We came here for brunch on a Saturday without a reservation and luckily we were sat right away with a nice view of the marina. Everything is so cute and pink, definitely a lot of photo ops! Since it was brunch the menu was limited. I had the pink chicken and waffles and my hubby got the monte cristo sandwich. Food was just ok, and pretty expensive. The drinks were good and strong. The decor, ambiance, and overall aesthetic are what really stand out. We brought our two kids ages 4 and 5. Our server Stephanie was so sweet and kind to our kids, and she made us feel very welcomed. She offered us off menu food items for the kids. The manger also made his rounds and checked in on us as well. I really wanted to give this place five stars. The food was excellent, and the restaurant itself is unique with a fantastic atmosphere. The host and management were welcoming, personable, and made a great first impression. Unfortunately, the service kept this from being a five-star experience. It took about 20 minutes to receive our first round of drinks, and nearly 25 minutes passed before our waiter checked back in. Since we hadn't seen him, I asked the hostess if she could send him over so we could order appetizers. When he arrived, the interaction became unexpectedly confrontational. My wife had simply asked if we could wait to order our entrées until after the appetizers arrived because we were concerned everything would come out at once. Instead of acknowledging the request, he told us he'd been doing this for 20 years and knew what he was doing. After that, we were uncomfortable asking for anything else--even refills on water or iced tea--because we didn't want another negative interaction. To be clear, we left on good terms, and I don't enjoy leaving critical reviews. If you look through my other reviews, you'll see I usually give five stars and rarely rate a place lower. That's why I felt it was important to share this experience. This restaurant has so much potential. The food, atmosphere, and concept are all outstanding. I can't believe this place has been sitting right here and I never knew about it. From the second you walk the red carpet into the restaurant you feel like you're somewhere special. The waterfront views are beautiful and every little detail has been thought out. As a mermaid lover I was obsessed with the seashell chairs at the back bar. My daughter and I did the Dine and Dock experience and it ended up being one of our favorite girls' days. I had the salmon and the glittery pink deviled eggs. They were almost too pretty to eat and everything tasted just as good as it looked. The cocktails were so fun and honestly every one I tried was delicious. Our server was amazing and management stopped by to check on us, which I always appreciate. The chef even came out and told us the story behind Nigel's famous chicken piccata family recipe. I love little personal touches like that. After dinner we went out on the pink Duffy boat. Having a captain was the best because we could just relax and enjoy the ride. We even saw jellyfish. We added the charcuterie board and decorations and the boat looked so cute when we got there. We had such a great time and made so many fun memories. I was in the other night for a dear friend's birthday, and we had the best time! The food was pretty good, but this rating is primarily for service. We had the most delightful server, Adeli. She was knowledgeable, patient, personable, and her smile lit up the entire restaurant. What a joy Adeli was! I also want to give big love to the aesthetics and the views. Nigel's on the Waterfront exceeded every expectation! From the moment we walked in, every detail felt thoughtful and intentional. The décor is absolutely stunning - far more than just pretty in pink. The playful wallpaper, drink and dinnerware, and Art Deco-inspired touches create a fun, sophisticated atmosphere that's unlike anywhere else. The waterfront setting makes it even more beautiful!! The food and cocktails were both delicious, and everything we ordered was fresh and full of flavor. I loved the Hot Girl Spicy Tuna Bowl, and the Flamingo Beet Hummus. Our group agreed the calamari was some of the best we've ever had! What truly made the experience exceptional was the service. My friend had a burger she said it was pretty good, cooked as order, no complaints and ohhhh yeah I ordered fries, those were bomb with the cheese on top! For drinks I went with one from the mocktail list and added alcohol(bacardi), watermelon mojito which was excellent not too sweet and friend had passion tini, she liked as well. Let me start by saying YES the decor is pink, green and gold and beautiful. LOTS of photo opp locations. Now, let's get into the food. It's all AMAZING. The hype isn't just for the decor. It's beautiful and the food is tasty. I literally can't wait to go back next week with my friends. The staff went out of their way, or maybe it is their way. So much fun! Lively atmosphere and great decor greet guests as soon as they walk in. Perfect place for Instagram worthy pictures. The food was tasty and and fun--unique in that many of the dishes were pink! I feel as if it would be impossible to be in a bad mood at Nigel's. The waterfront dining experience from just about every table was nice, too, especially on such a hot day! After lunch, we took the Duffy boat as part of the overall experience. We went to Nigel's waterfront restaurant a couple of weeks ago on Friday night. As soon as we walked in, we were ouuuuuuing and in awe. Everything was pink and fabulous. Lots of spaces where you could take pictures and put them on Instagram. There were large groups of young women, lots of parties and people that just wanted to have a grand time. There was five of us in our group. When our waiter came to great us, he had so much energy I knew we were going to have soooooo much fun. This restaurant sits right on the water and is Lovely. There's underground parking and also outside parking. The food was very good. I especially like the little bistro chop salad. This place is such a vibe! It was a bit noisy but my friends and I had a really good time. It's a little warm for the tables away from the open doors so I do recommend choosing one of the tables near the open air. Luckily we were able to switch tables. All of the staff were very friendly. The food was delicious. You know it's good when you order a well done steak and it's still tender and juicy. I honestly think the prices are about average. I would have given this place four stars, but I have to say the service was very slow. At first, the waitress was very sweet and quick to bring our food. I did ask for a cup of ice, but she forgot. There was a moment where we noticed. She didn't come back for 20 minutes. I had to go to the bar and order the dessert. She did come back and say the manager forgot to tell someone to check on our table. I just think for a fun high class place. The service should have been a lot better! The salad I ordered was delicious and had the most perfect flavor! The steak melted in my mouth and the dressing was perfect! The crème brûlée I ordered came out cold. I would think crème brûlée should be warm. The best part was the birthday vanilla ice cream with marshmallows and toffee and chocolate! Nigel's has the best photo ops! The beauty of pink can be felt at this place that is easy to feel. That is why it is not a stretch to call this place the house that Beach Barbie built. But more than that this place takes the feeling of pretty in pink and extends it to fantasy in pink accentuated with water strolls on Duffys and an atmosphere that is both delicate and fearless in the many shades that fit under the umbrella of the word pink, like Salmon, Rose, Fuschia and depending on who you ask magenta. I had a great experienec when I had lunch there. It is too easy of a pull to say that I was tickled pink by the luncheon so I will reach for a more ambitious claim and say that this place deserves miss Woods, Elle if it were ever to have any type of legal woe. Any other lawyer would break the spell that this place establishes so well. When one arrives at the parking lot, one sees a gym, a movie theatre but no promise of a land that is pink. It was discouraging. I thought we had arrived at the wrong place. So we looked for our location, some hue of pink that signaled this way go. And then we saw the black circle above some stairs. The stairs led to the place. It was clear that beyond the pink motif, this place also is a beach's bums paradise. The bar stools had seashell back rests. The napkins had seahorse rings. One cannot help but imagine having an aquatic ring. But the seahorse napkin holder was fit for napkins not human fingers, go figure. And beyond the pink, and the beach foaminess, there was also a girly-coded feel to the place. That of course cannot be denied. But, to call this place a place for girl's, would be right but limiting. Like if this is a place only for girls, then a battlezone is only a place for men. Meaning that standards of the past can no longer define environments of modern-today. This place is for anyone who enjoys all this place has to offer, including books on Prada and Hermes and Paris. But I can definetely see how this place is an easy answer to where can we have a bachelorrete party for a girl who is classy and classically feminine and not a place for a bro-out after a victor in the basketball court. The food continued the glamorous feel. The burgers had glitter. We started with the chacuterrie and it was a strong showing of flavor, and engaging cuts of meat and cheese that were only made better by toasted bread and fig jam. I had the salmon tacos and they were hearty and filling and kind of an easy dish to like. They came with chips. The spinach dip came with parmeassan chips. The dip was creamy, rich and thick.I am not a fan of spinach dip, but here I enjoyed it, but it would not be the move next time, simply because good for something I usually just tolerate is not good enough to order again. It had to correct a long standing belief and this dip did not convert it but like I said it was solid. A dip lover would plotz. It was a special way of eating, delicate prepared food, with glitter atop pink plates. The pink promise never seized. Their pens were also pink and it read Nigels. I also want to stop and applaud the manager Bobby our server Dennis and the main chef who wore a pink chef jacket. They were attentive, like seriously, attentive, and they hovered just enough to make us feel like we never needed anything. We were taken care of well, and this kind of tender service is a kiss to my expectations that eases them into a soft delight. Then came the complimentary Duffy boat ride atop a pink boat. The breeze reduced the scorch of the day. The travel pace was slow. Another person put her music on, and it was modern hits. One of the first songs were Adriana. Me and my friends went here yesterday to celebrate our semester ending. We wanted to have a girls day and what a great way to start it with pink vibes and brunch with drinks. We picked this place since it's one of the brunch spots that are open after 2pm, since most of them closes at that time. The vibes were really nice, every staff are all welcoming as we were walking to our table. We did same day online reservation for 6 people at 1:30pm but we ended up coming at 2pm because of traffic. But they were still able to sit us right away since it was not busy at that moment. We ordered alcoholic drinks, appetizers and our entrees. We had the artichoke dip and calamari for appetizers both of those were really good. Then for my entree I had the truffle risoto as pictured. I was debating whether to get the chicken piccata but I tend to eat small portions so I chose the risoto. It was really good, I love truffles so those are a plus and I finished my whole plate of risoto. For the drinks, I don't really drink a lot and I'm a lightweight. As for my friends, they really like the dirty little secret drink. The one I got was no strings attached, this is coming from someone that doesn't drink a lot and is a lightweight. So I didn't really like it. It was too strong for me, they said it's supposed to be like a piña colada but all I tasted was alcohol. My other friend ordered it as well, she said it was strong as well, she did asked if she can get more of the juice to dilute it a bit. They did have a complimentary duffy boat ride they offered. They have it on Wednesdays-Fridays until 7pm, it's a 15-20minute ride and you can always come back to do it that day s long as you have the receipt from the restaurant. This is a really aesthetically pleasing restaurant. The boat we rented for the afternoon was also equally enjoyable. However, the entrance seating is a little awkward, which is where we were seated. The walkway between the entrance booths is very narrow and both customers and servers are having to dodge each other on the pathway. I had tried the pink lemon drop and just a glass of prosecco! The pink lemon drop was not sweet because I told them to not make it sweet. My friend and I ordered the fries and they were fresh and hot. The drinks and fries 4/5 for me. The service was 3/5 it took forever to get drinks over 30 minutes and I felt they should have accommodated us for the long wait times for the drinks. It's very chic inside and nice ambiance!! I was here over the weekend for a birthday dinner, and it was such a great experience! The theme throughout the entire restaurant is absolutely stunning, and the location is convenient with plenty of parking. I'd like to start by saying the service was excellent, and the restaurant was very clean. The food and drinks were definitely highlights, along with the beautiful pink décor throughout the restaurant. The salmon was cooked perfectly and paired with delicious jasmine rice and a fresh salad. The drinks were also fantastic--they were made strong enough to enjoy while still maintaining a great flavor. UGH, such a cute girls spot for photo-ops, bubbles and giggles. They offer a 15 min duffy boat ride after your meal too! Came here with a girlfriend for lunch and there were many cute group of teenaged girls celebrating their birthday, and why shouldn't they? The backdrops, pink furniture, outside cabanas and girly decor was to die for. It reminded me of the Beverly Hills Hotel vibe - pink and green. The staff were friendly as well! They shared items that were off the menu and gave great recs. We ordered the lobster roll (hot instead of cold) with a side of salad. I don't know if I was famished or if the food was that spectacular but I cleaned my plate. The lobster chunks were huge, great ratio of mayo and celery on a buttered toasted roll. The chopped salad was my favorite, not because it's moderation, but because it was fresh and light with a delicious vinaigrette, small chunks of cheese (was that cheddar or gouda?) and long strands of greens (was that kale?) that tied it all together very well. Most chopped salad elsewhere are meh (some chopped romaine with bacon, a few cherry tomatoes and a huge glob of ranch), but not here. I felt like having a good time so i ordered the Poison Ivy (not on the menu but recommended by staff since it's new). Think of a healthy green drink of celery, kale, ginger but with alcohol. First, I'm always very happy when parking is easy. Yay, for parking. We got there early so my son and I had an opportunity to check the docking area and the boats out. The boat rental and Nigel's share a check-in area. It seems like you can rent a boat for free if you have a reservation but I could be wrong as the person describing the rules for the boats was talking fast and I had no intentions of renting a boat so I probably didn't listen well. We had a Mother's Day brunch scheduled at 2:30 and we were let in right away, which was good. The place is lovely for you to take a lot of pictures so even if you had to wait, you can spend the time taking lovely photos. I love when you go to a buffet because you don't have to wait to order and wait to get your food so we immediately went to get some goodies. I especially enjoyed the Nigel's chopped salad, the prime rib, the Thai chicken lollipop that was with the coconut lime rice, and the avocado toast. Everything was pretty good, but those were my favorites. For a drink, I had the non-alcoholic lily's spritz which was very yummy. The guava in it made you feel extra special. Stephanie was AMAZING! She completely made our experience from start to finish. She was so bubbly, fun, attentive, and genuinely made us feel like we were her favorite table. I wasn't expecting to enjoy Nigel's as much as I did. What impressed me most wasn't the food (which was very good) or the fun atmosphere, it was the service. You can tell when a restaurant has great leadership because every single person you meet seems genuinely happy to be there. Manager Bobby has clearly built an outstanding team. From the moment Kharissa welcomed us with a smile, to our wonderful server Stephanie, who made great recommendations and made my friend Vanessa feel truly celebrated on her birthday, everyone made us feel like guests instead of customers. Jake happily answered my questions about my delicious Grand Ahi Tuna Salad, Azat captured some fantastic photos that we were happy to purchase, and Jordan quietly kept everything spotless without ever missing a beat. Every interaction felt warm, professional, and genuine. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with fun photo spots throughout, and it made for a memorable afternoon. Ironically, I was actually resistant to coming here. I'm really glad I was talked into it because Nigel's completely won me over. Nigel continues to disappoint. This time, a friend spilled her drink on my partner's pants by accident. The server saw, immediately said I'll bring you napkins!.... and never came with said napkins. I had to ask for that twice. Table was never cleared immediately or properly- we were eating dessert on a cluttered table littered with dirty tableware at the end of 3 hrs. Not very fine dining. Also, no one came to take our bday girl's husband's order for 30 minutes. We had to go inside to locate a server to place his food order. Overall, while we were satisfied with our food, it was certainly not exceptional. Just edible and fine. But i did expect this - this is an IG spot, not some bastion of gastronomy, so whatever. So far - food 3/5 (if you ask my friends it's 1/5) and service was 2/5. I wanna clarify: I did like our server. He was extremely nice and friendly and sassy in a fun way. But... the problem isnt with him, its with management and the business. They are absolutely understaffed. I saw this poor man out of breath and stressed out almost the whole night. Why did we have to ask for every little thing 10 times? Maybe because he is overworked!!! I don't blame him. I blame the greedy ownership. Hire more people!!! She proceeded to add that they had larger parties than us of 20 and 30+ people that night and they are all doing 20%. F1: okay good for them? But you market yourself as dog friendly and your cabanas are outdoors so how is this supposed to be some sort of gift we have received? And not to mention.... one of the two dogs is a service dog anyways? M: continues to gaslight and blame my friend instead of just admitting we had a piss poor experience overall, they could do better, theyre sorry and will hire more people. Nope. She just develops an antagonistic, not customer service like attitude, and gaslight us for not coming to her directly for every single problem. How is that to be expected? You're supposed to tell just your server and they should handle it! You only bring in a manager if something severe happens! In the end my friend gave up; the manager wasn't trying to even own up for all their mistakes starting from 4 weeks ago to an absolutely poor bday dinner. The manager reduced 50% on one single risotto (even though we ordered like 7 risottos and 6 of them were undercooked). My friend paid 15% tip instead and we left. Only to find out, the restaurant had mischarged us anyways! They actually charged us $58 for "milagro blanco" - which is a drink we never had! Crazy. So we ended up overpaying either way. We called back since to get this $58 refunded since it's not something we even ordered - and again - not a single live person to be reached. So disappointed. I wanted to like this place. It does have very pink and cute decor. But is the decor worth the drama? No. There's a million other pink places to visit. Go there instead. read more

Food was good Service was not... despite not being busy we waited 30 mins to be seated even though we had reservations at 7:30 and our waitress was amazing. Took 20 mins to get our food order but she was kind and quick once we got attended. It's beautiful inside that's what attracts people Lack of acknowledgment and waiters are the manager are not communicating with one another. Seems very scattered. I think the manager, he's tall and slim, not very friendly. I don't know how he's the manager. He got frustrated with my friend for not giving him the used plate right away. What a perfect place for a girls outing, with their floral and pink decor. The details go beyond the glass chandeliers and velvet tufted chairs, onto the seahorse napkin holders, pink themed drinks, and pink ceramic plates. It's right at the water so almost every booth table has a water view. Plus you can also take the Duffy boat out. Ambiance is a 9/10. The only reason why it's not a 10 is because some of the decor is now faded from the sun. Our server was amazing! I think her name is Fallon. Her friendly and welcoming energy was infectious. I was ready to tell her to join our table and have lunch with us instead. We had appetizers that were great, like the deviled eggs that were of course pink, and they were as good as it looked. The charcuterie board was mid and a bit underwhelming. The fries, were good, but it was a very small portion, especially for the price. I had the lobster grilled cheese and tomato bisque - a perfect pairing. I also appreciated that it came with a lot of lobster in the sandwich. The food, though mostly good, was just not that memorable. Another plus is there's plenty of parking, at the plaza or underground which is only steps away from the host stand. What an amazing experience. Such a vibe here. Enjoyed a Sunday brunch here for my wife's birthday. Was greeted by the manager who sat us and was very accommodating and friendly. Our server ,Phalon was very attentive and nice. Food was good. Had the Chilequiles, Breakfast Sando, Monte Christo, Breakfast bowl, and the Avocado tower. Everything was well seasoned , fresh, and tasted great. Restaurant was clean, staff was great and we were served quickly. Highly recommend. read more

Everything here was great! The ambience obvi but also our food server was so sweet, nice and attentive. The manager came by twice during our dining to check on us and ask how everything was. We were there for early dinner and drinks about 5pm and it was very hot outside so one of the employees moved an umbrella to give us extra shade. We sat in the restaurant at one of the round booths facing the water. It was hot and sunny so the umbrella was appreciated. Afterward dinner we were treated to a short shared Duffy boat ride that was really fun. A group of sweet younger girls that were on the boat with us offered to take our pics and some Polaroids which was so nice! Just a great overall vibe with cool women having fun. Such a lil gem of a place. I had my reservations but definitely came away delighted. Good food and amazing service are the culprits, and I could not be happier. We went here yesterday for my Mom's Birthday, and she loved every minute of it. From the pink decor to the Easter greeters, everything was wonderful. We also met the super talented violinist. I know she just started but I'm glad we were able to experience her talent. She's such a fantastic addition. We ended up ordering a few brunch dishes. Prices were decent. Think the only one we were surprised by was the the 59 dollar breakfast steak and eggs. While good I don't think it was anything spectacular to write home about. Chicken and pink waffles were tasty as well as the lobster benedict. If anything, the star for us were the drinks. All in all, a great experience. We would love to come back for dinner. The menu looked a bit more robust. Hope it was just as beautiful as our brunch experience. Prost! read more

The silver buffet was significantly overpriced for what was offered, especially considering guests were not allowed to take any leftover food home. What made this even more frustrating was being told that takeout containers were unavailable, despite us clearly seeing other guests leaving with takeout containers. This inconsistency was disappointing and left us feeling that we were not being treated fairly. Additionally, the pricing was quoted during the planning process did not match the final bill, which was unexpected and frustrating. Communication from the manager throughout the event planning process was poor, making the entire experience more stressful than it needed to be. I was also surprised that a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill. Overall, the combination of inconsistent policies, poor communication, pricing discrepancies, and the overall experience left a negative impression. Customer service was excellent. I love the decor. Everything is in pink and white. It's a cool concept by the water. We had such a good time. The drinks were really good. Especially the mojitos which were very refreshing and the lemon drops that were so tasty. The food was disappointing. The food looked appetizing but lacked seasoning. Everyone asked for salt, pepper and anything else they had to improve the flavor. I ordered the avocado toast on sourdough with bean sprouts and bacon. The sourdough toast was so hard it was extremely difficult to cut. I had to ask for a sharper knife and it was still hard to cut. It was a fun experience but the food was lacking. read more

Such a cute spot and a hidden gem in Long Beach! :) II've never heard of this place until my friends and I went to celebrate a birthday not too long ago, but I'm so glad we went because it was a great time! Our servers were awesome and really took care of us! We got a bunch of appetizers as well as entrees that we all decided to share (the portions are pretty good sized so you're able to share fairly easy if you want). There wasn't one item that we had an issue with. Everything tasted super fresh and all of the food and drink were quality! They have a lot of cute spots for photo ops too! They service it's amazing as being a busy restaurant, they do request a $25 deposit in hold in credit card for any reservation, free parking and 2 hours of reservation but if they are not busy they will not rush you! We got our reservation at 12:30 and we left the table around 3ish , walk around the restaurant and every corner it's a perfect place to seat. Their cocktails and their food are delicious. Niguel Waterfront Restaurant is definitely for the girlies! I absolutely loved the vibe, aesthetics, and beautiful waterfront views. The atmosphere is stylish, fun, and makes for a great place to gather with friends. Unfortunately, the service fell short during our visit. While the staff seemed to be trying their best, they were not very attentive. Even though there were several empty tables, it took nearly 20 minutes after being seated to receive water and place our drink order. Throughout the meal, we had to repeatedly ask for water refills and condiments, and the staff did not check on our table very often. The restrooms were also low on supplies, and there were a few service missteps, including dishes being cleared before everyone had finished eating. My sister's food was taken before she was done, and our meals did not arrive at the same time. As a party of seven, we were seated near the host stand and restrooms, which wasn't the most comfortable location for a larger group. The food was decent, and the menu had a lot of appealing options. Because I enjoyed the atmosphere so much, I would be willing to give it another chance, perhaps with a smaller group. The location and views are beautiful, but the overall experience would have benefited from more attentive service. read more

Like many others have mentioned in their reviews, this restaurant is absolutely beautiful. It's very well themed, the glassware is gorgeous, the gold silverware is a fun touch, and the décor and overall ambiance are fantastic. We came here to celebrate our friend's birthday with a party of 10. When we were seated, we were informed there was a two-hour dining limit, which we completely understood since it's a busy restaurant. We ordered drinks first, but they took about 25 minutes to arrive. My drink had condensation on the outside of the glass, making it obvious it had been sitting for quite a while. For an $18 cocktail, that was a little disappointing since drinks can change in taste if they sit too long. Still, it wasn't a huge issue. Our food arrived promptly, additional rounds of drinks came quickly, and we were genuinely having a wonderful time celebrating. Unfortunately, everything changed when the bill came. The restaurant automatically added a 20% gratuity, which was clearly stated on the menu, so we expected that. What we were not told was that they do not split checks and will only accept a maximum of three credit cards for large parties. This policy is not listed on the menu, nor were we informed when we were seated. As we've done at many restaurants, everyone calculated their own total, including tax and gratuity, so we could each pay our share. However, every time we added everything together, we were coming up $30-$50 short. We simply asked if the server could separate the bill by seat so we could verify each person's subtotal. She told us she couldn't. At that point, the manager came over because we had already spent about 30 minutes trying to sort it out. He explained that they don't allow multiple credit cards because of processing fees and that they would not split the check. When we asked how other large parties handle this, he simply said, "They just pay it." We found that hard to believe for a bill approaching $1,000. After nearly an hour of going back and forth with both the server and the manager, we finally said we would have to remove the automatic gratuity--not because of the server, who was great and absolutely deserved a tip, but because it was the only way we could accurately calculate what everyone owed. As soon as we said that, the server was suddenly able to separate the items by person and process all of our credit cards individually. It was incredibly frustrating because what had been such a fun and enjoyable afternoon ended on a very sour note. This entire situation could have been avoided if the restaurant had simply disclosed its payment policy upfront. If a restaurant refuses to split checks and limits the number of credit cards it will accept, that policy should be clearly stated on the menu and communicated to guests before they order. It's unfortunate because the restaurant itself is beautiful, the atmosphere is excellent, and we genuinely enjoyed our meal. However, the way the payment situation was handled completely overshadowed the experience. Sadly, everyone in our group agreed that we won't be returning. read more
