Very unique concept and experience! We came towards opening so the line went by fast but it grew quite a bit by the time we left. Really amazing customer service, they'll explain the menu to you in line so you're prepared to order at the front. From there, you sit in the back patio area and dishes come out one by one. The menu itself is a bit on the higher end, but it's a great spot to split and share. Cesar salad and sourdough are a must! The pizza looked intriguing but we opted for three pasta dishes instead. Fusilli was my favorite, followed by the Cacio e Pepe, and then lemon pasta. I liked the unique noodle options and was satisfied with the dishes. I finally made it here! A new staple in my neighborhood. This place is sooo cute, the decor and furniture; every detail is immaculate. We came right before opening their dinner service at 5pm. As soon as you walk in you're greeted by smiling staff (one of them dj'ing real records), you order at the bar then are sat. There's some bar seating and a few tables in the front but most of the seating is in the back patio area. I had been once before and loved the back patio, so I was excited to come back -- this time without my baby -- and fully enjoy a night out with the girls. We started with olives, sparkling wine, house sourdough, and the prosciutto and burrata. The bread comes in a cute little cast iron -- warm, fluffy, and perfect alongside the prosciutto and cheese. For mains, we shared two focaccia-style pizzas: the margherita and the fiore di zucca (squash blossom). The squash blossom was my favorite -- it had pancetta, stracciatella, and béchamel, and was such a fun, flavorful combination. We also ordered two pastas to share (we had a vegetarian in the group, so we split one meat and one non-meat dish). The pomodoro was light, fresh, and slightly citrusy, while the baked paccheri was rich and indulgent. Both were delicious, but the paccheri was probably my favorite. For dessert, we had the affogato and cannoli -- and that cannoli filling was so good. The way this place works is you line up to order, then they give you a number for your table and seat you and then there are waiters and waitresses to bring you your food. As we waited in line they brought us menus and answered any questions we had and had great suggestions/recommendations, they were also super welcoming and friendly, Between the 3 of us we shared the Caesar salad, the sourdough bread, the pepperoni and the Diavola pizzas, the Pappardelle a limone and the mezzi rigatoni pomodoro pastas. Everything we had was amazingly delicious. All of the dishes were served hot and fresh out of the kitchen which I loved as well. Then you're guided walk to the back that opens up to a huge restaurant with so many tables and welcoming atmosphere. I was greeted by the friendliest host. Every single person--from the host/hostess to the waitress to the staff delivering our food--was polite, attentive, and welcoming. 10/10 across the board. The interior is cute, quaint, and slightly intimate--perfect for a relaxed dining experience. Another 10/10. Now, the food--fresh, flavorful, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. This is a really hot, vibey Italian restaurant in Long Beach. I was not surprised to see the long line of people waiting to get in around 6:00 p.m., so I hopped out of the car to join the line while hubby drove around looking for parking. As a really great touch, staff came through the line outside to hand out menus and talk with us about the dishes and answer any questions. The indoor space is small, but inviting. I love the dark, warm colors, and the art started an interesting conversation in our group . Be sure to check out the cool hippo bench and the greeter frog on the bar--both are right up my alley. There is a bar that serves craft beer and wine. The way that it works is that you order at the bar, and then you are seated. When we were finally at the front of the line, they asked if we would mind giving out order at the table after we were seated to help move things along. After we were taken to our table, the server brought his pad out and took our order at our table. Again, he was so helpful answering questions and offering suggestions. He explained that the dishes come out as they are ready, and that most people eat family style, sharing what has arrived at the table as it comes. After we put in our order, we closed out at the same time. That is brilliant! There was no waiting after our meal to close out. We were not very hungry (if I'm being honest, I wasn't at all hungry, but I just really wanted to try his place), so we skipped the antipasti. My husband and I recently came here for a much needed date night after finding this restaurant online. Even though they don't take reservations unless you have a large party, the line moved surprisingly fast. From the moment we got in line, the staff made us feel welcomed. I have been wanting to check this place out due to seeing it online recently and got here at 5:45 PM and there was already a line forming on a Saturday evening. It went by pretty fast and we got seated in 30 minutes. The concept is interesting because you order first and pay and then get seated. I didn't quite have a problem with that but didn't feel like I had a lot of flexibility in food choices when and if inspiration hit afterwards. The sourdough bread was perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Caesar was generously coated in dressing and parmesan--every bite truly felt like the first. The pizza ended up being our favorite. The sourdough crust was unreal, and after the first bite we just looked at each other in awe. Finally check this place out and it was delicious!! Could have gotten a 5/5 but there was only one minor problem, the check in part. It took nearly 10-12mins for us to order because the people in front of us couldn't decided what they wanted and it was holding up the line, so make sure you are ready to order and look over the menu prior to coming. Service: was 5/5 the staff are nice, knowledgeable of the menu and attentive. Food: everything was a 5/5. The Caesar salad is a must, love the a diavola pizza, make note that the pizza is more of a deep dish type so you will get full, baked mezzi rigatoni was on fire!!! What an experience. Let's start with the location, street parking, came on a Friday at 5pm and was half block away. You wait in line when you arrive and order your food at the counter one by one and then sit down. When you hear that, know it isn't fast food walk up to the counter it is a curated discussion, with a wine tasting if you are deciding on drinks all during this counter order. I didn't mind and came prepared and ready and love it. It felt personalized and familiar and the owner even walked us to our seats. Great conversation with our hostess (much more than that so maybe a different title) and the owner. So be ready to wait but know it is all worth it. We started with the homemade sourdough and the persimmon and grapes with whipped ricotta. I will be honest, I don't love sourdough generally but this was fabulous and not "too sour". It was served with a high quality olive oil and THE BEST BUTTER I have ever had. It is imported and I need to find out from where next time. I can only explain it as the most butter flavor from a real butter I have ever had. The whipped ricotta with the frisée and charred fruit was refreshing and amazing. Great recommendation from our hostess. We had the Cacio e Pepe made with a bucatini which was amazing. The bucatini was perfect to hold that sauce and is probably one of the best I ever had. We finished with the 16 oz RIBEYE TAGLIATA with brown butter and saba and served with an amazing arugula salad with cherry tomatoes, lemon vinaigrette topped with a snow of cheese. The salad was huge and amazing. My husband's said he doesn't really like arugula (which I grow in our garden and love) but turns out with this dressing and enough cheese he loves it, so win for me and our garden! He also claims he doesn't like anchovies but orders Caesar salads everywhere, so take it for what it is! Never had Saba before but it is sweeter and at first I was caught off guard. I am a "ribeye with salt and pepper maybe butter/garlic at most purist" this was as surprising taste. It wasn't steak sauce overwhelming, it was a perfect compliment to the fatty rib eye and brown butter and with the peppery arugula salad with a citrus dressing it was all a perfectly combined dish. Wine and beer only here, which is not my preferred but the great selection and tasting options made up for it. It was a fabulous dinner and the vibe of the whole place and the level of service, truly put it over the top. Can't wait to go back and try more things and that brunch menu. Cheers! read more

A cute, cozy spot loved by the locals! No reservations--order upfront and then seat yourself--and you're instantly transported to a charming, unique vibe. As we walked in, the waitress recognized us and said, "Welcome back!"--setting the tone for the rest of the experience. We started with the house sourdough, served warm with olive oil and high-quality butter. Next was the scallop crudo with chive oil. The raw scallops were buttery and soft on the palate--absolutely delightful. The Caesar salad came next, with cheese dusted leaf by leaf--it was a small indulgence I didn't mind at all. The standout for me was the pappardelle al limone. Lemon can be tricky--it's either too acidic or overbearing--but this dish struck the perfect balance of brightness and creaminess without feeling heavy or overly dairy-forward. We tried a few other pastas (so good I forgot to snap photos before diving in!), which speaks volumes about how delicious everything was. Due Fiori was absolutely delicious from start to finish. We started with the Caesar salad and fresh bread, which were the perfect way to begin the meal. The deep-dish pizza was rich, flavorful, and had the perfect crust, while the gnocchi was soft, pillowy, and cooked beautifully. The artichokes and beans were also a great addition, full of flavor and perfectly prepared. For dessert, we had the cannolis and the affogato, and both were the perfect sweet ending to an amazing meal. Came out to Due Fiori as a solo diner, and really loved sitting at the small but cozy and cute bar area! The indoor space is not too big, but there's more seating in the back. There was a huge line when I arrived around 9 PM on a Friday, but the staff was awesome and kept the flow moving with good vibes all around. I had a chance to review the menu while I was in line so by the time I got in, I already knew what I wanted to order. If you're seated at the bar, you can order directly with the staff behind the counter. If you're seated at a table, you order first at the register, and then are handed a number to place at your table so staff know where to deliver the food to. Undoubtedly, they have a wonderful wine menu. Their plates are best for sharing, so as a solo diner, I didn't splurge on appetizers, but stuck to wine and a pasta. I ordered the Fusilli Corti Bucati (which has nduja, pink sauce, cavallo nero, parmigiano reggiano, brown butter breadcrumbs) and it was amazing. It was the perfect amount of sauce, spice, and of course, cheese on top! Such a nice and buzzing ambiance. I'd love to come back on a date or with friends! I was so excited to try this place. We got there and the line wasn't too bad. We waiting maybe like 25 min. From the start the customers service was awesome. Someone came out to welcome us and hand us menus and answer any questions. Everyone we encountered was lovely and welcoming. We ordered the sourdough bread, lemon pasta, and diavola pizza. In our opinion, the food was OK. I believe it's a bit over hyped. However, because of the customer service and overall vibes, we do wanna come back to try other dishes. read more
