Was meeting some friend for brunch, and had never been to Tantalum. Vibe looked great in photos, so made a reservation and to Long Beach we went! Walking in to the restaurant, just a great marina/tropical/tiki style vibe, which continues into the restaurant with views of the marina. Started with drinks in which we grabbed a couple cocktails asking with a bottle of champagne to make mimosas. Fit cocktails, the Tahitian Sunset is very flavorful but not on the alcohol level. The Asian Pear is strong, very spirit forward but you get that forgot of pear. The Bali Dream gives you a hint of banana and coconut while the Mai Tai was very good. For food, we started with the beef & chips and the calamari. The calamari comes glazed topped with sesame seeds and toasted cashews. Very good. The beef and chips is short rib sitting on a bed of duck fat fries with a white truffle cheddar sauce. You can never go wrong with duck fat fries and the short rib was cooked well. For entrees, we tried a few items. The scallops were decent though they did seen slightly overcooked. The Ulu Watu is udon noodles with sliced filet. Meat was cooked well but it felt like something was missing with the dish to really bring it all together. The bearded sorry rub was cooked well and it comes with two eggs cooked the style of your coffee. The Kobe brunch Burger is loaded with apple bacon, avocado, egg, fontina cheese and garlic aioli. You really get a taste of everything in each bite and it comes together perfectly. Overall, a restaurant with great vibes, solid cocktails and quality food. If you're on the area for brunch or lunch, probably even dinner, and want something with ambiance, so by Tantalum

The setting is beautiful, it's right on the water she gives amazing sunset views! The decor is also very nice and inviting. The employees were all very nice and helpful. The happy hour menu was pretty good, the drinks were refreshing, the food was kinda just ok, nothing incredible but you're coming for the atmosphere and that delivered

I've been noticing this restaurant tucked away in the corner and decided to give it a try. The ambience in the dining area leading out to outside seating is aesthetically pleasing. we were seated immediately. Our waitress came up right away and we placed our orders. I'll do a fancy Cadillac margarita which I forgot to take pictures of however, it was not it as I watched them make our drinks. It seemed like it was more sweet and sour than the actual contents of the drink itself however, once the waitress knew that I wasn't a big fan of the drink, she opted to correct immediately. Proportion are slightly on the smaller side and you're better off starting with appetizers because once your main course arrives, you will still find yourself hungry the steak salmon the mashed potatoes and asparagus was pretty good unfortunately they are unable to add chives and shredded cheese to the mashed potatoes. However, you just make it work with what they have. Right around six.. I could be wrong.. a 3 person band showed up and was singing different melodies so that was quite nice to add to the picturesque environment.

Tantalum is a place to go with friends or a date! We sat at the bar because there's a beautiful view! It was Cinco de Mayo and taco Tuesday! I ordered the short rib tacos, which were mouthwatering delicious! The best part was they were three for $10! I ordered a strawberry virgin Mojito, which was perfect! The bartender asked if I was celebrating anything and I told him I was celebrating my birthday! A lot of their desserts were full of gluten so he brought me fruit with vanilla ice cream! I can't wait to go back!

So it's my mom's favorite restaurant (she loves the mai tai & the steak with mushrooms and mashers). She wanted to celebrate her bday and have a dinner here with about 20-25 people. Making reservations was easier via email (found on the website). Theres a couple of managers or event personnel who help with that (Bri & Paige). Both are capable and have the know how. (The restaurant does require a deposit depending on menu & guest amount) I feel like they should have options to sit outside with guests for a party ** and also have multiple waiters or the restaurants BEST available waiter who has curtesy , patience and respect for guests. We got Dan (curly dark hair and glasses). (-2 stars ) I'm not sure how or if he greeted the previous guests but her was very impolite and worried about a separate table which I made sure to clear up with the hostess BEFORE I came to sit down. He made sure to say "we will still be seating people here, just so you know" - no "hi, hello" or "can I get you water?" Didn't like that. At all. I feel like that was him taking advantage of the included gratuity. The ambiance was less impressive than I thought. It being in the same parking lot with Ralph's which kinda says enough for the prices not to be so high. The food was okay. Soo many flavors in one dish and 1st bite was a bit overwhelming for me. (Miso mahi mahi) Also had a margarita & the drinks r strong so that's great. I've heard they also have a live band & they had a live DJ on Saturday. Will I be back? It's doubtful. Also parking lot fills up fast. And no valet

If you're looking for an aesthetic place to have brunch or dinner, Tantalum is the place to go!! They have perfect views of the marina and unique asian fusion food to go with it. I got the beef and chips for a "tantalizer" to start off the meal. The chips aka fries had the perfect crisp and the short ribs were super tender. For my entree I got the seared ahi. The pineapple relish paired perfectly with the yummy ahi. Service was quick too! Overall, I'd come back but mainly for the VIEWS.

My 2026 review. Went here for Valentines day. Just wanted drinks and appetizers. Open bar seating available. Sat at a table viewing the sunset. Stayed in the same spot for 3 hours. A surprised band showed up. I was impressed. They sounded very good. The ambiance was very nice. We spent the entire evening Munching on appetizers and drinking alcoholic beverages while grooving to some soul music. Overall, good place to hang out. Plenty of parking and clean restrooms. Friendly workers. Our waitress Lea that night was a hit and miss. She would take your order and disappear a long time. I understand its Valentines day but come on now, please check up on your guest. :) Once we saw her, we would have to flag her down to get more alcoholic beverages. Inconsistent service from her part. The Band Was the entire experience. Free show and drinks. My wife received a valentines card with a free rose, courtesy of Tanalum! Can't ask for anything more. Kudos !!

I ordered brisket sliders and fries. My sister ordered brisket. The the waitress was outstanding very patient understanding of my sister's allergies and checked on us regularly to make sure everything was OK. The atmosphere was peaceful, elegant and vibrant The parking lot is huge.

Came here for my birthday and wanted to try something different, so we picked this Asian fusion spot. The atmosphere is definitely the highlight; right by the water with stunning sunset views that make the whole experience feel special and aesthetic. The food and drinks were okay, not bad but nothing particularly memorable. Service was good and the staff took care of us throughout the visit, which I appreciated. I'd still recommend coming by, especially around sunset for the vibe alone;but overall, it didn't quite stand out enough for me to return. VERDICT: I WILL NOT COME BACK

This spot is ok and by the water. It has some nice views. We just had some drinks and appetizers and they were ok. When you first walk the jungle ambiance theme is cool although it does smell a little musty next to the waterfall at the front.

It's been a while since I've been here, and it's still such a great dinner spot. I think I've been a customer for at least 10 years. We arrived for an early sunset dinner and waited about 15 minutes for a table. We were seated outside facing the marina as requested, which was perfect. We ordered a few appetizers to share along with a cucumber drink with crushed, muddled pineapple and vodka. The food was so good and there was plenty to share. The tuna tartare was perfection, especially with the crispy wonton chips. The Kobe sliders were juicy and delicious, and the chicken wraps were another home run. Service was quick without making us feel rushed. I also appreciated the nice touch of who I believe was the manager stopping by our table to check on us. He asked how everything was, if we needed anything, and even had a little conversation with us about how beautiful and tranquil the evening was. Outside was quiet, relaxing, and felt intimate. Inside was fun and lively with bartenders shaking drinks, music playing, and people chatting away. Definitely give it a try. it's a great restaurant with beautiful decor and high-quality food.

Ahhh!!! This place is amazing especially in December! We had dinner outside and loved watching all the lit up and decorated boats pass by. It was only a little chilly out but they had plenty of heaters to keep you nice and warm. Service was great with the wait staff coming by every few passes to make sure that we were doing ok. The folks that night did a great job attending to all their tables. They also didn't let a table go with having too many empty plates. We had the calamari appetizer, steak, ahi tuna dish, and the pavlova! The calamari was certainly enough to fill you up but of course we had to keep going. The fish was super fresh and the sauce was amazing. This one I couldn't finish especially because I wanted to save room for the pavlova. 10/10 would recommend the pavlova. After hearing about it so much in Bluey and then seeing it on the menu, I absolutely HAD TO HAVE IT!!! AND IT DEFINITELY DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Be sure to get the pavlova!!!

It wasn't even close to full. They're clearly holding people outside on purpose to create fake hype, which is honestly pretty messed up. You're telling me dozens of people are stuck waiting forever while there's plenty of room inside? It's giving manufactured crowd and poor management. To make it worse, they stopped serving drinks and turned the lights on at 1:15 AM, way earlier than literally any normal bar. So after wasting hours in line, you barely even get time inside. And it somehow gets worse -- at 1:35 AM they were literally kicking people out of the restroom. We weren't even allowed to finish or wash our hands before being rushed out. That's not just rude, it's straight up unhygienic and disrespectful. Overall, completely overhyped, disorganized, and not worth the wait at all. Don't fall for the line -- it's fake.

And this one time I was there alone with another, no other patrons just staff members walking around from time to time. We stole the moment to dance under the Long Beach sky, just the two of us as a famous Christina Perrio song gently wafted in the night breeze. At another separate time, I was at the Los Angeles County Fair with another. We rode the ferris wheel at such a time where our gondola stopped at the top just as the sun set. The moment was nothing but beautiful and life affirming because the sinking of the sun's light was like a real life video of nature happening in front of us, unburdened by static or data stall. We witnessed nature resting, and I feel, that it was a kin to a beauty falling into a gentle sleep. These two instances have a common factor: momentary bliss arrived to bless an experience because the environment supported discovery of unplanned joy. That is what I associate with the Wicked Wolf, and this time the joy arrived eventually because when my Mom and I arrived to their high tea on Mother's Day the experienced seem like it would land nowhere good. Truth be told, my mom and I arrived 15 minutes early and there was no host in the stand and the place was empty except for a foursome. The energy felt lacked luster. One or two minutes after, the bartender informed us that we were early and the host would come soon. We sat in an available sofa for two, a loveseat persay. This gave us an opportunity to admire the decor that transported us to a storybook forest where good fairies reside, not like swamp creatures and trolls with malevolent fangs and dragon green eyes. I especially loved the large roses in the ceiling. To set the stage, the black ceiling had vines hanging from it, and the few roses were pops of crimson red displayed above. These were wonderful accents to the central mural of the joint that invited the viewer within deeper into the fairy forest where a light shone on an unseen meadow. The place had the decorations and general environment to be a lavender fairy's lounge, but, it did not fully work as a team room. For instance, my mom and I were sat in another lover's couch. Initially, I did not want to sit here because we were given circular tray sets. So imagine being told to sit in a couch, and each of us would get a tv tray. So I was left to wonder if we were going to be served tea in Belle's living room or if were going to watch a flick as we ate pollo loco bowl? But then as I settled into the tranquility of the moment, saw more people come and find their seat or couch, and as the serviced picked-up I realized that this was high tea in a place that had taken disjointed beauty and tackied it together for a patched tea experience that worked well. It was like the experienced was blessed and allowed by the same spirit that brought forth Raggedy Ann. For instance, the pictures show these pretty violet petaled tea cups and matching plates. This pairing was dainty and perfect for a tea party happening under pink veils. But then the sugar cubes came in a hedgehog shaped holder which was just as precious as seeing a piglet in a carriage built for one. Then the cream carrier was in the shape of a milk carton. I wondered where the missing child portrait was? The pastry plate was in the shape of a tropical flower like the ones scattered all over Hawaii. It belonged in a beautiful lei. Each of these elements was cute in its own delicate and whimsical way but together they made an eclectic hodgepodge, not a coherent tea set. And in this asymmetry laid the glitter of their error. The host also brought these clip on dainty hats that were perfect touches for make believe tea party. He carried them around in their original packing, including the box they came in. Not exactly the tailor of the queen, offering hats to the villagers as a gift from her to them, but still the effort magnified the moment. The tea food was the worst stumble that Red took as she was being chased by the Wicked Wolf. To begin with the end analysis, the tea offerings in general were standard, and not bites fit for a princess and her wedding court. For instance, the cream cheese and cucumber sandwich was just that---- a cucumber and cream cheese sandwich. I detected no effort to make it more than that. The blueberry scone was solid, nothing to skip through a meadow about. But once you added the jam of the table to the scone it was much easier to enjoy. I also had a madeline that was fluffy in the center but could have been purchased maybe at Costco. I had a Macaron and same thing, delicious but I have had something similar before and I suspected that it did not come from a place afloat with Parisian affairs. The best part of the tiers was this puff like thing that had like a Concha texture and design at the top. It was a sweet filled bite that was fit for a man made of muffin.

But sadly my mom could not hear us, due to the music being so loud, we did ask twice if they would turn it down a little to no avail. That is too much money to spend, to not be able to hear each other. We had to hurry out because she was getting frustrated.

Had such a great evening at this establishment tonight. It was my sister's first time visiting and…read morethey loved it. The view of the sand, rocks, beach, and sunset made the ambience really special and created the perfect beachside atmosphere. I ordered the Wild Atlantic salmon and an espresso martini and both were excellent. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the espresso martini was one of the best I've had. Brian was our bartender and the service really stood out. Drinks were deliciously made, the energy at the bar was fun and welcoming. He made sure everything was very well taken care of throughout the night. Between the food, service, beautiful views, and the fact that it's pet friendly, it made for such a nice experience. Definitely recommend sitting at the Sand Bar and asking for Brian for those amazing drinks and great recommendations!!

Open until 10 pm. NOPE. NOT TODAY. NO NOTICE BUT THEY CLOSED @ 4pm. Really disappointed. We pulled…read moreinto the parking lot at 405 pm Thursday April 23. It was a beautiful warm Spring day (73 degrees) and we were excited to eat with the great ocean view from The Beach House Seal Beach. Paid for 2 hours of parking and walked over to the restaurant. It was only when we entered the gate where the hostess is that we saw a small sign that said, "Closed." WAIT WHAT???? No indication in the parking lot, no sign at the sidewalk, no sign walking down the walk way. The ONLY notice was buried around a corner saying Closed. We were told they were short staffed and had to close early, sorry. As we walked back to the car, we stopped at least 4 other cars and told them the restaurant was closed. We were able to alert them so they did not pay for parking at a CLOSED restaurant. It felt like the restaurant had NO consideration for the customers. To have NO sign anywhere near where customers would be parking to notify us of a totally unexpected, unanticipated, highly unusual CLOSING at 4 pm for a restaurant that was supposed to be open until 10 pm!!!!! So I called from my car in the parking lot and asked to speak to the manager. When the manager got on he explained that they were short staffed and had to close early. I discussed the lack of notice to customers and how we paid for 2 hours of beach parking. Manager was nice and polite and totally unresponsive to the fact we paid money to visit his restaurant and now had no where to eat and were out the parking fees. I recommended they post a notice where customers could see they were closed BEFORE we paid for our parking. He said they would do it after they finished closing out. I insisted it was only fair that they notified their customers FIRST. So, as we were leaving we saw an employee come out and post a sign. I took a photo because no one would believe how inadequate their posting was if I just described it. The sign is micro small. You can see our car at the bottom of the photo. Would you notice this CLOSED sign? Come on Beach House. We know you can do better for your customers.
