I would have given this place four stars, but I have to say the service was very slow. At first, the waitress was very sweet and quick to bring our food. I did ask for a cup of ice, but she forgot. There was a moment where we noticed. She didn't come back for 20 minutes. I had to go to the bar and order the dessert. She did come back and say the manager forgot to tell someone to check on our table. I just think for a fun high class place. The service should have been a lot better! The salad I ordered was delicious and had the most perfect flavor! The steak melted in my mouth and the dressing was perfect! The crème brûlée I ordered came out cold. I would think crème brûlée should be warm. The best part was the birthday vanilla ice cream with marshmallows and toffee and chocolate! Nigel's has the best photo ops! If you want perfect pictures with a girly background, this is the place to be. With your lunch, they gave us a free 15 minute Duffy boat ride! Niguel Waterfront Restaurant is definitely for the girlies! I absolutely loved the vibe, aesthetics, and beautiful waterfront views. The atmosphere is stylish, fun, and makes for a great place to gather with friends. Unfortunately, the service fell short during our visit. While the staff seemed to be trying their best, they were not very attentive. Even though there were several empty tables, it took nearly 20 minutes after being seated to receive water and place our drink order. Throughout the meal, we had to repeatedly ask for water refills and condiments, and the staff did not check on our table very often. The restrooms were also low on supplies, and there were a few service missteps, including dishes being cleared before everyone had finished eating. My sister's food was taken before she was done, and our meals did not arrive at the same time. As a party of seven, we were seated near the host stand and restrooms, which wasn't the most comfortable location for a larger group. The food was decent, and the menu had a lot of appealing options. Because I enjoyed the atmosphere so much, I would be willing to give it another chance, perhaps with a smaller group. This is a really aesthetically pleasing restaurant. The boat we rented for the afternoon was also equally enjoyable. However, the entrance seating is a little awkward, which is where we were seated. The walkway between the entrance booths is very narrow and both customers and servers are having to dodge each other on the pathway. I had tried the pink lemon drop and just a glass of prosecco! The pink lemon drop was not sweet because I told them to not make it sweet. My friend and I ordered the fries and they were fresh and hot. The drinks and fries 4/5 for me. The service was 3/5 it took forever to get drinks over 30 minutes and I felt they should have accommodated us for the long wait times for the drinks. It's very chic inside and nice ambiance!! First, I'm always very happy when parking is easy. Yay, for parking. We got there early so my son and I had an opportunity to check the docking area and the boats out. The boat rental and Nigel's share a check-in area. It seems like you can rent a boat for free if you have a reservation but I could be wrong as the person describing the rules for the boats was talking fast and I had no intentions of renting a boat so I probably didn't listen well. We had a Mother's Day brunch scheduled at 2:30 and we were let in right away, which was good. The place is lovely for you to take a lot of pictures so even if you had to wait, you can spend the time taking lovely photos. I love when you go to a buffet because you don't have to wait to order and wait to get your food so we immediately went to get some goodies. I especially enjoyed the Nigel's chopped salad, the prime rib, the Thai chicken lollipop that was with the coconut lime rice, and the avocado toast. Everything was pretty good, but those were my favorites. For a drink, I had the non-alcoholic lily's spritz which was very yummy. The guava in it made you feel extra special. They service it's amazing as being a busy restaurant, they do request a $25 deposit in hold in credit card for any reservation, free parking and 2 hours of reservation but if they are not busy they will not rush you! We got our reservation at 12:30 and we left the table around 3ish , walk around the restaurant and every corner it's a perfect place to seat. Their cocktails and their food are delicious. Nigel continues to disappoint. This time, a friend spilled her drink on my partner's pants by accident. The server saw, immediately said I'll bring you napkins!.... and never came with said napkins. I had to ask for that twice. Table was never cleared immediately or properly- we were eating dessert on a cluttered table littered with dirty tableware at the end of 3 hrs. Not very fine dining. Also, no one came to take our bday girl's husband's order for 30 minutes. We had to go inside to locate a server to place his food order. Overall, while we were satisfied with our food, it was certainly not exceptional. Just edible and fine. But i did expect this - this is an IG spot, not some bastion of gastronomy, so whatever. So far - food 3/5 (if you ask my friends it's 1/5) and service was 2/5. I wanna clarify: I did like our server. He was extremely nice and friendly and sassy in a fun way. But... the problem isnt with him, its with management and the business. They are absolutely understaffed. I saw this poor man out of breath and stressed out almost the whole night. She proceeded to add that they had larger parties than us of 20 and 30+ people that night and they are all doing 20%. F1: okay good for them? I'm not sure why you having larger groups excuses our less than 10% level of gratuity service experience? M: I let you bring your dogs in! F1: ok? But you market yourself as dog friendly and your cabanas are outdoors so how is this supposed to be some sort of gift we have received? And not to mention.... one of the two dogs is a service dog anyways? M: continues to gaslight and blame my friend instead of just admitting we had a piss poor experience overall, they could do better, theyre sorry and will hire more people. Nope. She just develops an antagonistic, not customer service like attitude, and gaslight us for not coming to her directly for every single problem. How is that to be expected? You're supposed to tell just your server and they should handle it! You only bring in a manager if something severe happens! In the end my friend gave up; the manager wasn't trying to even own up for all their mistakes starting from 4 weeks ago to an absolutely poor bday dinner. The manager reduced 50% on one single risotto (even though we ordered like 7 risottos and 6 of them were undercooked). My friend paid 15% tip instead and we left. Only to find out, the restaurant had mischarged us anyways! They actually charged us $58 for "milagro blanco" - which is a drink we never had! Crazy. So we ended up overpaying either way. We called back since to get this $58 refunded since it's not something we even ordered - and again - not a single live person to be reached. So disappointed. I wanted to like this place. What a perfect place for a girls outing, with their floral and pink decor. The details go beyond the glass chandeliers and velvet tufted chairs, onto the seahorse napkin holders, pink themed drinks, and pink ceramic plates. It's right at the water so almost every booth table has a water view. Plus you can also take the Duffy boat out. Ambiance is a 9/10. The only reason why it's not a 10 is because some of the decor is now faded from the sun. Our server was amazing! I think her name is Fallon. Her friendly and welcoming energy was infectious. Such a lil gem of a place. I had my reservations but definitely came away delighted. Good food and amazing service are the culprits, and I could not be happier. We went here yesterday for my Mom's Birthday, and she loved every minute of it. From the pink decor to the Easter greeters, everything was wonderful. We also met the super talented violinist. I know she just started but I'm glad we were able to experience her talent. She's such a fantastic addition. We ended up ordering a few brunch dishes. Prices were decent. Think the only one we were surprised by was the the 59 dollar breakfast steak and eggs. While good I don't think it was anything spectacular to write home about. Me and my friends went here yesterday to celebrate our semester ending. We wanted to have a girls day and what a great way to start it with pink vibes and brunch with drinks. We picked this place since it's one of the brunch spots that are open after 2pm, since most of them closes at that time. The vibes were really nice, every staff are all welcoming as we were walking to our table. We did same day online reservation for 6 people at 1:30pm but we ended up coming at 2pm because of traffic. But they were still able to sit us right away since it was not busy at that moment. We ordered alcoholic drinks, appetizers and our entrees. We had the artichoke dip and calamari for appetizers both of those were really good. Then for my entree I had the truffle risoto as pictured. I was debating whether to get the chicken piccata but I tend to eat small portions so I chose the risoto. It was really good, I love truffles so those are a plus and I finished my whole plate of risoto. For the drinks, I don't really drink a lot and I'm a lightweight. As for my friends, they really like the dirty little secret drink. The one I got was no strings attached, this is coming from someone that doesn't drink a lot and is a lightweight. So I didn't really like it. It was too strong for me, they said it's supposed to be like a piña colada but all I tasted was alcohol. My other friend ordered it as well, she said it was strong as well, she did asked if she can get more of the juice to dilute it a bit. They did have a complimentary duffy boat ride they offered. They have it on Wednesdays-Fridays until 7pm, it's a 15-20minute ride and you can always come back to do it that day s long as you have the receipt from the restaurant. CUTE BUT INTERRUPTED Came out for the Valentine's Day experience pre fix menu. We sat in the corner booths as you enter the restaurant. Cute details and pink lighting all around. Ordered their take on the old fashion and a sassy and spice drink made with Mezcal. Drinks were good and I was delighted the place was available on a Saturday valentines day. Oysters were okay. I mean, they don't have to be prepared at all, but whoever shucked them did it aggressively because we had to spit out the pieces of shattered shell in each of them. It happens at least they didn't look dead. The filet mignon was good. Cooked medium rare and served with a piece of butter torched right in front of you. My girlfriend has been wanting to try this place for sometime so I thought it would be a great place for valentines. Unfortunately, the thing she remembers most from the dinner is how we fought fruit flys the entire time. And to pay, with the intention to make her day, just to laugh about how all we did was kill fruit flies is irritating. the meal was overshadowed by the constant smacking of flys. I know it's an outdoor set up but I think there was something attracting them in the snake plants behind us. We didn't see anyone else battling so assumed it was just us. STEPH JUDGEMENT: Cute spot for dates and special occasions. The hubby and I stopped in one weekday afternoon to get a drink and see what it was all about. The place was very pink and very pretty. The ambience was definitely chick-forward, and as a chick, I dug it, even though I don't generally consider myself a girly girl. We bellied up to the bar (yes, pink) and perused the cocktail menu. I got a Swipe Right cocktail, which was a nice blend of bourbon and sweetness without being cloying, even with sugar rim. The hubby wasn't in the mood for a cocktail and just got a hazy IPA. The beautiful afternoon light reflecting off the water made the whole place glow and we had a nice time leisurely taking it all in. We were glad to have caught it before the evening crowd got there. The bartender was nice and the prices were in line with its upscale-casual ambience. We enjoyed it, but will probably only come for drinks during the quiet hours because we're old and they don't have a great selection of vegetarian items. They were late on setting up our table, there were still people dining, so that was a little hiccup. Once we were seated, everything came together. They were very busy and her making that effort show a great customer service on her part. He also had a gorgeous young lady walking around, posing for pictures and she had these amazing costumes that she rotated out of throughout our time there. I should also mention, that as we waited for a table to be set up, we were invited to the bar to order drinks if we'd like. My friends order cocktails, and I had a mocktail, presentation again, a spot on! My friend said they really liked their drink drinks. I ordered the "La Reina Pork Carnitas" and I didn't expect them to be as good as they were. I wish there was more Carnitas because that was the best part, they were filled with flavor and not greasy at all. The chilaquiles had a great flavor. The salmon bowl was delicious. The salmon was incredibly fresh. Crispy on the outside, buttery and melt in your mouth on the inside. It came with a tahini sauce that I was honestly a little skeptical about at first, but it ended up being amazing. I can't even properly explain the flavor, but it complemented the salmon perfectly. The salmon was served over jasmine rice mixed with lime and cilantro, and it was so good. I'm not a huge fan of arugula. I tried some, but arugula is just a little too peppery for me. Everything else? A solid 20 out of 10. Since we went on a Wednesday, they offered complimentary 15 minute boat rides after brunch. I thought that was such a cool bonus. The service was impeccable! I recently visited Nigel Restaurant to celebrate my friend's birthday, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing from beginning to end. When we first arrived, my friend ordered a drink from the server, but it never came out. We noticed other drinks being served before hers, and then the server disappeared for quite a while. I understand places can get busy, but we didn't even get our food orders taken until we had to ask someone for assistance. Even after that, it took over 10 minutes for the server to finally come back to our table. While ordering, almost everything we asked for from the menu was "sold out" or unavailable, which was frustrating considering this was supposed to be a birthday celebration. Later in the evening, around closing time, we asked a gentleman cleaning a nearby table if they would still be able to sing Happy Birthday since it was mentioned during the reservation process. He kindly said it shouldn't be a problem. However, when we asked our server, she responded that she thought the birthday sign was locked away in a shed and said she would "see." At that point, we noticed a man who identified himself as the bar owner following another group of young women around and offering them shots. He personally walked the shots out to them on the patio. We attempted to get his attention to ask about the birthday sign, but he completely ignored us. Another gentleman, who appeared to be a manager, was also rude and dismissive when we asked for help. Neither of them made us feel valued as paying customers. Eventually, the server came back and said she found the birthday sign. But when it came time to sing Happy Birthday, it was only her singing alone, and she didn't even light up the sign. After all the waiting, confusion, and poor customer service throughout the night, the moment felt very last-minute and disappointing. Overall, the service was unprofessional, inattentive, and unwelcoming. What was supposed to be a special birthday celebration turned into a frustrating experience. We had a lovely afternoon celebrating my and my sister's birthdays! The ambiance was truly festive ..,pretty in PINK EVERYTHING AND EVERYWHERE! Barbie would feel right at home The food was delicious. Steaks were perfectly cooked (medium rare), salmon had crispy skin, chicken piccata was flavorful and the drinks were creative and as beautiful as they were delicious. Our servers were all spectacular with the manager stopping by our table to offer his top three recommendations, we ordered them all and they did not disappoint! After lunch (Wednesdays and Thursdays) we were treated to a complimentary 20 minute boat ride and saw Moon Jellyfish!!! I got to gently touch one - made my day! The place is filled with fun photo ops, but some of the faux florals could use some sprucing up or replacement, the sun at the ocean can be brutal, but it all still photographs well. We sat at a booth facing the waterfront. The cabanas had a view of the entry walkway and champagne pop up so moving forward, I think we will stick to booths to avoid foot traffic in front of our table. Nigels is definitely a destination. We drove over an hour to get here and it was absolutely worth it. Now I'm looking forward to seeing it at Christmastime, I can only imagine! read more

Pink is the in-color at Nigel's, and seahorses are the animal de jour. had a blast there with our family - especially our 3 year old granddaughter who loves pink! Service was very attentive from multiple staff and managers. Heavy pour on the cocktails which were delightful and artistic. All the food was great although I missed being able to try the fried deviled eggs - they sounded great. Will definitely come back. Love how they overlook the water. Lots of activity from boats to wildlife. read more

The ambiance is super cute, we went for a girls brunch and it did give girly vibes and was so feminine! There was a ton of parking since the parking lot is so big. The food was mediocre, very much overpriced but you technically are paying for the experience. I ordered the chicken and waffles and the waffles were very sweet and tasted very sugary. The drinks were good though, so I did like that. The service was also great too, our server was very attentive so I appreciated that. I'm not sure I would come back again. read more

Nigel's is a cute gem in LB. The parking is underground parking to get to the restaurant faster. Nigel's gives me Miami vibes, the decor and just the vibe. There are a few places to take cute pics . Definitely a great girl's spot, I saw a few bridal gatherings and birthday girls. The drinks were so good and pretty. I got the chilaquiles it was pretty good. Food- The food is pretty standard brunch for. Not a ton of food options, they have a scramble and a Benedict and a chilaquiles and an avocado toast. The vegetables were really delicious and fresh. The egg whites were super fluffy which was very enjoyable. Everything came unseasoned in the garden omelet but they provided salt, pepper, hot sauce, and ketchup. Lots of drink options if you fancy a brunch cocktail, wine, or beer. The pineapple mimosa is nice. The bloody mary was really good and has a bleu cheese fried green olive in it. They gave us complimentary vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce and chocolate chips because we were celebrating my birthday. It was super delicious!! Service- The service here is lovely. We are vegetarian and they were able to customize some of our dishes so we had more ordering options (e.g., lobster benedict without the lobster). At one point the owner came by and even cleared my plate and asked if he could get us anything else, which is so above and beyond. Ambience- I love the vibes here, so much pink! They also have a bunch of green decor so any fans of Wicked would love this place! They still had their Christmas decor up which was lovely and much appreciated. We came to Nigel's in Long Beach as a party of 10 to celebrate my friend's birthday. Unfortunately, the restaurant experience completely ruined her special night. Our reservation was at 6:45 PM, but the table wasn't ready on time. Service was extremely slow from the start. Our drink orders didn't arrive until an hour and a half later, and even then the order was wrong and not everyone received their drinks, even though the restaurant wasn't close to full. We didn't get our food until 8:45 PM, two hours after our reservation. When it finally arrived, appetizers and entrées came out together, the appetizers were cold, and the steaks we ordered medium rare were served well done. To make things worse, we were squeezed into a small cabana that couldn't fit our group and were charged extra for it without ever requesting it. There was so little space that we had to eat our meals on our laps. Overall, the night was chaotic and poorly managed. I would not recommend this restaurant for large groups or special occasions. read more
