I had been once before and loved the back patio, so I was excited to come back -- this time without my baby -- and fully enjoy a night out with the girls. We started with olives, sparkling wine, house sourdough, and the prosciutto and burrata. The bread comes in a cute little cast iron -- warm, fluffy, and perfect alongside the prosciutto and cheese. For mains, we shared two focaccia-style pizzas: the margherita and the fiore di zucca (squash blossom). The squash blossom was my favorite -- it had pancetta, stracciatella, and béchamel, and was such a fun, flavorful combination. We also ordered two pastas to share (we had a vegetarian in the group, so we split one meat and one non-meat dish). The pomodoro was light, fresh, and slightly citrusy, while the baked paccheri was rich and indulgent. Both were delicious, but the paccheri was probably my favorite. For dessert, we had the affogato and cannoli -- and that cannoli filling was so good. Wow! Impressed with everything about this restaurant! I loved it! We came on a Saturday, we were a party of 3 and arrived just a little after 5:00pm. We waited in line for about an hour. The way this place works is you line up to order, then they give you a number for your table and seat you and then there are waiters and waitresses to bring you your food. As we waited in line they brought us menus and answered any questions we had and had great suggestions/recommendations, they were also super welcoming and friendly, Between the 3 of us we shared the Caesar salad, the sourdough bread, the pepperoni and the Diavola pizzas, the Pappardelle a limone and the mezzi rigatoni pomodoro pastas. Everything we had was amazingly delicious. All of the dishes were served hot and fresh out of the kitchen which I loved as well. I'm a foodie and honestly there aren't many restaurants I say I'd want to come back to again. This is because I prefer to try new places instead of returning to a place I've already been before. Then you're guided walk to the back that opens up to a huge restaurant with so many tables and welcoming atmosphere. I was greeted by the friendliest host. He had the best suggestions on what to try and share with my party. Wednesday night is there special spaghetti and meatballs. which I highly recommend. The meatballs are made with Wagu beef and pork. This is a really hot, vibey Italian restaurant in Long Beach. I was not surprised to see the long line of people waiting to get in around 6:00 p.m., so I hopped out of the car to join the line while hubby drove around looking for parking. As a really great touch, staff came through the line outside to hand out menus and talk with us about the dishes and answer any questions. The indoor space is small, but inviting. I love the dark, warm colors, and the art started an interesting conversation in our group . Be sure to check out the cool hippo bench and the greeter frog on the bar--both are right up my alley. There is a bar that serves craft beer and wine. The way that it works is that you order at the bar, and then you are seated. When we were finally at the front of the line, they asked if we would mind giving out order at the table after we were seated to help move things along. After we were taken to our table, the server brought his pad out and took our order at our table. Again, he was so helpful answering questions and offering suggestions. He explained that the dishes come out as they are ready, and that most people eat family style, sharing what has arrived at the table as it comes. After we put in our order, we closed out at the same time. That is brilliant! There was no waiting after our meal to close out. We were not very hungry (if I'm being honest, I wasn't at all hungry, but I just really wanted to try his place), so we skipped the antipasti. We were on the hunt for a bakery and it led us next door to Gusto Bread and upon arrival we realized they're located right next to Due Fiori!!! 3 of the 5 of us have visited Due Fiori for dinner and once we realized we were just mear minutes from them opening for brunch we quickly packed up our baked goodies in the car and saved our bellies for an AMAZING meal . The table shared the following and every plate was licked clean. I have been wanting to check this place out due to seeing it online recently and got here at 5:45 PM and there was already a line forming on a Saturday evening. It went by pretty fast and we got seated in 30 minutes. The concept is interesting because you order first and pay and then get seated. The cacio de pepe was pretty good but nothing crazy where I would come back. The lemon pasta was just strange and it felt like the flavors were not meshing well together. We decided to come back on another day 15 minutes before opening. The line was still down the street! We ended up waiting around 40 minutes to be seated. What an experience. Let's start with the location, street parking, came on a Friday at 5pm and was half block away. You wait in line when you arrive and order your food at the counter one by one and then sit down. It was served with a high quality olive oil and THE BEST BUTTER I have ever had. It is imported and I need to find out from where next time. I can only explain it as the most butter flavor from a real butter I have ever had. The whipped ricotta with the frisée and charred fruit was refreshing and amazing. Great recommendation from our hostess. We had the Cacio e Pepe made with a bucatini which was amazing. The bucatini was perfect to hold that sauce and is probably one of the best I ever had. We finished with the 16 oz RIBEYE TAGLIATA with brown butter and saba and served with an amazing arugula salad with cherry tomatoes, lemon vinaigrette topped with a snow of cheese. My husband's said he doesn't really like arugula (which I grow in our garden and love) but turns out with this dressing and enough cheese he loves it, so win for me and our garden! He also claims he doesn't like anchovies but orders Caesar salads everywhere, so take it for what it is! Never had Saba before but it is sweeter and at first I was caught off guard. I am a "ribeye with salt and pepper maybe butter/garlic at most purist" this was as surprising taste. Due Fiori has a super cool vibe in the patio with great seating and cute lights. The servers and hosts there are also all very friendly and welcoming, and they were very helpful in giving recommendations from the menu. I ordered the garlic confit sourdough bread, the caesar salad, and the lemon pasta. The food was good, and of the three dishes I enjoyed the bread the most. The papardelle a limone did not impress me at that price point, so next time I would probably try a different pasta. Overall, very cute spot with great service and good food. read more

Holy moly what a fantastic addition to the neighborhood! It has such a comfortable vibe - it's relaxed and feels like a community and family space. You order at the register by the door which is why there's always a line (besides the fact that it is usually packed and for a good reason!). Their wine and beer selection is spot on and their food literally had us ordering more so we could try more (and get leftovers). Their shrimp was some of the best in LB, the Caesar was perfect, the squid ink pasta had SO MUCH SEAFOOD it was amazing, the lemon pasta was perfectly punchy, and the white sauce pasta had me begging for more bites off my friends plate. My friends and I talk about this spot at least once a month and my mouth is watering while even writing this review. GO! Went at 5:30 so the line was short, order at the bar and you get to taste many drink options if you want before deciding. Outdoor seating area, very cosy, loved it. Food is on the pricier side for Italian, but totally worth it. Ordered the Caesar & Pacherri. Caesar especially was amazing. Will definitely be back to try different things on the menu! read more

I visited Due Fiori on a Thursday evening with a friend and we were reminded why we love living in Long Beach lol. Amazing food, wonderful service, and overall good vibes on a Thursday evening is what we both needed. We received a very warm welcome from nearly all the staff upon entry. They walked us through the process of ordering at the counter and filled us in on the opportunity to taste any of their organic Italian wines before settling on a glass or bottle. What a courtesy! After settling on our glasses of wine, we ordered the Sautéed Sprouting Cauliflower, the A Diavola pizza, the Baked Paccheri, and they insisted we try the Caesar salad. I'm so glad we did. It was amazing. We loved everything we ordered. However, we're huge pizza fans, and the Diavola was everything! I believed a server mentioned the crust was a sourdough/focaccia mix? Incredible. The sprouting cauliflower is a perfect veggie for my meatless days - flavorful, savory, crunchy, perfect! I could go on and on, but there's no question I will be back. Of course as we departed, it felt like the entire staff team said good night. So kind! By the time we left, there wasn't a seat open. People were in line waiting to get in, in this "California cold" weather. The place is that great folks. Stop by and experience it yourself. Parking is what it is y'all lol. If you love Italian food as much as I do, you may find yourself at the doors of Due Fiori during your next stop in Long Beach. We came on a Friday evening right after they opened and good thing we did, because we didn't realize how popular it was! By the time we were leaving, there was a line outside the door waiting. A good thing to keep in mind is that you order before you sit down here. You also get to try the wines before you decide on one, which makes it feel like a more inclusive experience. The staff is very friendly and engaging. They also have a beautiful interior that draws the curious eye. We sat outside, and it was lovely as well. I don't remember which wine we decided on, but it tasted like strawberry fanta. Supa yummy. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the food, but we had the house sourdough, pepperoni focaccia pizza, bucatini cacio e pepe, and pappardelle a limone. The bread was amazing. I'm a big fan of garlic so an extra touch never hurt. As far as the entrée dishes, the pizza and cacio e pepe were our favorites. The pizza was really filling. In my opinion, cacio e pepe is hard to mess up, but regardless this one was 10/10. The pappardelle a limone was honestly a bit disappointing. It wasn't bad, but it tasted more like butter noodles than it did lemon. The lemon was sparse, making it a lackluster dish. I would love to come back to Due Fiori at some point. I don't eat out at Italian places a lot because I feel like it's something I can make decent at home, but this place is amazing. My girlfriend and me couldn't stop talking about it for days. I mean come on. This place is freakin fantastic. You will have a wait, so be prepared. I was there on a Wednesday night at 645 and had to wait for about 30 minutes with my party. They don't fill up every single table right away, who'd I kind of like. Food comes out as it's ready, so family style is probably the best option. We had the Caesar- JUST GET IT. Life changing. Also had the diavola pizza, the parpadelle y Limon and casarecce pomodoro 10/10 every single dish. I was there with a party of 4 and we split everything and I left feeling ok!
