u would want including the Thai chili classics, housemade sauce, and hoisin+ sriracha. The wide noodles are super wide almost like the chinese pulled ones (not as thick). But id recommend typical rice noodles (medium thin, just the original for best soakage of broth. All herbs come included/cooked in broth including cilantron vs added on top. Also, the green Thai tea. Amazing so good. So surprised by the floral fragrance of it and its not too sweet perfect balance. Wish parking was a bit easier for the scared and afraid but good spot :D. Also have unique desserts I haven't seen elsewhere like a custard pumpkin.

I am so sad to admit that mild is spicy for me. But, you can order thai tea to help you cool down. I consumed thai boat noodle beef with wide rice noodles. The beef cuts were tender. It was a good break from enjoying the spicy broth and noodles. I think it was perfectly seasoned, I did not add additional lime. My boyfriend got the roasted duck noodles and it's so good, but even better with the duck sauce. I would definitely come back to dine here.

No frills Thai spot with plenty of tables, my teammates and I came after our practice. Their menu is extensive from noodle soups to rice plates to fried rice or noodles. Got the roasted duck over rice which came with morning glory and rice. Wish they put more duck on, meat was a little skimping. However, the waiter served our larger group decently quick which was a plus

This place has a quiet and pleasant ambiance. Service is attentive and quick. Food portions are just right. Captured the authentic taste of Thailand. I highly recommend if you're looking for authentic and delicious thai dishes.

Yesterday's dinner did not disappoint! The servers are very friendly and kind, the menus are clean and so were the tables. The bathroom was clean which is a big plus. Good food and solid flavors. Would highly recommend for anyone in the area who want good Thai food.

Got the thai boat noodle and the crabmeat/shrimp egg rolls. The thai boat was a little too salty for my liking but adding lime helped a lot. I also have never been a big fan of thai boat because of its heaviness compared Cambodian or Vietnamese rice noodle soups, so take my review with a grain of salt. My cousins love the thai boat here though so try it out. The egg rolls were very good though, wish it had some veggies in it but it's fine the way it is too.

Duck Thai Curry Noodle with Roasted Duck (So creamy and yummy with the wonton chips and tofu)

My foodie friend, Kelly, brought me here a couple years ago. We've always had great experiences. To-go and dine-in. Interesting to see the special goodies in the front. Who can pass up mango sticky rice? This week, I stopped by my friend's to check on her since she was having girl problems and tends to not eat. So I picked her up and we decided to come here a few days ago with my son. The Thai tea is great here. My friend likes the Thai boat noodle with the flat noodles. I've tried a few things here but I love that they have duck curry! It was so yummy, I almost drank the whole curry bowl. Might be better with rice. I've always had curry with rice but it wasn't bad with the noodles. The crab n cream cheese wontons were yummy though! We'll always come back! We find parking on the street after the lunch rush hour. Thanks guys!

BEST THAI BOAT NOODLE EVER! My standards have been raised from this place. There was so much depth in the soup. I order a spicy medium combo, it comes with small intestines which is my favorite! The calamari had the most perfect crunch to it and paired with the sweet and sour sauce was perfect. The fried spring rolls were also really good, mostly mung bean thread noodle and wood ear mushroom, lots of texture in the bite. Service was timely and quick.

My family and I have been coming to the restaurant for years! This is our favorite place to go specifically for their Thai boat noodles. My grandma loves coming here because it reminds her of her childhood and she always tries new dishes off the menu. We haven't had something we didn't like. This time around for our main dishes we ordered pineapple fried rice and you get your choice of protein and we got chicken, pad see eww and Thai boat noodles. For appetizers we ordered the fried egg rolls which were super hot and crispy. The service is fast and quick, especially when you're starving . The restaurant is clean and has a lot of seating. A great sit down restaurant for the family.

No they are out for couple weeks, they gave notice before

Why don't they answer their phone? Is this the right number?

That's the right number but they get slammed and ignore if you're calling at dinner time.

    3109 E. Anaheim Street

Are they open for dine in?

They have plenty of vegetarian options- you can add tofu instead of meat. But if you want vegan- safest to ask what products they use in the particular dishes.

Every dish we've tried has been full of flavor and genuinely worth ordering. Surprisingly, compared to other Thai spots, it's usually not overly packed and honestly I'm almost scared to say that because I don't want it to change. The service has always been great, the food comes out quickly, and the portions/prices feel reasonable. So far, our favorites have been the pad see ew, tom yum soup (medium spice), egg fried rice, fried calamari and the beef BBQ which was so good we immediately ordered a second plate. The mango sticky rice is also really good, but the portion is on the smaller side, so we ended up getting two orders since one plate is hard to share with more than 2-3 people. Parking has been easy for us so far since there's both a parking lot and nearby street parking. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants that's officially in our regular rotation.

The restaurant itself is nice and clean, including the restrooms, which I always appreciate. The staff was very customer service oriented and did a great job making suggestions and giving tips about the menu and spice levels, which was super helpful. I started with the Money Bags, which are basically fried dumplings. Mine were a little overcooked, almost close to burnt. They still had decent flavor, but I'd personally rate them about a 2.9 out of 5. I also had the green papaya salad with mild spice, and the spice level was perfect, especially for people who are sensitive to heat. I usually stick around medium spice at Thai restaurants, but even the mild here still gives you a nice kick. For my drink, I got the Thai tea, which came topped with a Thai tea popsicle that slowly melted into the drink. Such a cute touch, creative, and tasty. For my entrée, I had the basil garlic sauce with sliced steak and a side of rice, which I really enjoyed. For dessert, we shared the mango sticky rice. It was good, but I do feel like it was a little overpriced for the portion size. Maybe part of that is because of the specialty rice they use that has the purple hue. I know a few places in Long Beach where you can get more for the same price. That said, the presentation was really cute with the flower garnish and everything looked beautiful. The atmosphere was nice. It has an open kitchen concept, so you can actually see the cooking happening, which adds to the experience. Seating is somewhat limited and the tables are fairly close together in certain sections, especially where the divider walls are, so you can definitely hear nearby conversations depending on where you sit. Great food, clean restaurant, and strong customer service. I'd definitely come back. Flavor Profile (for reference): Umami-forward (savory, salty depth) Acidic or bright (tangy + sour) Pungent and intense (spicy and bitter notes) Drink Preference (for reference): Bitter-forward cocktails Balanced acidity Light sweetness only, not overly sugary

The service from the main owner/manager (female) was by far the rudest I've experienced at this restaurant. When ordering, we were simply trying to explain how we wanted our dish prepared. For certain Thai dishes, there's a big difference between something being fried versus crispy, and we were trying to make sure it was prepared the same way we had ordered in the past. While we were speaking with another server to clarify the order, the manager stepped in, took over the conversation, and rushed the order through right after she clocked in. It felt very dismissive and like we weren't being listened to at all. When the dish came out, it wasn't what we had asked for. When we politely asked how we should properly word the order so it could be made correctly, she became visibly upset instead of simply explaining it. She then took the dish away, and no replacement was offered--nor was there any apology for the misunderstanding. I completely understand that restaurants have many customers to attend to, but we are paying customers as well. After years of making the drive here for a good meal, this experience was extremely disappointing. Sadly, this interaction cost you a loyal customer, and I will not be recommending this location anymore. As far as the ambience, they have no TVs that works, no music playing during dinner, and top it off- There's a huge leak over the bar area coming from the ceiling.

Plus a side of steam rice to go with it. Entrees, your classic chicken panang and the boat noodles. I must say that this place does make a very good version of the boat noodles. Broth is quite thick and very flavorful. Of course with all the different meats tossed in. It's one of the better places I've had boat noodles and highly recommend. Also the panang, another tasty and flavorful curry. Your classic Thai dishes which were tasty and also delicious. The food and service were great. Everyone was a doll and made us feel welcomed. Checked out S T Noodle Bar today and had a good experience!…read more We were eating with an infant so high chair friendly was a must. We were greeted and helped right away and got a place in the restaurant that fit us well. We ordered the veggie spring roll, tofu soup, beef pad thai and tom yum. The veggie spring roll tasted fresh and the sauce added a nice layer of flavor. Off the bat, the portion sizes for the tom yum and pad thai were VERY generous (from my experiences with Thai restaurants). The pad thai stood out and was absolutely delicious! The service did great with helping us out and attending to our requests. The ambiance was relaxed, and where we sat in the back was cool because there was upbeat music playing loud enough to muffle the surrounding sounds but still soft enough to have conversation at our table without needing to raise our voice. Overall, I'm glad I gave S T Noodle Bar a try! I'd recommend it!
