There were so many choices and I've had this place bookmarked for so long that I think we just panicked lol (to be honest I think we thought we could eat more than we could and had expectations of eating a lot of different things) We got the Caesar salad. I saw this place on TikTok and had to give it a try. Unfortunately, I was so disappointed. I truly had high hopes based on some of the videos that I had seen, the people in line outside raving about this, and the reviews online. My first complaint is ordering at the register. I have strong feelings about this in general, and it kind of leaves a weird expectation to order and tip in an uncomfortable manner, when it's not a table service experience. In addition to that, we were sat outside and they really need to add something to implement bug and fly control. The patio itself was beautiful and I did enjoy the ambience, besides having flies constantly in your food. The pricing here... insane. If the food was melt in your mouth good, I could easily justify, but for 1 salad, 1 order of bread and an 1 entree and tip, the total should not have been $90. The small Mexican coke was $6... that's insane. I can appreciate that they are locally sourcing food and I would hope they are paying their employees well, and everyone so taken care of. But overall, the value of money and quality of food did not do it for me. I did notice the portions on the salad were inconsistent based off of the other tables around us. I would hope for a $22 salad, I would have liked to have a little bit more. I think there is an illusion that the salad is big based on the fact that the lettuce is not cut and they put an absorbent amount of cheese on top. (Don't get me wrong, I love cheese, but they did not give a chance for the dressing to stand on its own) The bread and butter were the only thing I will say was good. Solid 7/10. I think if they added garlic and pepper into dipping oil, it was elevate this a bit. The fact that this is served warm definitely adds to the taste. The "fresh" made gnocchi is house.. was not good. This dish was a ricotta gnocchi. For nearly $30, this was the smallest plate of pasta I have ever gotten. I continued to look around and everyone got extremely small portions of pasta. That aside.. this gnocchi was not good and too undercooked. The sauce tasted honestly like a chef boyardee sauce, with a little bit of a fish after taste, and no ricotta. It did taste like slight parm, which, even if a little bit more Parmesan was added, maybe this would've tasted a bit better. But apparently all the Parmesan was reserved only for the salads. (This dish was supposed to have a duck base, but this was not cooked properly) not only was I simply turned off by this dish, there was nobody by to help or even get it to go box. But quite honestly, I just left the food which is so sad. Left over pasta is always so good but I really could not continue eating this as I truly did not enjoy the taste. Thankfully our waitress at breakfast said to get there early. Gabi and I decided to walk there from our hotel, about 45 minutes. We got there early and saw no line but 10 minutes before open, everyone rocked up. Their philosophy is for everyone to wait on line and order at the register to then be seated. To accommodate the line and larger groups, they did let some people sit. When you get up to the register, they let you try every wine. I photographed some of my favs; including the funky orange & chilled red. The lemon pasta, white bean salad, and ceasar were AMAZING and the broccolini came in a nice sauce but it was probably the only thing I wouldn't reorder next time. We loved Due Fiori. We went on a Saturday night 6:30ish and stood in line for about 40minutes. Connor host/server came out repeatedly checking on people in line and ensuring they knew what to expect inside. He told us diversity in order was key as plates came out as ready. It was all served family style. Also, we could sample wine when we placed our order and recommended - Nebbiolo Rosato. After ordering, the host/server took us to a table. We started with Caesar which was covered in Parmesan and delicious. We also had bread & whipped ricotta. For our pastas, we took advantage of LBFSW and ordered the Spaghetti & Meatballs - the meatballs were so flavorful. We also had the Fusilli & Pappardelle a limon - again both were yummy. The last thing to arrive was the Il Diavalo pizza - spicy and yummy. Servers checked in regularly. Outside patio is cute and comfortable. While I enjoy the family style, there should be some coordination in dishes. The Whipped Ricotta should be served with bread. A second set of plates should be offered after appetizers. After seeing so many great reviews about this place, I had to try it myself. I anticipated a long line to get in, as people had been saying that you order and pay at the counter. I showed up around 5pm and sure enough there was already a line forming in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is located around a neighborhood, so you have to find street parking, which can be challenging. I already did my research on what I wanted to order, so my process went fairly smoothly. I imagine some other people were not as prepared and asked a lot of questions at the counter which can make the wait time even longer for other people in line. We ordered caesar salad, pizza focaccia with soppressata, squid ink tonnerelli, and ribeye tagliata. We also ordered some glasses of wine. After ordering, they walked us to our table inside. This location used to be a bbq restaurant- shady grove- before they closed down. And wow I was so impressed by the change of the patio vibe. It looked way nicer now under Due Fuori. I truly believe the vibe of a restaurant is equally important to the quality of the food, and this place nailed it. Also, apparently you can still order more stuff even after you're seated. They don't really have dedicated server for each table but the service was pretty efficient in my opinion. Now the food, everything was delicious, I have no notes! Caesar salad, very good. Pizza, omg amazing. And I'm not a pizza kinda person, so this is really a compliment! It's the thick kind of pizza, and they put some honey on it too which makes it even more delicious to me. Next was the squid ink pasta, another delightful dish. My only complaint is that it's not big enough of a portion, haha! The ribeye tagliata was so good. It was served with some salad that's very refreshing. The server explained to us that the original dish comes with the greens and cherry tomatoes underneath the meat, but they serve it separately to keep the freshness and crunch. The meat has some nice crust on the outside, very flavorful. We ended up taking some of the ribeye home, as we were already really full. It was plenty of food to share between two people. I definitely will come back to try other dishes, especially the other popular pasta dishes. I know it might surprise people to know the Caesar salad is not an Italian thing at all, but it is a very Italian American thing invented right across the border in Tijuana at Caesar Cardini's restaurant 102 years ago this month. So it's fitting that a rendering of that famous salad is making a Long Beach Italian eatery famous 100 years later. Personally I'm not a fan of it just way too much Parmesan and not much else going on with it. But it is fun to look at and have a couple bites and it's more similar to the earlier versions of the Caesar salad. I appreciate that it is not over dressed like so many salads at restaurants can be. The fire roasted snap peas were amazing. We got a seafood pasta dish I can't remember what it was called but it was also delicious. The highlight of the night was Connor and the wine. They set us up with several tastes and enlightened us about this new orange wine trend. He was a fount of knowledge and made the counter ordering experience more fun. I would return for Connor and the wine and snap peas tomorrow. The space is loud, high energy and fully staffed so even though you order at the counter later it feels more like full service. No one really came around to offer more wine or dessert so not sure if they have dessert. Could have gone for another glass of wine but then not getting one saved me $15-18 and I could still ride my bike home. Their bread is supposed to be amazing so have to try that next time. It's all this place on Instagram and wasn't able to put it out of my mind so last night a few of us went and so glad we did. From the great greeting we got when we first arrived to the salutations while leaving it was a pleasant experience. How generous it was to be able to taste the wines right there at the counter while ordering while discovering orange wine!! Never heard of it before in my life. Really amazing customer service, they'll explain the menu to you in line so you're prepared to order at the front. From there, you sit in the back patio area and dishes come out one by one. The menu itself is a bit on the higher end, but it's a great spot to split and share. Cesar salad and sourdough are a must! The pizza looked intriguing but we opted for three pasta dishes instead. Visited a couple times now and both time were super memorable due to the outstanding food, friendly service and great wine options! This is a must when in Long Beach. The only take reservations for parties of 8 or more and if you reserve a table, then you must order a set menu. Otherwise it's walk in only and this place was busy so expect a little wait. We arrived right when they opened and they already had a small line going. It takes a little time because they let you "try" your wine first at the register and you place your food order. Once done, they seat you at a table in the back. It's open air but it was very comfortable and relaxed! Great wines and love how the servers are very knowledgeable and happy to make a recommendation! They let you try various wines to pair the perfect one with your meal. The vibes, colors, aesthetics are dreamy as hell. The food is meant to be shared family style which I loved. There is a whole back area so don't be discouraged by the small front of the restaurant, there's more seating! The line moved relatively fast. The service was great, our waitress was very attentive. The food was amazing! We didn't have much expectations but it exceeded it. We got what the counter recommended which was the scallop crudo, Caesar salad, seafood pasta and pepperoni pizza. We thought the scallop crudo was the weakest, although the scallop was fresh, the dressing it came with didnt really do much? I personally think the star of the night was the Caesar salad! Probably one of the best Caesar salad I've every had. So good that I didn't want to share. Next time I'm ordering it just for myself! We recently had a book club dinner at Due Fiori, and it was such a great choice. I had been once before and loved the back patio, so I was excited to come back -- this time without my baby -- and fully enjoy a night out with the girls. We started with olives, sparkling wine, house sourdough, and the prosciutto and burrata. The bread comes in a cute little cast iron -- warm, fluffy, and perfect alongside the prosciutto and cheese. For mains, we shared two focaccia-style pizzas: the margherita and the fiore di zucca (squash blossom). The squash blossom was my favorite -- it had pancetta, stracciatella, and béchamel, and was such a fun, flavorful combination. We also ordered two pastas to share (we had a vegetarian in the group, so we split one meat and one non-meat dish). The pomodoro was light, fresh, and slightly citrusy, while the baked paccheri was rich and indulgent. Both were delicious, but the paccheri was probably my favorite. For dessert, we had the affogato and cannoli -- and that cannoli filling was so good. The wine was great across the board, and our server was incredibly helpful -- letting us taste wines and guiding us through selections, which we really appreciated. The way this place works is you line up to order, then they give you a number for your table and seat you and then there are waiters and waitresses to bring you your food. As we waited in line they brought us menus and answered any questions we had and had great suggestions/recommendations, they were also super welcoming and friendly, Between the 3 of us we shared the Caesar salad, the sourdough bread, the pepperoni and the Diavola pizzas, the Pappardelle a limone and the mezzi rigatoni pomodoro pastas. This is a really hot, vibey Italian restaurant in Long Beach. I was not surprised to see the long line of people waiting to get in around 6:00 p.m., so I hopped out of the car to join the line while hubby drove around looking for parking. As a really great touch, staff came through the line outside to hand out menus and talk with us about the dishes and answer any questions. The indoor space is small, but inviting. I love the dark, warm colors, and the art started an interesting conversation in our group . Be sure to check out the cool hippo bench and the greeter frog on the bar--both are right up my alley. There is a bar that serves craft beer and wine. The way that it works is that you order at the bar, and then you are seated. When we were finally at the front of the line, they asked if we would mind giving out order at the table after we were seated to help move things along. After we were taken to our table, the server brought his pad out and took our order at our table. Again, he was so helpful answering questions and offering suggestions. He explained that the dishes come out as they are ready, and that most people eat family style, sharing what has arrived at the table as it comes. After we put in our order, we closed out at the same time. That is brilliant! There was no waiting after our meal to close out. We were not very hungry (if I'm being honest, I wasn't at all hungry, but I just really wanted to try his place), so we skipped the antipasti. We ordered: *Baked Ziti Amatriciana *Pappardelle a Limone *Bucatini Caccio e Pepe If it were at all appropriate on yelp, if described all the food as so "f-word"-ing good. The concept was interesting to wait in line and then order all your food up front. I didn't quite have a problem with that but didn't feel like I had a lot of flexibility in food choices when and if inspiration hit afterwards. I believe they have you tip at the counter when ordering food before any service is given or before you're even sat is given which isn't my preference. The other issues was that the table was so small, and the food wasn't coursed out right, the table quickly became over crowded and the servers sort of just drop it whenever without prepping more space beforehand, I felt rushed to box food I wasn't finished with to make room for another incoming dish. We were on the hunt for a bakery and it led us next door to Gusto Bread and upon arrival we realized they're located right next to Due Fiori!!! 3 of the 5 of us have visited Due Fiori for dinner and once we realized we were just mear minutes from them opening for brunch we quickly packed up our baked goodies in the car and saved our bellies for an AMAZING meal . The table shared the following and every plate was licked clean. Their signature ceasar salad, their brunch sourdough with that amazing European butter they're known for and house made jelly, eggs in purgatory, smashed potatoes, an order of bacon, and vanilla yeasted waffles with a side of maple syrup (we loved using the jelly from the sourdough ). We have already planned our return visit so the 2 newbies in our group can have dinner here and have the mouth watering squidink noodles. I have been wanting to check this place out due to seeing it online recently and got here at 5:45 PM and there was already a line forming on a Saturday evening. It went by pretty fast and we got seated in 30 minutes. The concept is interesting because you order first and pay and then get seated. They were very helpful in assisting us with wine tastings which I appreciated! The restaurant ambiance is very unique and the concept is family style. I really enjoyed the sourdough bread and the caesar salad. The sourdough was so soft and the butter paired with it was just perfection. The caesar salad came with full leaves and had so much cheese I was in love. Although I loved the starters, I was not a huge fan of the actual dishes. The cacio de pepe was pretty good but nothing crazy where I would come back. The lemon pasta was just strange and it felt like the flavors were not meshing well together. The diavola pizza used the same sourdough bread I loved so i thought it would be good, but it was a thick pizza and the toppings just fell right off. There was no flavor and it just tasted salty. I was really excited for this one too because it had hot honey. Overall, I would say this place is overhyped and although I loved the sourdough and caesar salad, it is not enough for me to come back, especially for the price point and long lines. read more

My husband and I recently came here for a much needed date night after finding this restaurant online. Even though they don't take reservations unless you have a large party, the line moved surprisingly fast. From the moment we got in line, the staff made us feel welcomed. The hostess came outside, handed us menus, explained the ordering process, you place your order before being seated and even offered us the opportunity to sample some of their Italian wines, which was a really nice touch. We ordered the Shrimp Fra Diavolo, Squid Ink Tonnarelli, and the Ribeye Tagliata, which came with a fresh arugula salad. Every single dish was outstanding Full of flavor and beautifully prepared. We honestly enjoyed every bite. Between the incredible food, friendly service, and charming atmosphere, this was such a wonderful dining experience. We got there right before they opened and joined the line. We waited about 15 mins total until it was our turn. The employees were very kind and cheery as they answered any questions about the menu and let us try a couple of different wines to try before making our selection. You order everything at the front, then someone will walk you over to your table and there will be plenty of servers walking around. You can order anything else you want through them once you're seated. Wine: I enjoyed the Lambrusco as it wasn't your typical overly sweet version, it was perfect. My friend enjoyed the Moscato because she wanted something sweeter. Appetizers: The scallop crudo was okay, I believe I would have enjoyed it more if it had a citrus flavor to it. It tasted a bit bland to me as a carpaccio, but the quality was fresh. The Cesar Salad is the best, I'm sure you all know that by now. 10/10 for the salad. Pasta: The popular lemon pasta was great, just very plain. I'm not sure I would pay that much again for something as simple. But it was delicious. I'm glad we tried it for our first time. The baked ziti had too much going on in terms of flavor. It tasted like there was a bottle of black pepper dumped in the sauce. It is also spicy, but I enjoyed the spiciness, just not the overly strong black pepper flavor. Ambiance: Mostly outdoor space, however there are some tables inside that probably fill up last. Initially came to this restaurant on Friday night around an hour after opening and the line was down the street with over an hour wait. We decided to come back on another day 15 minutes before opening. The line was still down the street! We ended up waiting around 40 minutes to be seated. The ambiance of this place is cute-- somewhere nice for a date night or a night out with the girls. The service was great, but the food, however, didn't hit it out of the ballpark like we initially thought it would. Also... the two-person tables were so close to each other we could hear everyone's conversations. A little too close for my liking. We ordered: Il Cesare ($22)- This was good, but not $22 good. Have had better Caesar salads elsewhere. Pepperoni ($24)- The crust and cheese on the edges were so hard it was actually tough to chew on. The pepperonis were also very tough to chew and so oily. Super disappointing... would've rather ordered another pasta dish instead. Ricotta Gnocchi ($26)- this was just okay. I didn't enjoy the sauce as much as I thought I would. Maybe too much champagne vinegar? Very small portion. Baked Paccheri ($28)- GET THIS DISH!!! It was so good, I wish we had 3 of these! The pasta used for this baked dish was thick, almost like lasagna noodles. It matched perfectly with the pork sausage, rapini, and parmigiano. Chef's kiss! read more

Came hungry with some friends, left full and happy with the same friends. This place is it. On Wednesdays, they've got a spaghetti & meatballs special. Order this along with the house sourdough, and you will be in heaven. But we are ridiculous and didn't stop there. We also had their Caesar salad that's topped with fluffy cheese, baked mezzi rigatoni, 16oz ribeye tagliata, then washed it down a bottle of moscato d'asti Gianna Doglia. On another Wednesday occasion, we had all that plus ricotta gnocchi, and muscles & clams antipasti. Each and every single dish had me rolling my eyes to the back of my head. The tastes and flavors that these chefs have created really takes you to higher levels of pleasure with their food. I appreciated the cozy patio seating. It's intimate yet comfortable, inviting yet private. The service is always on point here. My friend knows most of the staff so I think that benefits us but I still felt like I was given the best friendly service here from beginning to end. I love it here. I'm coming back. read more

The ambiance was beautiful I was honestly expecting to sit at the bar but got a seat in the dining area. The salad was good, the pasta was good too and the pizza was crunchy and cheesy. We got recommended to eat the pizza with the hot honey and it did not disappoint. But honestly, it was just decent and good. I didn't feel like it was mind blowing. Due Fiori did not disappoint. This was my third attempt to visit--long lines stopped me the first two times, but it was absolutely worth the wait. Let's start with customer service. From the gentleman outside who greeted us and took the time to explain what to expect, to the owner who personally welcomed us and convinced me to try his favorite wine (and I don't even like wine--but it was delicious), the experience was top-tier. Every single person--from the host/hostess to the waitress to the staff delivering our food--was polite, attentive, and welcoming. 10/10 across the board. The interior is cute, quaint, and slightly intimate--perfect for a relaxed dining experience. Another 10/10. Now, the food--fresh, flavorful, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. Every bite was satisfying. I especially appreciated the pacing: salad first, then warm bread, followed by the main dish. The timing was seamless--no delays, no wondering when the next course would arrive. I'll also add: I'm not a big pasta person. I only crave it occasionally, and when I do, it has to be really good. I'm so glad I chose Due Fiori to satisfy that craving because the pasta was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back. read more
