Honestly want to gatekeep this spot so bad but I wanted to support by leaving an amazing review. Stumbled across Pho 881 while wanting to try a new spot in Long Beach. I still haven't been able to try an good spot in Long Beach in 2025 but this spot was so authentic and a definition of a hole in a wall. I would definitely return back. Upon arriving, we got there a little close near closing but thankfully they were able to sit us. Looking at the prices, it's such a good deal at $12 for a regular and $14 for a large bowl. With prices of food now, this isn't bad at all. I got the large #2 Pho Tai, Rare steak. It was a big portion and the broth was perfect. Parking here is very tough, it's in a small lot but you can find parking in the residential area.

Super good even on a hot day! Service was fast and so kind. Not busy at all which was also a plus. Pho was amazing, maybe just needed a little more salt? Other than that it was perfect. Would definitely come back

Ordered brisket pho and 30 seconds later it arrived at my table! Broth is good aromatic and has flavor not too sweet nice hot broth just what i needed i wasnt feeling good so it did the job. This was the large size they have 2 choices small ($12) or large ($14) not bad They were not stingy with the noodles too which was great since a lot of places skimp you out. Decent amount of brisket and decent quality too. And of course it came with the usual suspects a plate of veg (thai basil bean sprout lime) Little spot in a plaza i recommend

The best pho I've had!! The special combo noodle soup was the perfect bowl containing all different types of delicious meats. The veggies and meats tasted fresh, the broth was silky and seasoned perfectly. Thai iced tea was very flavorful. I got the regular sized bowl for $12 which was more than enough to stay full for hours. Owner was sweet and welcoming, casual place that makes you feel like if you're eating at home. Wholesome home cooking! Parking was easy since this restaurant is in a shopping plaza.

My husband and I were in the Long Beach area for an appointment and needed a quick bite. We found Pho 881 on Yelp. It's in a strip mall with decent parking. The restaurant is rather basic and traditional looking, but seems clean and spacious. It's a mom and pop restaurant with the owner and another helper serving and the lady in the kitchen. She came out occasionally when not busy. Since we arrived a little before 11am, it was not busy yet, We ordered a two piece Egg Rolls, a large Special Combo Pho with two extra meatballs, and a regular Hainan Chicken with Fried Jasmine Rice. Portions were really generous and we took home about half the chicken and most of the Fried Rice! Egg Rolls were really delicious. The Pho broth was very tasty and didn't make me thirsty (so not much MSG). There was a good variety of meats in the bowl, I especially liked the tendon. The Fried Rice that came with the Hainan Chicken was very good. The chicken was average. The menu said that it was supposed to come with a small salad and the chicken was supposed to be dark meat. In reality the chicken was a combo white and dark meat, and we didn't get a salad. I'm sure they would have brought it if we asked, but we didn't because there was already too much food for the two of us. Overall, it was a very good and quick meal. All the food came out within ten minutes. The owner was really friendly and nice. Prices were very reasonable and portions were very generous. They do charge 2% for credit card use.

This place is a go-to if you want more affordable but still warm fully pho go here, there are different places that are better but if you are in budget this place is the perfect spot

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience here was so uncomfortable that I feel compelled to warn others. I came in alone, feeling under the weather, specifically looking for pho with oxtail. The restaurant was empty when I arrived. From the moment I walked in, I was made to feel uneasy. The owner was seated in the corner and appeared to make comments to his employees while staring and giggling, which was especially uncomfortable as I was the only woman and only guest at the time. I ordered oxtail pho and a Thai tea. When the soup arrived, there were only two very small pieces of oxtail. I politely asked if I could pay extra to add more oxtail, money was not the issue at all. Instead of answering me directly, the owner responded aggressively (even without understanding the language, the tone was very clear) and had another employee tell me that if I wanted more oxtail, I'd have to purchase an entirely separate bowl for $14. I explained that I didn't want another bowl of noodles, just additional meat, and was still willing to pay. The answer was a flat no. At that point, I already felt unwelcome. The Thai tea arrived looking extremely pale, and unfortunately tasted like plain milk. When I politely mentioned this to the server, the owner abruptly stepped in with "What's the problem?" in a very rude tone. I was visibly uncomfortable and addressed the server instead. They replaced the tea, but the interaction was tense and unpleasant. When I finally tried the oxtail, it was cold, dry, and very tough, not tender at all i'm pretty sure it was frozen like five minutes prior to them putting it in the bowl. I couldn't even finish one of the pieces. By this time a couple entered and sat in front of me. My bowl was overloaded with noodles, which may appeal to some people, but it doesn't make up for poor-quality meat. To make matters worse, I was charged $30 at the end and was not shown a receipt. I did not feel comfortable questioning it, I just wanted to leave. As someone who works in the service industry, this experience was shocking. The owner was hostile, dismissive, and created an environment that felt intimidating and inappropriate. Watching him model this behavior to younger employees was disappointing. I do not recommend this restaurant, especially for women dining alone. No guest should ever feel uncomfortable, pressured, or disrespected the way I was.

Food: broth was delicious!!! Service: friendly and attentive. Ambiance: you're in the ghetto, so it was just simple.

So I was craving some pho when I was under the weather a couple months ago and found out this place accepted EBT! As a single mom, that was amazing news! So I checked it out! (Drove by many times and never knew!) They are such nice and kind people! The food is awesome! Big portions! So come hungry or split with someone. I always get the combo pho because it has all the meats. Then I added the beef balls today. I need protein since I worked out. Definitely try the spring rolls and egg rolls! Mmmm! So yummy! Kids love it too! My son and his buddy came with me one time and they ate it all! I like ordering a side of onions and drizzling it with sriracha and the hoisin sauce! Like a Vietnamese version of kimchi, I guess! Enjoy! Thank you for being such a great spot and great service always!

There's a few nearby which fiends have referred and raved about, but this one left a lasting impression. I love me some boat noodles and they do not disappoint. The nice thick broth with loads of meats all mixed in together. Then you have the Chinese broccoli for the perfect veggie paring. Wow, it so good. Some places cannot get their broth right which does make a major difference. Sometimes it ends up being too watery and defected the purpose. Here, the broth is perfect. Also any of their curries is excellent. This time we went with the massaman curries. Nice thick broth with peanuts, potatoes, onion and carrots in a coconut sauce. Another flavorful dish. And of course we always get the papaya salad Thai style with shrimp and peanut. There also the Laos style with fermented fish sauce and salty crab. It's quite nice too but it could be too strong of a taste for some people. The food has always been excellent. Service was always excellent with friendly staff. We have full kitchens in all the rooms where we're staying along with plates and all the set ups. The rooms even have dishwashers! So, I found this S T Noodle Bar near by and decided to give it a try. I kinda know what there guys like to eat, so I just ordered a bunch of food. The only request from anybody was for Pad Thai, the most common dish at all Thai restaurants. I GPS my way over and order the food. I was Khao Soy on the menu and I don't see that at too many Thai places that I've been to, so I got an order of that with chicken. Of course, an order of Pad Thai, 2 orders since I have 5 hungry people to feed. Also, I ordered the Thai coconut soup, I think it's called Tom Kha with chicken. One more noodles dish was the Drunken Noodles, it's kinda like Chinese Chow Fun, but has a more spicy flavor and basil in it. The food was all pack and bagged for me to take back to the hotel. We used my room since I have a bigger room. We had plates and set ups for all five of us and we re-plated the food on the serving plates that came with the room. All the food was really tasty and everybody was happy not to have to leave the hotel. I heard compliments on the Pad Thai and the Coconut soup. It was a good idea just to do take out and eat at the hotel here.

We were greeted and helped right away and got a place in the restaurant that fit us well. We ordered the veggie spring roll, tofu soup, beef pad thai and tom yum. The veggie spring roll tasted fresh and the sauce added a nice layer of flavor. Off the bat, the portion sizes for the tom yum and pad thai were VERY generous (from my experiences with Thai restaurants). The pad thai stood out and was absolutely delicious! The service did great with helping us out and attending to our requests. The ambiance was relaxed, and where we sat in the back was cool because there was upbeat music playing loud enough to muffle the surrounding sounds but still soft enough to have conversation at our table without needing to raise our voice. Overall, I'm glad I gave S T Noodle Bar a try! I'd recommend it!

Portion was generous as there were a whole boiled-seasoned egg, shrimp, fish cake & tofu. I chose egg noodle among other options which are rice noodle or vermicelli. Meanwhile, my husband stayed loyal to his go-to order, Nasi Lemak, whenever we visit a Bornean or Malaysian restaurant. While he enjoyed the overall dish, he felt the fried chicken was a bit lacked of the tenderness he has experienced at other Borneo-inspired eateries. The restaurant itself is simple and straightforward. The interior features minimal décor with basic tables, chairs, and a service counter. While the clean and uncluttered setup works well, a few decorative touches could help create a warmer and more inviting atmosphere.
