I went on a late night and the store was busy. After being seated, the staff immediately took my table's order. My table and I got their signature ramen bowls! They were fantastic! Poke bowls are also available on their menu. Free parking is available in the area. The restroom was clean. I'll be back!

Came for dinner last night and it was so good we came back for lunch the next day. Santi served us both days and took great car of us. Great food fast service and fair prices. There are so many delicious items. Bao buns are the best I have ever had. Ramen is delicious and the Goya and Sushi very good. Topped. It all off with green tea matcha mochi. Great pallet cleanser. You can't go wrong coming here!

rakkan is a great place to get hot soup at belmont shore ! they remodeled the inside awhile back and there are booths now !! plus, the staff is always attentive and polite. we had the opportunity to try this seasonal's ramen, which they rotate every couple months. this time is was the creamy truffle ramen, but the truffle flavor was very subtle. the broth was also hot and rich. other than that, everything else was delicious. the avocado tofu bowl is a must too. it tastes fresh and healthy. one of my favs here. definitely come to rakkan and try their seasonal ramen !!

My first time to Rakkan Ramen and it was Rakkan! We went for DineLA restaurant week menu and it was an incredible deal! The spicy cucumbers were good but they are cut pretty thick, wish they were cut slimmer but they were tasty! The hand rolls were really good. I had the spicy salmon and the scallop which were tasty. The ramen came out and by that time I was already getting full so I ate as much as I could. The spicy was definitely a low medium I'd say so if you want a little kick but not the super spicy, get the regular spicy level and it should work out. The coffee dessert was interesting. We all got it instead of half getting the coffee dessert and the other half getting the mochi haha. I'm sure the dessert is loved by a lot of folks but we just didn't care for it. The service was good and friendly. Inside dining area was relaxing and comfortable vibe.

Rakkan orginated in Tokyo, so I was eager to try. I called Rakkan on Tuesday, 12/30/25 to confirm they were open on New Year's Day and checked their website, which also stated normal operating hours. Both were incorrect. I checked Google on the 1st and it said they opened at 3, which was indeed correct when I arrived at the restaurant. The Quartz Spicy Ramen egg was cold, but the broth and lean chicken helped redeem previous issues. I ordered Chashu on the side for more protein and it was the right choice. The bowl is made with a vegetable broth, so it was way lighter than Tonkotsu. I think the star of the show was the small Karaage that came with a "buffalo sauce". That combination was extremely delicious! Lastly, Valeriia did a great job as hostess and waitress!

RAKKAN Ramen absolutely knocked it out of the park. Went on a rainy night with my family and it was perfect timing. The place felt cozy the second we walked in. Steam rising from the pots, broths boiling, warmth moving through the whole restaurant while it poured outside. It just hit. Now the ramen. Damn. Some of the best broth I have ever had. Deep, rich, and insanely flavorful. Shrimpy and garlicky in the best way, with layers that make you stop after the first sip because you know this is the real deal. You can tell real care goes into it. Service was quick and easy, but the food is the real star. Comforting, bold, and straight up delicious. This is the kind of spot you crave on a cold or rainy night, or honestly any night when you want something that hits. We will definitely be back.

Came here to do the dine LA. It was $35 person and it comes with a 4 course meal & drinks! You get an appetizer, 2 hand rolls, ramen, & dessert! For the appetizer we got the edamame and spicy cucumber. Both excellent. The hand rolls I got a spicy salmon avocado, salad, green, and California hand roll. The spicy avocado was a 7/10, salad was a 6/10, green was a 6/10, California was a 8/10. I feel the there was more rice than the toppings it was suppose to have. Still overall pretty good! As for the ramen I got the quartz mild and honestly I can say I've had way better ramen. I'd rate their ramen a 6/10. I've came here before, maybe 3 years ago and their ramen was pretty good! But as of last night it was ehhhh. Desserts were both a 10/10. Tokyo drift that came with coffee jelly & coconut milk, and the matcha mochi ice cream! Service- they were fast with the food! Friendly as welll. Ambiance, lots of seating inside.

It was very busy, but the wait time wasn't too bad. The service is fast, kind, and professional. I ordered the Furikake fries and takoyaki as an appetizer. I've had better fries; they were low-key mid. I really enjoyed the takoyaki. The creamy quartz ramen was sooo delicious! Hands down, one of the best ramen broths I've ever had. I'll definitely be back.

Second visit on a Sunday: 2/10 Experience GARNET clearly missing pork in bowl
    Lexie A.

Very disappointed to be writing this review because the first time I visited it was an AMAZING experience. The food itself was amazing no complaints. We got the Garnet and Quartz extra spicy. We also got the Karaage chicken appetizer that was to dieeee for!! Unfortunately though, my Garnet was missing the pork that comes in the ramen and I didn't notice until I was already home.. Very unfortunate and careless. Besides that our server was nice don't get me wrong but not attentive at all. She took our order and was very nice but after that it's like she forgot about us and would pass by us multiple times like she wasn't our server at all. We tried to get her attention multiple times but it didn't work out. We had asked her for waters for the table and they never came until we had to ask a guy behind the counter. We didn't get our waters until the end of our meal. It was so hard to get any help. We also asked for garlic for the ramen multiple times and never got it until we were already finished with our food. So disappointing.. Overall it just seemed like we were being ignored and not helped at all. I really enjoy the ramen here all the food is amazing and I would recommend to others if the service would improve. The service is a huge part of the experience not just the food. Maybe 2 servers should be working on a busy Sunday and not just 1...

This was the second chance I gave this place but after today realized I don't want to come back. The good parts were the octopus balls. I had those the first time I came and they were delicious the furikake fries were good. Just needed a tiny bit of salt and it would've made them pop a little more. The ramen however...... ouch. The noodles are amazing! Very delicious and love the size and texture. The meat was like forgettable. Like didn't take like anything sadly. Now the broth. That was the most disappointing thing. I honestly thought something was wrong. Literally tasted like water. I remember coming here last time but I could only remember the octopus balls so I gave it a second chance and wow did I immediately remember why I don't come here. Honestly the broth was such a turnoff. The corn side had more flavor than the broth. The service also pissed me off. First like several tables were sat and ordered and our server didn't come to our table. Second we order waters and a beer. Then ordered the fries and the ramen. Tell me why the waters came last. Like I had to ask for them again. Next we got our ramen and it came with a regular tablespoon. Which I didn't want to make a huge deal out of, but honestly that spoon is only given upon request so to get it out right is weird, especially at a ramen restaurant. I noticed every table around us automatically got the renge. I had to ask for the renge. On top of that I had to ask a random server cause our visited our table once to deliver the water and that it's. We had to ask for our check and for a box and for the renge. Quite ridiculous enough for me to complain about it in a review. Literally go somewhere else it's not worth the 70$ when it tastes like water.

I was too hungry I forgot to take a pic of the food lol! Service was amazing and made the experience better! Went on 6/3/25, a Tuesday, and it was a bit busy. However we got sat almost right away:) The portions were a bit small compared to what I'm used to at my go to ramen spot but the flavor makes up for it! I love ramen so any ramen spot I go to gets a thumbs up from me!

    Roy H.

Vegan Ramen now at a new (to us) location! The ramen is super savory and amazing for what we were looking for -- a restaurant that is yummy and good with veggies. We asked for an outdoor seating, and while the bar next door was a bit loud, it was great eating and enjoying the ramen while watching the bar hoppers with our dogs. Definitely will be coming around again when we are in the area!

    Neysa L.

Service Riley (spelling) was outstanding!!! Riley was engaging and attentive, calm even through a Busy late night dinner rush. Ambience was nice and chill -- sitting in a booth I had definitely forgot how full the space was. ALSO, each employee worked together as a team, seamlessly. Food came out quickly and fresh - apps & entrees all nice and hot - just what we were hoping for after a long, rainy day at Disneyland. Check this place out for sure next time you're looking for a late dinner!!! Thank you guys again!!!

I felt welcomed by the cool tones of the interior design and layout actually. We waited by the door as a party of two. Not too long after we entered were we greeted by the hosted and seated outdoors, as we requested. Even though it is on fourth street which has plenty of street traffic, it was still a quiet, comfortable dining experience. Every thing on the menu looked and sounded amazing but I planned to try the ramen because I've been craving a good bowl of ramen for a while. I landed on the shoyu ramen with tofu. I really enjoyed the taste of the broth. The flavor and seasoning was soul-healing. I don't usually go with plain chicken broth in ramen but I felt confident in my choice. I was literally happy dancing with each bite. The ramen was so good! My partner went with a spicy order of tonkotsu ramen with chicken, garlic, and black oil sauce. I tried parts of it and it was also delicious! I wanted to try the sushi but did not have that big of an appetite for both sushi and ramen so I opted for the salmon poke tacos. They tasted very savory and the salmon was flavored really well. The temperature and consistency was not too overwhelming for the tacos shell. The service was attentive and not too invasive. We took the check to the counter to pay. I am excited for our next trip here. It is dangerously walking distance for us! PS they have a sign that says they are hiring a dishwasher for Saturday and Sunday!

The gyoza wasn't bad overall, but the wrappers were a little too thick, the dipping sauce was forgettable, and it tasted like it may have been frozen. The spicy tonkotsu was pretty good. The spice level worked well, there was a slight hint of miso in the broth, and it was served at the right temperature. The pork belly was a little tough though. The portion reflects the price point. The place has a slightly unusual layout where the staff may not notice you immediately, but once they do, service is fast and friendly. The setup is also perfect if you enjoy sitting by the window and watching the street while you eat. Overall, Jounetsu Ramen doesn't disappoint, but compared to LA's heavy hitters, the ramen still has ways to go.

Pad See ew had such a good wok fry essence. So flavorful, and perfect blend of savory and slight sweetness. Chinese broccoli nicely wok fried. The shrimp was jumbo and so succulent. Salmon Larb was perfectly cooked with fried cubes of juicy flavorful salmon. Tossed in fresh mint, cilantro, scallions, a ton of fresh lime juice, chili flakes, red onions and lettuce. The toasted rice powder was definitely apparent as every Larb dish should have. Slightly different take of Larb, bit more modernized and tweaked cause definitely a salad with the lettuce versus served with the cabbage and cucumber on the side. I don't think you can go wrong with what you order. Definitely fusion of authentic with a modernized American feel. Cocktails were excellent and recommend their Tamarind Spicy drink, don't remember the name but it was so good. The lady didn't say anything just looked at my order on my phone and handed it to me. It was packaged nicely and had everything I needed in the bag. It was pretty spicy yet very flavorful. Good portion of noodles which is always the one thing I run out of first with ramens. I'd definitely order again when I have a ramen craving!

I got the vegetable miso ramen with spice level 2. It wasn't too spicy but I could also do without it because it was more of a numbing rather than flavorful spice. The regular noodles are a little thin but they're plentiful! There was a part that was kind of clumped together in my soup though. The broth was more just savory and salty but nothing really stood out as miso or anything different. I appreciate that they have a fair amount of bok choy and bean sprouts. And the tofu was really good too! It was covered in tempura so was almost agedashi-like but they only did give 2 pieces. Our waiter, Hector, was helpful, kind and continually attentive so shoutout to him! Prices are reasonable for ramen too. Glad I got to try!

Cucumber salad was the only fresh/light vegetable option on the menu. Decent but nothing to write home about. Ramen had solid flavor. I like that you can pick your spice level. The pork was fatty and delicious. I wish they put less noodles. I did order the thick ones which cost a bit more but the ratio was WAYY off. My bowl was 75% noodles which didn't leave room for much soup and the fillings were lost in the mix. I had enough left overs for a full second serving - so great to share!
