I randomly came across this Thai restaurant while visiting Long Beach. I ordered fried chicken wings, shrimp fried rice, and baked mussels with cheese everything was delicious. The wings were perfectly crispy and paired so well with the sauce. The shrimp fried rice tasted authentically Thai -- no need to add any extra seasoning at all. I ordered chicken spring rolls and pork pad thai for delivery. It took about two hours to get delivered. The spring rolls were meh, just ok. The Pad Thai was bad. Just a container full of overcooked noodles, four small pieces of pork, some green onion, and a very small amount of some really strange sauce that had no peanut taste to it at all... not to mention no real additional peanut pieces or garnish. A great flavor on the Tom Yum soup. Citrus-y, umami, fresh mushrooms, and shrimp. Some of the best Pad Thai I have tasted and the beef and noodles in the Pad Kee Mao were cooked to perfection. I would say, some of the best Thai food available in Long Beach. The dining room is spacious and clean. There is a private lot with plenty of parking in the D&D Discount Store lot. They served my wife's soup way before our entrees so we couldn't eat together, so that sucked. But everything else was good. Came here on Fathers Day and had the absolute best experience possible! The waitress was so sweet and helped us decide what we wanted, and the food was AMAZING! So, the wife and I were hungry after a real estate venture in Long Beach, and we found this little place on 7th. Pulling in to the parking lot, we felt a little unsure, since there were "questionable" people lurking around. After venturing out, we entered the establishment and found the layout quite nice. We sat down and ordered our regular item pad see ew (only one dish since we are "testing" out the restaurant). The flavor was spot on, maybe a little sweeter than normal, but very good. The portion was smaller than most Thai places we have been to, but the taste made up for it. Service was normal, with one person working the hosting, seating, ordering and serving. Drove by this place for ages without realizing that it would be a great Thai bbq place. Easy and plenty of parking spaces. The place doesn't look like Thai restaurant, it's more of wooden oldies western style. Went here for dinner and got table right away. There was only one person working the whole place (front of the house that is). She was wonderful, friendly and nice person. She's fast too for 6 tables. She took the orders without writing it down (for us at least) and within 10-15mins, the foods start coming out. Big portion for the prices, great taste and great quality of the meats. Perfect seasoning since my kid literally ate them all and he's a picky eater. The place is clean, airy, funky but settle decoration (still got holiday decor up). This place was pretty good. We were seeing a show at Cal State Long Beach nearby and needed a place for a quick dinner before the show. We were craving Thai food and there were a few options in the area and we finally decided to try this place out. It's in a plaza with other businesses and seems like a family-run business. We were warmly greeted and spent some time looking over the menu. Our server was very nice and was handling all of the front-of-the-house duties. Food arrived and was tasty. Came here based on the 4.5-star rating, but I should've read the reviews more carefully. Service was friendly and the food came out quickly, but that's where the positives end. The shrimp tempura was average. The strawberry lemonade was overly sweet and tasted artificial. The food quality was very disappointing. The crab fried rice was made with imitation crab, even though we were told it was fresh snow crab. All the fried rice dishes were overloaded with chunks of egg. The chicken pad Thai was not good at all--the chicken was tough, large, and clearly not fresh. We took a few bites of everything and couldn't continue eating. When I told the server we were unhappy, we were still charged the full $72 with no attempt to make it right! Would not return. read more

I tried this place yesterday and it was amazing it was freshly cooked I ordered the seafood fried rice and it was delicious I contained lightly battered fish, shrimp, mussels, and I believe squid but don't quote me on it onion and tomato the sea food was cooked to perfection and didn't have a fishy smell , my partner ordered crab fired rice and the same with that the rice was cooked perfectly and the crab was found to be cooked to highly delicious standards as well we also ordered fried chicken egg rolls and those where to die for it was crispy without being soggy fully packed the staff was very polite as they stayed open even though they were about to close I didn't feel any anger or awkwardness as the guy offered to give suggestions on what to order as we had never been there before it's very peaceful and small so there's no over crowding during the day it gives a very welcoming vibe read more

We visited this place on a Friday night, and the only reason we chose it was because of the reviews. What a disappointment. We arrived around 7:30-8:00 PM, and there was literally no one there--on a Friday night. That should have been our first red flag. There were eight of us, and we ordered a variety of dishes. I sampled a bit of everything, and every single dish was terrible. I personally ordered the Tom Kha soup, and to put it lightly, it was awful. It was nothing more than broth with raw mushrooms and a few fried, completely flavorless pieces of tofu. Not a single person in our group had anything positive to say about their meal. To make matters worse, the food was overpriced for such poor quality. This experience taught me that high Yelp ratings aren't always trustworthy. I will never visit this place again. Date night became available and after a rainy day I quickly looked for a good Soup spot, found this place and looked good not to far from the beach. So this place was perfect. Wow, honestly the worst Thai food I've ever had. The tom yum was inedible. My partner and I ate a few spoonfuls and then just put it down. Tom yum is sour, yes, but there are supposed to be other flavor notes as well. Nope. Not in this one. At that point we still had the pad see ew coming, so we were hopeful, given all the great reviews. But when the pad see ew came, it was also nearly inedible. The noodles were gummy and the dish was super salty. There were also hardly any ingredients besides the terrible noodles. I was shocked how bad the meal was. We realized at that point that the great reviews were because the restaurant offers a deal when you can get a free appetizer if you post 5 stars on Yelp. Pretty smart marketing move but I can't imagine they have any repeat customers. It was quite literally the absolute worst Thai food I've ever had. Long Beach is full of terrific Thai places, and Thai in the US overall is pretty good, so I can't see how this place stays in business. The one bright note was the service. There was one gent working the front of the house the evening we were there, and he was cheery and friendly and efficient. While he was great, there's nothing that can make up for the poorly executed food. What a shame. This one was tough bc the food was above average but the restaurants cheapskate ways made the overall experience not good. The pad Thai, the fried shrimp, bbq pork, and wings were good. But the fact they gave us only 2 soy sauces and 2 sriracha packets, packets while dining there which he made sure it was only 2, was a huge turn off along with 1 napkin each‍. Delicious, filling and wholesome... I stumbled into this little Thai eatery, located in a nondescript strip mall on 7th Street in Long Beach. I really loved my lunch! The Siam noodle dish with thin rice noodle really hit the spot. I got the combination of shrimp, pork, chicken and beef, which was a few dollars extra but I absolutely savored every bite. The service was fine, and the young man who waited on me was very kind and personable. There was a little mixup in the kitchen which they fixed quickly and my lunch order was perfect. They also have a delicious unsweetened iced tea. On the flatscreen TV they were playing a YouTube video of Mark Wiens, a Thai aficionado, enjoying Bangkok street food, which added to the feeling of being far away... it was a thoroughly enjoyable lunch-- Recommended... I will be back! UPDATE I couldn't stop thinking about the great Thai lunch that I had here so... I came back the next day! Next on the menu -- the classic pad Thai which I had with shrimp. Definitely one of the best I've had in the USA, and a nice touch was the egg omelette on top instead of chopped up into the dish, which gives you a chance to make each fork full your way!
