The atmosphere here is very swanky, great place if you want to take a date. There is seating in an enclosed patio where you can watch the sunset. Inside there is a bar with limited seating. The cocktails here are amazing, always well balanced and great presentation. They explain each drink by its flavor profile. The bartender Tony was very knowledgeable and a joy to chat with. The food on the other hand doesn't blow me away. I've only been here twice and each time I came away disappointed by the food. The presentation is great but the food is always a little off balance. Some needed more salt, more acid or were just underwhelming for the price. Watched KTLA 5 couple days ago introduce the Newport Beach location. I did a search and found this Long Beach location. They are also dog allowed and have an indoor outside patio for customers who wants to bring their dogs. My dogs were sitting in their cart. I have been craving paella for years and I saw their paella menu. I ordered the Paella Mixta and asked our server, Grace, to separate the shrimp for me due to my allergy to specific seafoods. We ordered a total of four items and they are all delicious. The restaurant is in a nice area outside a shopping center. We decided to come to this location again soon and try other specialties. I love their Monthly Special. Mom wants to try the monthly special or their "Famous Fiesta Paella" next time. read more

It was my first time dining here and I made a phone call reservation for a friday night (6:30pm). I got seated outside in the shade but still overly hot because heatwave; I asked the server if i could be seated at the bar and my wish was granted. I didn't know that the price for the DineLa menu ($55pp / dinner) included all the tapas so that definitely exceeded my expectations. I ordered The Tourist drink with vodka instead and it was perfect. All the tapas are delicious, while eating I asked the bartender (Toni) and the manager if I could swap out the tuna taco for another wagyu empanada and they did (I don't eat raw fish); which made me really happy and appreciated knowing that the staff are doing their best to accommodate the guest!! I ended up getting the paella mixta, my first time ever having paella and I really enjoyed it, chicken was a bit on the drier side but didn't bother me too much. The dessert was fantastic. My wife, son, and I had an absolutely amazing lunch here, and I can honestly say this is one of those restaurants where we were already talking about coming back before we even finished our meal! It was hot outside so we asked to be seated next to the windows, which were open allowing us to remain cool and feel the ocean breeze. We started with the Jamón Ibérico de Bellota, Spanish Albóndigas, and Pan con Tomate with chorizo butter. Everything was delicious, but the Pan con Tomate with that chorizo butter was incredible. Such a simple dish, but packed with flavor. We paired everything with the Teleferic Sangria, which was refreshing, not overly sweet, and went perfectly with the tapas. For my entree, I ordered the Wagyu Ribeye Chuletón, fire-grilled asador style and served with patatas and piquillo peppers. I love a good steak and usually order mine somewhere between medium-rare and medium, so getting the temperature right is a big deal for me. They absolutely nailed it. The steak was perfectly cooked, incredibly tender and juicy, with a great char and tons of flavor from the grill. Not much else you can ask for from a ribeye! My wife ordered the chicken kebab with sofrito hummus, and that was another winner. The chicken was tender, well-seasoned, and packed with flavor, and the sofrito hummus was a great complement to the dish. Overall, we had an amazing experience. Great Spanish food, great sangria, and most importantly, everything we ordered delivered. There wasn't a single dish we wouldn't order again. Cocktails are $4 off and I had Fancy a Carrot Cocktail - Easily one of the most unique and refreshing drinks I've had. It may not be for everyone, but I absolutely loved it! Ahi Tuna Salad & Tuna Tacos - Light, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. These are quite similar in taste, so I recommend that you get either or. Each dish was $12 each. Patatas Bravas - This was very savory and the best app I've tasted! Chicken Kabab - This was grilled perfectly and I liked the hummus and bread that came with it. Paella Mixta - The ultimate grand finale. This is basically a smaller version of the paella, which allows you to taste one of their signature dishes. This was good but not fantastic. It didn't have enough protein in it. Trio Selection of desserts (not a happy hour item). We couldn't decide what we wanted so this sampler platter was the obvious choice! The churros was the clear winner, it was crispy and fresh cooked. The orange mousse is visually appealing and the French toast missed the mark for us. However, I was say seasoning/salting was off because the paella had pockets of more salty rice than other areas, the patatas bravas and wagyu empanadas could've had more flavor. Teleferic Barcelona is a fun date night vibe kinda place. There is free parking for 90 minutes as it is in 2nd and PCH. I've come here twice and enjoyed it both times. I am Spanish and just visited my family in Spain this year, and while this restaurant isn't quite as good as the food in Spain, it definitely has some great dishes! We did the DineLA menu and ordered a free extra dishes (which I didn't get a photo of those). We started with the tuna tacos, the patatas bravas, and the wagyu empanadas. The empanadas were the stand out! So good! The patatas bravas were great too but I never love the little bowl the potatoes come in, it's very hard to mix everything up properly. The tuna tacos are like poke nachos but in taco form. We next had the gambas, the crab croquetas, and the Spanish octopus. The Spanish octopus was the star of this course. So good! The croquetas were not as good as I remembered, but they have a great creamy texture. The gambas were sadly a huge let down. The flavor was completely off. We had Iberico ham and pan con tomate next, which was great, they paired so well together. We had the lobster paella and the lobster itself was delectable. Unfortunately the rice tasted burnt to my friend, and I agreed that something was definitely off with the rice. But the shrimp on the paella was also very beautifully cooked. The octopus on the paella was unfortunately overcooked. We ended with a torrija which is like a French toast meets a bread pudding. We didn't love the overpowering orange flavor on top, but we loved the rest of the dessert. We each enjoyed a flight of sangria. So good! Definitely recommend! There is a traditional sangria, a strawberry lemonade-esque sangria, and a jalapeño lime one which is different but so good too. The service is excellent here! Everyone is so nice. My friend and I came here to celebrate our 15th year friendship anniversary!! We got wagyu empanadas which were her favorite. The portion was too small for me to fully enjoy to be honest. The salmon tartare was great, really fresh. The spanish albóndigas (meatballs) were also good but the sauce threw me off a bit. My favorite was the buratta bowl with seared tuna filet. There was a lot more burrata than we were expecting, and not enough of everything else, but I thought it tasted really well with the tuna, strawberry, and apple. Perfect balance of sweet and savory. Lesson learned - don't order the pan con tomate to go. I'm not sure what happened / if I even received the right thing - when I dined at the Newport Beach location I remember this being delicious - salty, savory and just a hint of sweetness from the tomatoes. Telefèric Barcelona - Honest Review The food was good, but honestly, it wasn't quite what I expected, especially considering the price. It's definitely on the expensive side. That said, the place itself is really nice and cozy, which makes for a pleasant atmosphere. One thing that was frustrating was the wait. We waited around 30 minutes even though there were plenty of vacant tables. I'm not really sure why it took that long. During our meal, the waitresses kept coming over asking how the food was, if we needed anything, or if we wanted a new plate. I understand they were trying to provide good service, but it became a little annoying after a while. Sometimes, we just want to relax, enjoy our food, and take in the atmosphere without being interrupted repeatedly. One good thing: parking is free, which is definitely a plus. This was pretty difficult place to find as we walked around the mall and found out the entrance was on the outside. This restaurant specializes in Spanish tapas style, so it's good to share here. Wagyu Empanada (5/5): Super packed with meat and flavorful. The crust was baked to perfection Crab Croquettas (5/5); filled with crab and topped with tuna sashimi. I found the sashimi unnecessary but the crab filling was flavorful. Iberian oysters (4/5): Amazing presentation with the dry ice, but I felt like the oysters were not very tender and kind of hard. The flavor from the oyster was mild, but the sauce was good. Grilled octopus (5/5): This was so amazing. The meat was tender and the spices complemented it well. Prime Wellington (5/5); This probably won't make you fool but wow this was great. I really liked the meatballs. Paella Negra (5/5): Now time for the headliners. This had seafood mixed with squid ink. How exciting we have a Spanish restaurant in north San Diego! The place is beautifully decorated, airy and open. It can get really loud as people gather to drink and eat. The food was really authentic. The Spanish albondigas were tender and flavorful. Lobster Paella was the star of the show. Seafood and rice were perfectly cooked. It's been awhile since we had this visit. But I remember really enjoying it. I had been to the one in Los Angeles. Which was good. But this experience surpassed that for sure. My fiancé and I came on Valentine's Day, on a whim, on our way to a show. Not knowing how crazy and packed the place would actually be. We went up to the hostess and explained the situation, and at first it was an "impossible." But the hostess or manager (I think her name was Mariate or something similar), somehow made it work. There was a table next door to the entrance, that I'm assuming they didn't really use because of placement. But she was able to seat us there at the perfect time. Super grateful for that! Our waiter, I think Alvaro, was really nice. He explained the menu and had different recommendations. We got a few speciality cocktails. And tried the Sangria flight (my personal fave, must try them all!) I got the spicy tuna tacos and garlic shrimp plate. My fiancé is vegan, so I'm not sure what he got but I remember he really liked it! The decor inside is beautiful. The location is great. All the staff was kind. came for Dine LA with friends as they've eaten here couple of times and really liked their food. we came in before our 6pm reservation on a Friday night. not too many people, but we were seated at the 1/2 booth&1/2 table against the wall, immediately next to another table of 2 people eating. The entire restaurant was pretty empty and we were seated next to another party? and the booth seats are an head shorter than the 2 chairs so we had uneven seats across the table. We asked to change to a regular table so we can be more comfortable. we thought we'd order 2 DineLA menu and add 2 orders from regular menu to try more dishes, but we were told if we want Dine LA, everyone at the table have to order Dine LA. don't know if this is normal Dine LA practice but I didn't like the restrictions. each person gets all 5 appetizers, and two people share 1 paella flavor. the appetizers came one dish at a time: Tuna Tacos: we each get a taco, but the tuna was sooo salty that we had to drink the whole cup of water to wash it down potatoes: 2pp shared a whole cup of fried potatoes with sauce that tasted like marinara sauce. none of us finish our portions as we didn't want to fill our tummy with all the carbs. wagyu empanadas: the ONLY dish that tasted good and flavorful. Brought my partner her for their birthday. We are tapas fanatics so maybe a but bias. The hostess was solid. Greeted upon entry and very friendly. They accommodated a birthday cake fridge request which I appreciated. Finally it was cool that the manager came around to each table with a taste of sangria. Now the negatives: Heat- after about 20 minutes at our table we found out the window behind all tables were open but ours. I proceed to ask to have it happened and the waiter asks me to help him open the window as it's heavy...odd request for a customer. In addition there were atleast 4 times during the meal where our empty plates were not cleared for 15-20 minutes at a time when new food was brought out which made it hard to enjoy food at times. Now to the food. It was all edible however for example the patatas bravas was mush and not crispy at all. The meatballs were more like Italian meatballs rather than anything resembling Spanish flavoring. And the garlic shrimp had no taste of garlic. Which was odd. Overall it was an OK meal but thats about it a 3.5 at best. My partner was disappointed with the meal overall. I was just ok with it. I wouldn't recommend them if you want true Spanish tapas. I avoid restaurants with auto gratuities even for small parties of even 2 but apparently this policy was changed. Parking is challenging and no validations. I decided to give it a shot for Dine LA week. Food was just so so. Worst part was we were seated next to people that brought in a large dog. My dining partner is allergic to dogs and the woman with the dog would not control her dog and we had to dine with a dog azz in our face. I had to speak up to the woman to move the dog. And not once but two times the dog escaped and ran wild in the restaurant. I wanted to like this place but I don't see any reason to come back. Lets start with the positive. The place is beautifully decorated, the ambiance is wonderful and the music is on point. That said, I regrettably must give my personal experience here a 1 star. When we were seated our Waiter appeared disengaged and in a hurry to get us ordering. He was incredibly unfriendly as well. At first, I thought it was my imagination my my party also noticed and commented on his attitude. We placed our order for drinks and he didn't even crack a smile. The drinks came back, mine was ok but one of the drinks in the part wasn't and we asked the waiter if could change it. He was so rude and made us feel so uncomfortable. The replacement cocktail was much better. Next, the meal: while we asked for recommendations becuase it was our first time the waiter failed to adequately describe the various dishes we inquired about. We took our chances and ordered the Patatas bravas, which were the highlight of the meal. next, we had the paella and it was not good. the rice was hard (Undercooked) and felt more burnt then anything else. The meat was over cooked...specifically the roasted pork. However, the pork belly was cooked correctly. we ordered the shrimp, which was not deveined and really had little to no flavor (Very surprising.) We were never checked on by our wait during our meal. Our water glasses were never refilled until just before the check and we were never asked if we wanted a second drink. There were a few more small inconveniences as well but I won't mention them...it just added to the overall disappointment. all in all, the meal was lackluster. I really wanted to like the food...I honestly tried hard to overlook certain things about the evening but in the end, it didn't feel like we were in Spain or eating real Spanish tapas & Pallela. Really love Teleferic! Beautiful ambiance, lots of parking out front, staff is very friendly. Food is terrific! Lots of small dishes to share and choose from. The paella is amazing. And the drinks are fire-really good mocktails too! We love bringing guests from out of town here. read more

Teleferic Barcelona is a Spanish restaurant with locations in Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Barcelona. Their tapas and sangrias are delicious, and it's a great way to enjoy good food and drink with good company. Service is slower and deliberate, so plan for a longer meal; however, I think it's because tapas and drinks are meant to be enjoyed and savored amongst good company. Prices are quite high; however, a great time to check out the menu is during Dine LA week, which is going on through Friday, February 6. They have $35 and $55 menus that give you a strong sampling of the menu. For what they offer in Dine LA, you'd easily be paying double on any other week. I highly recommend getting a sangria here as it's very flavorful and delicious. If you're coming in a group, definitely get their sangria flight. My wife prefers the spicy sangria and I like the sweeter Sangria Barcelonetta; however, their telerferic sangria is more red wine forward. If you get a paella, then you should ask for a crispy "socarrat" so that you don't get rice with mushy textures. Their seafood was a little underdone for my preferences; therefore, I prefer their pork paellas to their lobster paellas. I think their paella mixta has a nice balance between the textures of pork and seafood. For dessert, I'm not really a fan of their torrija; however, their churros are enjoyable as they're filled with chocolate and caramel. read more

To start, this place is beautiful and in a great, easy to find location. Our hostess was friendly and very welcoming, along with each of the staff. Overall, the food was good but a bit underwhelming. We ordered the wagyu empanadas which were good but would have loved them to be crispy rather than soft. Additionally we had the Brussel sprouts which were perfect and a must try, the cheese and sauce made it extra delish. For our entree we shared the Paella Negra which had squid ink rice, shrimp, baby clams, baby scallops and broccolini. This dish was tasty but also we just expected more from it. We were asked if we wanted rice that was crunchy and you can scrape off the pan and we said yes but the rice was soft and not at all crunchy. There was 6 large shrimp, 6 small clams and the baby scallops were so tiny we thought they were pieces of garlic. Aside from the big shrimp, you are left with mostly more rice than anything else since the clams and scallops were so tiny. Even with the empanadas and brussel sprouts it was not a lot but I see the potential on each dish. This was also the first night of their new menu so of course there may be an opportunity to adjust some of the food. read more
