Haven't been here in a long time but it's always good and this time it was very good as well. The fried rice with chicken was good, the tom kha was perfect, and the pad see ewww with beef was also very delicious. I love this place because I use to go with my big brother, David, and he has pasted but coming here brings back fond memories. Also, the server was very good it wasn't too busy as well!

A classic Long Beach spot! I've been going here with my family for many years growing up and their food has always been good. They have a good selection of options so there's likely going to be something for everyone. Highly recommend the Thai boat noodles - the broth is very rich and flavorful, definitely in my top 5. I will say that service can be very inconsistent. From my more recent experiences (multiple visits across the last year or two), I noticed a pattern where the servers are quick to seat you and take your order, but then you don't hear from them again until you flag them down (if you need anything or want to get the check, for example). I'm not saying that check-ins throughout the meal are required, but they would be nice gestures. Also having to wait around to contact a server just to pay can be a bit inconvenient... The ambiance is nice, it has modern decorations and there's a good amount of interior seating. I will add that it's mostly street parking in the front but they have a small parking lot in the back, including a rear entrance. Overall, good food, 50/50 service, still would come back.

My boyfriend and I ordered via third party app cos they had a lot of good reviews. When we received the food, everything was well packaged... except the papaya salad. Now I know why they put it in a plastic bag when delivered. The sauce spilled in the bag. I had to pour it back in the container when opened. I don't think that's very sanitary or even proper way for the sauce to be put in the papaya salad. They could have at least put the sauce in a separate container for me to add. Food: -Green papaya salad (som tom): Like I said the sauce spilled all in the bag (see pic). Other than that, it was really good. It has a little kick to it. But I feel like the sauce could have been served on the side. -House special crispy pork belly: It was really delicious. It has good flavor. The breading on the pork gives it a nice crunch and pairs well with the sauces provided. -Roti with peanut dipping sauce: The texture of the roti was really soft with an easy bite. And it pair well with the peanut sauce we got. The peanut sauce was a little bit liquidy for my liking, but overall it had a good taste. Rey peanut forward. -Pad Thai with shrimp: The noodles were cooked perfect. The noodles on the bottom however did stick together (after it sits there for a while). But once you mix everything, you get a good bite - the noodles, bits of egg, bean sprouts. I do wish there was an option to request more lemon/lime. I like to add a lot on mine. I definitely recommend this place. Their menu also had a lot of other yummy food options to choose from.

Got this for take out and it was a great meal! The crispy pork was my favorite dish and paired well with the fried rice. The pad thai was okay too.

There's a a lot of Thai restaurants in Long Beach but this one is a staples and popular amongst the locals. I've been a few times here's and there and it's alway been decent. I love me some Thai food so if there's a place that's worth it, it's a keeper. The last visit I was here it was ok. Good but nothing major that was a rave factor. This visit, it was actually better than the other few times. Saturday evening and it was packed. Pretty much all the tables were utilized but a few open spot along the communal tables. There was a sign in sheet right when you walked in. Give or take a 10 min wait for us with two groups ahead. We actually got lucky and were given one of the booth along the wall versus sharing a seat at the communal table. Menus and water were brought out right away but it did take a good while to order. Almost had to flag some down so we could order. They have the noodle menu with their classic noodle soup. And the regular menu with pretty much everything. Also a lot of the dishes had pictures if you don't know what they were. The wait staff were very nice and sweet. Once the order was taken, they were pretty attentive with everything. We started off with the papaya salad with salted shrimp and peanuts. Chicken panang and the large bowl of boat noodle with beef ball and beef. You would think that the papaya salad would have came out first but the panang did. A couple minutes later the salad came out. It was tasty with medium spice level. The seasoning and flavors were quite nice. It did have a sweetness to it and adorned with cabbage slices. The panang was tasty I must say. Coconut broth was tasty and a nice thickness to it. Not overly watery but just the right consistency. Also the large pot of rice was perfect for the curry and the papaya salad. Lastly, the boat noodle with beef ball and beef slices large size with medium spice level. I like to add my own spices to it so starting with medium and then the finishing touches was great. You have options on noodles to add which I stuck to the classic thin noodle. The large size seemed average so I can only imagine what the smaller size was like. Broth was great. The last place I had boat noddle, broth was pretty watery and bland. This was quite tasty and with the beef ball and slices of beef were great. So far this visit was quite nice. The food was great and tasty. Service was a little slow at the beginning but after ordering it was great. Our drink was constantly filled up when they've seen it low. The staff were all friendly and sweet. Also, they still don't serve alcohol. There's street parking along the front but I'm not sure if there's parking in the back. I did notice people and uber eats coming in from that way so they hast have some parking there. It's a staples in Long Beach and seemed to alway be busy so you know it must be good. Plus, loads of Asians which is always sigh of a good Asian restaurant.

roasted duck noodles = $17.95 for a large
    Trung N.

3.5 stars I think our mistake was ordering with our hearts and not what was recommended. I ordered the khao soi with chicken ($16.95). While I loved the texture of the noodles - perfectly al dente with just the right of bounce - the broth didn't quite do it for me. It lacked body, rendering it to be more watery. I also felt like the broth tasted a lot sweeter than what I prefer. Adding the pickled cabbage, cilantro, lime, and chili did however help offset the sweetness. The roasted duck noodle ($17.95 for a large) broth tasted fantastic. It was light with plenty of flavor. It was good, though I don't think I'd make my way to this part of town for this version. Long Beach Thai is certainly worth a try.

My friend took us this place and told us "you have to come here and get this- Thai boat noodle". Honestly at first because of the restaraunt name we thought the name was Thai boat noodle and then realized it was a dish we never heard of. I imagined it to be some sort of metal hotpot, but its actually similar to pho but richer/more umami beefy flavor and less fresh herbs. Its like what a complete meal after a night out would taste like. Now in her I trust and bow down to her elite taste buds and sense of foraging the terrain for quality food spots. Place really is hole in the wall from outside. Street parking along main street. You will mostly likely whizz past vy the restaraunt. Inside incredibly spacious with unique offerings, courteous and fast staff. Food, incredibly.fast and seems popular on weekends with families so you know its authentic. They take card, the fortune cookies are mid (not too vanilla, lighter foamy than crisp/crunchy) LOOL Thai boat noodle- can choose mild (no spice/spicy), med/large, diff kind of noodles. The broth rich and umami, more pho like not creamy, has a variety of toppings. Okay the toppings are very high quality without the fancy verbiage of wagyu- meat not too fatty, the braised beef/pork bits had a character unique sweetness, meatballs with actual flavor, but most appreciative was the tripe which was specially thinly sliced. Intestines could be cleaned a bit more but you can choose non combo options. They have all the toppings u would want including the Thai chili classics, housemade sauce, and hoisin+ sriracha. The wide noodles are super wide almost like the chinese pulled ones (not as thick). But id recommend typical rice noodles (medium thin, just the original for best soakage of broth. All herbs come included/cooked in broth including cilantron vs added on top. Also, the green Thai tea. Amazing so good. So surprised by the floral fragrance of it and its not too sweet perfect balance. Wish parking was a bit easier for the scared and afraid but good spot :D. Also have unique desserts I haven't seen elsewhere like a custard pumpkin.

Such a nice hidden spot. I'm always here when it's completely dead which I love. The service is very attentive and the food is very tasty.

This place is around the corner from a good friend of mine, and I been wanting to finally try it It happens I end up there on a Sunday, food was great I ordered a good spread of their menu and everything is on point, service was great and the ambiance it's perfect to take the whole family

I am so sad to admit that mild is spicy for me. But, you can order thai tea to help you cool down. I consumed thai boat noodle beef with wide rice noodles. The beef cuts were tender. It was a good break from enjoying the spicy broth and noodles. I think it was perfectly seasoned, I did not add additional lime. My boyfriend got the roasted duck noodles and it's so good, but even better with the duck sauce. I would definitely come back to dine here.

    Roasted Duck Over Rice
    Tiffany C.

No frills Thai spot with plenty of tables, my teammates and I came after our practice. Their menu is extensive from noodle soups to rice plates to fried rice or noodles. Got the roasted duck over rice which came with morning glory and rice. Wish they put more duck on, meat was a little skimping. However, the waiter served our larger group decently quick which was a plus

    Did they close down?

No they are out for couple weeks, they gave notice before

Why don't they answer their phone? Is this the right number?

That's the right number but they get slammed and ignore if you're calling at dinner time.

    What is the address?

    3109 E. Anaheim Street

Are they open for dine in?

As of today, (meaning based on the past 365 days, we don't know what will change tomorrow) they are open for dine in. You can find them on www.longbeachthai.com.

    Will they offer outside dining?

Right now it's take out only.

Is this place open or close?

    It is open

Is it good for vegetarian food?

They have plenty of vegetarian options- you can add tofu instead of meat. But if you want vegan- safest to ask what products they use in the particular dishes.

Does anyone know if they are back from vacation?

I just went there on Saturday and they were open, so I believe so!

Are the usually closed Saturdays? Wanted to go today and sign said closed and there was no one inside?…

The sign does say they're observing a holiday. They should be open again soon.

    Do they serve beer?

I normal go at lunch, so I never asked. But you believe I saw some beer bottles displayed…

Salmon Larb was perfectly cooked with fried cubes of juicy flavorful salmon. Tossed in fresh mint, cilantro, scallions, a ton of fresh lime juice, chili flakes, red onions and lettuce. The toasted rice powder was definitely apparent as every Larb dish should have. Slightly different take of Larb, bit more modernized and tweaked cause definitely a salad with the lettuce versus served with the cabbage and cucumber on the side. I don't think you can go wrong with what you order. Definitely fusion of authentic with a modernized American feel. I've been to a few and they don't offer it while some places, it's not that good. Here, it's alway consistent and very flavorful. That a must for me and alway ordered. We also love the papaya salad which you can have Thai style or Laos style. Depending on what your preference is. Their larb is great as well. Very flavorful and tasty. Of course our main items we tend to get here, the boat noodles which I love as it's flavorful, broth is perfect and all the extras added. Also all their curries are excellent. Lately we've been getting their massaman curries which the flavors is really nice. Whatever protein you like. The curries do come with a side of rice but an extra order is alway needed. Love it to have with the papaya salad and larb. All their dishes are great and very flavorful. Spice level varies on what you like but I tend to go with medium and add all the extra spices for myself with their sauce selection. There's two restaurants that's a door apart and both are great but this one takes the cake for me. It's always a must when I'm in town as I know the food will alway be delicious. Highly recommended. Heads up, parking in the area is a bitch. It's all residential so people tend to stay in or else they're going to lose their spots. Just a heads up.

One more noodles dish was the Drunken Noodles, it's kinda like Chinese Chow Fun, but has a more spicy flavor and basil in it. The food was all pack and bagged for me to take back to the hotel. We used my room since I have a bigger room. We had plates and set ups for all five of us and we re-plated the food on the serving plates that came with the room. All the food was really tasty and everybody was happy not to have to leave the hotel. I heard compliments on the Pad Thai and the Coconut soup. It was a good idea just to do take out and eat at the hotel here.
