911 Roll, SPRING ROLL, and a Shrimp Crunchy Roll.

We were on our way to Saint & Second and as we were driving down Second St we seen @Sushi. We immediately decided we wanted sushi instead. We were all happy with this choice. This place has extremely fresh and tasty appetizers and sushi rolls. We're all definitely coming back. They have mostly inside seating but do have a small little patio. Unsure if people actually eat out there. They have a tv which was nice because we were able to catch the end of the Rams/Bears game last night. Very clean. Great Wall decor. Bathroom was clean. The service was top notch. Very attentive and friendly. For starters we ordered Spicy Garlic Edamame, Garlic Salmon Chili, Spicy Tuna Rice Crispy, and the Shumai. Everything was delicious. They were all 10/10, but that Garlic Salmon Chili was our favorite. The 3 rolls I ordered and enjoyed eating were the Spring Roll, Cucumber Special Roll and the 911 Roll. Both were a 10/10. I would definitely order these again. Out of all the Rolls ordered the fan favorite was the Spring Roll with that amazing sauce. Dynamite. Until next time.

Look at this delicious spread and presentation! YUM!

This is one of the best sushi spots in Belmont Shore! I've been here several times and the food is just amazing each time I go. The service is incredible, and if there's a wait they always get you in very quickly, and the charming, energetic owner always greets you and makes sure you are taken care of. There is street metered parking, or you can try to find a spot in the busy neighborhood. The ambiance inside is very quaint, upscale, and charming. Although it's a small spot it's adorable inside and seats plenty of guests. I'm a huge fan of the yellowtail sashimi and I have never gone wrong with ANY of the specialty rolls here-they are all delicious and 5/5!! I love the rainbow roll as well as some of their own special rolls. The real star is not on the menu, but please listen when I tell you to order the pickled wasabi and it will LEVEL UP your sushi experience!!! I also like to enjoy hot saki here with a cold beer and the overall experience is always delightful. Check out this hidden gem for a new sushi experience and you'll be thrilled!

This place was amazing! I noticed that they had 5 stars so I had to try it out myself, and might I say, well deserved! The service was great. The waitress checked on us several times and was very sweet. I came on a Saturday evening and it wasn't crowded at all. The food came out surprisingly fast. I absolutely loved the presentation of everything, especially the baked salmon roll. The food was really good and fresh as well. Definitely the best baked salmon roll I've ever had! Their scallop roll was good. Their garlic edamame and crab & cucumber salad were so delicious. Their sauces are in house made. There is about 4 bar seats outside. There is also more seating available indoor as well, which is where I sat. Very small, intimate place. I loved everything about my experience and would definitely return. There is so many food options to choose from. Thank you!

This was by far the best baked salmon roll I have ever had! I would go back just for that again. The salmon had a garlic flavor to it which made it so much better than the usual. Ordered a few other rolls as well that I enjoyed. Service was attentive.

Best sushi in long beach! I've been here twice and there's always been little to no wait given that it's a pretty small restaurant. It's a wonderful restaurant for a special occasion or night out on Belmont. We ordered the blue fin tuna, salmon tataki, hot day roll, and Long Beach roll. The blue fin tuna was so fresh with the fresh wasabi. The salmon tataki was my second favorite with the truffle oil that cuts through the classic lemon salmon combo.

This was my first time here and all I can say is wow. The sushi is very fresh, service is excellent, everyone is so friendly. The restaurant is nice and cozy with a lot of space between tables. Restaurant is very clean and all the employees were helping each other to cater to their guests. The food and service is what will keep me coming back.

I have been eyeing this spot for a while and finally able to try it with a friend. Wow, I was quite impressed. Service was absolutely wonderful for a small place. Luckily on a mid-week visit they weren't to busy and therefore we were not rushed. The quality of each dish was wonderful. Portions were sizable. They had some unique dish options that hit the spot and made them stand out verse other sushi spots. A cozy little place located at the end of the bustling 2nd street area. Parking was relatively easy mid-week, however weekends would be a challenge. Among all the wonderful sushi spots in Long Beach, this spots definitely competes. Nice to enjoy another gem within the city. I will be keeping this one in the rotation.

This place has amazing food, the appetizers are delicious and not too heavy. And the lobster roll was really good and not too much. The price isn't bad either. The vibe and service is outstanding. Only bad thing is parking

Wowww. I've lived in this area most my life and never been to this spot. The owner told me they've been open for around 6 years already! The fish is SO fresh! Very very clean. I went with a friend of mine and we were both super happy. Service is super nice. We ended up speaking to the owner and he was super nice and we spoke about the quality of the fish being very yummy. You can tell they take care about their customers as well as the food! Highly recommend and will be back !

Amazing sushi place! Would consider it a hole in the wall. Top grade sushi. And the service is always great. Love coming here.

Location: 2nd street, corner spot facing the major Street. It has a big "at" character, naturally lol Menu: sushi, rolls, carpaccio, udon, salads, few skewer selections, beers, sashimi, miso soup We pigged out and there were no regrets. I can't remember everything but we got aloha roll, "spring" roll, blue fin carpaccio, sheseido peppers, cucumber crab salad, sushi, and beers This place did everything very well. Very content. Parking: street Seating: mainly indoor seating but I think I saw a few spots on the patio. Good for smaller groups like 2-4. But I can see a group of 6+ could still fit.

We have been in Long Beach for a week for the Cali Vibes concert. We have tried numerous restaurants including Japanese and Thai. @sushi is hands down the best place we have dined. As a matter of fact, some of the best sushi we have had in any city. Waiter/ service was phenomenal. Atmosphere was great. Fish was so fresh and perfect texture. I give it the highest recommendation possible.

Are you on Open Table or Resy?

    No they are not

    Can you make reservations?

They usually only take reservations for parties of 5 or more.

How much is omikase? Thank you!

I think it was about $80.

    Is the patio dog friendly?

I asked that question tonight while at the restaurant. Since all of the tables are currently outside due to COVID-19 restrictions, they are dog friendly.

Do you have happy hour and outdoor seating?

I don't know about happy hour, but there's definitely outside seating!

Do you have options for veggie or vegan rolls? 🌱

Yes we do. We have some vegetable roll, tempuras. Thank you for asking.😘

We sat at the bar and the sushi, chefs and server were nice. We ordered their spicy edamame which was loaded with flavor by far the best spicy edamame. I love the garlic and chili combos with a little citrus flavor. Also ordered the stinky roll, which is spicy tuna on the inside and salmon on the outside which I liked very much couldn't decide on a second roll so I asked the server to surprise us and kind of regret doing that because he had brought us a roll that I was already cringing at reading the description on the menu which was their long beach roll however, the crunch it had on the inside was very nice and not too heavy. I don't feel that asparagus should be anywhere near a sushi roll, but that was my bad. Also ordered their Yuzu cheesecake, which was a no for me. It was too strong and screaming Yuzu simialr to lemon zest and super tiny. The quality of the ingredients they use here are pretty good. I would come back to try other items, but I do not suggest getting their dessert or their long beach roll.

They're also known for their seared Aburi Miso Cod, which melts in your mouth with umami flavors. They also carry uni, giant clam and ankimo but sell out fast. From the kitchen, I really like the al dente edamame with added spicy garlic crunch, their take on Agedashi tofu with spicy red radish and fried onion, baked green mussels and seafood tempura. The agedashi tofu and tempura were executed well, crispy and love the added shiso leaf and umeboshi paste to add flavor to the fish tempura. The sushi chef, Kay, and staff are so attentive and nice. Sushi Nikkei is a unique experience, blending sushi with Peruvian cuisine. It's a fantastic date night spot for adventurous foodies. Here's what I got that I think really made Sushi Nikkei shine: Scallops - These grilled scallops are small, but pack a punch with smoky charred flavors from the grill, tender scallops, and crispy crunchies from the popped quinoa. This is a great starter. Tuna Tacos - These are simple and delicious. One to two bites of crisp, refreshing, flavorful tuna tartare in a light, flaky fried wonton shell. Tostada - This was good, but a goof one to pass on if you're choosing between appetizers. It's a good sample of all of the fresh flavors available, but the tuna tacos are just a similar and better option. Nikkei Tasting - The Nikkei tasting is the perfect way to try what Peruvian sushi means. It's a fun encapsulation of what flavors they want to bring forward in their dishes. All of the pieces are very unique, flavorful, and fun to try. I've gotten this every single time I've been here and I have not regretted it. Unknown Tiradito - I am always underwhelmed by their tiraditos/ceviche situations, so it makes sense why I can't remember what this one was called. I also can't find the name on their menus, but I've included it in the photos here. They're fresh, but to me, the flavors are always a little wonky. This one in particular was relying on the flavor of a high quality olive oil, but it never came through. Lava Scallops - We added this one as a bite to our Nikkei tasting. It has a plump, juicy piece of scallop. Shinjuku - The shinjuku is a must order, and our favorite Nikkei bite of the night. It was simple, delicious, and a perfect way to showcase the quality of their fish and flavors. I had a group dinner here, so we all had a blast trying lots of different things.
