Very much worth the wait here! As you are in line you are given a menu and when you get to the cashier you can order, sample wine, pay and are then seated to your table. We ordered the scallop crudo, Cesar salad, and baked ziti. It was all delicious as well as the orange wine! If you need to order more food (or wine in our occasion) waiters are attentive and checking on you and you can place more to your order and pay at the end for the added items. The inside is nice and dimly lit, perfect for a special occasion!
Due Fiori is hot and trendy and cool and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to check it out recently with Alexa M! I'm also glad we arrived early (thanks to some advice from a local) and didn't have to wait too long in the line. We went for dinner on a Friday night and joined the line just before the doors opened. The line grew pretty quickly too! As others have mentioned, you order at the register, and that's also where you have an opportunity to taste test wine - and we did our fair share of tasting before landing on our selections. It was challenging to order because the entire menu looks great, but we went with the Caesar Salad, White bean salad, broccolini, and lemon pasta. Needless to say, this was more than enough food for us! As Alexa shared, we enjoyed everything but would possibly skip the broccolini next time to try something else and ideally come with a bigger group to try even more of the options and dine family style! Thanks again to Due Fiori. Super friendly and attentive staff, fun atmosphere, and delicoius food / drinks too. It's pricey but worth it. Enjoy!
I absolutely love this place. It has everything including tasty food, amazing vibes dog friendly and free corkage. First of all, the staff is absolutely welcoming and professional here. Then the food is just out of this world delicious. Let's start with the MAFALDINE AMATRICIANA. This dish was the perfect item to display how well excited a dish can be here. Pasta Al dente, umami cured pork and delicious homemade tomato sauce. We also got the meatballs spaghetti, cacio e Pepe, Caesar's salad, and sourdough bread. Everything was phenomenal. Pro tips: 1. Street Parking can be tough. Rideshare or take transit. 2. Pet friendly with patio 3. Free corkage up to 2 bottles. Eddie Liquor Mart with large selection of wine is 3 minutes walk from restaurant.
Thankfully our waitress at breakfast said to get there early. Gabi and I decided to walk there from our hotel, about 45 minutes. We got there early and saw no line but 10 minutes before open, everyone rocked up. Their philosophy is for everyone to wait on line and order at the register to then be seated. To accommodate the line and larger groups, they did let some people sit. When you get up to the register, they let you try every wine. I photographed some of my favs; including the funky orange & chilled red. The lemon pasta, white bean salad, and ceasar were AMAZING and the broccolini came in a nice sauce but it was probably the only thing I wouldn't reorder next time. Definitely want to go back with a bigger group!
We loved Due Fiori. We went on a Saturday night 6:30ish and stood in line for about 40minutes. For our pastas, we took advantage of LBFSW and ordered the Spaghetti & Meatballs - the meatballs were so flavorful. We also had the Fusilli & Pappardelle a limon - again both were yummy. The last thing to arrive was the Il Diavalo pizza - spicy and yummy. Servers checked in regularly. Outside patio is cute and comfortable. While I enjoy the family style, there should be some coordination in dishes. The Whipped Ricotta should be served with bread. A second set of plates should be offered after appetizers. Parking is in neighborhood and can be tough.

I showed up around 5pm and sure enough there was already a line forming in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is located around a neighborhood, so you have to find street parking, which can be challenging. I already did my research on what I wanted to order, so my process went fairly smoothly. I imagine some other people were not as prepared and asked a lot of questions at the counter which can make the wait time even longer for other people in line. We ordered caesar salad, pizza focaccia with soppressata, squid ink tonnerelli, and ribeye tagliata. We also ordered some glasses of wine. After ordering, they walked us to our table inside. This location used to be a bbq restaurant- shady grove- before they closed down. And wow I was so impressed by the change of the patio vibe. It looked way nicer now under Due Fuori. I truly believe the vibe of a restaurant is equally important to the quality of the food, and this place nailed it. Also, apparently you can still order more stuff even after you're seated. They don't really have dedicated server for each table but the service was pretty efficient in my opinion. Now the food, everything was delicious, I have no notes! Caesar salad, very good. Pizza, omg amazing. And I'm not a pizza kinda person, so this is really a compliment! It's the thick kind of pizza, and they put some honey on it too which makes it even more delicious to me. Next was the squid ink pasta, another delightful dish. My only complaint is that it's not big enough of a portion, haha! The ribeye tagliata was so good. It was served with some salad that's very refreshing. The server explained to us that the original dish comes with the greens and cherry tomatoes underneath the meat, but they serve it separately to keep the freshness and crunch. The meat has some nice crust on the outside, very flavorful. We ended up taking some of the ribeye home, as we were already really full. It was plenty of food to share between two people. I definitely will come back to try other dishes, especially the other popular pasta dishes. This place has been really popular and I heard the line is still long even after a few months (or maybe it has been a year now?). Definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves Italian food in town. Very hip, vibey place, and delicious food!
I know it might surprise people to know the Caesar salad is not an Italian thing at all, but it is a very Italian American thing invented right across the border in Tijuana at Caesar Cardini's restaurant 102 years ago this month. So it's fitting that a rendering of that famous salad is making a Long Beach Italian eatery famous 100 years later. Personally I'm not a fan of it just way too much Parmesan and not much else going on with it. But it is fun to look at and have a couple bites and it's more similar to the earlier versions of the Caesar salad. I appreciate that it is not over dressed like so many salads at restaurants can be. The fire roasted snap peas were amazing. We got a seafood pasta dish I can't remember what it was called but it was also delicious. The highlight of the night was Connor and the wine. They set us up with several tastes and enlightened us about this new orange wine trend. He was a fount of knowledge and made the counter ordering experience more fun. I would return for Connor and the wine and snap peas tomorrow. The space is loud, high energy and fully staffed so even though you order at the counter later it feels more like full service. No one really came around to offer more wine or dessert so not sure if they have dessert. Could have gone for another glass of wine but then not getting one saved me $15-18 and I could still ride my bike home. Their bread is supposed to be amazing so have to try that next time. It's not a cheap night out but it is a fun one. I wouldn't bring kids here or too large a group maybe 6 max.

Luckily, my brother-in-law and niece were also in town, so we got to try a variety of dishes and share everything. We arrived a little after the kitchen had closed, so we decided to enjoy some wine, take a walk, and come back when the kitchen reopened at 5 PM. The staff was so sweet and let us hang out inside a little early, which we really appreciated because it was such a hot day! We enjoyed some delicious wine while taking in the restaurant. The outdoor seating is so cute, and the staff was incredibly attentive. We noticed people start lining up outside before the kitchen reopens, so if you're planning to visit, I'd recommend getting there early since they don't take reservations. Everything we tried was delicious, and we'll definitely be back to try more dishes! Highly recommend adding this place to your list!
Very unique concept and experience! We came towards opening so the line went by fast but it grew quite a bit by the time we left. Really amazing customer service, they'll explain the menu to you in line so you're prepared to order at the front. From there, you sit in the back patio area and dishes come out one by one. The menu itself is a bit on the higher end, but it's a great spot to split and share. Cesar salad and sourdough are a must! The pizza looked intriguing but we opted for three pasta dishes instead. Fusilli was my favorite, followed by the Cacio e Pepe, and then lemon pasta. I liked the unique noodle options and was satisfied with the dishes. It wasn't the best pasta I've ever had, you're definitely paying for ambiance and the experience. They serve tap water, so we ordered soft drinks and many tables had wine. Since they're so busy, they're constantly bussing your table to encourage you to leave. I don't think this is the best place to catch up with friends. Overall a unique spot in LB!
Absolutely worth the hype & more! Some of the best service and food I've had in LB. The people here are so nice and attentive to their guests. They let you try various wines to pair the perfect one with your meal. The vibes, colors, aesthetics are dreamy as hell. The food is meant to be shared family style which I loved. I've now tried their brunch & dinner menu which do have overlapping things. Pappardelle a Limone -- is just as good as everyone says. It's not too sour. Balanced perfectly with the creaminess. Def a fave Caesar Salad -- absolutely get it!! Covered in cheese. Crunchy but drenched in sauce and cheese. It's soooo good. Brunch Potatoes -- they're okay. I wouldn't get again. Brunch Sourdough -- absolutely get it! The bread itself is phenomenal but also the jam it comes with is on its own level. CACIO e PEPE -- creamy, just the right amount of pepper Spaghetti & Meatballs -- the sauce is to die for. So much flavor. The meatballs are super tasty with a fennel forward taste. Street parking isn't usually too bad. A little pricey in this economy but it's absolutely worth it. Can't wait to come back!
I saw this place on TikTok and had to give it a try. Unfortunately, I was so disappointed. I truly had high hopes based on some of the videos that I had seen, the people in line outside raving about this, and the reviews online. My first complaint is ordering at the register. I have strong feelings about this in general, and it kind of leaves a weird expectation to order and tip in an uncomfortable manner, when it's not a table service experience. In addition to that, we were sat outside and they really need to add something to implement bug and fly control. The patio itself was beautiful and I did enjoy the ambience, besides having flies constantly in your food. The pricing here... insane. If the food was melt in your mouth good, I could easily justify, but for 1 salad, 1 order of bread and an 1 entree and tip, the total should not have been $90. The small Mexican coke was $6... that's insane. I can appreciate that they are locally sourcing food and I would hope they are paying their employees well, and everyone so taken care of. But overall, the value of money and quality of food did not do it for me. I did notice the portions on the salad were inconsistent based off of the other tables around us. I would hope for a $22 salad, I would have liked to have a little bit more. I think there is an illusion that the salad is big based on the fact that the lettuce is not cut and they put an absorbent amount of cheese on top. (Don't get me wrong, I love cheese, but they did not give a chance for the dressing to stand on its own) The bread and butter were the only thing I will say was good. Solid 7/10. I think if they added garlic and pepper into dipping oil, it was elevate this a bit. The fact that this is served warm definitely adds to the taste. The "fresh" made gnocchi is house.. was not good. This dish was a ricotta gnocchi. For nearly $30, this was the smallest plate of pasta I have ever gotten. I continued to look around and everyone got extremely small portions of pasta. That aside.. this gnocchi was not good and too undercooked. The sauce tasted honestly like a chef boyardee sauce, with a little bit of a fish after taste, and no ricotta. It did taste like slight parm, which, even if a little bit more Parmesan was added, maybe this would've tasted a bit better. But apparently all the Parmesan was reserved only for the salads. (This dish was supposed to have a duck base, but this was not cooked properly) not only was I simply turned off by this dish, there was nobody by to help or even get it to go box. But quite honestly, I just left the food which is so sad. Left over pasta is always so good but I really could not continue eating this as I truly did not enjoy the taste. I left hungry and sadly disappointed.
The ambiance and the wait staff were nice. However, for the price point and the reputation it fell really flat for me. I much prefer the Gem Lettuce (17.95) and spaghetti limone (21.95) from Jon and Vinny's. The highlight of the night was definitely the lamb chops and the affogato with passion fruit-raspberry jam ($15.60). The dressing for the IL Cesare ($22) at Due Fiori was very plain and it mainly tastes of the parmigiano. The Papparadelle a Limone ($24) was more of a butter noodle and cheese and left a puddle of butter wherever a noodle fell. The scallop crudo ($22) was also a highlight of the meal but when dinner came around (the affogato with Jam) the affogato stoke the show. Overall happy I finally got a chance to try the restaurant. The first time we came to ended up at another Italian spot a couple minutes away because the line was huge and barely moving. This time around we were one of the firsts seated since we got there around 20 minutes before opening. With that being said I don't know that I would make my way over to LB for another chance to try it or that I would wait in the line for it. Also thought it was silly that the Stone Fruit & Speck we originally ordered was sold out despite us being one of the first people there. Luckily what we traded it for what such a hit!
I was surprised the line was long at 5:30 but it went by pretty fast and a server came out to give out menus and answer any questions which was a nice touch. Ordered the Cesar salad,margarita pizza and seafood squid ink pasta. Cesar Salad was outstanding with lots of flavor but was disappointed with the fig salad. Figs weren't ripe. Pizza dough was ok but nothing notable. Pasta was also average. Service was very good but don't think I will return.

An experience I'll never forget! This place felt very "Hollywood" to me but with the chill Long Beach vibes if that makes sense haha Anyways, it was such a unique and delicious experience. How it works is that you wait outside, order at the register, then get seated. The line got kinda long but there were bar seats empty, so I chose that and was able to skip the line and instead of ordering at the register, I ordered at my seat at the bar. Friendly note, though, is that they do (free?) wine sampling at the register, and since I took the bar route, I wasn't able to partake (but if I asked, maybe they would've let me sample too). The customer service was great; staff was friendly at the entrance, the waiter kept checking in on us, and food took a tiny bit long but I expected that because they were busy. I was only able to order Mezzi Rigatoni Pomodoro with pork sausage because I wasn't too hungry to be able to order more. The pasta was cooked al dente and one word to describe the sauce was beautiful. It had a great tomato flavor and tasted super fresh. If it matters to you, I did peak at the couple next to me who ordered a caesar salad and it was HUGE! Overall, this experience makes me eager to go again! read more
I'm so sad because I thought Due Fiori was going to be Long Beach's answer to Jon & Vinny's in LA or Donna in Silver Lake but maybe it was an off-day for them. Dinner Hours: They open for dinner at 5pm and there is always a line so we got there at 4:45pm (on a Sunday) and there was already a line. A large group was a few spots ahead of us, but we were able to get in by 5:15pm. Here is what was great: Facility: 9/10. Super cute inside. You can eat inside or outside and it is pretty well climate controlled. They only have 1 bathroom but it was clean and cute. Service: 10/10. Although you wait outside to enter, they come outside with menus and explain what's to be expected. You order and pay once you get inside. Not so good: Parking: 6/10: street/residential parking sucks, but this is Long Beach! Food: in general, the night we went the food seemed way too salty, and we like salt. House sourdough bread: 8/10: it was good but salt usage was heavy handed IL Cesare: 8/10: was good but too lemony Broccolini: 5:10: was way too vinegary. We usually love broccolini, but we couldn't finish this dish - we didn't even pack it to go. Pepperoni pizza: 7/10. Was "ok" Ribeye Tagliata: 8:/10: very tender. The brown butter was a bit sweet so it was something to get used to. Baked paccheri: 9/10. Flavor was very good; the only negative is it had pork (no substitutions) and cheese got hard once it cooled. Fusilli Corti bucati: 8/10 ***This place is great for groups because you can pay and settle your own checks before you sit down and get your food! read more
Due Fiori truly deserves all of its praise. I think it's one of the best restaurants in Long Beach. Everything that I've ever had here is delicious and perfect and wonderful. Even the simple dishes will surprise you and delight you in ways that you didn't know classics could. Let's start with their sourdough bread. Are you kidding??? This is truly the best bread starter in the city. Crusty, pillowy sourdough, topped with garlic confit, and served with the most delicious olive oil ever (and some butter but the olive oil is the star). Every ingredient has such integrity in their dishes, and the flavors are not wasted. For appetizers, I got the famed caesar salad, scallop carpaccio, and the charred broccolini. Everything was delicious obviously, but let;s go through it all. The caesar salad is an expensive caesar, but damn is it worth it. Every single tender leaf of gem lettuce is coated with bright, briny, creamy dressing, breadcrumbs, and the thick yet delicate coating of shaved cheese. It's honestly an amazing caesar from top to bottom. You'll eat the salad and keep unearthing perfectly cheese coated leaves of lettuce. You need to put a charred vegetable on the table. I've had the charred snap peas before and they were phenomenal. This time, the charred broccolini was beautifully smoky, citrussy, and nutty. The scallop carpaccio was okay! I think it was good, but I'd rather recommend everything else on the menu, For mains I got a pasta and a protein. The lemon pasta is so divine. It is so simple, just a light lemon sauce. I don't even know if there's any cream in there, but definitely lots of cheese. It is so bright and fresh, a perfect complement to their rich and decadent steak in brown butter sauce. The steak was perfectly cooked. The brown butter sauce was deeply rich, so I am glad to have paired it with the citrussy pasta. For dessert, I got the affogato. YUM. They pull really great espresso shots here, so even just a cup of espresso to end your night would be really nice. Come here for a date night or other special occasion. It wasn't the best pasta I've ever had, you're definitely paying for ambiance and the experience. They serve tap water, so we ordered soft drinks and many tables had wine. Absolutely worth the hype & more! Some of the best service and food I've had in LB. The people here are so nice and attentive to their guests. They let you try various wines to pair the perfect one with your meal. The vibes, colors, aesthetics are dreamy as hell. The food is meant to be shared family style which I loved. I've now tried their brunch & dinner menu which do have overlapping things. Pappardelle a Limone -- is just as good as everyone says. It's not too sour. Balanced perfectly with the creaminess. Def a fave Caesar Salad -- absolutely get it!! Covered in cheese. Crunchy but drenched in sauce and cheese. It's soooo good. Brunch Potatoes -- they're okay. I wouldn't get again. Brunch Sourdough -- absolutely get it! The bread itself is phenomenal but also the jam it comes with is on its own level. CACIO e PEPE -- creamy, just the right amount of pepper Spaghetti & Meatballs -- the sauce is to die for. So much flavor. The meatballs are super tasty with a fennel forward taste. Street parking isn't usually too bad. A little pricey in this economy but it's absolutely worth it. Can't wait to come back! read more
I saw this place on TikTok and had to give it a try. Unfortunately, I was so disappointed. I truly had high hopes based on some of the videos that I had seen, the people in line outside raving about this, and the reviews online. My first complaint is ordering at the register. I have strong feelings about this in general, and it kind of leaves a weird expectation to order and tip in an uncomfortable manner, when it's not a table service experience. In addition to that, we were sat outside and they really need to add something to implement bug and fly control. The patio itself was beautiful and I did enjoy the ambience, besides having flies constantly in your food. The pricing here... insane. If the food was melt in your mouth good, I could easily justify, but for 1 salad, 1 order of bread and an 1 entree and tip, the total should not have been $90. The small Mexican coke was $6... that's insane. I can appreciate that they are locally sourcing food and I would hope they are paying their employees well, and everyone so taken care of. But overall, the value of money and quality of food did not do it for me. I did notice the portions on the salad were inconsistent based off of the other tables around us. I would hope for a $22 salad, I would have liked to have a little bit more. I think there is an illusion that the salad is big based on the fact that the lettuce is not cut and they put an absorbent amount of cheese on top. (Don't get me wrong, I love cheese, but they did not give a chance for the dressing to stand on its own) The bread and butter were the only thing I will say was good. Solid 7/10. I think if they added garlic and pepper into dipping oil, it was elevate this a bit. The fact that this is served warm definitely adds to the taste. The "fresh" made gnocchi is house.. was not good. This dish was a ricotta gnocchi. For nearly $30, this was the smallest plate of pasta I have ever gotten. I continued to look around and everyone got extremely small portions of pasta. That aside.. this gnocchi was not good and too undercooked. The sauce tasted honestly like a chef boyardee sauce, with a little bit of a fish after taste, and no ricotta. It did taste like slight parm, which, even if a little bit more Parmesan was added, maybe this would've tasted a bit better. But apparently all the Parmesan was reserved only for the salads. (This dish was supposed to have a duck base, but this was not cooked properly) not only was I simply turned off by this dish, there was nobody by to help or even get it to go box. But quite honestly, I just left the food which is so sad. Left over pasta is always so good but I really could not continue eating this as I truly did not enjoy the taste. The ambiance and the wait staff were nice. However, for the price point and the reputation it fell really flat for me. I much prefer the Gem Lettuce (17.95) and spaghetti limone (21.95) from Jon and Vinny's. The highlight of the night was definitely the lamb chops and the affogato with passion fruit-raspberry jam ($15.60). The dressing for the IL Cesare ($22) at Due Fiori was very plain and it mainly tastes of the parmigiano. The Papparadelle a Limone ($24) was more of a butter noodle and cheese and left a puddle of butter wherever a noodle fell. The scallop crudo ($22) was also a highlight of the meal but when dinner came around (the affogato with Jam) the affogato stoke the show. Overall happy I finally got a chance to try the restaurant. The first time we came to ended up at another Italian spot a couple minutes away because the line was huge and barely moving. This time around we were one of the firsts seated since we got there around 20 minutes before opening. With that being said I don't know that I would make my way over to LB for another chance to try it or that I would wait in the line for it. Also thought it was silly that the Stone Fruit & Speck we originally ordered was sold out despite us being one of the first people there. Luckily what we traded it for what such a hit! read more

I was surprised the line was long at 5:30 but it went by pretty fast and a server came out to give out menus and answer any questions which was a nice touch. Ordered the Cesar salad,margarita pizza and seafood squid ink pasta. Cesar Salad was outstanding with lots of flavor but was disappointed with the fig salad. Figs weren't ripe. Pizza dough was ok but nothing notable. Pasta was also average. Service was very good but don't think I will return. read more

We recently had a book club dinner at Due Fiori, and it was such a great choice. I had been once before and loved the back patio, so I was excited to come back -- this time without my baby -- and fully enjoy a night out with the girls. We started with olives, sparkling wine, house sourdough, and the prosciutto and burrata. The bread comes in a cute little cast iron -- warm, fluffy, and perfect alongside the prosciutto and cheese. For mains, we shared two focaccia-style pizzas: the margherita and the fiore di zucca (squash blossom). The squash blossom was my favorite -- it had pancetta, stracciatella, and béchamel, and was such a fun, flavorful combination. We also ordered two pastas to share (we had a vegetarian in the group, so we split one meat and one non-meat dish). The pomodoro was light, fresh, and slightly citrusy, while the baked paccheri was rich and indulgent. Both were delicious, but the paccheri was probably my favorite. For dessert, we had the affogato and cannoli -- and that cannoli filling was so good. The wine was great across the board, and our server was incredibly helpful -- letting us taste wines and guiding us through selections, which we really appreciated. Between the food, service, and overall vibe, it was such a fun night. We'll definitely be back. read more

Wow! Impressed with everything about this restaurant! I loved it! We came on a Saturday, we were a party of 3 and arrived just a little after 5:00pm. We waited in line for about an hour. The way this place works is you line up to order, then they give you a number for your table and seat you and then there are waiters and waitresses to bring you your food. As we waited in line they brought us menus and answered any questions we had and had great suggestions/recommendations, they were also super welcoming and friendly, Between the 3 of us we shared the Caesar salad, the sourdough bread, the pepperoni and the Diavola pizzas, the Pappardelle a limone and the mezzi rigatoni pomodoro pastas. Everything we had was amazingly delicious. All of the dishes were served hot and fresh out of the kitchen which I loved as well. I'm a foodie and honestly there aren't many restaurants I say I'd want to come back to again. This is because I prefer to try new places instead of returning to a place I've already been before. BUT HOWEVER Due Fiori impressed me, I truly loved it and would love to come again sometime. My 1 and only complaint was the hour long wait time BUT the customer service along with the great food totally makes up for it, read more
My new favorite Italian Restaurant. I found this place by accident. When you walk in. there is a small bar and a few tables. So it's very deceiving. Then you're guided walk to the back that opens up to a huge restaurant with so many tables and welcoming atmosphere. I was greeted by the friendliest host. He had the best suggestions on what to try and share with my party. Wednesday night is there special spaghetti and meatballs. which I highly recommend. The meatballs are made with Wagu beef and pork. The marinara was incredible. The Caesar salad, aka IL CESARE is a must. It's hard to describe how delicious this salad is. So much Parmesan. and the dressing was perfect. Crisp, delicious Romaine, yum! Nice size too, fed 3 of us. I did upload a photo. We also had the PAPPARDELLE a LIMONE. It's hard to describe how delicious this pasta was. Homemade noodles and the sauce was so Light and flavorful with the lemon, butter and Parmigiano, It was incredible. You also have to try the homemade sourdough bread. I love this restaurant! I can't wait to go back! You start by lining up to order first at the counter and then you are seated. There is a whole back area so don't be discouraged by the small front of the restaurant, there's more seating! The line moved relatively fast. The service was great, our waitress was very attentive. The food was amazing! We didn't have much expectations but it exceeded it. We got what the counter recommended which was the scallop crudo, Caesar salad, seafood pasta and pepperoni pizza. We thought the scallop crudo was the weakest, although the scallop was fresh, the dressing it came with didnt really do much? I personally think the star of the night was the Caesar salad! Probably one of the best Caesar salad I've every had. So good that I didn't want to share. Next time I'm ordering it just for myself! I love seafood and normally when I get a seafood pasta at any restaurant it's just whatever and fine, however the seafood pasta here was spectacular! The Caesar salad is really good but i would've liked it to be a tad bit saucier. It starts dry & gets more wet when you crunch into the lettuce. The quality of the lettuce was very good. This place is a vibe!! Conner set the stage with greeting us outside to give us a great run down of anything and everything. We were then seated on the back patio with Tess as our server. We also had a very tall person who was also awesome checking in on us. Great service is not too common nowadays but this place was WOW!!! Everyone was so knowledgeable and awesome. Food was delicious! I didn't get too many pics because we dug right in. Cesar salad is a must. The pizza also did not disappoint esp if you love Detroit style. Food was flavorful and fresh Tess knew her wines. She allowed others in my party to have a few tastes to get the right one. Will definitely be back here when I'm in Long Beach. The patio outside is comfy but also gives that SoCal dining feel we all love. Great for a date night or a chill night with friends or colleagues Street parking. This is a really hot, vibey Italian restaurant in Long Beach. I was not surprised to see the long line of people waiting to get in around 6:00 p.m., so I hopped out of the car to join the line while hubby drove around looking for parking. As a really great touch, staff came through the line outside to hand out menus and talk with us about the dishes and answer any questions. The indoor space is small, but inviting. I love the dark, warm colors, and the art started an interesting conversation in our group . Be sure to check out the cool hippo bench and the greeter frog on the bar--both are right up my alley. There is a bar that serves craft beer and wine. The way that it works is that you order at the bar, and then you are seated. When we were finally at the front of the line, they asked if we would mind giving out order at the table after we were seated to help move things along. After we were taken to our table, the server brought his pad out and took our order at our table. Again, he was so helpful answering questions and offering suggestions. He explained that the dishes come out as they are ready, and that most people eat family style, sharing what has arrived at the table as it comes. After we put in our order, we closed out at the same time. That is brilliant! There was no waiting after our meal to close out. We were not very hungry (if I'm being honest, I wasn't at all hungry, but I just really wanted to try his place), so we skipped the antipasti. We ordered: *Baked Ziti Amatriciana *Pappardelle a Limone *Bucatini Caccio e Pepe If it were at all appropriate on yelp, if described all the food as so "f-word"-ing good. But, it's not appropriate, so I'll just say it was amazing! The ziti was just the right amount of spicy, the bucatini was rich and creamy, and the pappardelle was, for lack of a better description, bright and fresh. Pure deliciousness! Again, kudos to staff--service was fantastic. And kudos to the chef! Note that there is no parking, so you have to find on street parking. Excellent and very friendly service from the time we got in line until we left an hour and a half later. The process involves customers waiting in line to get into the restaurant then ordering food and drinks at the bar then a friendly server will seat you. Individual food items will be served once it's ready. We ordered the House Sourdough, Il Cesare, Il Pineapple, Ricotta Gnocchi, and Cannolis. At the same time we were seated, the House Sourdough was being served along with our drinks. The House Sourdough was warm, moist, and delicious, and I highly recommend as a starter. The second item I highly recommend is the Il Cesare, which was refreshing, flavorful, and had a great texture. The Il Pineapple had too many ingredients, although the baked prosciutto was yummy. The third item I highly suggest is the ricotta gnocchi with duck ragu and kale, which was rich and very delicious! The last item I highly recommend is the cannolis and the order comes in a set of two. Beautiful outdoor ambiance with lights, greenery, and ample seating. read more

We were on the hunt for a bakery and it led us next door to Gusto Bread and upon arrival we realized they're located right next to Due Fiori!!! 3 of the 5 of us have visited Due Fiori for dinner and once we realized we were just mear minutes from them opening for brunch we quickly packed up our baked goodies in the car and saved our bellies for an AMAZING meal . The table shared the following and every plate was licked clean. Their signature ceasar salad, their brunch sourdough with that amazing European butter they're known for and house made jelly, eggs in purgatory, smashed potatoes, an order of bacon, and vanilla yeasted waffles with a side of maple syrup (we loved using the jelly from the sourdough ). We have already planned our return visit so the 2 newbies in our group can have dinner here and have the mouth watering squidink noodles. I have been wanting to check this place out due to seeing it online recently and got here at 5:45 PM and there was already a line forming on a Saturday evening. It went by pretty fast and we got seated in 30 minutes. The concept is interesting because you order first and pay and then get seated. They were very helpful in assisting us with wine tastings which I appreciated! The restaurant ambiance is very unique and the concept is family style. I really enjoyed the sourdough bread and the caesar salad. The sourdough was so soft and the butter paired with it was just perfection. The caesar salad came with full leaves and had so much cheese I was in love. Although I loved the starters, I was not a huge fan of the actual dishes. The cacio de pepe was pretty good but nothing crazy where I would come back. The lemon pasta was just strange and it felt like the flavors were not meshing well together. The diavola pizza used the same sourdough bread I loved so i thought it would be good, but it was a thick pizza and the toppings just fell right off. There was no flavor and it just tasted salty. I was really excited for this one too because it had hot honey. Overall, I would say this place is overhyped and although I loved the sourdough and caesar salad, it is not enough for me to come back, especially for the price point and long lines. read more
I finally made it here! A new staple in my neighborhood. This place is sooo cute, the decor and furniture; every detail is immaculate. We came right before opening their dinner service at 5pm. As soon as you walk in you're greeted by smiling staff (one of them dj'ing real records), you order at the bar then are sat. There's some bar seating and a few tables in the front but most of the seating is in the back patio area. We ordered the Caesar salad, and I'm not being dramatic when I say, this was the best Caesar salad I've EVER HAD! I will be coming back often to just get this. The rest of the food was also yummy, the pepperoni pizza was a crunchy gooey perfect square bite. The ragu gnocchi was a standout. The service was exceptional and intentional. Initially came to this restaurant on Friday night around an hour after opening and the line was down the street with over an hour wait. We decided to come back on another day 15 minutes before opening. The line was still down the street! We ended up waiting around 40 minutes to be seated. The ambiance of this place is cute-- somewhere nice for a date night or a night out with the girls. The service was great, but the food, however, didn't hit it out of the ballpark like we initially thought it would. Also... the two-person tables were so close to each other we could hear everyone's conversations. A little too close for my liking. We ordered: Il Cesare ($22)- This was good, but not $22 good. Have had better Caesar salads elsewhere. Pepperoni ($24)- The crust and cheese on the edges were so hard it was actually tough to chew on. The pepperonis were also very tough to chew and so oily. Super disappointing... would've rather ordered another pasta dish instead. Ricotta Gnocchi ($26)- this was just okay. I didn't enjoy the sauce as much as I thought I would. Maybe too much champagne vinegar? Very small portion. Baked Paccheri ($28)- GET THIS DISH!!! It was so good, I wish we had 3 of these! Came hungry with some friends, left full and happy with the same friends. This place is it. On Wednesdays, they've got a spaghetti & meatballs special. Order this along with the house sourdough, and you will be in heaven. But we are ridiculous and didn't stop there. We also had their Caesar salad that's topped with fluffy cheese, baked mezzi rigatoni, 16oz ribeye tagliata, then washed it down a bottle of moscato d'asti Gianna Doglia. On another Wednesday occasion, we had all that plus ricotta gnocchi, and muscles & clams antipasti. Each and every single dish had me rolling my eyes to the back of my head. The tastes and flavors that these chefs have created really takes you to higher levels of pleasure with their food. I appreciated the cozy patio seating. It's intimate yet comfortable, inviting yet private. The service is always on point here. My friend knows most of the staff so I think that benefits us but I still felt like I was given the best friendly service here from beginning to end. I love it here. I'm coming back. read more
We got there right before they opened and joined the line. We waited about 15 mins total until it was our turn. The employees were very kind and cheery as they answered any questions about the menu and let us try a couple of different wines to try before making our selection. You order everything at the front, then someone will walk you over to your table and there will be plenty of servers walking around. You can order anything else you want through them once you're seated. Wine: I enjoyed the Lambrusco as it wasn't your typical overly sweet version, it was perfect. My friend enjoyed the Moscato because she wanted something sweeter. Appetizers: The scallop crudo was okay, I believe I would have enjoyed it more if it had a citrus flavor to it. It tasted a bit bland to me as a carpaccio, but the quality was fresh. The Cesar Salad is the best, I'm sure you all know that by now. 10/10 for the salad. Pasta: The popular lemon pasta was great, just very plain. I'm not sure I would pay that much again for something as simple. But it was delicious. I'm glad we tried it for our first time. The baked ziti had too much going on in terms of flavor. It tasted like there was a bottle of black pepper dumped in the sauce. It is also spicy, but I enjoyed the spiciness, just not the overly strong black pepper flavor. Ambiance: Mostly outdoor space, however there are some tables inside that probably fill up last. Very fun atmosphere and cute. A little cramped overall but it's a pleasant hole-in-the-wall type of gem. read more

The ambiance was beautiful I was honestly expecting to sit at the bar but got a seat in the dining area. The salad was good, the pasta was good too and the pizza was crunchy and cheesy. We got recommended to eat the pizza with the hot honey and it did not disappoint. But honestly, it was just decent and good. I didn't feel like it was mind blowing. It definitely felt like it was overhyped. But maybe I'll come back and bring my Bf to try it. read more
