Got the catfish poboy & fries, great sized sandwiched & fish.. coleslaw was sweet just how I like it, the bread was soft, fries well seasoned. The hostess was great and the kitchen was fast so service was 10/10 for the Togo order.. good prices for downtown restaurant.

Excellent service! From a clean interior, to a really inviting experience by the staff. All in all was great. Food was hot, came pretty quick, and tasted great. Not from the area but when we're back, we'd love to stop by again.

Located in long beach, you can find the crab shack. It's one of those spot where you should be willing to get your hands dirty to eat good but they do bring you plastic gloves to wear if you're not willing and they also provide you with a bib and wet napkins to clean up at the end. Location: Corner restaurant off busy streets with lots of street parking around, I don't believe I saw a private lot for parking but everything in that area is walkable. Ambiance: Restaurant is pretty big with Indoor/outdoor dining. It's not anything new or fancy but definitely clean and fits the food options. Food: Delicious! I was never a big fan of but this place was full of flavors and the selection of food was great. You order by the pound and you can mix seasonings per order and add tons of sides as well. They offer things like fish, crabs, potatoes, corn, and more. Everything came out hot and ready to eat within minutes. Service: Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was Immediately greeted as I walked in, and sat down right away. My visit was during the week so it wasn't busy at all, I'm not sure how weekends look like. Staff checked on us enough times to make sure we had everything but not too many were it was annoying lol Definitely a good a spot to come have a meal with friends or family and have fun eating and making a bit of a mess. SYoY!

Gumbo - large enough to share. Delicious, spices were on point.

Out-of-towners staying in Long Beach the night before a cruise. We decided to walk around the area of our hotel and came across this place. Very cool and laid back atmosphere, the food was delicious, and the staff attentive.

Customer service was impeccable. Our server was caring, chill, and took care of everything quickly. Super impressed! Got waters quickly upon sitting and our drinks quick as well after. I ordered fish and chips. I couldn't taste the cajun on the fish, I thought it the texture was weird... rubbery and way too soft for my liking. Fries were super good and a great portion on both plates. We had left over fries lol. We also got wings, they said they were super good, one of the best wings they've had. 10/10.

The staff was awesome , was able to customize our order and made sure we had what we needed. A true feast style , dumped on the tabled ! I felt super bad because some girl ate an entire plate of crab next to us and dined and ditched ! Apparently it happens a lot because of the location. Hope karma works its magic. They have a rocken happy hour so make sure to tap in

This place was kinda a disappointment. Two of my friends and I had plans to meet here to chow down on some good shrimp and hang out. We came around 5pm on a Friday for dinner and it wasn't busy at all. Just a few groups. We started with some fried oysters which turned out the be the best thing there. But for $17 for a small basket I thought that was a little pricey. We ended up getting a pound of shrimp each. It was market priced at $18/pound of shrimp. I got the one with head on but you can order it peeled with head off for an additional $5. A pound with head on is about 20 shrimps. Head off is about 30 shrimps but they looked smaller to me. I got the Crab Shack Style sauce which is a mix of all the sauces. We all agreed that their sauce is very bland and watery. It needed more flavor and lacked garlic. We tried putting more sauce and lemon but not very satisfying. The shrimp itself did taste fresh though. Their sausage was good and the corn was okay. We all paid separately and my total for the oysters, a pound of shrimp, 1 corn, and 6 piece sausage was a little over $53 (with tip). Service was okay. Would we be back? Probably not since there are just other places similar that are better. However, if you're looking for a place to drink and hangout then maybe this is for you. The inside of this place is similar to any other seafood boil place. There is a cool outside patio area. The parking situation can be a little tough since there is only street parking and most is 2 hour parking only. The area is busy so kinda hard looking for a spot.

Came here to about a week ago and let me tell you! If I could give my waiter 10 stars I would. We walked in and got seated ASAP. I have never had the strawberry lemonade here and it was DELICIOUS! She handed us gloves and bibs, limes, salt and pepper right away. She was very attentive. I wish I would have remembered her name. The shrimp, potatoes and eggs were delicious! I'd come back to this one even if it's a little far from me.

Our first time here, nice patio area for outdoor dining , friendly service and great selection . Love the clam chowder, fried oysters with fries and Shrimp Po Boy . This is a neighborhood gem.

Was spending the day in Long Beach and wanted to get our seafood fix. Love the atmosphere of the place. Prices are slightly high but not unreasonable. I had a crab burger (deep fried crab on a bun) and the wife had shrimp boil. We left satisfied

Every dish we've tried has been full of flavor and genuinely worth ordering. Surprisingly, compared to other Thai spots, it's usually not overly packed and honestly I'm almost scared to say that because I don't want it to change. The service has always been great, the food comes out quickly, and the portions/prices feel reasonable. So far, our favorites have been the pad see ew, tom yum soup (medium spice), egg fried rice, fried calamari and the beef BBQ which was so good we immediately ordered a second plate. The mango sticky rice is also really good, but the portion is on the smaller side, so we ended up getting two orders since one plate is hard to share with more than 2-3 people. Parking has been easy for us so far since there's both a parking lot and nearby street parking. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants that's officially in our regular rotation.

KIN Thai Cuisine in Long Beach off Broadway is a really solid spot…read more Parking is available, but it is limited, so just keep that in mind depending on the time you go. The restaurant itself is nice and clean, including the restrooms, which I always appreciate. The staff was very customer service oriented and did a great job making suggestions and giving tips about the menu and spice levels, which was super helpful. I started with the Money Bags, which are basically fried dumplings. Mine were a little overcooked, almost close to burnt. They still had decent flavor, but I'd personally rate them about a 2.9 out of 5. I also had the green papaya salad with mild spice, and the spice level was perfect, especially for people who are sensitive to heat. I usually stick around medium spice at Thai restaurants, but even the mild here still gives you a nice kick. For my drink, I got the Thai tea, which came topped with a Thai tea popsicle that slowly melted into the drink. Such a cute touch, creative, and tasty. For my entrée, I had the basil garlic sauce with sliced steak and a side of rice, which I really enjoyed. For dessert, we shared the mango sticky rice. It was good, but I do feel like it was a little overpriced for the portion size. Maybe part of that is because of the specialty rice they use that has the purple hue. I know a few places in Long Beach where you can get more for the same price. That said, the presentation was really cute with the flower garnish and everything looked beautiful. The atmosphere was nice. It has an open kitchen concept, so you can actually see the cooking happening, which adds to the experience. Seating is somewhat limited and the tables are fairly close together in certain sections, especially where the divider walls are, so you can definitely hear nearby conversations depending on where you sit. Great food, clean restaurant, and strong customer service. I'd definitely come back. Flavor Profile (for reference): Umami-forward (savory, salty depth) Acidic or bright (tangy + sour) Pungent and intense (spicy and bitter notes) Drink Preference (for reference): Bitter-forward cocktails Balanced acidity Light sweetness only, not overly sugary

The atmosphere is always warm, welcoming, and consistently top-tier, but what truly makes this restaurant special is the hospitality. He struck the perfect balance between professionalism and genuine hospitality, which made the experience even better. I also want to recognize Ethan, who brought out my food. Ethan was incredibly hospitable and thoughtful from start to finish. He complimented my order choice, made sure I had everything I needed, and even circled back after I had taken a few bites to make sure I was enjoying my meal. Tell me to meet you somewhere and I'll be there. Simple as that and less stress for me. Anyways, that's how we ended up at this place. Trying to find happy hour with food in the area was somewhat a challenge. Either they were finishing up or it wasn't that interesting on the menu. Of course some places offered amazing drink deals but no food. We ended up here actually across the street still looking up for places but the rooftop patio was what caught our attention. The restaurant itself looked bare as there was no one inside. Still on the early side but noticing people going in and then heading up stairs. After a few debates on here and there, we gave up and found our way here. Checked in with the host, letting him know that we just wanted happy hour upstairs. It was about two flights of stairs which the place looked quite industrial with all the metal beams and stairs. Downstairs was beautiful but completely emptied. Everyone wanted to utilize the rooftop patio as it was beautiful out. We were greeted by someone which mentioned to us that any bar seating was available. There was a section towards the back that was pretty lively. I think it was booked for a group. Instead of the bar area, we asked to sit along the rooftop counter that looks out to the street and building across the street. Way better view and perfect way to spend the afternoon hours. Staff were all pretty sweet and very friendly. Whatever we needed they were they to help. Both the regular menu and happy hour menu were quite impressive. As we just wanted HH, it was given. They had drink special for 10.00 and small bites for 10.00 as well. Didn't hesitate and started off with some drinks. The red sangria with mixed fruits was a nice clean and refreshing treat. Tasteful without that aftertaste. And the Le Pistolet Fumant, a delectable tasty drink with mezcal with a hint of pineapple. And other well drink that was perfect for a nice afternoon. HH drink special was quite tasty to start off. Food wise, started off with an order of the Caesar salad, simple but delicious. Fresh crisp Romaine lettuce and slices of Parmesan and crouton bits. Nice crunch with each bite. The dressing, wow pretty tasty. And an order of the Mac and Cheese . Most places it's either a hit or a miss and let me say it was a HIT. Quite cheesy and full of flavors that a second order was had. A dish I do recommend for HH. We also had an order of the Brussels sprouts which was excellent. A nice glaze and crunchy with chunks of house cured pancetta. Nice big chunks I must say. Lastly the beef sliders with Wagyu beef patties. Honestly, this was the least favorite of the dishes we got. You would think it sounded great but it was quite tasteless and nothing major to report on. Served with brioche bun and shredded lettuce and tomatoes and a lemon aioli. I had high hope for it when I saw the group next to us order it but it was a little disappointing. Overall, the Mac and cheese, Caesar salad and Brussels sprouts were all hits. The sliders, disappointing. Other items on HH didn't look too ingesting for us but it was for other people. The rooftop lounge and bar area was the place to be when we were there. It picked up real fast after we got seated. Picnic style tables being occupied by large groups before HH ended. Just the rooftop alone was great and beautiful. It a place that's good for a drink and meal with friends. Downstairs was beautiful but seemed more of an intimate experience. Overall, it was a great choice for a meal during HH.

We were originally placed in a booth, but that would have been rough moving around for seconds and thirds. There was also a child with the carrier not able to be fit around the table. Our table was seated right in front of the singer, yet we felt completely overlooked the entire evening. We never received basic items like bread, water refills, extra napkins, or even straws unless we repeatedly tried to flag someone down. When our calamari arrived, it was missing something as simple as lemon, and getting our waitress's attention to fix it was nearly impossible. She was extremely difficult to find throughout the night--it honestly felt like we didn't have a server at all. The lack of attentiveness made the whole experience frustrating and uncomfortable. It was clear the outdoor area was understaffed, but that doesn't excuse the level of service we received. On top of that, the food was overpriced for the quality. You're essentially paying for the view, not the dining experience. You're better off at the Cheesecake Factory where the prices match the quality of food and the service is exceedingly better. It was exhausting looking for our waitress. It would've been nice to have a manager making their rounds to voice an opinion to in real time. I also want to mention the hostess with dark brown hair in a low bun, who came across as rude and dismissive for no apparent reason, which set a negative tone from the beginning. My twin sister and I were trying to seat our party together and she just didn't seem accommodating but just dismissive. I had heard great things about a server named Ashley from others in my party, and I really wish we had been seated in her section. Based on this experience, I won't be returning or recommending this place to others.
