One waitress handled the whole restaurant which was amazing because she greeted everyone and eventually got to everyone. Take a peek at the menu and see their great selections. We had the turkey club, French toast with scrambled eggs and bacon as well as the granola pancakes (huge!) with over hard eggs and crispy bacon. The coffee was decent. I ordered the ABC omelette with home potatoes and upgraded the bread to a granola pancake for an additional $4. I had been wanting to try their famous granola pancake, so I was happy they allowed the substitution. The portions were generous and easily enough for two people. The ABC omelette was delicious. It had plenty of bacon pieces, just the right amount of cheese, and the avocado on top was fresh and flavorful. I requested the home potatoes well done, and they came out perfectly crispy on the outside and great with ketchup. The star of the meal was definitely the granola pancake. I can see why it's one of their most popular items. It was one of the best pancakes I've ever had. Topped with bananas, blueberries, granola, and almonds, it had a unique combination of flavors and textures that I've never experienced before. I would absolutely come back just for the pancakes. I have been driving past the Country Kitchen for months and my curiosity got the best of me & here we are. Its located in a small strip mall off Cherry & Spring. I believe its family owned. The waitress was amazing, very friendly & attentive, very pleasant & she kept my wifes coffee cup full. It took less than 10 minutes to get our food, which was nice. The menu is pretty basic but I was told to.try the pancakes next time, unlike most places the fruit is cooked intonthe pancakes not just placed on top. They have banana pancakes, blueberry pancakes, and the granola pancakes taste like all the flavors of pancakes rolled into one and then they add granola. They lived up to all the hype. You should definitely take the first few bites without syrup. They are moist and delicious by themselves or with just a little smear of butter. The other surprise was the house made sausage patty. The waitress recommended it when I upgraded to the combo and I tend to listen to the people that work there. They know what's up. That patty was the best sausage I have ever tasted. We have been here a few times for breakfast and every time we come in the service is great. The waitress is nice and attentive to make sure you have what you need. The ambience of the restaurant makes you feel like you are at home eating some good food. My favorite dish here is the country fried steak and eggs. The steak is perfectly breaded and the sausage gravy they put on top has a really good taste and not too salty. I usually get my eggs scrambled and they are always fluffy, I would love to know their secret. The house potatoes that I steal from my boyfriend's plate are pretty good, too. I've been coming here for over a year fairly consistently. It's only gotten better and better. Today, for the first time, I tried their famous granola pancake. It's full of bananas, blueberries and granola. I don't know how but they managed to keep the granola crunchy which adds to the enjoyment of the dish. As I have heard people say, try the pancake without the syrup first. It really doesn't need any. I always enjoy playful banter with Yusi. Located off East Spring St in Long Beach. Parking is small it's shared with the other businesses in this small little strip area. The place is not too big had a good amount of tables to dine in. They are only opened till 2pm so they serve only breakfast and lunch. The staff were friendly. I got the 2 eggs with 4 bacon strips and the homemade biscuits and gravy. I was wondering if they will be able to deliver that more of a home field rather than corporate breakfast places but we all know so well. I was greeted by warm staff that look like my friends Moms got together to make sure that they feed their kids. Everybody smiled and everybody cared, and it was really good filling to be around them. The prices were seemingly reasonable, considering that omelette was almost $16 and it came with everything you would expect omelette to come with. Home potatoes were delicious as well! The atmosphere inside is humble and very clean, with rather regular booths, that are easy to get in and out, with some curtains on the windows that had that warm country feel. They offer biscuits and gravy as an option for your bread with any of their breakfasts and it was nice; however, the gravy was bland. I went with a standard pancake combo with scrambled eggs and sausage and it was exactly what I wanted - no more or no less. They do have the option for a "granola pancake", which offers some crispy textures in your pancakes, but that's not what I was craving. Overall, I left happy and I got what I was hoping for. My girlfriend, I inadvertently stopped here for breakfast. She thought that it was linked to one with the same name in Torrance but today I remain unsure of that. When I am sure is that this place has very very good food. As a first time customer, I was very brave to try their country fried steak. However, found out that it was quite up there with the best. To whom I thought was the owner gave a thumbs up when she heard my request for breakfast. It appears that her thumbs up meant a lot. The mistake was perfectly fried and crispy. The gravy on top was OK, but it needs a little bit more love on the seasoning side. The hashbrowns were incredible. I took a good look at them and it looks like they sliced them fresh, which leads me to believe that is what makes them so perfectly crispy and delicious. Whoever thought of that strategy was a genius. The sourdough bread was good as well. I look forward to trying something else, but for those of you who are country fried steak fans, this place has it good. My girlfriend had the Farmer sandwich and looked to enjoy it quite well. I think the bread might've been too soggy due to her over easy egg, but overall she enjoyed it, as well as the crispy hashbrowns. The staff there really looks after you.
