    My dinner

Serena C was amazing. Her attention to detail and warm demeanor was exceptional. She was very well spoken and well versed. We celebrated my birthday. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Kudos to the chef. Jeremy the manager was so friendly. It was nice to have him check in on us. We love the Long Beach location. Lots of parking. They do validate ($5 parking instead of $15) . Staff are well dressed. Staff are always great here. Restaurant is pristine. Beautiful inside. Nice and romantic.

We are practically neighbors with Ruth and have never dined here even though we've walked by a thousand times. We've been to 555, Queensview, and this place takes the cake when it comes to steak! (That rhymed). I ordered the two 4oz petite with shrimp and a side of brussels. My partner ordered a 24oz t-bone and the lobster Mac n cheese. All of it was delicious! The steak was cooked to perfection, literally pink and tender. They made it without the butter since I needed it gluten and dairy free but still the meat was seasoned perfectly and they managed to get a crust. Our server was Serena and she was a delight! She made us smile and laugh and just added sparkle to our experience. And it was our anniversary so the sparkle was appreciated. We will definitely return and hood to be seated with Serena again! Check out the photos and make your res today!

Came to attend a MASA seminar and we were treated to a lunch. Ordered the filet with shrimp. The French bread was warm and filling. Their house salad was huge and came in an elongated bowl. We had creamy mashed potatoes and overcooked broccoli for the table. Then came the filet in a sizzling hot plate. It was a little tough so I think it was a sirloin and not a filet mignon. At the end of the meal, I was full but wasn't impressed. The service, on the other hand, was amazing. They were very attentive and accommodating. The woman at my table complained about her steak being inedible. They tried their best to pacify her even giving her a shot of vodka. She probably just needed a drink.

It's probably more of a 3.5 star instead of 4 star experience at this location. The food was great, consistent with the other locations we've visited in the past. However, the dirty cutlery as well as not very genuine waitress (nice lady, but kept saying "you're welcome" prematurely and to things that completely did not warrant it, which was weird. Also, she would start speaking before we finished our sentences when we would make simple requests like getting some water) made the experience slightly strange

Dear Ruth's Chris' Manager at this location, Your reservation checker should be reassigned! She's costing you money and led to a rather unfortunate experience! Let me explain. I had scheduled a table (via open table) for a Friday Night for 5 at 7:30pm on a Friday night weeks in advance as I was in town for a convention and a business dinner. I found out day of around noon that we were asked to add one to our reservation with our client. So I went to open table to modify my reservation to 6, however it said that was no longer an option at 7:30pm. I get it. It's a Friday night, prime dinner time slot, in Long Beach on a nice weather day and a huge convention in town. They might actually be booked up. But I figure I'd call and ask because you can't always trust open table. So then about 2 hours later by pure chance the restaurant calls me to confirm my reservation! What luck, what service, and a nice surprise. I say things like "I'm so glad you checked in. Yes I'll be coming. By any chance can I add one to my reservation." Because in my head, and most people would think this way I think, if you have a person reservation you are probably at a round table or booth or something that should fit 6. I am unaware of any pentagon tables at most restaurants! So I go on with my reservation checker, "I'm not sure of your seating chart or table arrangement but if you have it figured out and we're at a larger circle table or something else could I add one more". And I get an absolute hard No and that it's not possible at your existing time. So I foolishly accept that answer thinking open table must have been right, it's Friday night, it'll be busy and crowded I guess when we get there. So I have to call my client and tell my coworker that the restaurant unfortunately can't handle another person. I even joke with them if we show up and at a 6 person table... So our plus one had to go find other dinner plans and spend their money elsewhere. So fast forward to the actual reservation (for 5). We show up a hair early. Everything is nice. The staff greats us. I hear them even ask someone in another party to remove their baseball cap when heading to the dining room. How fancy and appreciative that there is a dress code they follow. And when our party is finally there we head back behind the check in desk to the dining room. It's beautiful, it's stunning, it's partially full but surely other parties are still arriving. And we get to our table and it's a @&$&& 6 person rectangular table. And now I'm pissed. And I've got my coworkers looking at my like what is happening and mouthing to me this is unbelievable. So we are all in a bit of shock. And I do mention this to our hostess who is seating us that I was told there was no way we could add an extra seat to our party. She apologies profusely which I appreciate the recognition of the mistake and having to deal with an issue her reservation checking coworker has left her to deal with. So the good news the 6th spare chair was an excellent spot to hold my client's bag. Not a very good conversationalist unfortunately and certainly the bag didn't meet the dress code of the dining room. So in the end we had what I would think is a modestly nice, work expensed, and decent spend per seat. We don't go crazy on a drinks or a bottle of wine, but I suppose we could have easily. But we only really starting parting when there are 6 of us! Still A total of $756 or $153 dollars a person is a nice meal for the night. And without taking up another table and increasing your turnover yield you could have easily had another $150-200 of income the other night with little effort or additional overhead work. And also worth mentioning by the time we went through our meal there were numerous tables available that never filed up. You had more tables still available! As for an actual review of the food. Overall the actual dining experience was very pleasant. This is certainly on a normal day a solid 4 star place. But for today's review you get docked for my embarrassment I had to endure with my clients at dinner gets you a 2.5-3 star review. Our actual waiter for the night was fantastic. Attentive.l, great appetizer suggestions, thanks again for the ravioli suggestions. A tad funny. Refilled my delicious Arnold Palmer numerous times. Kept the table clean. Took care of our clients food allergy concerns. (Huge plus for bringing out the allergy free items entirely separate from the other dishes) And rattled off the dessert list numerous times for us. He gets an A+ and a gold star. And everything we ordered was delicious, well cooked and tasty.

We stopped in Ruth Chris in LongBeach for the first time. Been to the Anaheim location before and it was a very great experience. So we tried LBC location on Ocean .I really liked this location it's in a commercial building like in NYC. Feeling. Our waiter Shane was amazing from the start. Helping with our drinks and accommodation of the new items on the menu . While we're dining Amber came by to greet us and meet us it was a personable experience. Our meals were 10/10 and we will be back Cheers

This is a steak salads that comes with no steak. The service at Ruth Chris in Long Beach is horrible! This place should close down

My husband and I just enjoyed an amazing meal at Ruth's Chris Long Beach. From the time we arrived up until the time we left the service was outstanding! Our server Alexie was very attentive explaining the menu options down to making sure we were aware of the hot plates! The ambiance was outstanding we had a corner booth over looking the city! The food was very good from the appetizer's to dessert! No carry out containers needed. Thank you to Cory and the rest of the staff for making our night out so very special. We will definitely be back!!!

Came here to celebrate my 38th birthday, and Ruth's Chris absolutely delivered. From start to finish, everything felt special. The 16oz ribeye was hands down the best part of the night -- perfectly cooked, juicy, flavorful, and served sizzling just the way it should be. If you're coming here for steak, this is the one to order. Worth every bite. We also enjoyed the seared scallops, au gratin potatoes, classic Caesar salad, and warm bread with butter -- all solid and satisfying. Cocktails were strong and well made (the margarita and Old Fashioned were great choices). To top it off, the staff surprised me with a birthday dessert that said "Happy Birthday," which was such a thoughtful touch and made the night feel extra special. Great food, attentive service, and a perfect spot for celebrations. We'll definitely be back -- especially for that ribeye.

Food Dine LA special - Ahi salad was fresh, we'll seasoned and balanced with the right amount of citrus. New york steak- nice search with just salt and pepper. Supper tender, but lacks that beefy flavor i look for, but overall good piece of steak. Side- fired roast corn- good buttery flavor, but a bit heavy handed on the seasoning. Dessert- chocolate cake nice concentration of chocolate goodness. Service - excellent and not overbearing. Price - good for Dine in La. $80 Restroom - clean and fancy hand towels. Parking - with validation was $5. Parking is at the rear of the restaurant on seaside way, just before the convention way overpass.

One of my favorite steakhouses . Made reservations for a Saturday night for my best friend's birthday party of 8 and it's was okay. The reservation was made for 830 maybe because it was a little busy we waited about 20 minutes for our table no biggie. I like the mode lighting and semi intimate setting . And the confetti and customs menus was such a nice touch. I had a citrus honey martini ; it was good I would have liked it to be a bit stronger and little more honey flavor My meal I got the Ruth classic which comes with a starter , entree & side and dessert. I got filet and shrimp with creamed spinach everything was cooked to perfection . My only issue was the timing of food . Was also told they were out of lobster Mac and cheese but there was lobster for entrees. I got my filet and shrimp and then about 20 or so minutes got my creamed spinach and mac & cheese that was ordered for the table . So I did eat my steak first because i didn't want it to get cold. I wasn't a fan my family food came out in increments of 15 minutes because while others waited for everyone food to arrive their food would no longer be hot/warm.

Came in for a few happy hour items on a Friday evening at 5PM and later ordered a steak for dinner. The waiters were tentative and we got our drinks and happy hour items in a timely manner. The bar was definitely packed for happy hour, but we were able to snag some seats. As we sat down, we were greeted with complimentary bread and butter. The truffle fries were good but some fries were crispier than others. A tad bit on the salty/oily side. The dipping sauce was delicious. We got the cowboy ribeye to share with Brussels sprouts for our main. Love that the steak comes on a sizzling buttery plate. The Brussels sprouts were good but had a ton of oil/butter at the bottom of the plate. The steak was cooked at a medium rare to our liking with a crispy edge. The seasoning is a tad bit on the salty side but it would go perfectly with a side of mashed potatoes and bread. The ambiance at this location is more on the relaxed/casual side. I've been to the San Diego and Del Mar locations and they seem to be more "upscale" with a more trendy modern feel of the decoration and customer base. Ruth Chris has always been one of my go to spots for steak. Keep in mind that your arteries might feel a little clogged after eating here with the amount of butter they use. Nonetheless, it's a solid steakhouse.

It's a small, charming spot with a relaxed atmosphere. Just a heads up- there's no indoor seating, so everything is outdoors with a small patio setup. That said, when the weather is nice, it's actually ideal. It feels very laid back and intimate, like one of those hidden neighborhood gems you stumble upon. The employee working when we went was super friendly and welcoming, which always makes a place feel even better. The wine I tried was really good, you can definitely tell it's natural wine (in a good way!). They also have small bites available if you want to snack while you drink, though we didn't end up ordering food. Parking is street parking in the area, which wasn't too difficult to find when we went. Overall it was just a really pleasant experience. The fact that I've passed by this area so many times without noticing this little gem feels like a true tragedy. Though petite and easy to miss, this spot is something special. They specialize in natural wines, thoughtfully and selectively curated since they're not a winery themselves. The selection offers great variety, and because seating is limited, it's very much a first-come, first-served situation, arrive early if you want a seat. There's some indoor seating, with more available outside. The wine servers were friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. They also host food vendors. There is a sushi spot right next door which is conveniently located next to the theater where you can score discounted bottles if you're catching a movie. Wines rotate as they sell out, so if you fall in love with one, do yourself a favor and grab a bottle before it's gone.

Located off the fun Retro Row on Fourth St. with the last Friday event happening, we noticed a good amount of people walking in and there was a security guard out front. The crowd was lively so it must be good. First off, I was totally surprised about this place. It's a pretty nice spot. There's the main bar right along one wall that offered both wine and beer. There was also a corner that hosted a live band. When we arrived, no one was playing yet. The crowd seemed to be more of the younger hipster vibe. A completely different crowd from the LA scenes. Getting a drink wasn't that bad even though it was busy. I happened to get lucky when someone moved from the bar stool for me to approach. I was a little surprised when the wine I ordered was in a box...lol... I mean, it was whatever. Some options were for a glass only or for both a glass or bottle. But when it came to checking out, tipping options went from 20 25 percent to 30 percent. Wasn't used to that as an option as it's not like you're dinning in. Anyway, the surprise was when we walked out and seen that they had a massive back patio. It was hard finding a seat as it was packed. There was also a food trunk on deck but wasn't sure what they were serving. We noticed people with hotdogs and someone with a box of pizza. Not sure if it's from the vendor or if you're allowed outside food in. The vibe was fun, the crowd was lively and everyone there for a good time. It's more of a younger scene. The inside is cozy, with both table seating available (for normal sized groups- 2, 4, mayyybe 6 ppl) as well as bar seating (where I was seated). It's easy to pick up on the fact that this is a favorite local spot, with the owner and staff immediately recognizing several patrons by name upon arrival (I was envious! lol) The wine selection is impressive, and they have a simple menu of a few Sammie's, salads, and appetizers such as cheese boards, baked pretzel, and other items. Along with my glass of Malbec, I enjoyed a cheese board and quite possibly the BEST Caesar salad with chicken I've had in a decade or more! Dietrich was tending bar, and while not extremely well versed in wines (which he admitted openly), he was knowledgeable enough to pull solid suggestions based on your taste/preference. He was warm and friendly (and busy!). The owner was present the whole evening as well, and though I tried to engage, he didn't seem very interested in making chat with a non-regular like me lol. (It's ok!) There was a guitarist, which added vibes, but mostly just noise...his speakers were very loud, and the selection felt a little out of place. I would've stayed longer than the hour I did, if the music were a little lower and enjoyable (maybe jazz or something?). Maybe there'll be a different musician the next time I visit...I WILL be back!

It's a nice spot located in Belmont shore. It's very clean and spacious on the inside with couch seating along with tables and chairs. It isn't loud but they did have some music playing. It's a good spot to chill at with family and or friends for a few glasses of wine. It's also a cool spot for a nice intimate date. Had the pleasure of tasting 4 different wines; 2 whites and 2 reds. I enjoyed the wines. You can bring your own snacks and charcuterie board. The hostess was very knowledgeable of the wines, sharing backstories of where and how they were produced. It was a good learning experience also.

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Delightful little wine bar with great service…read more The hubby and I came for a fundraiser for the LB film festival and we both thought it was a lovely little place. It was comfortable and casual, and seemed very popular with the locals. They didn't have a ton of vegetarian options, but we got the Baked Brie & jam with grilled bread and the Eggplant and Olive tapenade, also with grilled bread. I was excited to see escargots on the menu, but they were unfortunately out. We had glasses of a great red blend--alas, I didn't get the name. Service was friendly and prompt. We're not huge wine people but would definitely like to come back and try again on a regular night.
