    Carne asada burrito
    Caovinh L.

Went out for lunch with coworkers for lunch, and decided to come here because we were craving some Mexican food. It's location is great within the promenade, there is a nearby parking structure that gives free parking for the first 2 hours too. Seating includes indoor as well as outdoor patio, we opted for indoor. For starters, we ordered the chips and salsa. They have 3 different salsas (red, green, and chili oil). Love the salsas, but not a fan of the oil. The chips themselves are also perfectly fine eating alone, since they were flavored with some seasoning. I ordered the carne asada burrito, and it was phenomenal. The portion size was big, just right for one person. The carne asada meat was perfectly seasoned, and complimented well with the guac, cheese, and other additions. Interestingly enough, that was shredded carrots in there too but it was not so bad of a taste. The burrito itself was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, a great combination of textures. For drinks, we had two margarita pitchers. The watermelon flavor was really really good, and the prickly pear was also splendid. Each pitchre is estimated to serve four people, comes with four small glasses with ice and lime salt. Our waiter was very polite, and accommodating for some of our later party members. He frequently checked in on us asking if we needed anything else and made sure we were satisfied with our experience at the restaurant. Overall, a really great experience and would recommend. Good times with the coworkers. We'll definitely come here to try some of the other options on their menu..

Last minute dinner plans without reservations and Buen Provecho delivered. Showed up around 9 on a Saturday night with a party of 8. We were sat immediately. Super friendly and helpful staff. The place is lively and welcoming. Beautiful colors and amazing decor. The margaritas didn't disappoint. Well balanced and delicious. I opted for guacamole and chips. Fresh avocado and fresh ingredients. Good chips too. To end the night I had their cheek burrito. Absolutely delicious! Tender juicy meat surrounded with rice and beans. I was super impressed. I honestly can't wait to go back.

Happy to have tried this place! Came here on a Sunday evening after the World Cup final and was surprised we didn't have to wait for seating. My friends and I ordered 2 appetizers to share (asada nachos and honey wings) and then each got an entree. The nachos were amazing! The chips were crunchy and the cheese sauce was addicting! We added asada for an extra charge and it was worth it! The honey wings were good and flavorable but a little well done for my taste. My entree I ordered an asada burrito, while my friends ordered the enchilada and torta. Everyone enjoyed their food and with everything on the table it was definitely a lot of food were we had to take it to go. For drinks, we went with the cantaritos for 2! We thought it was a clay pitcher to share and pour but it was a giant clay pot with 3 straws. And even though it was for 2, there was so much in there that even with 3 people we didn't finish the drink. And I'm not sure if this is a common gesture or it was just a celebration for the game, but our waitress came around with free tequila shots! The whole dinner was a vibe! From the food, drink, atmosphere, I will definitely be back! Hopefully for happy hour next time! Oh and parking is right behind the restaurant in the structure. 2 hours free parking!

I took my family here to celebrate my wife's birthday and Buen Provecho did not disappoint. The vibes were great! The servers were great! And the food was so delicious and flavorful. We ordered the chicken tinga enchiladas, the rack of lamb birria with ramen noodles, and the kids cheeseburger. The rack of lamb birria with ramen noodles was such a unique dish! I love ramen. I love lamb. Together? They're an amazing combo! For drinks, I ordered a pinot noir, and wifey had the strawberry margaritas. They paired very well with the dishes. We were in town because we visited Santa Catalina island. I wished we lived closer I would love to come back soon!

Absolutely amazing. Watched a world cup game here and got the table in front of the big projector screen. Food and drinks were amazing for us 8 people, service was great, and the interior was absolutely gorgeous. So flawless. We saw they have a brunch here so will definitely return.

Spent my 30th birthday having breakfast and enjoying the great vibes at Buen Provecho. Our waitress was beyond helpful, kind, and always came around with the best hospitality. Our breakfast consisted of some delicious chicken flautas and enchiladas suizas with chicken tinga. The enchiladas were served in a small skillet and they were very generous with the cheese! My overall favorite was the pickled onions with the chicken tinga...yummmmm! It was so delicious and mouth watering. We also got a cantarito for two and it's definitely worth the price. I was also spoiled with a few drinks for entering a new era! Overall, I would definitely recommend and will be returning very soon!

From the moment you walk in, the decor steals the show. The lighting is beautifully curated, creating a warm, inviting, and highly photogenic space. Whether you're sitting indoors or enjoying the outdoor setup, the design team deserves full credit--it feels upscale, lively, and incredibly stylish. It's the kind of place where you instantly feel relaxed and want to linger over conversation. The service was also attentive and friendly, adding to the overall pleasant environment. The Food The food lacks the wow factor. Go to Buen Provecho for a fun night out, a gorgeous backdrop, and fantastic ambience. Just keep your expectations grounded when it comes to the menu. It's a perfect spot for drinks and appetizers, even if the main courses leave you wishing for a little more flavor.

If you want the best service with the tastiest food you found the place. We came on Friday around 6pm. It was so lovely and vibrant. The place was filled but we had no wait. Everyone around seemed to be so happy and the ambiance was filled with joy and good vibes. Every dish is about $20. Makes sense due to the area. If you come parking is so easy! Park in one the city of Long Beach garages. Our entire bill post tip was about $80 Now for the experience. First of all the manager goes around to talk with the customers. He is so pleasant and it's clear how much he cares about his job. He talked with us for a brief second and after our appetizer arrived we got feee nachos gifted by the manager after hearing it was our first time My parter got the drink I got the mango agua. He loved the drink and wanted me to write that they make their drinks very strong. He was feeling it a bit after just one. The mango agua was soooo good. If only it could be colder. The food was the best part. The entire thought was my least favorite. The salsas were great however be prepared to have a spicy mouthful of flavor. I got the torta and omg it was amazing. If you want quality carne asada that is so juicy and tender, you need to get the torta. You will feel like a better person after eating it. Also it was so cute to see a small bag of chips with chili. Truly this dish and entire place made me so happy to be Mexican. My partner got the enchilada and it was great too. The salsa wasn't too spicy and the use of blue corn was the perfect touch. It reminds us how there exists other corn in Mexico besides yellow!!!! I need to come back for brunch. I will come back for brunch. We left excited! Truly their happy hour sounds worth it with the price for the tacos. Try to make it and let us know before I tell ya!

We visited this past Saturday 5/16 during dinner time (7pm) with no reservations. We were a little worried as it looked very busy, but we actually got seated right away (group of 4). Everyone was so friendly and our server was great, he gave us recommendations, and checked on us even with a busy restaurant. The food was really good I loved my carne asada tacos! Very very filling and the tortillas were bomb! My partner and mother in law both got the tortas and they enjoyed it as well! The portions are great and taste as well! Now let's talk about the margarita pitcher! Wow they do not skip out on the alcohol (you know how some pitchers you get are watery, doesn't even taste like there's any tequila in it? Yah well not here). We got the fresa margarita and it was perfect not too sweet and well balanced! Split between my mother in law and me we had a gooood time lol (but it's made for 4 ) As for ambiance it was great they played good music and we really enjoyed ourselves. I would definitely be back again I would love to come try the brunch!

Uhhhh I love this place ! The food here never disappoints , I always go back for the aguachiles they have , the yellow tuna tostadas are also really good , I will say tho , we wishe there was more tuna then the sauce on top , our waitress was really sweet , she recommended us different wines / sangria to try , El agua de mango was a little watered down but you know what it worked out in the end cause it was really hot that day lol . Over all they really did so well in decorating the inside , it's so comforting especially knowing the backstory of this place . It's like stepping in your favorite tios house lol anyways , see you guys soon !

Food: 7/10 Service: 5/10 Ambiance: 7/10 I went with my husband last Friday for their happy hour. All of the happy hour tacos are bomb, especially the carnitas taco. The flautas are delicious too. Unfortunately, the service was absolutely terrible. We were sitting at the bar, which is not that large and it's quite open, for 10 minutes before being served. And the only reason anyone notices is because I lost my patience and I went up to one of the servers and told them that we have been waiting for quite a while and no one has come to check on us to take our order. What makes this experience worse is there were people seated across from us whom the manager was laughing and dapping 'em up, while while we sat there hungry and confused. I was considering using this place for my birthday dinner, but after experiencing that level of service I don't think I will return.

Everything was going normally until I got to the sauce options at the end. The employee asked if I wanted barbecue sauce or hot sauce. I didn't hear her clearly at first and said "mild," and she responded in an irritated tone that it was either barbecue sauce or hot sauce. I told her I had never seen the barbecue sauce before and asked what it looked like. She repeatedly just said "it looks like barbecue sauce" instead of simply showing it to me or explaining it. I even asked if she could show me the sauce, and she still responded dismissively and seemed annoyed that I was asking basic questions before deciding what I wanted on my food. What made the interaction worse was that there wasn't even a line or rush happening at the time. I wasn't trying to hold anything up -- I just wanted to know what I was ordering. The receipt listed the employee name as "Estuardo," although the employee helping me was a woman, so the register name may not match the actual employee. I'm leaving this review as constructive feedback because a little patience and friendliness goes a long way with customers.

So glad I finally got to stop by many years later for dinner! Parking was easy (on a weeknight). Plenty of street parking and many open meters but I can see it being very difficult on weekends. Bake in some time to find parking! There's both indoor and outdoor seating at this location. This inside is cozy and there's a second room for additional seating. I went on a Thursday night and it was slammed. They do not take reservations but they do have a waitlist via toast that you can join while you walk around and wait for your table. Plenty to do and see on 2nd street. We ordered the party platter for 4 people! It was the perfect amount of food with leftovers to take home. Everything was cooked to PERFECTION. Our beef was a textbook medium rare and was so juicy and tender, as was the rest of the meat. The chicken was so moist and flavorful, as was all the shawarma. All meats were seasoned beautifully. The rice underneath was stunning as well and really caught all the juices from the meat on top. The roasted tomatoes, onions, and pickles were the perfect compliments to help freshen up the palette during the meal. The sauces were amazing and there was a clear favorite (the garlic sauce) which was annihilated by all four of us. Service was friendly! It was very packed so it was slow at times but understandably so. They come by and give you orange blossom water for your hands post meal - what a treat! We smelled amazing! NO NOTES FOR OPEN SESAME! I have to come back with more friends! We did have an issue but it was with another patron who had the audacity to yell at my table (while I was in the restroom) for "having too much fun"?!?! This is a public restaurant and it was loud as hell in there because it's tight and everyone talks over each other, not to mention the open kitchen. The energy in the restaurant is exciting and frenetic. If you want a quiet dinner f*cking STAY HOME and leave the streets to those of us who have had a WEEK and want to enjoy a fun dinner with friends. We will be back and we will have even MORE FUN, xoxo.

Ambiance (5/5): Although we didn't sit inside, it was super cute, with classy boho vibes. The restroom was clean and well-decorated (although, not gonna lie, I don't know how I felt about the big mirror facing the toilet). The outside patio area was airy, and although right by the street, I didn't find it unpleasant. Service (3/5): It was just so-so. They sat us down quickly, gave us our menus and checked on us maybe twice. It wasn't super busy, but we had to wait to ask for things like extra plates and water for our dog. Food Overall (5/5): Food was delicious. We got the beef shawarma lunch special and got fries for the side (extra charge) and also the chicken shawarma lunch special with the hummus side. Beef Shawarma (4/5): It had a nice toasty flavor, perhaps from the spices, and the pickled veggies really complemented it. My only complaint was that I wish it had a bit more of the white sauce (maybe adding more hummus would have helped). It was also strangely a bit watery, maybe from the veggies. Overall, it was still a yummy wrap. Chicken Shawarma (5/5): The chicken shawarma tasted more balanced to me overall. I don't recall the meat being dry, although I did also slather it with a bit of hummus. I thoroughly enjoyed this wrap. Fries side (5/5): Their fries are made in house and it tastes so fresh. It was crispy on the outside yet still gooey and moist on the inside. I'm not sure if they make their own ketchup too, as it looked clumpier and tasted really fresh too. The kids gobbled this up. Hummus and pita (5/5): It came with a generous amount of both hummus and pita. The hummus was well flavored and blended, and it really complemented everything on the table. The pocket pita bread was not what I had in mind (I'm used to thicker ones), but the kids really loved it overall. Ice cream (4.5/5): We ordered two scoops from the dessert menu. They were both really thick, creamy and almost chewy like liquidized mochi. It was a very interesting texture but nonetheless a nice tasty treat on a hot day. I much preferred the vanilla bean, as the pistachio tasted and looked rather artificial (and I'm a pistachio ice cream lover). This place had so many to-go orders during the afternoon we were there. I can see why. Food is super fresh and tasty. I think we will be back the next time we are visiting.

Service was excellent, food amount was generous, and taste was OK...though the KBBQ doesn't really compare well to the ones in K-Town or Garden Grove. Four of us had never been here before, so came on a Wednesday late morning, as soon as they opened at 11am. There is dedicated parking behind the restaurant, where we found spots for our two cars. We were the first customers for the day, and picked a table for six in the front. It was right next to the busy sidewalk (which folks use their bicycles and motorized scooter on), so wouldn't choose this spot next time. But since we wanted to try their KBBQ for six, it was the only spot available. The grill is a typical set-up that you can do at home, with a portable butane canister and a caldron style grill (kinda out of fashion to use as KBBQ these days, especially outside). The party let me order, so ended up getting the following. 1 Seoul Sunrise Fish Bowl ($25) - an agave infused orange, pineapple, grenadine, and soda cocktail with a whole chamisul bottle of soju. Really a nice sight that all of us tried, and we agreed that it was refreshing for a humid day like this day. Moo's Combo (Large for $140) - it had Prime Brisket, Beef Belly, ribeye bulgogi (other choice being Prime Flat Iron), prime kkotsal boneless short rib (other choice being prime marinated boneless galbi). It comes with Corn Cheese (decent), rice cake skewers (good), crispy pork dumpling (kind you buy from h-mart, and cooked well), a small pre-dressed salad, and various banchan. I asked for rice paper (which they were bigger), and each person got a series of 3 dipping sauces (none of them memorable). All the meat came at once, and had to be grilled individually. Because it was warm outside, a lot of the meat became room temperature. The meat quantity was great (more than I expected), but the quality was just OK and nobody at the table really praised the taste too much. For me, it was OK and would try something else on their menu next time. Popcorn Five Spice chicken wings ($17) - on their collaboration menu with Midnight Oil, enjoyed by my wife and her mom. Scallion Pancake ($15.99) - it was OK, a large amount with 6 generous slices...just wish it was a lot thinner, with more scallions and crispiness. 2 Orders of Busan Mackerel ($9.99 each) - I had gotten this last time, and really liked it, so wanted to share with my other Korean dining partners. It was just OK this time, not as crispy as before. Note that it has a lot of pin bones that weren't all removed. We were able to refill the banchan and I took advantage for my favorites. I really like the kimchi here, and will always eat a lot of the fish cake (which I really like here). They use Toast as the POS, and the large bill was accurate, including a 18% gratuity since we were a party of six. What I really liked about it, was that even though it was very slow (we were the only customers dining in so early in the afternoon), the service and food quality was the same as what I would expect at a busier time. And their menu is as diverse and varied as any I've seen at Korean restaurants. Overall a good experience: would try their lunch specials next time, sitting inside.

Hands down one of the best Mediterranean meals I've had in Long Beach…read more Everything we ordered was incredible. The lamb chops were the star of the meal--perfectly seasoned, savory, juicy, and beautifully grilled with that fresh, smoky barbecue flavor. The hummus was a 10/10: silky smooth, topped with whole chickpeas, and full of rich, authentic flavor. The rice deserves its own mention. It was light, fluffy, buttery, and perfectly cooked--not sticky at all. Paired with the fresh salad, it balanced the meal perfectly. For drinks, the sorbet drink was so refreshing, and the pomegranate tea was outstanding with bright, fruity notes that made it the perfect way to end the meal. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful. Sitting outside on the sidewalk felt cozy and romantic, and the decor inside genuinely made me feel like I was back in Turkey. The restaurant is spotless (including the restrooms), and the customer service was warm, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. If you're looking for authentic Turkish and Mediterranean food in Long Beach, this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back for those lamb chops!

The service was quick, and the menu was easy to order from. The only downside is that parking can be a little difficult to find, but there is street parking and nearby parking lots around the restaurant. I also loved the wall art and overall vibe. Highly recommend checking this place out! We ordered: * Canned Watermelon Frusecha from the fridge - $3.99 * Quesarito Burrito with asada - $19.99 * Added Flamin' Hot Cheetos, nacho cheese, and dusting for an extra $3.99 * Hot Cheetos Balls with sour cream - $20.99

There's nothing else that I can say about this place other than the food sucks and the reviews were very misleading. Only thing I will say is that the staff was kind enough to take my order through the phone so that I can grab and go. I will say that my boyfriend did order tacos and he said he enjoyed the shrimp tacos. But this is my Yelp account not his lol but just wanted to put it out there. Also, it seems that the owner of this place really cares about his business because he reached out to me to try to make things right. Love that. Continue to put love and care into your business., I'm sure it was just an off day and possibly I will be willing to try it again in the future.
