We attended a private birthday lunch for my husband's grandmother (3/14/26). It was our first time here and found the restaurant to be very upscale, yet, relaxing enough to come in with a pair of shorts. We were greeted promptly as we arrived. My husband asked about the Hubb parking discount QR. They quickly showed it to receive the discounted parking rate (it didn't apply in our case since the celebration lasted over 2.5 hours). The private dining room was located in the back between the male and female restrooms. Our server Shauna was absolutely super. She was warm, friendly and catered to the adults and the kids. She even offered to have the kids choose their entrees first so they wouldn't be fussy. Very thoughtful gesture. She showed them kindness and respect during the entire service. She even entertained them with fun tattoos. The kids menu activity also kept them busy. Our cups were never empty and she always made sure everything was made and served to our liking. When it was time to package things up, she also took the time to make sure everyone's to go order was divvied up in the correct bags. She provided a fantastic meal service with a warm smile throughout. We really appreciated her. The clam chowder was good. The garden salad was fresh and the vinegarette dressing was perfect. The calamari was nicely battered. Dips were good. Artichokes were cooked well. Crabs cakes looked nice but we didn't eat them. Warm sourdough bread was served with nice soft butter. The sirloin steaks was cooked to our request and the sides of mash and spinach/ rainbow carrots were good. Kids cheeseburger on point. Kids chicken tenders were fancy. We had a cousin who is strict vegan and the manager came to speak with her directly to create a personalized entree. It came out beautiful and tasted great per her report. After we enjoyed our lunch, it was time for dessert. I chose the key like pie and my husband chose the chocolate cake. Key lime pie was double the regular slice and we had to take it to go. Very tart with a nice crust. Chocolate cake was rich. After the meal was finished, the kids went out the back doors which lead to an outdoor patio area for the hubb. The four grandkids had a blast running around outside. We had a great experience. We greatly enjoyed the food, and Shauna made the experience even better with her phenomenal hospitality. Big shout out to her! Thank you, we will be back.

A Friday night at the end of Jan; after arriving to LA we checked in to our hotel (Hotel Royal) and strolled down the street to find dinner. We thought there might not be seating available on a Friday night but the host was able to fit us in! The host, our server, the bartender, and other staff we encountered while here were so friendly and engaging. We felt like we were regulars! We ordered our usually drink of choice - a classic Negroni. Yum! The first food item we ordered was the oyster sampler. Man, was this amazing!!!! It was such a great selection. There were 6 different varieties that allowed you to taste some saltier ones, some sweeter, some much smaller, and some oysters that were large! It was fantastic being able to try the different kinds. There were two of each of the 6 varieties so it worked perfectly for us. We decided our favorites were: Hama Hama, Kumamoto, James River, Barcat, and Rappahannock. Which I guess means we didn't prefer the Rincon de Ballenas as much as the others!!! Although they were still good we just wouldn't order a dozen of them. They were served with freshly grated horseradish, habanero relish, mignonette, and cocktail sauce. I may have got the relish wrong, it might have been jalapeño, either way it wasn't too spicy and it was very tasty with a hint of sweetness. While enjoying our meal a lady from the marketing team came up and asked if we'd like a free drink. It was their new cocktail which was not on the menu yet. They were taking photos of it for the website and she said she didn't want to waste it so she let us try it out! Sooo good!!! Very refreshing and light. It was called Pure Intention. Next our main course came out. We ordered the Cioppino and the Live Wild Dungeness Crab. The cioppino was fantastic. I was excited ordering this because my boyfriend didn't know what cioppino was and I love it! It was just as expected - fantastic!!!!! I was also very excited about the Dungeness crab but unfortunately that was a bit of a disappointment. It looked fantastic when it arrived at the table. Great presentation on the plate, but upon cracking into it I was greeted with a dry almost grainy texture to the meat. I've eaten a lot of Dungeness crab in my lifetime especially when I was living in Northern California and we were trapping them during season so I was very disappointed that the crab at dinner was not reminiscent of those crab days. It was overcooked or it had been frozen, or both(even though the menu says Live). It did not pull out of the shell easily and really just felt dry. I didn't want to complain to the server because I had a really incredible time and everything else was spectacular but my boyfriend insisted saying that it would inform the kitchen so the next person ordering it wouldn't have the same issue. Our server took the complaint well and was very kind. She took it off our bill and she offered us a free dessert! We chose their most popular dessert choice, Hooked on Butter Cake. Delicious! You have to get it if you go here! So good! Mouth watering right now thinking of it.

Really good. We enjoyed sitting with the windows open at the table. A gorgeous day. The Shrimp and oysters were fresh. Disappointed to learn they didn't have King Crab legs....something to do with "pricing". The Poke salad was a bit on the spicy side and overwhelmed the dish. The fish was good but missed on flavor and the potatoes seemed more instant but we enjoyed the Brussel sprouts. Crisp and tasty. Service was good.

My pops brought me for my birthday and let me keep it simple off the bat. WOW. The Oyster Sample was a fantastic recommendation by our server. Every oyster was a ride on its own. The calamari here tastes rich and absolutely fresher than any I've tasted before! Beers were fresh too. Now the main entree I tried was a buttery trout and I was moved on how fresh it tasted! I immediately texted my fiancée to plan a date to come down with her and try more!

The food was amazing. Very well made. The server that served my table was really nice and checked up on us a lot. It was loud and crowded but it was fine.

    Buffalo Wings 8.5/10

Over the past two months, my family and I have eaten at King's Fish House on Pine three times. We keep coming back because our first visit was such a great experience, and the food was amazing. We consistently order the buffalo wings as an appetizer, and they're a solid 8 out of 10. I love that they bring out a steel bowl for the bones...such a simple but thoughtful touch. My mom is a big fan of the blue cheese dressing, and I have to agree, it's pretty good. The clam chowder also deserves a shout-out. We'd give it a 9 out of 10. It has a great balance of clams and potatoes, the consistency is perfect, and it's not fishy at all...just the right depth of flavor. As for the entrées, they've been a bit hit or miss, which is disappointing in terms of consistency. My dad has ordered the trout three times. The first time it was perfectly cooked, but the second and third times it came out overly dry. The mashed potatoes followed a similar pattern....amazing and extra creamy the first time, but colder and with a different texture on the last two visits. That said, we do plan to continue coming back. Hopefully the kitchen can improve consistency, but overall the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is great, and I would definitely recommend this place.

We were visiting from out of town and stopped by after seeing all the glowing reviews, and because we wanted a nice place to celebrate my birthday. It was early in the evening, so the restaurant wasn't busy, and we were greeted and seated right away. I also loved the date printed on the menu (definitely a cute photo birthday girl moment), though I did wonder if it might be a bit wasteful. Our waitress was wonderful. She was warm, friendly, and took her time explaining the menu and offering recommendations, which we ended up following. The complimentary sourdough loaf was an excellent start: fresh, flavorful, and hard to resist. For entrées, we ordered the blackened ono sandwich, which came with a nice thick piece of fish and really good flavor. Though I would say I tasted way more pickled onion more than fish. We also tried the shrimp and scallop plate. The sides, cauliflower and mashed potatoes, were delicious, well seasoned, and cooked well. The main seafood portion, however, was just okay. The shrimp were slightly overcooked, and both the shrimp and scallops had that "heavily seasoned cover up" taste. The seasoning itself was tasty, but it made the seafood seem less fresh than we expected. The prices were also steep considering the quality and portion size. I was full after, but I feel like I was just filling up on the carbs from the mash potato and fries. While we appreciated the service and enjoyed several parts of the meal, overall it didn't quite meet our expectations.

My Wife and I decided to have a nice night out at King's Fish House! Located in Downtown Long Beach, this seafood restaurant offers top of the line products with creative imaginations of seafood favorites! My wife and I had the calamari, I had the fried shrimp, oyster sampler, and my wife had the grilled shrimp with mashed potatoes. Our server Andrés did an amazing job of recommending us cocktails and continuously checking in on our dining experience. He educated us on the history of the establishment and his favorite things to get when he eats. The inside offers a mariner look that blends Californian sea life with the modernity of 2025. It definitely offered an opportunity for escapism!

    Chilean sea bass tacos
    Bert V.

My tacos were just average - so why does King's fish house deserve 4.5 stars? Let me explain... for starters, I have eaten there before and this is the first time my meal was just "ok". Secondly, everyone else at the table loved their dinner. Scallops? "Excellent." Sand dabs? "Amazing." Thirdly, our server was amazing. Not only was Kylee incredibly attentive and enthusiastic but she was also very helpful with recommendations. I truly appreciate any server who is willing to give honest feedback and advice on the menu and help you make a selection that is perfectly aligned with what you're in the mood for. Back to my tacos. The biggest complaint was that the sea bass was slightly "fishy" and not the mild flavor that I typically love and associate with a good sea bass. Otherwise the tacos were "good" but not necessarily memorable. The restaurant is also very loud - which is not a problem for me but was for some people at my table. Overall, there is a reason I keep coming back and it's because it has been a solid performer with only one small "hiccup" on this year's trip with those tacos.

Celebrated my birthday with friends here. Good food and very attentive service. It's been a while since I came here & everthing seemed to have been spruce up & nicer than before. My dinner,Osprey glazed Chilean sea bass was so tasty & since I didn't want rice, they swapped it with grilled zucchini for me. Bread pudding was tasty & key lime pie got thumbs up from my friends. Very pleasant experience & we will remember to come here again since the atmosphere is much nicer than I member it to be. On Pine & 3rd/4th street, there are parking structures with first 2 hours free, if you don't mind walking a few blocks to the restaurant.

This was a very pleasant find, came across this from Yelps recommendation and it is superb. Looking at the menu, I wanted something a bit nicer for my Valentines Dinner, but King's Fish House was above and beyond my expectations. From the impeccable service, the delicious meals and the upscale decor this was a fantastic meal. The chop house vibe set a chill ambience, this is both a date night and a weekday meal place. The immediate parking is limited, but they do have parking garages nearby and valet service. Everything we had was delicious

This place has amazing service and the food is delicious! Definitely recommend going for either lunch or dinner. Steve is AMAZING every time I go. Steve is always pleasant, professional and friendly! He knows how to craft the perfect cocktail that will leave you feeling happy and satisfied! The ambiance is cool and relaxing. Great place to come and watch sports, drink and eat delicious food. 10/10!

    Lobster Roll
    L K.

Sat in the open seating portion of the bar for a late lunch. It wasn't very busy so can't tell if it's typical like this or if it was because it was the Long Beach Grand Prix weekend. We watched the race from 2 of the 4 TVs they have in the bar area. It took quite a long time for an acknowledgement at the high top table, but once someone finally arrived, service was friendly and prompt. We ordered 1/2 dozen oysters, cesar salad and lobster roll. All of it was pretty good. We also enjoyed the complimentary bread and butter.

Every dish we've tried has been full of flavor and genuinely worth ordering. Surprisingly, compared to other Thai spots, it's usually not overly packed and honestly I'm almost scared to say that because I don't want it to change. The service has always been great, the food comes out quickly, and the portions/prices feel reasonable. So far, our favorites have been the pad see ew, tom yum soup (medium spice), egg fried rice, fried calamari and the beef BBQ which was so good we immediately ordered a second plate. The mango sticky rice is also really good, but the portion is on the smaller side, so we ended up getting two orders since one plate is hard to share with more than 2-3 people. Parking has been easy for us so far since there's both a parking lot and nearby street parking. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants that's officially in our regular rotation.

KIN Thai Cuisine in Long Beach off Broadway is a really solid spot…read more Parking is available, but it is limited, so just keep that in mind depending on the time you go. The restaurant itself is nice and clean, including the restrooms, which I always appreciate. The staff was very customer service oriented and did a great job making suggestions and giving tips about the menu and spice levels, which was super helpful. I started with the Money Bags, which are basically fried dumplings. Mine were a little overcooked, almost close to burnt. They still had decent flavor, but I'd personally rate them about a 2.9 out of 5. I also had the green papaya salad with mild spice, and the spice level was perfect, especially for people who are sensitive to heat. I usually stick around medium spice at Thai restaurants, but even the mild here still gives you a nice kick. For my drink, I got the Thai tea, which came topped with a Thai tea popsicle that slowly melted into the drink. Such a cute touch, creative, and tasty. For my entrée, I had the basil garlic sauce with sliced steak and a side of rice, which I really enjoyed. For dessert, we shared the mango sticky rice. It was good, but I do feel like it was a little overpriced for the portion size. Maybe part of that is because of the specialty rice they use that has the purple hue. I know a few places in Long Beach where you can get more for the same price. That said, the presentation was really cute with the flower garnish and everything looked beautiful. The atmosphere was nice. It has an open kitchen concept, so you can actually see the cooking happening, which adds to the experience. Seating is somewhat limited and the tables are fairly close together in certain sections, especially where the divider walls are, so you can definitely hear nearby conversations depending on where you sit. Great food, clean restaurant, and strong customer service. I'd definitely come back. Flavor Profile (for reference): Umami-forward (savory, salty depth) Acidic or bright (tangy + sour) Pungent and intense (spicy and bitter notes) Drink Preference (for reference): Bitter-forward cocktails Balanced acidity Light sweetness only, not overly sugary

Tell me to meet you somewhere and I'll be there. Simple as that and less stress for me. Anyways, that's how we ended up at this place. Trying to find happy hour with food in the area was somewhat a challenge. Either they were finishing up or it wasn't that interesting on the menu. Of course some places offered amazing drink deals but no food. We ended up here actually across the street still looking up for places but the rooftop patio was what caught our attention. The restaurant itself looked bare as there was no one inside. Still on the early side but noticing people going in and then heading up stairs. After a few debates on here and there, we gave up and found our way here. Checked in with the host, letting him know that we just wanted happy hour upstairs. It was about two flights of stairs which the place looked quite industrial with all the metal beams and stairs. Downstairs was beautiful but completely emptied. Everyone wanted to utilize the rooftop patio as it was beautiful out. We were greeted by someone which mentioned to us that any bar seating was available. There was a section towards the back that was pretty lively. I think it was booked for a group. Instead of the bar area, we asked to sit along the rooftop counter that looks out to the street and building across the street. Way better view and perfect way to spend the afternoon hours. Staff were all pretty sweet and very friendly. Whatever we needed they were they to help. Both the regular menu and happy hour menu were quite impressive. As we just wanted HH, it was given. They had drink special for 10.00 and small bites for 10.00 as well. Didn't hesitate and started off with some drinks. The red sangria with mixed fruits was a nice clean and refreshing treat. Tasteful without that aftertaste. And the Le Pistolet Fumant, a delectable tasty drink with mezcal with a hint of pineapple. And other well drink that was perfect for a nice afternoon. HH drink special was quite tasty to start off. Food wise, started off with an order of the Caesar salad, simple but delicious. Fresh crisp Romaine lettuce and slices of Parmesan and crouton bits. Nice crunch with each bite. The dressing, wow pretty tasty. And an order of the Mac and Cheese . Most places it's either a hit or a miss and let me say it was a HIT. Quite cheesy and full of flavors that a second order was had. A dish I do recommend for HH. We also had an order of the Brussels sprouts which was excellent. A nice glaze and crunchy with chunks of house cured pancetta. Nice big chunks I must say. Lastly the beef sliders with Wagyu beef patties. Honestly, this was the least favorite of the dishes we got. You would think it sounded great but it was quite tasteless and nothing major to report on. Served with brioche bun and shredded lettuce and tomatoes and a lemon aioli. I had high hope for it when I saw the group next to us order it but it was a little disappointing. Overall, the Mac and cheese, Caesar salad and Brussels sprouts were all hits. The sliders, disappointing. Other items on HH didn't look too ingesting for us but it was for other people. The rooftop lounge and bar area was the place to be when we were there. It picked up real fast after we got seated. Picnic style tables being occupied by large groups before HH ended. Just the rooftop alone was great and beautiful. It a place that's good for a drink and meal with friends. Downstairs was beautiful but seemed more of an intimate experience. Overall, it was a great choice for a meal during HH.

If you want fresh seafood at a reasonable price, this is the spot. For first timers we took it easy. I went with the fried fish and scallops. My wife chose the fried fish, shrimp and scallops. The Fry and the seasoning were really good. Everything was nice, fresh, and hot. We washed it all down with ice cold bottled Snapple Lemonade. They don't have well drinks. Besides fried product, they also have a grilled option. They offer outside seating, picnic style. It's not a fancy seafood spot. It's a grab your food, find a table, enjoy your seafood and beer, while hanging out solo or with a group of friends kind of spot. We'll most definitely be returning

But the bartender Juana seems to have a problem with making margaritas for the customers. Complained about how long it takes to make margaritas. And although the first 2 margaritas we tipped $5.00, she refused to make the 2 other margaritas we ordered. Why? She told us she won't make the margaritas because we didn't tip enough for the first 2. We are both restaurant GM's ( I have over 34 years experience) came here for Mother's Day. If I ever heard any of my bartenders or food servers make that comment to a guest/patron I'd fire them! Just feel you need to know to keep your establishment in order.

Went for a Mother's Day lunch. Was very busy but we did have a reservation…read more Was sat once our entire party arrived. We were originally placed in a booth, but that would have been rough moving around for seconds and thirds. There was also a child with the carrier not able to be fit around the table. Was happy the servers accommodated us and moved to a more comfortable location. The buffet itself was pretty solid - roast beef, ham, salad bar, various veg and sides. Crab legs, oysters, shrimp, and sushi. Your typical buffet desserts also. Everything was freshly prepared and wasn't dry / old feeling (like how a lot of other buffets can be). It's definitely on the pricey side for a buffet, but the view, weather, and food quality make it fine for a special day out for the moms out there.

I chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday dinner, and unfortunately, the experience was…read moredisappointing from start to finish. Our table was seated right in front of the singer, yet we felt completely overlooked the entire evening. We never received basic items like bread, water refills, extra napkins, or even straws unless we repeatedly tried to flag someone down. When our calamari arrived, it was missing something as simple as lemon, and getting our waitress's attention to fix it was nearly impossible. She was extremely difficult to find throughout the night--it honestly felt like we didn't have a server at all. The lack of attentiveness made the whole experience frustrating and uncomfortable. It was clear the outdoor area was understaffed, but that doesn't excuse the level of service we received. On top of that, the food was overpriced for the quality. You're essentially paying for the view, not the dining experience. You're better off at the Cheesecake Factory where the prices match the quality of food and the service is exceedingly better. It was exhausting looking for our waitress. It would've been nice to have a manager making their rounds to voice an opinion to in real time. I also want to mention the hostess with dark brown hair in a low bun, who came across as rude and dismissive for no apparent reason, which set a negative tone from the beginning. My twin sister and I were trying to seat our party together and she just didn't seem accommodating but just dismissive. I had heard great things about a server named Ashley from others in my party, and I really wish we had been seated in her section. Based on this experience, I won't be returning or recommending this place to others.
