I recently went to Nigels Waterfront for a wonderful birthday experience. As we arrived the ambiance was pleasant with photo ops, but that was the only good part of our visit. The service was very poor. We had Sabrina D. as our server but we had to ask 3 separate times and 2 different people for a simple ask of straws. She walked away twice stating she would get us some but had some on her waist and still walked away. Our wait time for the food was about an hour which was longer than expected. The food itself was great but our service made us feel neglected. When the food came out we all received our plates in different orders which created an awkward essence of waiting for us to eat. Overall the service was not the best with long wait times. Afterwards our server approached us with a bad attitude asking for a tip though she was rarely at our table, not present, and ignoring us with our simple requests. We thought this is quite Unprofessional! Good food, bad service. read more

Hope you love Pink! I can imagine with this extremely unique restaurant/bar/immersive dining experience that several things can go haywire especially on busy weekends. In our case things actually went quite well. Our group consisted of eight women of various ages, three were celebrating birthday's. Our reservation was on a sunny Saturday @ 2:15. We were taken to a long table, indoors with nearby windows & a view of the Cabana Garden outside. The decor is upscale...storybook kitschy opulence. The place was hopping! Everyone was dressed either to The Nines or nice casual. Lots of glittery cocktail attire, pretty summer frocks & even pastel suits & bow ties on a few gentleman. Kind of a Bridgerton meets the Bravo Channel. It's all part of the fun but don't feel compelled to fret about your wardrobe. I felt fine in my SoCal nice casual. Bridal & baby showers, birthday's, and/or just here to dine it seemed like everyone was so happy! Is Nigel's the new "Happiest Place On Earth" replacing Disneyland? It's not as expensive as Disneyland (but what is?) & Nigel's ain't cheap BUT guests aren't here for an economical experience. They are here to whoop it up or at the very least have a lively get together while enjoying delicious, good-looking food. The taste tempting Brunch Menu was almost over so we went with the Lunch menu, giving us more time to decide. Nigel's has a lot to offer especially for celebrations or big groups. There are Cabana's, Duffy Boats, floating round tables, water-view seating, etc. The food & drink menu is so vast & creative it's worth studying. I ordered the Beet & Burrata Salad. Tasty & one of the least expensive offerings. It was $20 and no, it didn't come with bread. Some other dishes...Creamy Risotto, a grilled Wild Mushroom Sandwich, Shrimp Ceviche (it came with tortilla chips), a Fried Chicken Sandwich w/fries. Everyone was happy with their choices. They also surprised us with three birthday ice cream desserts. A nice touch! Service was excellent. Jake (who had personality plus) came in halfway through because our first nice server had to move on. Marina Pacifica started out in 1972-73 as a very unusual shopping & dining venue but evolved into a somewhat "cool but basic" outdoor mall. I had a very disappointing experience at Nigel's, especially because this was supposed to be a special birthday celebration. We had a reservation, yet we waited approximately 2 hours to be seated. During that time, we were repeatedly told that our table was being cleaned and that we would be seated soon. We kept waiting, but the explanations continued without any real resolution. Eventually, we decided to leave. What made the experience even more upsetting was that we felt we were being treated differently because of our race. As a group of people of color, we couldn't help but notice the way we were treated compared with other guests. I cannot speak for their intentions, but the treatment we received left us feeling unwelcome and discriminated against. A restaurant being busy is understandable, but making customers wait for two hours while repeatedly giving them misleading information is not acceptable. And when you leave feeling that your race may have played a role in how you were treated, it makes the experience even more hurtful. This was my birthday, and unfortunately, Nigel's turned what should have been a celebration into a very negative experience. I hope management takes situations like this seriously and looks into how guests are being treated. read more

My husband planned a beautiful birthday day for me with our 5-year-old daughter: brunch at Nigel's, then a boating reservation at a nearby port. He made both reservations with extra buffer time because he's a type 1 diabetic and timing matters. We arrived 5 minutes early. We waited over 50 minutes and were seated well past our reservation time. They were completely unprepared. Our daughter was starving, my husband's blood sugar was dropping, and we were going to miss our boating reservation--so we left. Because Nigel's had a $100 OpenTable hold, I went back to explain what happened instead of just letting them keep money for a meal we never received. The manager apologized, promised to comp champagne, and said she would take care of us personally. We stayed. We got the champagne. Then we ordered food for our daughter and husband. Thirty minutes passed and my daughter still had no food. The manager never came by. The original server was embarrassed and said it would be comped. Then my husband and I ordered. After another 30+ minutes, his order came out completely wrong. Mine came even later. A crab cake appetizer we asked them to take back still ended up on the bill. The server kept saying everything would be comped. The manager said everything would be comped. Then the bill came with charges for my food, my husband's beers, and the crab cake. But honestly, my issue was never about getting free food. We never asked for comps. We wanted the same food and basic service everyone around us was receiving. Instead, we were talked down to like comps were some favor we were chasing. It felt humiliating. It also appeared that staff were talking and giggling while looking over at us. I don't know what was said, but it made an already awful experience feel worse. A reservation should mean something. A manager's word should mean something. Basic service should mean something. Nigel's failed at all three. I left my own birthday brunch feeling embarrassed and disrespected. Never again. read more

This restaurant has been on my to try list for a while, so when my daughter and I had the opportunity to have a girls night out we decided to give it a try. First off, I have to say that the major draw of this establishment seems to be its very "post-able" decor. The interior is decorated in green and pink, and there is even a Barbie style photo box when you walk in. That being said, expect a lot of fun loving (ok, loud) guests who are dressed to impress and there to have a good time. It is important to know that this restaurant is essentially located on a walkway between a commercial building and a dock that is used for Duffy boat rentals. That means that there is no climate control! We went during one of our lovely summer heat waves, and there was absolutely no relief from the heat. You can also expect to occasionally see a cooler-lugging Duffy boat customer huffing through the restaurant. The bathrooms left a lot to be desired- they are after all public restrooms. Dimming the lights and adding some decor couldn't hide the fact that they were your basic, airless, ill-kept dockside restrooms. As for the food, the best item that we ordered was the Mediterranean salmon bowl. Our starter of artichoke dip was very tasteless, although our server did go check with the chef to ensure that it was gluten-free. My daughter had a fried chicken sandwich that was very greasy... She could only finish half. One of the biggest pros, though, was the service. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating and seemed genuinely invested in everyone having a pleasant experience. Our waitress was so kind and had great recommendations. Calamari: too chewy, the batter was not crispy- cut into little squares. A bit strange. Did have a yummy sweet sauce on it though! The burger: it was pretty bland and the patty needed a lot more salt. Wish it had more veggies on there. Fries: Thick, soft and too potatoey. Salmon: this was actually delicious! We came here for brunch on a Saturday without a reservation and luckily we were sat right away with a nice view of the marina. Everything is so cute and pink, definitely a lot of photo ops! Since it was brunch the menu was limited. I had the pink chicken and waffles and my hubby got the monte cristo sandwich. Food was just ok, and pretty expensive. The drinks were good and strong. The decor, ambiance, and overall aesthetic are what really stand out. We brought our two kids ages 4 and 5. Our server Stephanie was so sweet and kind to our kids, and she made us feel very welcomed. At first they sat us at a table with no leg room but the host was able to move our table we tried but no leg space no thank you. We ordered the mimosa flight and i didn't understand why the server filled up the flute because where was no space for the juice hence it was just champagne, but i drank the champagne to make space for the juice. Service: We didn't make a reservation but we put down the number for a wait. We kept waiting and waiting and never got a call. I asked him if he knew if it would be about 10 or 15 mins or if he knew when he left and he said "no" very nonchalant, flat and unconcerned so we left because we did have somewhere to go. As we were walking out another hostess asked why are you leaving and I told him that the attendant outside didn't know how long before the guide would return then he was so nice and said we can just radio him "let me check " but we told him it was ok, we would try to come back another time. Variety cocktail options which all drinks we had tasted great; not overly sweet and you could taste the alcohol. I had a Sassy and Sweets and green drink both had a wonderful mess of ingredients. Coastal Crab Cakes and Truffles fries were great with the crab cakes having a good amount of filling. I would have given this place four stars, but I have to say the service was very slow. At first, the waitress was very sweet and quick to bring our food. I did ask for a cup of ice, but she forgot. There was a moment where we noticed. She didn't come back for 20 minutes. I had to go to the bar and order the dessert. The salad I ordered was delicious and had the most perfect flavor! The steak melted in my mouth and the dressing was perfect! The crème brûlée I ordered came out cold. Me and my friends went here yesterday to celebrate our semester ending. We wanted to have a girls day and what a great way to start it with pink vibes and brunch with drinks. We picked this place since it's one of the brunch spots that are open after 2pm, since most of them closes at that time. The vibes were really nice, every staff are all welcoming as we were walking to our table. We did same day online reservation for 6 people at 1:30pm but we ended up coming at 2pm because of traffic. But they were still able to sit us right away since it was not busy at that moment. We ordered alcoholic drinks, appetizers and our entrees. We had the artichoke dip and calamari for appetizers both of those were really good. Then for my entree I had the truffle risoto as pictured. I was debating whether to get the chicken piccata but I tend to eat small portions so I chose the risoto. It was really good, I love truffles so those are a plus and I finished my whole plate of risoto. For the drinks, I don't really drink a lot and I'm a lightweight. As for my friends, they really like the dirty little secret drink. The one I got was no strings attached, this is coming from someone that doesn't drink a lot and is a lightweight. So I didn't really like it. It was too strong for me, they said it's supposed to be like a piña colada but all I tasted was alcohol. My other friend ordered it as well, she said it was strong as well, she did asked if she can get more of the juice to dilute it a bit. They did have a complimentary duffy boat ride they offered. They have it on Wednesdays-Fridays until 7pm, it's a 15-20minute ride and you can always come back to do it that day s long as you have the receipt from the restaurant. So that was nice as well, we were able to connect to the music system in the boat so we can play music. read more

I honestly can't believe I had never heard of Nigel's before! We found it on TikTok and were immediately drawn in by all the pink, but the experience ended up being even better than we expected. It's tucked away in a completely unassuming shopping center with ample free parking, and you enter through a small stairway that leads down toward the water. Once you get inside, the restaurant is beautifully decorated. We went on a Thursday afternoon and were seated right away at a table overlooking the water. The cocktail menu looked amazing and had a lot of fun, thematic options. I ordered the sangria, and it was genuinely one of the most delicious cocktails I've ever had. My sister got the non-alcoholic spritz and really enjoyed hers as well. For food, I ordered the chicken piccata with linguine, and it was excellent. Everything was really well balanced, and the portion was just right. It was satisfying without being overwhelming. But the biggest surprise was finding out that Wednesday through Friday, dining in includes a FREE Duffy boat ride! After our meal, we walked down the ramp to the dock and hopped on one of their boats. And yes... you guessed it... the Duffy boats are PINK! They played music during the ride, and the boats hold around 14 people (besides the captain). We even got to see some jellyfish along the way, which was such a cool bonus. Between the gorgeous decor, waterfront views, great food and drinks, and the pink Duffy boat ride, this place is such a unique experience. This is a really aesthetically pleasing restaurant. The boat we rented for the afternoon was also equally enjoyable. However, the entrance seating is a little awkward, which is where we were seated. The walkway between the entrance booths is very narrow and both customers and servers are having to dodge each other on the pathway. I had tried the pink lemon drop and just a glass of prosecco! The pink lemon drop was not sweet because I told them to not make it sweet. My friend and I ordered the fries and they were fresh and hot. The drinks and fries 4/5 for me. The service was 3/5 it took forever to get drinks over 30 minutes and I felt they should have accommodated us for the long wait times for the drinks. It's very chic inside and nice ambiance!! The Duffy boats rentals are cute and during the week you can get complimentary Duffy ride for 20 mins. It's a fun place may come back to get a drink. We came here this past weekend for a family birthday dinner, and overall, we had a good time celebrating together. The restaurant is definitely very on-theme -- lots of pink, cute decor, and a fun atmosphere that makes it feel perfect for a special occasion. There were a few things I noticed during our visit that I think could be improved. Some of the snake plants throughout the restaurant looked pretty rough and neglected. Since the decor is such a big part of the restaurant's atmosphere, taking better care of the plants would make the space feel even nicer. Our waiter was friendly, but he seemed to lack some experience when it came to taking our orders. He forgot to put in the birthday girl's order, and we had to remind him about it. Later, when it was time to pay, things became a little confusing. We had a large party and clearly communicated that we wanted the bill split into two checks, but there were several items placed on the wrong check and it took some back-and-forth to get everything sorted out. The food was good, and the drinks were enjoyable, so we were happy with those. I will say that the person who was bringing out our food came across as a little rude, which was another small thing that stood out. That being said, none of these things ruined our night. We were there to celebrate a birthday and, most importantly, we got to spend time together as a family and had a good time. I just wanted to share the experience because I think these are little areas where the restaurant could improve. The food was tasty and and fun--unique in that many of the dishes were pink! I feel as if it would be impossible to be in a bad mood at Nigel's. The waterfront dining experience from just about every table was nice, too, especially on such a hot day! After lunch, we took the Duffy boat as part of the overall experience. Make sure, though, to reserve it ahead of time. Noah was a fun tour guide who even risked getting stung by a jelly fish so we could all see one up close. Loved it there. We went to Nigel's waterfront restaurant a couple of weeks ago on Friday night. As soon as we walked in, we were ouuuuuuing and in awe. Everything was pink and fabulous. Lots of spaces where you could take pictures and put them on Instagram. There were large groups of young women, lots of parties and people that just wanted to have a grand time. There was five of us in our group. When our waiter came to great us, he had so much energy I knew we were going to have soooooo much fun. This restaurant sits right on the water and is Lovely. There's underground parking and also outside parking. The food was very good. I especially like the little bistro chop salad. I definitely recommend a visit to Nigel's especially if you're in a large group celebrating a birthday or a bachelorette party. read more

I decided to give Nigel's Waterfront a try for my birthday because I've seen it all over social media. I had also walked through the area before while renting a paddleboard and kayak, so I thought it would be a cute place to have dinner. The aesthetic and atmosphere are really nice, and the waiters were very friendly, polite, and attentive. The starters we ordered were actually really good! For my entrée, though, I just wasn't a fan of what I chose. The presentation was beautiful, but the dish was very bland for my personal taste. I definitely think it could've used more seasoning. That being said, I can't speak for the whole menu -- there may be other dishes that are much better, so I'd probably be open to trying something different if I went back. My biggest issue was honestly the heat. We went on a hot day and there's no AC, so I was literally sweating the whole time. It was hard for me to comfortably sit in one place and enjoy my dinner because I was so hot. Overall, I wouldn't say it was a bad experience. The service was great, the starters were good, and the restaurant itself is really cute. The entrée I chose just wasn't for me, and the heat definitely took away from the experience. read more

First, I'm always very happy when parking is easy. Yay, for parking. We got there early so my son and I had an opportunity to check the docking area and the boats out. The boat rental and Nigel's share a check-in area. It seems like you can rent a boat for free if you have a reservation but I could be wrong as the person describing the rules for the boats was talking fast and I had no intentions of renting a boat so I probably didn't listen well. We had a Mother's Day brunch scheduled at 2:30 and we were let in right away, which was good. The place is lovely for you to take a lot of pictures so even if you had to wait, you can spend the time taking lovely photos. I love when you go to a buffet because you don't have to wait to order and wait to get your food so we immediately went to get some goodies. I especially enjoyed the Nigel's chopped salad, the prime rib, the Thai chicken lollipop that was with the coconut lime rice, and the avocado toast. Everything was pretty good, but those were my favorites. For a drink, I had the non-alcoholic lily's spritz which was very yummy. The guava in it made you feel extra special. Our waitress was really good. My son loved her. All in all, a great place to hang out for Mother's Day. read more

The beauty of pink can be felt at this place that is easy to feel. That is why it is not a stretch to call this place the house that Beach Barbie built. But more than that this place takes the feeling of pretty in pink and extends it to fantasy in pink accentuated with water strolls on Duffys and an atmosphere that is both delicate and fearless in the many shades that fit under the umbrella of the word pink, like Salmon, Rose, Fuschia and depending on who you ask magenta. I had a great experienec when I had lunch there. It is too easy of a pull to say that I was tickled pink by the luncheon so I will reach for a more ambitious claim and say that this place deserves miss Woods, Elle if it were ever to have any type of legal woe. Any other lawyer would break the spell that this place establishes so well. When one arrives at the parking lot, one sees a gym, a movie theatre but no promise of a land that is pink. It was discouraging. I thought we had arrived at the wrong place. So we looked for our location, some hue of pink that signaled this way go. And then we saw the black circle above some stairs. The stairs led to the place. It was clear that beyond the pink motif, this place also is a beach's bums paradise. The bar stools had seashell back rests. The napkins had seahorse rings. One cannot help but imagine having an aquatic ring. But the seahorse napkin holder was fit for napkins not human fingers, go figure. And beyond the pink, and the beach foaminess, there was also a girly-coded feel to the place. That of course cannot be denied. But, to call this place a place for girl's, would be right but limiting. Like if this is a place only for girls, then a battlezone is only a place for men. Meaning that standards of the past can no longer define environments of modern-today. This place is for anyone who enjoys all this place has to offer, including books on Prada and Hermes and Paris. But I can definetely see how this place is an easy answer to where can we have a bachelorrete party for a girl who is classy and classically feminine and not a place for a bro-out after a victor in the basketball court. The food continued the glamorous feel. The burgers had glitter. We started with the chacuterrie and it was a strong showing of flavor, and engaging cuts of meat and cheese that were only made better by toasted bread and fig jam. I had the salmon tacos and they were hearty and filling and kind of an easy dish to like. They came with chips. The spinach dip came with parmeassan chips. The dip was creamy, rich and thick.I am not a fan of spinach dip, but here I enjoyed it, but it would not be the move next time, simply because good for something I usually just tolerate is not good enough to order again. It had to correct a long standing belief and this dip did not convert it but like I said it was solid. A dip lover would plotz. It was a special way of eating, delicate prepared food, with glitter atop pink plates. The pink promise never seized. Their pens were also pink and it read Nigels. I also want to stop and applaud the manager Bobby our server Dennis and the main chef who wore a pink chef jacket. They were attentive, like seriously, attentive, and they hovered just enough to make us feel like we never needed anything. We were taken care of well, and this kind of tender service is a kiss to my expectations that eases them into a soft delight. Then came the complimentary Duffy boat ride atop a pink boat. The breeze reduced the scorch of the day. The travel pace was slow. Another person put her music on, and it was modern hits. One of the first songs were Adriana. The song came part of the perfect break in arduous reality. The place deserves praise for many of the reasons to catalog here. This place is such a vibe! It was a bit noisy but my friends and I had a really good time. It's a little warm for the tables away from the open doors so I do recommend choosing one of the tables near the open air. Luckily we were able to switch tables. All of the staff were very friendly. The food was delicious. You know it's good when you order a well done steak and it's still tender and juicy. I honestly think the prices are about average. Our bill came out to $300 for 3 steak entrees, 2 adult beverages. 2 appetizers and coffee. I definitely recommend this for your next girls night out. Parking is a bit hidden, but rest assured going to the covered parking with ease of accessibility to the restaurant was great. A friend and I had a girl's brunch date on a Sunday, reservation was at 1015, and we were promptly seated. A lot of "Instagram-able" booths/photo ops areas through the restaurant. The servers were attentive and kind. A lot more foot tracking throughout restaurant started after 1200. What knocks this restaurant, is the food... We ordered the Avocado Toast Tower, it has egg, and bacon bits on it. It was as to be expected. Nothing spectacular, but $34 is a bit much? Individually, I ordered the Lemon Drop (photo not taken), and it was more sugar than it was alcohol? Noted that it was pink per the theme but that's a minuet detail. For my main food, I ordered the Pink Hen Chicken and Waffles, and I couldn't be more disappointed. Chicken was flat pieces, fried skin was floppy, and overall it was bland. The waffle was pink, tough, and burned on the bottom with random bacon bits scattered in it. Also, there was glitter on EVERYTHING. The avocado toast, the chicken, the decorative flower with the toast--GLITTER. Do with that what you will. I think it's a cool experience, especially if you like photo ops, but I definitely wouldn't go again. read more

I went here with a friend and thank heavens I did because otherwise it would have been impossible to find. It's inside. The entrance is inside a parking garage and you would never know it. Pink is the word to describe this place and is absolutely adorable. It looks out on the water and it's very charming. We liked our food and the booth was oriented so we could see out onto the marina. The servers were really friendly and they had a nice bar that I could see spending time around. I will be back. read more
