How exciting we have a Spanish restaurant in north San Diego! The place is beautifully decorated, airy and open. It can get really loud as people gather to drink and eat. The food was really authentic. The Spanish albondigas were tender and flavorful. Lobster Paella was the star of the show. Seafood and rice were perfectly cooked. Loved the flavor profile and the lemon and garlic aioli enhanced the dish. Portions were generous. The wait staff team (Victor and Tony and team) were attentive, made recommendations and were friendly. The manager was also on the floor and checked in on us.

I visited this location for a friend's event and was part of a large party. The parking is very difficult. The ambiance is nice and open. We got a flight of differwnt flavor margaritas and the drinks were not strong at all. The food was not good and the prices were high. We ordered the grilled octopus and ahi tacos for appetizer. For entree, we had the pan of rice with seafood on top. The portion of seafood was so small for the large party. It was ridiculous. The service was terrible. This is definitely not a place to celebrate anything.

Anniversary dinner win! Friends brought us here to celebrate our anniversary. Fair warning: the location's a bit confusing to get to. Once you're in though, you get solid food and solid service. They even gave us a small cake with a candle for our celebration. Bonus: Kid approved We'll be back. P.S: Mall parking

It's been awhile since we had this visit. But I remember really enjoying it. I had been to the one in Los Angeles. Which was good. But this experience surpassed that for sure. My fiancé and I came on Valentine's Day, on a whim, on our way to a show. Not knowing how crazy and packed the place would actually be. We went up to the hostess and explained the situation, and at first it was an "impossible." But the hostess or manager (I think her name was Mariate or something similar), somehow made it work. There was a table next door to the entrance, that I'm assuming they didn't really use because of placement. But she was able to seat us there at the perfect time. Super grateful for that! Our waiter, I think Alvaro, was really nice. He explained the menu and had different recommendations. We got a few speciality cocktails. And tried the Sangria flight (my personal fave, must try them all!) I got the spicy tuna tacos and garlic shrimp plate. My fiancé is vegan, so I'm not sure what he got but I remember he really liked it! The decor inside is beautiful. The location is great. All the staff was kind. And I love that you can see the kitchen and everything being cooked from inside the dining room! It's pricier for tapas, but authentic and perfect for a nice night out. Would definitely go back!

Ambiance: it's a trendy Spanish style restaurant located at 2nd & PCH shopping center, there's large patio facing the harbor and spacious indoor dining as well, comfortable sofa seats, stylish decorations, clean restroom Service: very friendly and attentively refilled water, food was served fairly fast, although it took a long white to get the bill as they seem understaffed Food & Drink: standard Telefèric menu HAM CROQUETAS - *** Croquetas with Iberian ham and aioli, crispy and creamy PATATAS BRAVAS - *** Crispy potatoes topped with Brava sauce and aioli, bold flavors WAGYU EMPANADAS - *** Braised oxtail empanadas, beef tartar and Manchego, beautiful presentation, tasted just fine TUNA TACOS - **** Marinated ahi tuna, mashed avocado and wonton shells, fresh and crunchy, recommend BARCELONETA SANGRIA - **** Sparkling wine, lemonade, prickly pear, honey, rosemary orange, mixed berries, fruity refreshing taste, recommend SPICY SANGRIA - **** White wine blend, serrano Vodka, Triple Sec and lime, unique spicy taste, recommend Price: tapas food in small portions, and expect $40~$50 per person for bites and drinks

What a gorgeous idea to spend a late lunch at Teleferic. We were just thinking of getting Chai latte nearby on this day but I needed more, like a snack, so here we are. Husband and I chose the following tapas: Crab croquetas - served piping hot with a delicately sliced tuna sashimi. Spicy aioli. Love the tender crunch of the croqueta and the rawness of tuna in one bite, those two complemented well. (2 count) Jamón Ibérico de Bellota - 38 month cured. Acorn fed. Lovely presentation and garnished with a simple sprig of rosemary. Mild in taste, perfect with cheese and pan. Pan con Tomate - toasted and dressed with tomato and chives. (4 count) this completed our entire meal. Salmon Tartare - marinated with citrus, on tostada, avocado mayo, radish. 2 count. Manchego plate - not on the menu. Cheese, pistachios, blueberries. (8 slices) great with jamon. His drink - Catalan g+t - Bombay Premiere Cru gin, rosemary, juniper, tonic. Dry, bittersweet Her drink- Ibiza g+t - butterfly pea tea-infused gin, kaffir, orange peel, tonic. aromatic and botanicals. Love. This snack was packed with protein. It fulfilled our appetite for the rest of the day, believe it or not. Just the right about of carbs too. We enjoyed every bite. Service was friendly and super thorough. Our water glass was always filled. Music streaming was chill beats and sets the mood for some good r + r. Thank you for your taste in music. We have visited several times prior, therefore this review was long overdue. Come and enjoy! Salud!

Came here for my birthday and had an amazing experience! We specifically came here for the Parrón, paella, and the La Flaca bubble drink, and everything was delicious. The food was fantastic, and the service was just as good. One thing that stood out was chatting with the hostess, who had actually moved here from Spain for the job. It added an authentic touch to the experience. The harbor views are beautiful, I was also pleasantly surprised to find out they're dog friendly! To top it all off, the staff surprised me with a birthday dessert and candle, which made the evening feel extra special.

Visited for the first time during Social Hour. Free parking on the street. Friendly and welcoming service. Highly recommend ordering drinks from the Social Hour (comes with a complimentary tapa and ordering from the Barcelona Lunch Menu (ends at 5pm) for $28 (Starter + Main Course) or $34 (Starter + Main Course + 1 dessert). Drinks: La Flaca: if you like Mezcal, you should definitely order this drink! Estrella Damm: ordinary beer, nothing exquisite Complimentary Tapa with Social Hour drinks: Patatas Brava (smoky flavors and yummy) First order: Burrata Bowl (fresh and flavorful) Prime Wellington (great flavors, but a bit too salty) Churros (great texture with hazelnut filling, a bit too much sugar on the churros) Second order: Bruselar (roasted brussels sprouts with Finley shredded cheese was delicious) Grilled Salmon (smoky flavors, needed some acidity) Torrija (yummy French toast type of dessert, not too sweet)

The bar staff was friendly attentive and made great suggestions on food and drink drinks. We also really enjoyed chat and found out most of the management. Staff is from Spain. The restaurant is lively, but not too loud. A girl conversation can still be had. They really enjoyed the food. The octopus was tender, the meatball and the sauce. We're ready to bathe in it. The ham croquettes order a dozen, two coquette only what's the appetite for more. Welcome come back for more little tapas!

Best mocktails in town!

Really love Teleferic! Beautiful ambiance, lots of parking out front, staff is very friendly. Food is terrific! Lots of small dishes to share and choose from. The paella is amazing. And the drinks are fire-really good mocktails too! We love bringing guests from out of town here.

Order details.

While I could see the appeal (great location in a newer shopping center, nice decor) I placed a pick up order for the World Cup Finals 24 hours in advance and was unfortunately let down in a few ways: - First, I placed the order via phone rather than online because the pick up window online was too late (11:50 for a noon game leaving no time to drive home and make the start) and the employee assured me that the order would be ready by 11:30am. I arrived at 11:32am and none of the order was ready. Ultimately the final item (a large, ~$70 + tax paella mixta) was not ready until 30 minutes later and by the time I was able to pay and leave it was nearly 12:10pm. - Second, they were totally unprepared for the day. The host kept going back and forth trying to seat patrons and checking on multiple pick up orders. After 20 minutes when everything other than the Paella was ready, I asked multiple times to just deduct it from the order so I could leave and get in the car to attend to my party. No such luck, they had no dedicated personnel handling pick ups and I felt like I was held hostage until the last food item arrived while they also tried to seat the line of patrons building up. When the paella finally arrived, the two bottles of sangria were still missing from the order and another 5 minutes of delay later, they arrived and I was finally allowed to pay. - Third, the large paella was clearly rushed even though it was ready almost 35 minutes after my scheduled pick up time - the rice was too soft (almost like a risotto with too much water added) and the gambas (shrimp) also had a soft grainy texture that tasted awful - we would not have eaten them if not for the cost. This was nothing like the paellas I've had in Spain, with a nice crispy layer to enjoy as a result of the last stage of cooking over a thin, very wide paella pan. The 2 cardboard bowls they split our paella into couldn't have helped. - Finally, some of the order menu photos were misleading. As an example, the ham croquetas show 4 plump round croquettes per order and the reality was 3 small cylinders in too large of a bowl (same cardboard bowls as our paella was split into, but almost comically empty looking and falling apart). While I was empathetic to the staff who was likely not prepared by management for what should have been a massively successful sales day for an authentic Spanish restaurant, I'm not sure the dishes that did work (the empanadas, the pan con tomate, the gambas al ajillo, and even the $29 glass bottles of sangria) made up for the massive miss on the most expensive plate. I likely will not be back.

I went here with my bestie to celebrate my birthday and I'm so glad we did! The location is amazing, beautiful decor, ambiance is great. I love the architecture and furniture. The food is amazing, we went here for lunch and they have a special Monday to Friday which includes a starter, entree, and dessert. The food was absolutely delicious and flavorful. All the dishes were fantastic. Natalia our server is amazing! She was very professional, friendly, helpful, and tentative. We went with her recommendations and we are glad we did because every single dish was delicious and flavorful. Highly recommend this spot. My new favorite restaurant.

Ask the Community - Teleferic Barcelona

Is this family friendly?

Yes, while the food can be creative they will happily host your kids.

Is parking available for mobility challenged customers?

Parking structure has parking spaces, however it won’t be right in front of the restaurant. Best thing to do is park in a meter parking space in front of the restaurant to drop off and one person can park at the structure or across the street.

Do they have a corkage fee?

Yes they do

Is their patio dog friendly?

During my dining experience yesterday there were a couple dogs inside the restaurant

A great alternative to Porto's!…read more I bought a wide variety of empanadas here, including the breakfast and burrito flavors, and they were all incredibly savory and delicious. You have the option to buy them frozen to save for later, but they honestly taste best when you eat them fresh right at the bakery. A quick tip if you order online: Make sure to go straight to the front and let one of the many employees know you are there for a pickup. They only call out names for in-person orders, so you'll be waiting a while if you don't speak up! I also tried their new seasonal sandwich--the pulled pork melt and the very popular nonseasonal sandwich crispy chicken sandwich. Both were very filling and packed with flavor. Just make sure to eat these fresh, as they will likely get soggy if you try to save them for later. They have a great selection of desserts and coffee drinks that I didn't have room for this time, but I'll definitely be saving those for my next trip to Long Beach. If you're looking to try something a little different from the usual spots like Porto's, I highly recommend checking this place out. I will definitely be returning to try more flavors!

Parking - Free in a shared large parking lot, plentiful We were both intrigued by their potato balls, empanadas, and breakfast burrito in which we ordered 4 potato balls (2 chicken/2 beef), 2 empanadas (1 chicken, 1 beef), and 1 breakfast burrito to share. Our order came out in about 10 minutes or so, not too busy. Total came out to about $42 which is quite expensive for the amount of items in my opinion. 1. Potato Balls - By far my favorite menu items from the visit, they weren't as crispy/crunchy as Portos but they're bigger. Portions are big and it's filled with your choice of filling, very delicious, highly recommend 9/10 2. Empanadas - Usually I love empanadas but these were a bit disappointing on my end. They were softer than empanadas that I usually have, although delicious still but definitely not my favorite from the bakery. 6.5/10 3. Breakfast Burrito - Talk about portions, this breakfast burrito is loaded with ingredients, eggs among many other ingredients, super flavorful and savory. It does have a bit of a kick to it which adds to the taste, pretty good! 8.5/10 Overall, a solid brunch spot, although a bit expensive, it's still worth to check them out. Pretty decent tasting potato balls, breakfast burrito is big in portion and delicious as well, along with their empanadas which can be a hit or miss depending on the style of empanadas you like. Definitely a good spot for a snack even if you're in the area.

We tried their lomito saltado and arrocito norteno. They didn't provide any aji sauce for the lomito (surprising) but were quick to bring some when we requested it. The beef was very tender! So although definitely more expensive than more casual Peruvian spots, we could taste the quality. I also loved the arrocito norteno, as I love seafood paella, and this was basically that. The scallops and octopus were so good! This place is a bit more luxe than the other Peruvian places I've tried before, which is reflected in their price. Although we were there in the day, I could imagine this place being a cute date spot at night. Glad to try this main stay in Long Beach and would recommend for a bit more upscale meal (although no pressure to dress nice at all, just seems like that vibe).

We parked in the back and they had a few spots back there but there is street parking as well close by. The place has a cool vibe and loved that it was open on the outside and tables outside as well. As you enter you wait for them to sit you down. We went to have dinner and it's their 5pm-8:30 service time. We got there right when they opened and they sat us down pretty quick. I would have loved to have a copy of the menu's but they had a scan code to see their menu. Later on as more people arrived they asked for a menu and wish that would have been the case for my parents that aren't so savy with technology. We ordered some of their drinks they had and their Maracuya sour was amazing I'll leave it at that. You must get one. Their chicha morada was great and not too sweet. We got a few appetizers and they were delicious. Everything we got from Tallarines verdes, plantains, crab cakes and other items were 10/10 no complaints about that one that stood out for me was their beet Salad that was SO delicious and right up my alley. For dinner we got their Mariscos platter and comes with a side of white rice. Their burger they had on there was different but very flavorful the fact the plantains it had in the burger worked is beyond me, It's a must grab. Their Lomo Saltado is a bit on the pricier side but the quality of meat is fantastic very tender and not chewy at all. Their pollo Saltado was good as well but the other one was better. Love that the fries came separate usually when they come together they are super soggy. Flavor and all it was perfection. Their empanadas were great as well great ratio of meat inside. When it comes to food there are no complaints at all the food is AMAZING. They had one person Taking orders, getting drinks and bringing food out and later another joined. There was a time it did get very busy and felt the service from the waiter got from nice to just MEH and it's as if she didn't want to be there or she was overwhelmed to be honest with the amount of tables she was serving. When it was time to pay this is the part I was thrown off and honestly is keeping me from coming back in a group honestly. Our bill was a bit over $300 and also understandable a party of 6 or more they add the Tip and all that's fine but the fact they didn't let us split the check in 2 was honestly Stupid and I've never seen that before. If they would have disclosed that I wouldn't have came here. It was heavy for one person to just take that cut honestly. When we were at that point in our service and asked for to go boxes she was just plain rude. We asked for small to go's for the sauces and asked for 1 more if possible and straight out she was it's a $2 charge.. it could have been said a different way or just on the house it's a small side of sauce. We had a great dinner and then the service just made us leave not wanting to come back..

We'd be happy to come down again in traffic, because it's absolutely worth the drive here. Some find the pizza sizes small or the prices high in comparison to your average pizza joint - but your average, everyday pizza place in California is just...ew. Their crust is very thin, Neapolitan style in a brick oven, beautiful and a little chewy, slightly-charred from the brick oven. Amazing texture. Traditionalists, so we just got the Margherita and Bianco, adding some mushrooms and a drizzle of truffle. SOO good. We also tried the fried zucchini blossoms, which were very light and not oily at all. Caesar salad was very delicious and fresh, also had the octopus, which was perfectly grilled and like eating steak. To finish, we had some amazing coffee with tiramisu. Wow. The server did not check on us or apologize to us that it was taking a while for the food to come out until she saw the frustration on our face and inform us the food is almost ready! 45 minutes later, she brought out the empanadas and I received two chicken and one shrimp... it was OK with the help of the sauces that was given. The shrimp ceviche was actually good, the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Here's the thing, the menu does not have prices on it and when we received the bill, the ceviche was $22! For the amount and for what it was, it was not worth it. The whole experience was horrible.

This place has tasty and authentic food. The empanadas were fire and service was great. They have…read moregreat music, ambiance and authentic treats of all kinds.

What can I say? Tantalum = tantalizing…read more From start to finish, everything is brilliantly curated: atmosphere, menu, staff, and service. They've a waterfront location with the most lush environs and sumptuous atmosphere. Dark & tranquil with a hint of sexy and the bay views - come on now. The menu is so fresh and bursting with Asian flavors, and nothing was too heavy. Do try the hoisin ribs - so tender - and the chicken wraps, which were so bright; the burger was also a hit. For the table, the Buddha Rice - hearty and perfect to split. Their staff was all fantastic and it starts at the top. Manager Joe brings a genuine touch to every guest encounter -- he's rich for conversation, so grab him when he makes his rounds and allow him to suggest a fantastic wine pairing. Beautiful service all around. Also worth noting: while they're perfect for enjoying date night, they can easily accommodate larger groups as well. It may have been a rehearsal dinner or joint bachelor/ette they were hosting, but either way, they were entertaining a large party who were also having a blast. Wonderful energy, great vibes. Looking forward to visiting with friends soon!

First off, I want to say the manager and the receptionist was outstanding, best service I've had in…read morea while, and our server was awesome, they were friendly, genuinely nice and they really enjoy their job, very attentive, efficient and courteous. Ambiance is nice, very romantic by the water, you can see the sunset while enjoying cocktails or a glass of wine. Food was good, I had the miso glazed mahi-mahi, I would prefer a side of salad instead of 2 cups of mashed potato, sauce was a little on the sweet side for my taste. My husband had the Scottish salmon, and he cleaned his plate, the sweet potato hash w/ pancetta was yummy.. it enhanced the taste of the salmon. My sister in-law had the pan seared scallops, I also think that the side should be optional instead of rice and there was only a few pieces of the scallops. My brother his friend had the Wasabi crusted filet mignon, which they've enjoyed but also should have options for the sides, not everyone like mashed potato, the mushrooms was a bit salty, maybe better with shitake & asparagus. We have the calamari and warm fried brie which were delicious :) Maybe they can add the fried tofu as an appetizer instead of brussels, just a suggestion. I've had the Tahitian Sunset which was too sweet for my taste but you can taste the flavor of the passion fruit , the strawberry fields was better, maybe next time I will try the cucumber crush... I will highly recommend this place, you will definite enjoy yourself with a singer/band performing while you enjoy the food.
