    Amazingly delicious Mud Pie
    Dari P.

After a disappointing trip to a park for an afternoon concert, with absolutely no parking anywhere, we took a ride and wound up at the crab shack. We had a beer I hardly ever drink beer, but I need a cheering up. I also had a huge mud pie dessert. It was absolutely totally delicious. The portion was huge and every bite made you want to eat faster so you can get the next one the cookie crust was very firm and the ice cream was piled up very high. I think this was the best mudpie I ever had.

A friend brought me here for my birthday. I rarely go to crab boil spots because I usually have to pay and I want crab legs and lobster. Lol so I got crab legs and lobster for my birthday along with shrimp and all the trimmings as well as scallops plate. Everything was on point delicious the drinks were great too. The restaurant is cute and casual. It does overlook the water, but we went at night so we didn't really enjoy the view. Looking forward to coming back during the day because I love an Ocean view. The servers were great and were patient with us because we didn't want to stop celebrating so we sat out by the fire pit and have some drinks. Great service.

The shrimps and everything tasted expired and my daughters lobster tail was undercooked and nothing was fresh my daughters birthday was a epic fail bringing her here and her ice cream with cookie baazugie was nasty as well tasted like garlic and fish $140 to the trash

Catfish Poboy Po Boy's Sandwiches with Fries

Got the catfish poboy & fries, great sized sandwiched & fish.. coleslaw was sweet just how I like it, the bread was soft, fries well seasoned. The hostess was great and the kitchen was fast so service was 10/10 for the Togo order.. good prices for downtown restaurant.

Excellent service! From a clean interior, to a really inviting experience by the staff. All in all was great. Food was hot, came pretty quick, and tasted great. Not from the area but when we're back, we'd love to stop by again.

Located in long beach, you can find the crab shack. It's one of those spot where you should be willing to get your hands dirty to eat good but they do bring you plastic gloves to wear if you're not willing and they also provide you with a bib and wet napkins to clean up at the end. Location: Corner restaurant off busy streets with lots of street parking around, I don't believe I saw a private lot for parking but everything in that area is walkable. Ambiance: Restaurant is pretty big with Indoor/outdoor dining. It's not anything new or fancy but definitely clean and fits the food options. Food: Delicious! I was never a big fan of but this place was full of flavors and the selection of food was great. You order by the pound and you can mix seasonings per order and add tons of sides as well. They offer things like fish, crabs, potatoes, corn, and more. Everything came out hot and ready to eat within minutes. Service: Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was Immediately greeted as I walked in, and sat down right away. My visit was during the week so it wasn't busy at all, I'm not sure how weekends look like. Staff checked on us enough times to make sure we had everything but not too many were it was annoying lol Definitely a good a spot to come have a meal with friends or family and have fun eating and making a bit of a mess. SYoY!

Out-of-towners staying in Long Beach the night before a cruise. We decided to walk around the area of our hotel and came across this place. Very cool and laid back atmosphere, the food was delicious, and the staff attentive.

Customer service was impeccable. Our server was caring, chill, and took care of everything quickly. Super impressed! Got waters quickly upon sitting and our drinks quick as well after. I ordered fish and chips. I couldn't taste the cajun on the fish, I thought it the texture was weird... rubbery and way too soft for my liking. Fries were super good and a great portion on both plates. We had left over fries lol. We also got wings, they said they were super good, one of the best wings they've had. 10/10.

This place was kinda a disappointment. Two of my friends and I had plans to meet here to chow down on some good shrimp and hang out. We came around 5pm on a Friday for dinner and it wasn't busy at all. Just a few groups. We started with some fried oysters which turned out the be the best thing there. But for $17 for a small basket I thought that was a little pricey. We ended up getting a pound of shrimp each. It was market priced at $18/pound of shrimp. I got the one with head on but you can order it peeled with head off for an additional $5. A pound with head on is about 20 shrimps. Head off is about 30 shrimps but they looked smaller to me. I got the Crab Shack Style sauce which is a mix of all the sauces. We all agreed that their sauce is very bland and watery. It needed more flavor and lacked garlic. We tried putting more sauce and lemon but not very satisfying. The shrimp itself did taste fresh though. Their sausage was good and the corn was okay. We all paid separately and my total for the oysters, a pound of shrimp, 1 corn, and 6 piece sausage was a little over $53 (with tip). Service was okay. Would we be back? Probably not since there are just other places similar that are better. However, if you're looking for a place to drink and hangout then maybe this is for you. The inside of this place is similar to any other seafood boil place. There is a cool outside patio area. The parking situation can be a little tough since there is only street parking and most is 2 hour parking only. The area is busy so kinda hard looking for a spot.

The staff was awesome , was able to customize our order and made sure we had what we needed. A true feast style , dumped on the tabled ! I felt super bad because some girl ate an entire plate of crab next to us and dined and ditched ! Apparently it happens a lot because of the location. Hope karma works its magic. They have a rocken happy hour so make sure to tap in

Kin was one of the only restaurants open until 10 PM. We were seated right away, and somehow the five of us sat in a private room. It was kind of late for me to eat anything really heavy so I just have my usual salad and it was the beef tenderloin salad. They serve it up with a lot of beef and less veggies. The beef itself was a little chewy and in large pieces. I prefer the meat to be cut a little smaller and would like more lettuce and cucumber. I got a little taste of the spicy fried rice, which was really good. Some of us ordered Thai tea and didn't expect what we received, which was the tea with a Thai tea popsicle. What a treat! The Thai tea itself was pretty standard, but that popsicle was like the icing on a cake. The places, modern and clean. Staff is helpful and nice. Since we had smaller appetites, this was basically finished before we left to get back home. seafood chowder: holy moly, I mean the cheese being shredded (chef's kiss emoji), imitation crab, green onions, shrimp, potato, this was so rich and creamy. we regretted only getting a cup but it was also just enough due to the richness (and our lactose intolerant tummies). vietnamese coffee: well I didn't know it was going to come in a cup as big as one's bladder, but this (as one knows about Vietnamese coffee) packed the punch in your throat by the first sip. I felt like I got flashbanged in the gulag. the flavor was also delicious, can't go wrong - but maybe let the ice melt before you try chugging it.

Visually, the burger was impressive and looked exactly like something you'd want to dig into. However, the salt level was overwhelming to the point where I genuinely could not finish it. What made matters worse was that our server was not attentive with refilling our waters, and when you're working through an extremely salty dish, hydration isn't optional. I left the meal feeling dehydrated and honestly a little frustrated. The bright spot of the visit was the Brussels sprouts, which were genuinely well done and showed some real kitchen care. If I were to return, I'd probably stick to the vegetable sides. For a restaurant with a 4 PM lull and minimal table traffic, there's no excuse for that level of inattentiveness. A simple water refill and a quick check in would have saved the experience. As it stands, the combination of an over salted entrée and absent service made for a tough sell on the value. If you're in the area craving a burger, you might want to save your money and head down the street to Louis Burger instead. Ellie's may shine in other areas; I've heard good things about the pasta, but this particular visit missed the mark.
