The restaurant is family owned, and they not only treat their patrons like family, but they treat their staff with the utmost support and love. The food! Every single item I have eaten thus far has been so delicious! Today I had the pot roast....so damn good! My husband had his favorite: the western bacon vegan cheeseburger. He says it tastes better than Carls Jr! We also had the Kung Pao Cauliflower...it has just enough of a spicy kick that doesn't overwhelm the rest of the taste. They also do a once a month event called on a Tuesday called the Good Luck Vinyl Club. It's a listening session focused on one particular album. Speciality cocktails are made the for the event along with a limited menu selection since it's get really packed and sells out! I would highly recommend going to this event if you can! The ambiance, its open air space and very welcoming. It's a wonderful spot to gather with your friends, family, or even if you go solo! It's a must go to spot and has deep roots in the Long Beach community! Thank you Navarro family! What a great place to call my favorite restaurant (along with your Lola's, of course!)

I never expected to find stellar cocktails and wings inside of a hotel, but you truly never know…read more Let's start with the cocktails; they are KILLING it. The menu has a ton of really detailed options, each drink with its own depth. The menu changes seasonally but what doesn't change is the smoked old fashioned - a must-order. They smoke your drink in a glass container using applewood chips; it's quite a show and it also does make the drink much more enjoyable. Ask the bartender and they can also help guide you to a drink - I've done it a couple of times and always pleasantly surprised. Next up, the food! The hummus was very flavorful and paired with an amazing fluffy pita bread. The truffle fries were solid but the plate was HUGE, definitely needs a friend to share. The Nashville wings are the star of the show. I cannot stress this enough, this is worth a DRIVE for. The seasoning really does remind you of Howlin' Rays (the highest compliment) and the chicken is extremely crispy yet insanely juicy. The pickles and ranch that it comes with pairs so well. Do note that they are tossing it in pork fat, which enhances the depth but also makes it a little greasy at the end. I also wished they'd warn you this and offer to order it without it; especially for those who don't eat pork or for those trying to cut some calories. There's a happy hour menu too!!! So you can get drinks and food even cheaper. I cannot stop thinking about this place. It's such a sleeper. Head to Midnight Oil after a visit to continue your night.

He went into the kitchen for fresh berries, muddled them with Tito's and soda, and made a genuinely refreshing summertime drink that helped with the heat...! I eventually ordered the Crispy Shrimp & Calamari to eat as my main (I was dining alone). I had recently had a very notable version of the same dish at a Canopy by Hilton in Washington DC, and unfortunately, this one did not measure up. The breading was average and the sweet chili aioli was poor. I asked for ranch instead, which was an improvement but still not great. The portion itself was fine. Service was solid and friendly! I'd rate the staff around a 4. Based on the food I had, the kitchen lands closer to a 2.5 to 3. Fine if you're already in the hotel and want something casual, but not an amazing choice for the fried seafood.

I'll start this off with. The exterior is beautiful. It's a…read morereally nice looking place. Upon walking in we were greeted immediately. Confirmed our reservations. It was a party of 4 adults and 1 child. We orders the salmon, ravioli, steak, meatballs and fettuccini Alfredo do with chicken. Salmon. This was basically the star of the show. Display was good. Cooked correctly and not overdone. However... I can't say the same for the rest. Let's move on. Ravioli. Far too rich in flavor. Because... it's hiding something. Restaurants get by thinking they can get away with shortcuts. Until they meet yelpers, food critics and chefs like myself. This ravioli IS made in house yes. However once made it's obvious it's frozen and re heated. Such a shame. Because I can guarantee you if it was fresh? Probably some of the best ravioli you'd ever have. Steak. Asked for medium rare. It came out like beef jerky. Burned and overcooked beyond edible. We told our server and they made another. The next one brought was spot on, medium rare. However lacking seasoning. This was the food our child had. And he's use to good steak. Nobu, Flemings etc. he was not happy with the lack of seasoning. Meatballs. Well you can't screw that up right? Wrong. Again previously froze. Now I'm sure they make the meat mixture in house. I'll give them that. But why are you guys freezing and re hearing? Fettuccini Alfredo with chicken. An American Italian staple. Pasta was actually cooked perfectly. I'll give them That. Pasta itself tastes it was made in house. However the chicken, overcooked, under seasoned again. Alfredo sauce WAY too rich again. The manager actually came over eventually. Asked how it was. I told her about the overcooked steak and the frozen ravioli/meatballs. She didn't even deny anything and said ok. Took the steak off the bill. It upsets me that this beautiful exterior and interior restaurant is like this. And the staff was pretty solid in the front of the house. However the food is severely lacking. I have this place a 3 star based upon the cleanliness, staff and exterior/interior. I wouldn't return for the food. Only for the ambience.

So this is a review that's been a *long* time coming (I've just been chronically overwhelmed for an…read moreequally long time.) I haven't been here often, but I *was* here right around when they opened, wherein I determined that the food ranged from quality but a bit overpriced, to just overpriced, a feeling I would still hold, generally speaking. Great vibe, solid service, but maybe a little pretentiously priced (and/or it's just stupid expensive to run a restaurant in this area, granted.) And with *super* pretentiously-priced cocktails, for how relatively simple they mostly are (if I'm gonna spend $18+ plus tip on a drink, I expect Baby Gee-level cocktails.) They also had an impressive wall of craft beer on tap, but also a bit pricey, especially compared to places not on 2nd street, so there was never a particular *draw*. But then I never actually finished reviewing it, because I'm super behind. Anyway, then also not particularly recently, they launched a happy hour, which at the time, especially for this particular part of Long Beach, was pretty stupidly good, with $5 decent sized smashburgers (6 with cheese, 10 with cheese and also fries), as well as $5 craft beer, pretty much all of them, including the fancy, exciting stuff (exciting if you're a nerd like me, the barrel aged stuff, for instance). They also had one specific half hour at the time, which I'd like to immortalize as a super fun idea, where one specific cheap but craft beer was some stupid price, I think like a dollar, but since they had a whole wall of rotating craft beer, a *different* specific cheap craft beer any given day. That's not relevant at all to my current review, but it was fun. Anyway, I still didn't write a review like a year ago when I took advantage of that happy hour, though I did take advantage of it a solid couple of times. Skip forward again to just a few weeks ago, I happened to be attending an event in the general area again, an event that was going to involve more alcohol than food and for which having a happy-hour-timed dinner in the area was going to be useful, so I figured I'd check out whether the happy hour was still there, and it was. At least as of a few weeks ago, the happy hour (3-6 weekdays) was still a thing, and it had gone up a whopping 55 cents per item. Ends up being effectively ~$17 plus tip for a quality smashburger, quality fries and a craft beer, though they didn't have as *many* of the fancy (barrel-aged or equivalent) stuff as they had the first time, they did still have some, and it was still $5.55 for any beer on draft they had. So happy hour wise, that's a pretty good price for this part of the country, I'd say. Obviously only since the burgers and fries *are* also absolutely quality burgers and fries. Not quite as wonderful as my gold standard smashburger at The Stache, perhaps, but still a great smashburger. My opinion on spending almost 20 bucks for what is effectively still just an old fashioned, hasn't changed, though. :p

I am so happy that I finally did as the service and food was amazing! Our server Johnny was super cool and personable! All of the staff was amazing, actually, as we had various servers check up on us during our meal. I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon & requested it crispy. It came with this potato latke and it was the most delicious latke I have ever had! Super crispy on the outside and moist on the inside and flavorful (I could have eaten another...or two..or three LOL). My burrito was tasty as well and I really enjoyed it. My BFF ordered the "hangover special" which I believe was an over easy egg over chicken fried steak and a latke as well. We dined in around 12:30pm and both meals kept us full the entire day! The place was busy but still plenty of tables available (they make the most of their room and the dining area is bigger than you'd expect). As I mentioned in my first paragraph, I am not a big breakfast person as I feel breakfast foods are so easy to make as well as I'd rather spend the same amount of money as you'd spend on breakfast on lunch or dinner instead; however, the food was amazing here and has that little "extra" uniqueness to their dishes that didn't make me feel like I was eating just plain 'ol breakfast food! Will definitely be in my rotation of local restaurants that I patronize!

Well... sometimes it's unavoidable and I can happily say that the Enclave at the Long Beach Hilton is a solid and consistent pick. I ordered the enclave burger which was listed as being a 50/50 mix of beef short rib and brisket - which sounded amazing. Overall, a solid (and very filling) burger that was also impressive to look at. IMHO, this would have been better if the meat had been seasoned and the "Killer Sauce" had been more killer. Overall, these issues made the burger somewhat bland and in need of a little ketchup to make the flavors pop. It was good, though - just not realizing its full burger potential. The fries were great. Crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside with a perfect amount of sea salt. No ketchup required for those. We ate at the lobby bar and service was initially fast and responsive but shortly after we arrived, the only server working became very overwhelmed by a flood of hungry people. Definitely not her fault. If I have to eat at my hotel, the Enclave is at least a solid pick that I know I will not regret.
