Honestly first things first, My group and ai hesitantly chose this spot because we knew nothing about it at first but as soon as we arrived. The vibes were immaculate , the service is quick even during a busy time. Although our server Roque would have to be the hands down best server I've had thus far in my experience in dining out. We started with the cholitos and potatoes appetizer with guacamole and chips, and everything was delicious. For my entrée, I had the fish tacos, which were fresh, crunchy, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was especially fun with a Día de los Muertos theme, live music, and a DJ that kept the energy going. The cantaritos are a specialty and are definitely worth trying--you can even share one with another person! We used to come here when it was a different restaurant and always thought of giving this place a try. We came here and ordered the Leche de Tigre, grilled fish bowl and the shrimp a la diabla pasta. Food was really good. Nice sized portions, nothing negative about it. You also get complimentary chips and salsa. Service was good but there were times we would have to wait a bit to get a box or the check. Aside from that it was good, everyone was friendly. Ambiance was good, very lively and good music. Only thing is that If you're seated outside you're going to have to battle with flies. The bar area has little fan things to somewhat help but the tables don't so keep your arms on a swivel. Buen Provecho was definitely one of the highlights of my LA trip! My friend and I stopped in for lunch on a Thursday, and Abbie immediately brought great energy. She was super helpful with the menu and gave us some solid recommendations. We started by sharing the Yellowfin Tuna Tostadas, which were fresh and a great way to start the meal. Then we each ordered the Costillas Nortenas and OMG...easily one of the BEST meals I had while visiting LA! The ribs were packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. We came here for dinner as a group and were seated quickly, and at a large enough table that accommodated us perfectly. The staff was nice, and as business picked up attentive. The menu has small font, so it is kinda hard to read if you're trying to get full details of whats all included. I ordered the enchiladas suizas, and while the green salsa is usually mild, this one does have a kick to it. There wasnt any sort of notation of "extra spicy" so one of my coworkers was caught off guard and had to order something else. Like I mentioned, enchiladas suizas are usually mild so thats what caught them off guard. The flavor was good, it was very cheesy and will fill you up. If you wanted extra sides like frijoles and arroz you'd have to order those separately. I also want to give a shout out to whoever made the playlist because it added to the environment. Let me start by saying that I have been waiting to try this place out since I had first read about it opening up about a year ago and the tons of good reviews simply don't do it justice. We were shopping that day in Long Beach and looking for some place to eat and to be honest we were literally going to walk by it because we had planned on going somewhere else, but what stopped us was the nicest and friendliest host named Fidel that you could hope to meet. He was so welcoming from the start that he is literally the reason we changed our plans and I'm sooo glad that we did. The food was absolutely incredible, the drinks were fantastic, the vibe and look of the restaurant was an experience in itself, the entertainment was sublime and the entire staff were so friendly, but what wrapped up the entire time there in a bow was our unbelievably attentive funny and charismatic server Bryan. Happy to have tried this place! Came here on a Sunday evening after the World Cup final and was surprised we didn't have to wait for seating. My friends and I ordered 2 appetizers to share (asada nachos and honey wings) and then each got an entree. The nachos were amazing! The chips were crunchy and the cheese sauce was addicting! We added asada for an extra charge and it was worth it! The honey wings were good and flavorable but a little well done for my taste. My entree I ordered an asada burrito, while my friends ordered the enchilada and torta. Everyone enjoyed their food and with everything on the table it was definitely a lot of food were we had to take it to go. For drinks, we went with the cantaritos for 2! We thought it was a clay pitcher to share and pour but it was a giant clay pot with 3 straws. And even though it was for 2, there was so much in there that even with 3 people we didn't finish the drink. Went out for lunch with coworkers for lunch, and decided to come here because we were craving some Mexican food. It's location is great within the promenade, there is a nearby parking structure that gives free parking for the first 2 hours too. Seating includes indoor as well as outdoor patio, we opted for indoor. For starters, we ordered the chips and salsa. They have 3 different salsas (red, green, and chili oil). Love the salsas, but not a fan of the oil. The chips themselves are also perfectly fine eating alone, since they were flavored with some seasoning. I ordered the carne asada burrito, and it was phenomenal. The portion size was big, just right for one person. The carne asada meat was perfectly seasoned, and complimented well with the guac, cheese, and other additions. Interestingly enough, that was shredded carrots in there too but it was not so bad of a taste. The burrito itself was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, a great combination of textures. For drinks, we had two margarita pitchers. The watermelon flavor was really really good, and the prickly pear was also splendid. Each pitchre is estimated to serve four people, comes with four small glasses with ice and lime salt. Our waiter was very polite, and accommodating for some of our later party members. He frequently checked in on us asking if we needed anything else and made sure we were satisfied with our experience at the restaurant. Overall, a really great experience and would recommend. He loved the drink and wanted me to write that they make their drinks very strong. He was feeling it a bit after just one. The mango agua was soooo good. If only it could be colder. The food was the best part. The entire thought was my least favorite. The salsas were great however be prepared to have a spicy mouthful of flavor. I got the torta and omg it was amazing. If you want quality carne asada that is so juicy and tender, you need to get the torta. You will feel like a better person after eating it. Also it was so cute to see a small bag of chips with chili. Truly this dish and entire place made me so happy to be Mexican. My partner got the enchilada and it was great too. The salsa wasn't too spicy and the use of blue corn was the perfect touch. And the only reason anyone notices is because I lost my patience and I went up to one of the servers and told them that we have been waiting for quite a while and no one has come to check on us to take our order. What makes this experience worse is there were people seated across from us whom the manager was laughing and dapping 'em up, while while we sat there hungry and confused. I've passed this place several times and always loved the vibe from the outside, so I was really looking forward to finally trying it. I went with some friends, and the earliest reservation we could get was 8:15 PM. In hindsight, we should have stayed at the bar we stopped at beforehand. Unfortunately, the service here was truly awful, and it wasn't just us. Every surrounding table seemed to be experiencing the same issues and openly complaining. After being seated, we ordered drinks and were told our server would bring water and utensils. We waited a solid 20+ minutes and received nothing. Eventually, someone in our party got up and grabbed utensils for the table. When the server finally returned, she brought our drinks, but forgot one of mine and said she'd bring it later. I asked multiple times for water and a straw. Each time, nothing came. I eventually got up myself and went to the bar just to get a straw. Our appetizer arrived; still no water. When our entrees finally came, my patience was gone, and I made a sarcastic comment, which finally prompted her to rush and bring water to the table. At that point, we had planned to order more drinks, but decided we'd rather go somewhere else. I only ate half my burrito, and the running joke at the table was that I might have to walk out with the plate if I wanted a to-go box. This was easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time. There was no apology, no explanation, just consistently poor service from start to finish.
