The service was good, it was pretty empty but at first it seems like you're going to get good Mexican food with some good margaritas or cocktails. It was very plain flavor food. Even the guacamole has no lemon, spices, or salt. The chips were crunchy and good but had no salsa that went well with it. The resturant might need new recipes or a new chef. No cocktails and margaritas could be better

Came on LB grand prix weekend and it was surprisingly not too busy. No wait to be seated and food came out in a good amount of time. Our service was friendly and attentive. Guacamole was delicious I definitely recommend, as well as their shrimp tacos. Outdoor (patio) and indoor seating was available, and place looked clean. Perfect sport for a casual dinner or lunch for some good food!

Outside dining with a view of the harbor and boats.

Tequila Jacks is a lovely place to go for lunch or dinner. Just being located at Shoreline Village in Long Beach is a plus. Indoor or outdoor dining is great. The food is good and plentiful. I couldn't believe how much chicken was in my enchilada, tamale and taco. The ambiance is great and the customer service is great. There is plenty of parking available. Enjoy shopping at the specialty shops after your good meal.

Happy hour prices + view of the marina are fantastic. We've only gone during happy hour because we just love the outdoor patio & the prices. No wait at 5pm on a Thursday. Patio: covered on top with heaters. They pull down additional side covers along the patio when it's super windy, so sitting outside is still very comfortable no matter the weather. Inside: dim and moody lighting. Food: 4 fish tacos, chips/salsa (so fresh & crispy), taquitos, pulled pork sliders (skip), michelada and marg for $40. Service: good. Food comes out fast. Definitely recommend for casual fare with great views!

Went on a Saturday afternoon and there was no wait, with plenty of seating available both indoors and outdoors. The menu offers a wide variety of drinks and dishes. It leans heavily toward Mexican food but also includes some American options like burgers and buffalo wings. I ordered a combination plate, which comes with 2-3 items of your choice, rice and beans, and Mexican corn pudding. I chose the pork tamales and taquitos. The pork tamales were pretty good, but the taquitos were bland and I didn't end up finishing them. The sides were decent overall, and the Mexican corn pudding was my favorite part of the meal. We also got unlimited chips and dip, which was a nice bonus. For drinks, I ordered the "Scooby Snack," a cocktail made with rum, melon liqueur, pineapple juice, and whipped cream. It came in a huge cup and was a great value for the price. It tasted good too. Overall, it's a solid spot for food and drinks, and they even offer happy hour, which makes it worth checking out.

I'm sorry to give a poor review because tequila Jack's has often been a nice standby when I am in Long Beach. The location is excellent as it is right on Shoreline Drive in the middle of the village. You can sit outside and have a view of the water, which is always delightful. I believe most people come here because of the location and not necessarily the food and drinks. But I make it a habit to go on Tuesdays because they have an excellent deal on taco Tuesdays. Tacos are only $1.50, an excellent deal. In the past, I have had delicious vegetarian tacos. I was a little disappointed when I saw that those were no longer on the menu. I ordered the fish tacos, and I must say I was disappointed. The quality seemed to be much worse than what I remembered in the past. You might be thinking that should be expected for the price and you might be right. The service was very poor. I could never find my server and after an extended period of trying to catch anyone's eye, I chose to walk up to the hostess and ask them to send over my server. In fairness to them, it was an extremely busy evening . It was taco Tuesday after all. But I do not think I will be returning anytime soon after my experience yesterday.

I haven't ever been to the area. So I checked out reviews for the restaurants. I narrowed it down to the fancy seafood restaurant, Yard House or TJ's. Walking by Tequila Jack's, the outdoor space looked great and the menu pricing wasn't bad either. The service was great. Our server was attentive without being overwhelming. Drinks & chips stayed full. Wait time for our entrees weren't bad either. The food tasted amazing! Based on reviews I thought it could be hit or miss. But we all enjoyed our meals. Husband got the carnitas plate. He really liked it. MIL got the chili verde. She commented on the house made tortillas several times. I got the 2 enchilada plate - Rojo cheese & verde chicken. Both tasted so good! One kid got the asada burrito and actually at 2/3rds of it. The other kid got to kids chicken tenders plate. It was a lot of food: 2-3 chicken strips, fries, 2 pieces of cantaloupe, and a small churro. The chips were delicious! The salsa had. Ore of a kick than I thought it would going off of looks. The guac is delicious was well. The added veg made it super fresh. It was all very good. I would definitely go back.

I thought my wallet was gone forever after Taco Tuesday three weeks ago--until Erica, the manager, mailed me an actual letter letting me know they had it. HUGE shout-out to her and the honest busser who turned it in! And while you're there, don't miss their incredible $1.50 tacos from 3 p.m. to close--it's unheard of these days! Plus, happy hour has some amazing margaritas. Tequila Jack's is now my go-to spot for the food, the vibe, and the integrity!

This is the beef quesadilla which. It was good but greasy.

The ambiance was good but the service was bad. I had the Strawberry Margarita which I felt was not made without the heart. We were not hungry then so I ordered the beef quesadilla which was good cost about $18.00 plus's 2 drinks and had a cupcake for my friend's birthday was nice but the bill total was $88.25. That is too pricey . If you don't mind over spending but got so disappointed in the service. I do not recommend this place of business. Happy New Year! Kindness forward one person at a time.

My sis was in town on business so I thought we'd stop in here across from her hotel for a late night taco run and drinks. We were seated fairly quickly and was served by Jose. He made sure to make us feel comfortable and he was very helpful in accommodating us with our order. For a Tuesday night, the place had a good amount of guests. The mood inside was very cozy and moody with the low lighting and listening to the buzz of people enjoying their night out. It was such a good place to stop especially with the amount of options Long Beach has to offer, this was the perfect choice. I dont find myself in Long Beach much but would definitely come back here again. Thank u Tequila Jack!

Gotta love the chips

The service was good. Had to look for the waiter for a few times. The mango margarita was just okay. After a few minutes the drink was too watery. The restaurant was busy and definitely can accommodate large parties. The restaurant does validate. After your meal you can walk around and admire the view.

I like this place, very nice energy, it gets busy everyday, good food but the service needs improving becoz other serves doesn't look to happy to be there, we order drinks and she didn't bring all of the drinks at once and we have to wait for water until our food arrives, over all I would rate this place 7 out of 10. Come check it out ok.

It's normally taco Tuesday or dinner. It wasn't busy when we arrived. Mainly everyone was seated outside which we wanted a table as well. It could be that they were short staff but it seemed like there was only one person working. It took a while for someone to finally come back and acknowledge us and take our order. After that the chips and salsa were brought out. Once we ordered the drinks it was easier to place everything together. Menu for happy hour is pretty limited. A few drinks and beer on drafts and for food, maybe 6 items on the menu. Went with an order of the street corn which was quite tasty. An order of the mole chicken nachos and the queso dip with barria. Out of the three, the queso dips and the street corn were great. Nachos were good but nothing really major. It's easily one of my favorite parts of going to a Mexican restaurant, and they definitely deliver there. Their cocktails continue to be consistently delicious. My absolute favorite is the cucumber jalapeño margarita, refreshing with just the right kick. They never miss on the drinks. As for the food, I've had their enchiladas and tacos before. This last time I ordered the blackened shrimp tacos. When I hear "blackened," I expect bold seasoning and flavor. That's not what I got. They were pretty basic and underwhelming for the price. Two tacos for $17, plus an additional $5 per shrimp taco? That felt excessive for what was served. Service was okay. Nothing special, nothing terrible. Now, the location? You can't beat it.
