Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen, well done pork.

Best spot for ramen, but they have all kinds of goodies. I recommend the Spicy Tankotsu Ramen, ask for well done pork!

Ordered spicy tonkatsu ramen, crispy rice with spicy tuna, pokemon roll, and 99 degree roll. A big fan of the crispy rice because the rice was both soft and crispy but not a big fan of the pokemon roll. The poke on top could've used a little bit more pizzazz as it tasted like it was only tossed on soy sauce. Service was slow but ok as food did take a little long to arrive. I did however like the intimate setting of being able to see into the kitchen and watch the process of food being made.

The food is definitely amazing. That's what makes you want to eat there. However, the service is horrible. Not only do they lack kind gestures. They seemingly only want to be kind to people they feel fit the demographic that are deserving of their kindness. I don't want to blatantly feel like I'm being racially profiled but it's every time that me and my partner come it feels this way. Love your food but you need to love your Mexicans .

My first time trying this local spot, got takeout and the quality was there. The spicy tonkatsu was delicious, the noodles are thin style but cooked well. Very solid bowl

I ordered the spicy tonkotsu ramen ($18) You can choose your level of spicy 1-5 5 being the spiciest i chose 4 and it wasnt bad i love spicy so i think a 5 would've done it for me. You also choose your meat i picked pork belly. My friend ordered the spicy miso ramen with a level 1 pork belly. I love how small and modern it was inside very stylish w a painting on their wall. The only con is that you have to find street parking Other than that the food was great good quality ingredients and staff was friendly and prompt i highly recommend! Obey parking laws on the street

This is a nice Thai owned Japanese restaurant with very friendly service and delicious appetizers and ramen lineup. Parking is tricky as you will have to hunt for a street parking spot hopefully nearby. I was able to snag one right across the street but nearly got mugged and got hit by a car just to get to the entrance. The shrimp appetizer was something worth revisiting just for that. It was THAT good. The ramen was also delicious. The dining space has indoor and outdoor choices. The 2-seater table we got assigned was uncomfortable to sit in. Hardly any elbow rooms and nowhere to put the bag down or even phone / sunglasses. People walks right behind you constantly making it sorta awkward to chomp down on food. What I found really off putting was the wafting of marijuana smoke the entire time we were eating. I guess the dude next to us couldn't give two shits about lighting up a bowl. I hate the stench and so did my dining companion. Appalling to me that the restaurant staff didn't say or do anything about it. Giving it a 3 out of 5 here -- it's a shame the food was otherwise delicious and the service friendly and prompt. But having to secondhand smoke someone's weed and nearly getting mugged and ran over by a car was a wee too much for me.

I visited this place back in March with some friends, attracted by a limited time discount offered to CSULB students, which we really appreciated as broke college students haha The staff was kind and attentive, and while the restaurant is a bit small, it had a nice, warm, and welcoming atmosphere, especially since it was raining outside. We ordered takoyaki (and also dumplings, that aren't shown because they were really good and ate them before I could get pics lol), a chicken bowl, a pork bowl, and tonkatsu ramen. Everything was delicious, although I found the ramen a bit too salty for my taste; that might just be a personal preference. Overall, I would definitely come back! :)

Checked out this place while out in Long Beach and it was recommended by a friend! Tiny seating area but they also have some outside so sat there to enjoy some sun! Server was really attentive and nice! Chose some appetizers first which was the Naked Shrimp and the Crispy Rice Tuna. My absolutely favorite was the shrimp had such a good sauce and was my favorite part of the meal! Melted in your mouth and was great. I chose to get their most known ramen - spicy tonkotsu ramen. It was a good ramen and the pork was soft but I felt it missed some flavor. But overall a pleasant lunch and I would come back just for the shrimp!

Tried out this spot for the first time on a Sunday for dinner and it was delicious! It was slightly busy around 5pm so my friends and I sat outside and it was the perfect weather for it. The spicy tonkotsu ramen was so flavorful and filling - worth the price! Will definitely return when my ramen craving does too!

Tsukemen ramen: 3/5 a little salty, pork belly was crispy. And they didn't serve with rice at the end like typical tsukemen

Lunch with some friends and this was their pick. It was a great one and I was very pleased with it…read more The parking was a little confusing as there was construction going on in the back area where parking and the front entrance is. It shares parking with a couple other business and the entrance is just off the alleyway off Carson. Construction in the back did halt some of the parking spaces and entrance on one side. I didn't know where the entrance was walking around the block which found out later that the entrance was where parking is. I believe you could get on the waitlist but it was still early during lunch time when we arrived that it wasn't necessary. The restaurant itself isn't that big. A good amount of Asian modern style seating. Menu is pretty limited but gets down to the punch. Ramen, a couple of rice dishes and starters. Basically it. They had some alcoholic drink options too. We started off with some beers, the crispy chicken which was really nice. Thick chunks of thighs lightly deep fried and served with a dipping sauce. Juicy and tender. Entrees, the tonkatsu which you could make into a combo that comes with a side salad, and with salmon poke bowl or spicy tuna bowl for an additional fee. The broth for the ramen was quite tasty and paired really well with everything that added to it. And very filling. Also had the pork rice bowl with pork chashu, green onions, poached egg, spinach on top of rice. That was quite tasty and filling as well. There's a small and large option. Lastly the vegan ramen with sesame miso broth, broccolini, corn, bean sprouts, soy meat, tofu, baby kale with chili oil. Food was quite tasty and very filling. Service was great with friendly staff. Didn't take long for the items to arrive. The place isn't that big so it does get busy.

We ordered via third party app because the preparation of the poke sounded intriguing and different. The food came in cute packaging. When we opened the containers, in my opinion there was too much rice/quinoa to fish portion. I did enjoy the taste of the poke. It had bits of sour notes from the apple dressing, which is different from what you normally order with poke. The avocado balances out the sourness. And the poke surprisingly pairs well with quinoa. The pork buns were really delicious! It has that umami taste you look for when eating pork. The meat was very tender - easy to bite and chew. The bun was nice and soft - had good texture. And the onions that came on it was good. You don't get that oniony, bitter taste that lingers in your mouth. Overall, I enjoyed the food. Poke was good but idk if I'd order it again because the rice-fish portions are off. But I definitely need to try the ramen cos I know that's what they're known for.

Every dish we've tried has been full of flavor and genuinely worth ordering. Surprisingly, compared to other Thai spots, it's usually not overly packed and honestly I'm almost scared to say that because I don't want it to change. The service has always been great, the food comes out quickly, and the portions/prices feel reasonable. So far, our favorites have been the pad see ew, tom yum soup (medium spice), egg fried rice, fried calamari and the beef BBQ which was so good we immediately ordered a second plate. The mango sticky rice is also really good, but the portion is on the smaller side, so we ended up getting two orders since one plate is hard to share with more than 2-3 people. Parking has been easy for us so far since there's both a parking lot and nearby street parking. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants that's officially in our regular rotation.

KIN Thai Cuisine in Long Beach off Broadway is a really solid spot…read more Parking is available, but it is limited, so just keep that in mind depending on the time you go. The restaurant itself is nice and clean, including the restrooms, which I always appreciate. The staff was very customer service oriented and did a great job making suggestions and giving tips about the menu and spice levels, which was super helpful. I started with the Money Bags, which are basically fried dumplings. Mine were a little overcooked, almost close to burnt. They still had decent flavor, but I'd personally rate them about a 2.9 out of 5. I also had the green papaya salad with mild spice, and the spice level was perfect, especially for people who are sensitive to heat. I usually stick around medium spice at Thai restaurants, but even the mild here still gives you a nice kick. For my drink, I got the Thai tea, which came topped with a Thai tea popsicle that slowly melted into the drink. Such a cute touch, creative, and tasty. For my entrée, I had the basil garlic sauce with sliced steak and a side of rice, which I really enjoyed. For dessert, we shared the mango sticky rice. It was good, but I do feel like it was a little overpriced for the portion size. Maybe part of that is because of the specialty rice they use that has the purple hue. I know a few places in Long Beach where you can get more for the same price. That said, the presentation was really cute with the flower garnish and everything looked beautiful. The atmosphere was nice. It has an open kitchen concept, so you can actually see the cooking happening, which adds to the experience. Seating is somewhat limited and the tables are fairly close together in certain sections, especially where the divider walls are, so you can definitely hear nearby conversations depending on where you sit. Great food, clean restaurant, and strong customer service. I'd definitely come back. Flavor Profile (for reference): Umami-forward (savory, salty depth) Acidic or bright (tangy + sour) Pungent and intense (spicy and bitter notes) Drink Preference (for reference): Bitter-forward cocktails Balanced acidity Light sweetness only, not overly sugary
