I had the tomato bisque soup and a side salad, my husband had the salmon bowl. He liked his dish,my soup however had a strong garlic powder aftertaste. The side salad was good though! The gingerbread cheese cake was amazing. Great service !We loved the view

Miguel has got to be the funniest and friendliest guy in the building! We would go back just to have great conversation and laughs with my guy lol Tempura shrimp was a table fav. The bacon cheeseburger featured butter lettuce, wow.. not just any ole iceberg lettuce. Sweet chili wings got devoured real quick. It's great to see Vue all remodeled and fancied up. Grab a table by the windows and just chill fam

Wanted a nice city view overseeing Lakewood. Tried this rooftop place for drinks and appetizers. Even though it was a weekend, this place still honored their happy hour specials from 3pm to 6pm. Kudos to this establishment for doing so. Ordered Sangria and Chardonnay wine along some figs. The quality of wine and food did not disappoint. Our server Bernice was awesome! She kept attending to us providing the best possible service she can perform. Very Kind and professional. If you are in the area to drink and eat at a Rooftop location in the city of Lakewood CA, this is the perfect place to chill and talk. Not loud at all. Good for Great conversations. Indulge and splurge while enjoying a Sunset. Food and Service is affordable. Parking can get full, may need lady luck on your side for a space to open.

This restaurant is located on the top floor of the Holiday Inn Long Beach well they call it the Penthouse. The first time we came here was on a Monday evening around 10ish. So the kitchen would be closing soon. But the b arc would still be serving alcohol. The bartender working this Monday evening was friendly and kind. She had a good conversation with us. We didn't get to order food because we were to late. But that's okay. The next time we came here was a week later as we got off of the cruise ship and we were looking for dinner that evening. We went earlier this time so we could actually try something. The waitress we had was okay. She seemed like we were bothering her. It was kind of busy. We wanted a different table because it was right under the A.C. vent. So we asked if we could please move. She didn't care to much for that. But we ordered food and drinks. Food cane our promptly and it was okay. If you're staying here at the Holiday Inn come here try them out.

This is my 100th view! I chose the Vue for my 100th! The food here is hit or miss, when it is a miss they will fix it for you, same with the drinks. The bartenders and servers are great here. The manager here is out of this world. She's so cool and pretty awesome! She will come order things to make sure her guest are getting what they should be getting. I think that really makes a great manager! Depending on the time you come, this place can be loud or quiet really depends on what you want. Earlier in the day it's more quiet and bright. Later it gets louder and dark but it is a lot of fun. And it can get crowded but still all good. And these guys make a good lemon drop! YUM!!!

This is located on the top floor of the Holiday Inn. I am not normally inclined to try hotel restaurants, but, I heard of the view and the cocktails and well, I wanted to give it a go. I was pleasantly surprised! The view is lovely!! There are seats at the bar, high tops, and two and four tops. The view to the west takes in the sunset and the view to the north you can watch the planes. So there is alwys something to see. They also have a fair amount of TVs and some 90s music on. So for ambiance, it's trying to find its way a bit. Sports Bar/fine dining/speak easy. The menu changes seasonally. So keep that in mind. I was super eager to try the French Onion Soup, but behold, a new season. Summer begets the tomato.. I am trying to be more "plant based" in my diet, or at least "less processed". And this definitely for the bill for that. The menu features food that is more local, more fresh and less processed. Which was exactly what I was looking for. For my meal, I was surprisingly ot starving, so I just got some Brussels sprouts. They were prepared with a balsamic reduction, some bacon and a wee bit of cheese on top. They were so good!!! I'd highly recommend them! I was also looking for a lovely cocktail. I saw the images on IG and the like. And in honesty, it was Monday.... So, an Old Fashioned it was. It was prepared perfectly and it was pretty!! I also felt it had a nice pour. For my two items it ran about $30.00. I did dine with my service dog, LongYellowDog. Which didn't bring any issues with the staff. The wait staff (Shannon) was super friendly and honest about the menu and what she thought I'd like, based on my diet, I really appreciated that. She also made sure everything was perfect for me. The hostess was quick and the barkeep was doing a fabulous job too! I'm taking off one star for the lack of identity. Be a sports bar, be a speak easy or be fine dinning or even two of the three. Embrace that you cannot be all things to all people.

We had family visiting and were staying at the Long Beach Holiday Inn, so we decided to dine at the restaurant on the top floor, which offers great city views. It was definitely crowded on a Wednesday evening, but we were seated promptly. Our group of 20 appreciated the separate checks, and it's worth noting that the restaurant is cashless, accepting only credit cards. The bar area had TVs, which was a nice touch for those interested in catching up on sports or news. I ordered the burger wrapped in lettuce with onion rings, and both were good--the onion rings were nice and crispy. My cousin had the Sarasota Shrimp Scampi, while other family members enjoyed dishes like Spaghetti Primavera, Linguine Alla Scampi, Chicken Parmigiana, and Chicken Piccata. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Service was good, and the combination of city views (forgot to take a picture) and delicious food made for a pleasant experience. I will definitely return.

We celebrated my grandpa's 80th birthday here and it was an absolute success. The staff, the food, the view, EVERYTHING was amazing! Matt was so great at communicating, super organized, and just a breath of fresh air when planning this party. Miguel was a tremendous help from start to finish. He pretty much read my mind and got anything and everything for our family before I even had to ask. Matt, Miguel, and the entire Vue Bar + Restaurant were the best! Thank you so much for your services, hospitality, and making my old man's day special

Salmon and pesto mushroom risotto, side of Brussels sprouts. I think my plate sat under a heat lamp a bit too long and wilted my hibiscus.

It's always iffy when visiting a hotel restaurant, so I was pleased with my experience at VUE. First, the view is fabulous! No matter where you sit, this circular top-floor location is beautiful. The service was friendly. The food was decent. But let's start with the cocktails. I love gin. And Empress is one of my favs, so when I saw a gin cocktail as one of the specials, including grapefruit juice with a salty rim like a spin off a Salty Dog, I bit. But there wasn't much bite to the bark. The beauty of adding citrus to Empress is the color change, but this drink, served in a too-small chimney glass, didn't deliver. Not only on the visual, but the taste. Too much salt on the rim wiped any other flavor out. The good news is, I used some of that salt on my crispy Brussels sprouts appetizer, which made them even better. I ordered the Brussels sprouts as a side--so no bacon or parm as served with the appetizer version, but that's what I wanted. And they were good! Crispy in the outside, tender inside, if not wanting for a bit more sodium. And a bit of parm would have been nice, but I knew it didn't come with that when I ordered them. Next, I had the salmon and pesto risotto with wild mushrooms. It was ok! Salmon was a little overcooked, but still tasty and not-to-dry and it had plenty of sodium. It offered a generous portion of salmon, which I couldn't finish. The risotto has slightly undercooked and a little dry. It had lots of cheese and mushrooms (I think I picked them all out! Love mushrooms!). It was a large portion that I couldn't finish, but I was satisfied. The odd thing to this dish was some sort of sweetness that I couldn't identify. I believe it was a glaze on the salmon, but I seemed to taste it more when eating the risotto. It wasn't bad, just somewhat out of place. I think I would have enjoyed the dish more with less sweetness. Overall, I was pleased with the dinner. I have low expectations when eating at hotel restaurants, but I was pleasantly surprised with my meal and experience at VUE.

I came here on a staycation. The pretzel was surprisingly good (it had a tad bit too much salt) and the Brussel sprouts were good too. I had the shrimp scampi for my entree. It was ok, but I wouldn't recommend it. It was kinda bland. The garlic bread it came with was pretty good. The view makes you want to stay all night. There was a private party on the side closer to the airport so I wasn't able to sit on that side. Definitely make a reservation so you're guaranteed a table, a lot of people had to wait at the bar.

Always looking for places to go after work - and last Friday found myself at the VUE. Finally Penthouse Bar and Restaurant. At the top of the Holiday Inn over near the Long Beach Airport. Can't miss it. Look for the cylindrical shaped hotel near Willow and Lakewood right off the 405. Lots of parking. And free. Just don't park in the employee structure. At least that's what one of the restaurant staff told me. Which goes along with service. Kimberly - newly hired did a great job. Attentive. Friendly. Great personality and fun. There were a few others who stopped by dropping off drinks or food but I didn't catch their names As for the food and drink - see pics. Enjoyed the appetizers as I wasn't really there to eat - but to drink. Was in the mood for Old Fashions and asked to have the prepared with Rye. Nice and balanced. Food was good too - felt the shrimp was a little underdone but I'm a fan of Sushi and Sashimi so no worries there. Just hate it when shrimp is overcooked. And I basically inhaled the calamari. Good portions for appetizers. It's close to several of my work facilities so it's a given that I'll be back

I was in the area & found a place open past 9 pm. Late night dinner Fast service Healthy portions And great views of the city This restaurant is on top floor (penthouse level) of a hotel. They have full bar. And believe during the day the view would be spectacular. Bon appetite!

Food: I ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito, and it truly stood out. The chorizo was rich, savory, and well balanced with a deep, seasoned flavor profile that was not overpowering. The temperature was spot on, warm throughout without being overly hot or uneven. The cheese was perfectly melted with a smooth, cohesive texture that was evenly distributed in every bite. Each component worked in harmony, creating a burrito that was both satisfying and indulgent. It was filling to the point where I did not want to stop eating it, easily a highlight of their menu. The organic orange juice complemented the meal beautifully. It had a fresh, vibrant citrus profile that tasted like it had been squeezed that same morning. Bright, clean, and refreshing. Environment: The space was clean, busy, and very accommodating when it came to seating. Despite the crowd, everything felt organized and welcoming. The ambiance struck a great balance with low to moderate noise, making it comfortable for conversation while still feeling lively. The lighting and decor were simple and effective. Natural sunlight filled the space since there was no heavy window advertising blocking it out. Clean ceiling fans circulated a fresh, easy breeze that made the environment feel open and comfortable. I could genuinely see this place being used as a film location with its authentic and inviting aesthetic. Cleanliness: Details matter here and it shows. The tables were wiped down thoroughly and paired with sturdy, well maintained booth seating. No cracks or worn out surfaces. All condiments at the table were fully stocked, clean, and easy to use. The floors were tidy and well kept, and even the parking area was clean and easy to navigate. Overall: This is a place that clearly understands its customer base. Families, kids, and hardworking locals all feel at home here, and you can tell it has a strong, loyal following. The combination of quality food, thoughtful service, and attention to detail makes it stand out. I will absolutely be coming back to eat here again.

Bristy, our server, thoroughly explained the details of certain dishes such as the Mac & Cheetos. She also checked in on our table throughout the meal and came around often to refill our water. As for the food itself, it was very delicious. My favorite dish was the artichokes. They had a somewhat smoky flavor and the outermost leaves were crunchy and a nice contrast to the soft inside of the artichokes. They were also served in a tangy sauce that complimented the vegetable well. My friend's favorite item was the macaroni and cheese. It was chewy and creamy, and the pasta, which Bristy informed us was made in-house, was what my friend thought elevated the dish because it was a nice texture. We additionally ordered the gumbo which was also tasty but not as yummy as the other two dishes that we ordered. It is not a spicy dish if one is concerned about spice level. As for the ambiance of the restaurant, we enjoyed how the atmosphere felt casual and almost like you were sitting in somebody's house (the wallpaper and interior design is pretty) while still maintaining an elegant aesthetic design. If I was in the area, I would return to The Attic for dinner. My friend and I had a very welcoming and positive experience in terms of the service and food respectively at this establishment.

We came on a weekday so getting a table quickly wasn't an issue. Points for the service. The…read morehostess and server were good. The restaurant has multiple parts. There is inside seating what looks like a converted house? There is outside seating at tables or at the bar. The menu was interesting which had a theme of shrimp; there was eggs Benedict with shrimp, but not an item to order a regular one without it? Sure maybe could have ordered and asked without shrimp but pay the same price? Pass. Ok when I called they mentioned they serve brunch until 3? 3:30 I can't remember. The server mentioned they serve the brunch all day? Either way when I got to ordering this month on the menu it highlighted the shrimp po boy. I tried to order and nope, out. How can you be out of the item highlighted as the special in the middle of the day? When the place is not packed? I tried to order the lobster roll and again, out. I was tempted to order their short rib poutine since in theory it sounded good, but at this point I tried something simple I would hope they have in the kitchen chicken and waffles. The plate came and it looks good. If you look at the picture at the bottom of the chicken you can see a dark something. As I lift my chicken I found a huge burnt piece of breading pictured next. On top of the chicken is green onion I think? Who eats that with chicken and waffles? If I am wrong, a garnish is totally unnecessary for this dish. The chicken was moist. There are spices in the flour breading I can see but hard to taste what it is. The waffle is a hard pass for me. The waffle was crispy which is good, but also thin and dry and I couldn't taste any sweetness until I put maple syrup on it. The syrup came out warm which was nice. It's clear watching the people at the bar this is a local hangout. The chicken and waffles were $19 which if I was in the bay I think it's about right, but I think a little high considering the level of food I got. Supposedly this place is packed specifically on Sundays. The server doesn't know why? I'm not interested to even try to come back for a second chance and just be told sold out of the menu.

1st timers today, and will def not be our last visit…read more Shout-out to the Yelp reviews lead us to this Amazing Smash burger joint. Our order: -Onion rings (the right batter to sliced onion ratio & delicious seasoning); -the french fries- crispy and the right amount of salt seasoning *dipped into their Jalapeno ranch, and you will be left smiling!* -the Works: What a burger! I love Portabello mushrooms, caramelized onions, and Persian cucumbers, so when I read that on the menu, I knew I had to order this, and I am not disappointed! This hit the spot. The smash patty topped with my favorites made for a perfect burger filling party. -the Don Chendo burger- the salsa Don Chendo on a jalapeño-Cheddar bun - culinary innovation at its finest! For non-spicy eaters like myself, you can eat this. This is definitely tolerable spice with a delicious flavor that overrules any "heat". The buttery, softness of the bun with the cheddar and jalapenos melted into it compliment the flavors of the patty, red onions and Chendo sauce. Having a burger is a rare craving for us, and thankfully our taste buds led us here this time that we did, because we were left, not only satisfied, but can safely say that this is one of the fewest Exceptional burgers we have tried thus far. Burgers are huge too! You def get more bang for your buck here. Staff was very welcoming, friendly and attentive toward us. We truly appreciated the warm greeting and them making sure we felt comfortable with their product deliveries coming in/out of the restaurant while we ate. Not too big & not too small of a place. Ample seating booths make for a comfy social occasion. We highly recommend to All! & will return again!

Sideburns is a true hidden gem in Long Beach; conveniently located right next to The Stache Bar…read more I originally came for the Vegan Breakfast Burrito; and it absolutely delivered. Refried beans; crispy tots; vegan cheese; avocado; mushrooms -- hearty; filling; and layered properly. But what really makes this burrito stand out are the house-made sauces. The salsa has the perfect heat; and their vegan dipping sauce elevates the entire experience. You can taste the intention. Now let's talk about the burger. The vegan burger is not an afterthought here. It's juicy; well-seasoned; and balanced. The texture is on point; the toppings are fresh; and it holds its structure without falling apart. You can tell they care about execution. Between the house-made sauces; the fusion flavor profile; and the consistency across both items; Sideburns earns its spot. If you're in Long Beach and want vegan comfort food done right; this is absolutely worth pulling up to.
