My husband ordered lunch here thru a third party app. I like the variety of food they have. I ordered edamame and salmon lovers roll and he ordered a miso salmon bowl and a Philly crunch roll for us to share. The edamame was good. Even when it was packaged in a container, the steam didn't overcook it. I really enjoyed the salmon lovers roll. Salmon is my favorite which is why I got that. They out just enough salmon inside the roll where you can actually taste it. My husband and I enjoyed the Philly crunch roll. I enjoy food with texture, so the tempura flakes on top gave it nice texture in contrast to the soft texture you get from the salmon and cream cheese bite you get from the inside. My husband ended up not eating the miso salmon, so I ate it. I ate half in a separate plate and added the miso sauce (since it came in a separate container). I was good. The salmon could use a little seasoning. The miso taste is very subtle, but was good. I know it's meant to be a healthy dish. The vegetables were steamed, so again it didn't have much flavor. But overall it was a good dish. Because we ordered thru a third party, they packed the food really well. And I like how they have the utensils, chopsticks, napkins already pre-packaged so it's easy to include in to-go orders. read more

The food here is good and convenient. My issue is that no matter what I do they can never get my order right. I love sushi but I'm allergic to cucumber and I always ask them not to put it in my rolls and they still do, which causes me to break out in hives. Yesterday was the final straw for me. They made my roll with cucumber, caught it and instead of remaking the roll they just pushed the cucumber out which still caused me to break out in hives. Now Uber Eats refuses to refund me for the roll that I couldn't eat and caused me to break out in hives. You can literally see the hole in the roll where they pushed out the cucumber instead of remaking it. read more

I appreciate that theyve always prepared my orders in a timely manner. The customer service is great too. There was one time that i ordered a salmon bowl for my coworker whos pescatarian, but we accidentally received a chicken bowl instead. When i called the restaurant, they acknowledged their mistake and not only allowed us to keep the chicken bowl, but we got a full refund and they made us the salmon bowl on the house! First, the young lady who helped me order was super nice. They have a picture menu on a tablet so you can see all of their offerings as well. Second, it took less than 5 minutes to get what I ordered. There is no seating, it's all food to go, but they do a great job with packaging. I personally didn't love the scallop roll BUT the sashimi - oh my goodness! It was so fresh!!!!!! Every slice was delicious and buttery. Perfect texture. Also, their prices are extremely reasonable. I am so glad I just discovered this takeout Sushi restaurant. Searching for poke actually led me here, but when I browsed the menu, I ended up ordering differently and it was delightful. This place is strictly pickup/takeout. No tables. Walk up to order on kiosk (card pmt) or with staff. Staff was available for any questions or if I needed help. I was stuck on anaheim street while my car was being serviced at a garage. It was the middle of the afternoon & I hadn't had lunch. Yanagi was a short walk away and I tried them for the first time. I found their teriyaki chicken bowl to be absolutely delicious. the miso soup was a large serving and also very yummy with plenty of seaweed and tofu. It was a delicious lunch! i don't find myself on anaheim street in long beach very often. I needed a quick snack and wanted to patron one of the local restaurants, and scored with a 5 star class act. Every dish was beautifully packaged and sealed. The chopsticks, soy sauce and napkins was packaged in a seal clear package. I tried the shrimp tempura it was packed with flavor cucumbers, avocado. Fresh and delicious but the topper was a splendid homemade mayo eel sauce I had to lick the container wanting more of scrumptious sauce. Magnificent. Next I tried the salmon baked roll. Let's just start with how supple soft and fresh and juicy the salmon was. Inside this roll crab, avocado, and I later discovered this wonderful roll was doused in their homage dynamite sauce simply delicious. Unfortunately it was a huge miss. The 12 piece assorted sashimi looked worse quality than what you would get at HMart. Fish were paper thin, you could see the light through them when holding it up. We also ordered 2 rolls, the Yellowtail Cilantro and Salmon Lover. Pitifully small and lackluster. No flavor whatsoever and the included sauce for the yellowtail cilantro roll was super sour. I opted to add sriracha on top for both to at least give it a more spicy kick. You can even see how thin the slice of yellowtail is in the roll. We also ordered the plain udon for our toddler and tofu with spicy garlic sauce. Nothing to write home about. Perhaps if you dine-in the portion size is better? They have a small parking lot shared with other businesses and inside it was really small. I noticed there were no tables to dine in and it was mainly a grab and go type of place, hence the location used to be a Little Caesars. My suggestion if you are ordering for pick up is to place the order close to when you're getting there, my order was sitting at the counter in room temperature for quite some time. I got the salmon lover roll, yellowtail cilantro roll, and rattlesnake roll. The salmon roll was tasty but really really really was missing like more than half the amount of fish that they advertise. The yellowtail roll was okay, maybe my least favorite (shockingly). The ponzu had a bit of a vinegar taste that wasn't ideal, so it was probably better without it. The rattlesnake roll had stale cold eel on top. Broke apart for most bites. Would be better if it tasted fresher.
