Once upon a time, this Faerie Queen was celebrating a birthed day and we decided this was the place for dinner. We made the right choice! The menu has changed and really focuses on sushi with a few ramen selections. The sushi rolls are terrific! We tried two new ones- the lemon sushi roll and the sake bomb. Both were really delicious! We ordered a few more rolls, and we enjoyed them as well. The sushi is fresh and the rolls are cut to be bite sized, which we really appreciated. Great place! We highly recommend. The end.

Great restaurant with incredible service. We had a party of 5 on a Saturday night and lucked out with no wait! We ordered edamame, agedashi tofu, an avocado roll, a spicy tuna roll, shrimp tempura roll, baked salmon roll, a spicy pork plate, and at least 2-3 more fresh rolls. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Located on bellflower and Stearns in the same plaza as TJs, with ample parking. Their menu is available online and up to date!

This place has the freshest sushi and sashimi in the Long Beach/Lakewood area. I live a distance from this place and love their service and menu offerings. Ambiance is that of a standard sushi bar with seats at the counter and tables for larger groups. This is a place you must try!

My wife and I were hungry and lately we have been eating more and more sushi and Mediterranean foods. We found this quiet spot in Long Beach in the Los Altos shopping center. We shared their chicken teriyaki plate and ordered their Maui rolls. We liked that the teriyaki sauce was served on the side allowing us to determine how much we wanted. It was served on a bed of shredded cabbage. The plate came with a salad and rice on the side. We also ordered their Miso soup, that really was better than other sushi restaurants. We enjoyed the Maui rolls. Just the right size and moist not dry. The fish was nicely cut. Our server was very polite and attentive. We plan to visit this location again!!

This place has a killer lunch menu tuesday-Friday 11am-2pm. I got the sushi set with a spicy tuna roll, it comes with 10 pieces of sushi. Firstly, it comes with a miso soup, which they load with red seaweed and tofu. The sushi pieces come out and it's two pieces each of tuna, yellowtail, salmon, albacore, and shrimp. The sushi pieces were a great ratio of thick slices of fish and well seasoned rice. The fish was cold and fresh. The spicy tuna roll was also actually spicy and was a balance of spicy tuna, rice, and cucumber.  Everything was delicious, and for $22, this is a great deal. Waitresses were all very very kind and I will definitely be back.

I eat a lot of sushi, and I can tell just from the first bite that this place is one of the few that truly has fresh fish and genuinely cares about quality. I'd come again whenever I crave for sushi. Service and ambiance low key give me local izakaya vibes.

Delicious as usual. We really enjoy Sushi Kinoya. This is our go-to neighborhood sushi spot. Parking is easy. The kids enjoy the udon. The hubs and I love the food. Service is always friendly. We arrived on a Friday night. Unfortunately, the restaurant was understaffed that day, but it didn't hinder us from enjoying our experience. I decided to get a no-rice roll this time. Kyoto roll is now my new favorite. We also ordered agedashi tofu to start. Loved it. Portion was on the small side but tasty nonetheless. Dining room is the same as last; no frills, strip mall sushi spot template.

Such a nice and intimate spot. There was only one server at the time but he did so well to accommodate us! Food quality was good, price is average like other locations. The tempura green beans were only $3.50 as a special which was nice. Good place to try if you're in the area.

Hubby & I came here for lunch yesterday. We got seated right away since it was pretty empty. Ambiance was quiet & there was only one server but she was attentive & efficient. Our order came out pretty quick which was nice. We started off miso soup & ice cold draft beer. Then we ordered 7 pieces of nigiri & yellowtail truffle along with hot sake. Everything was good! Quality of fish was fresh & the rice to fish ratio was just about right. I'd like that their menu had wide range of options to choose from. I'd definitely like to come back to try their other nigiri & sashimi dish.

They don't have the albacore delight roll anymore ☹️?

The Bonsai Roll is their new albacore delight, it's so much better!!

Hi! We love Sushi Kinoya! Tomorrow is our 15 year wedding anniversary and we want to come for dinner. Can we bring a bottle of champagne?

Bring it and ask, owners are awesome can't imagine why they wouldn't let you drink it.

Is this all you can eat?

No, but the portions are good for the prices.

The garlic noodles were so tasty but not overpowering and the pork belly was crispy fried to perfection. It was homey simple and freshly made. TOTAL OUT OF BOUNDS. I can honestly say, that this dish was worth a Michelin star!! And I got my self a cucumber lemonade and it came with a big plastic container and it was so refreshing! I told Lily, the owner, that she is doing something special with her food and I will come back here soon to try their other offering. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I believe the owners were there that evening, they were incredibly kind and even toasted with me a few times, which made the experience feel extra special. Every dish was beautifully presented, incredibly fresh, and packed with flavor. I wish I could tell you exactly what everything was, but my ADHD memory isn't doing me any favors . What I do remember is that every bite was delicious. The sashimi melted in my mouth, the nigiri was perfectly prepared, and the presentation was stunning from start to finish. If you're looking for high quality sushi in Long Beach, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. I already can't wait to go back. P.S. I probably should've sent it back and got the chicken instead. We loved the mixed tempura. It was crisp and not too greasy. I also liked my spicy tuna roll. Service was friendly and attentive. There's plenty of parking which is shared by Target and other smaller stores in the same lot.

Chinese hot pot has a variety of options for sauce whereas this one is about clean fresh ingredients. I ate several orders of the thinly sliced salmon plus the sashimi plate. I ordered the silver and it perfectly suited my needs. Great quality ingredients and I usually don't eat rice and curry at AYCE but I enjoyed the wagyu curry very much. I'd save a tiny room in your stomach to sample this. My friend who prefers Malatang style hot pot thought the flavors were too flat for his taste but this was perfect to fill up on lean proteins post my triathlon. For the booktok girls - I went during Sunday lunch and I think the server was Randy? Anyway, he was so thoughtful and by his gestures you can tell he's a respectful dude. Careful with his movements in collecting dishes, checking in at the right time, patient at explaining anything. And I'm short so he bent down and looked me in the eye when talking to me. I'm old but young ladies this man was adorable and I hope you get him as your server bc he had a comforting voice and gentle eyes. I could talk to him all day lol but the food is good too.
