    Baked Lobster Roll
    Joanna G.

First time trying this place after searching nearby for some sushi. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the food. It was delicious and the edamame was our favorite part. We already have plans to come again and try the Shocking Lobster and Gyoza. They do not sell fountain drinks but they have a big selection of drinks to choose from. Service was great and the host/cashier was attentive and nice. We ordered at the front then sat down to wait for the food and it was later brought to us. It was empty when we arrive but slowly picked up with people. There's plenty of room to sit and it's a cute little spot. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Restaurant is accessible from freeways, no issues finding parking on a Saturday night. Located just off Cherry street. Food was amazing! We ordered several rolls and nigiris, as well as some miso soups. We were satisfied with the amount of food as well as quality. Food came fast, we did not wait long despite being a party on the larger size (7 people). I highly recommend Akii Sushi! Staff were very friendly, space is clean, and prices are very affordable. The next time I'm in the area, I'd come back again.

Cool little sushi shop in a random little plaza right smack on Wardlow and cherry . I believe it's all other food places here in this small plaza so there is parking available to patrons. I have been here on 3 different occasions & have done both dine in & take out ! Usually a creature of habit so have got basically the same thing every time and it's been the crunch roll , gyozas, & miso soup & they smack every time. Service here is good , it's always the same lady and she's very nice. I've noticed they have lunch specials but have not come on during those times ! Plenty of room to dine in . Very nice and neat in there !

Drove Past This Place Too Many Times, So My Husband And I Finally Decided To Give It A Try. The Place Is A Bit Small But Welcoming. I Don't Like The Fact That We Have To Order And Pay At The Front Before Being Seated. Been To A Different Sushi Place That Did The Same And Had A Horrible Experience But I'm So Happy That This Place Didn't Disappoint ! I Ordered The Angry Roll And Sunset Roll. I Love Spicy Sushi And Their Angry Roll Was The Spiciest Sushi I Have Ever Had. It's So Delicious ! The Sunset Roll Was Also Delicious And It Help Calm Down The Spiciness Going On In My Mouth LOL.... My Husband Ordered The Beef Teriyaki. He Said It Was A Bit Too Dry. He Won't Be Having That Again... I Would Defiantly Be Back Again But My Husband Would Have To Try Something Else On Their Menu

loved this spot!! It's a very intimate space tucked away off Cherry, but don't let that deter you. The service was so friendly and welcoming and the food was great. I came in with 7 friends and even though there's not a lot of seating inside, they helped accommodate our large party and got us seated right away. We ordered a lot of sushi, some rolls, and some starters (the tempura was great, and the chicken wings were actually SOO good and super juicy and tender) and the food came out pretty quickly too. The fish was really fresh and the proportions of fish to rice was perfect. The rice texture and flavor was really nice too. Would definitely recommend this spot if you're craving sushi in the area!

Came here with a group of 7 friends and we had a great experience! We got seated and received our food very quickly. We ordered a variety of rolls, sashimi, chicken wings, miso soup, and tempura. Everything was delicious and flavorful! The location is a little lowkey tucked away but I would def recommend this for lunch or dinner! Parking was easy since there is a lot in front of the restaurant as well.

Peaceful, cool, clean sushi sit-down and take-out place to grab a quick bite to eat. The Dragon Roll and California Roll were delicious and just what we needed on a hot day. Thank you to the employees for being courteous and welcoming.

Food was delicious and the food was served in a very timely manner. We ordered the Philadelphia roll with a teriyaki chicken plate. The plate was enough for two! Even though they may have had some AC problems I couldn't tell as they had two fans going to keep the room at a good temperature.

After waiting in a short line, the cashier explained the lunch specials and gave a nice warning about the heat on the angry roll - I almost changed my mind. The restaurant space is cozy and decorated with real plants, but wasn't crowded. I started with a delightfully stuffed fried jalapeño followed by the 6 piece garlic chicken wings - crispy, somewhat sweet, and well-seasoned. The angry roll was indeed spicy (not overwhelming) and delicious! Typically sushi can be too rich for me, but I was able to eat the entire roll without issue. The tuna portion was generous to the degree that it was enjoyable and filling. There was a strong selection of sake, beers, and soft drinks - I chose Sapporo. Other diners ordered several entrees that I'll have to try on another visit.

Food was amazing! We appreciate the lady that assisted us. She held the front down. Inside is very small. Not most for big groups. I will definitely be back.

The food, service, and the dining space were AMAZING. I tried many of the rolls, chicken wings, tempura, and nigiri and everything was absolutely fire. The server, Ivy, was so friendly and the owner, Janney, was also the best. Definitely a must try in this area!

Location: This place is in a tiny busy center with other food places. Parking: They have parking, but during the lunch hour can be a bit hectic. Food: I ordered to go since it was my lunch hour, and I needed to head back. The order process was easy and fast. I ordered the salmon plate. It came with salad, gyoza, white rice, and California roll. The salmon wasn't anything special, and I will admit I'm very picky when it comes to salmon, so please keep that in mind. It was bland; it had no flavor whatsoever. The gyoza was okay, and the California roll was OK, too. I didn't try the salad. Service: The lady who took my order was pleasant and quickly took my order. However, once my order was packed and ready, I asked for hot sauce and was told it would be 25 cents. I didn't have it, so I told her never mind. She gave it to me anyway. Once I returned to my desk, I noticed the container with the hot sauce was half empty. (See picture) I mean, I get not giving utensils or sauces unless requested, but come on! If you are going to charge me, you better give me an entire container of what I'm PAYING you! This annoyed me for sure. I will try this place again, but it will be a while.

This was dinner tonight. 09/27/22. It was good! Party of 3. We ordered the following: Garlic chicken wings. They had a great crispness to it. The flavor wasn't saturated in if that makes sense. It's like they just put garlic on top of the wings. 3/5 Edemame. Could've used a little more salt. And no, there was no table salt and yes we could've asked for salt but we didn't. 4/5 Mix tempura. Shrimp, yam, broccoli, squash and a russet potato. Lol 4/5 California rolls 8 pcs x 2. They were Cali rolls. They satisfied my daughters craving. 5/5 Crunchy roll. The pieces were a little too big but they were good. 4/5 Lobster roll. Great presentation and it was good but a little overwhelming with the sauces - Mayo and eel sauce. 4/5 Overall, the fam and I were satisfied. The staff was very nice and polite. They offered complimentary rice balls that were really good! We will definitely be back but not anytime soon. I think we ordered too much tonight and are on sushi overload!

Their menu has a pretty extensive offering of Japanese food ranging from rice dishes, sushi, ramen, and izakaya-style appetizers. My wife and I ordered a bunch of handrolls and they were quite filling here. Their tuna handroll and shrimp tempura handrolls were the handrolls that we'd want to order again. Didn't enjoy the scallop handroll as much; however, they had a scallop sashimi appetizer this month that was amazing. The appetizer had thinly sliced hotate (Hokkaido scallops), seasoned with yuzu and it was delicious. Also ordered a soft-shell crab appetizer and we appreciated the meatiness of the soft-shell crab. While it was sometimes difficult to get the attention of servers, we felt the quality of the seafood was pretty good here. For this reason, this is a really welcome addition to the east long beach community and I'll definitely be back!

We sat at the bar and the sushi, chefs and server were nice. We ordered their spicy edamame which was loaded with flavor by far the best spicy edamame. I love the garlic and chili combos with a little citrus flavor. Also ordered the stinky roll, which is spicy tuna on the inside and salmon on the outside which I liked very much couldn't decide on a second roll so I asked the server to surprise us and kind of regret doing that because he had brought us a roll that I was already cringing at reading the description on the menu which was their long beach roll however, the crunch it had on the inside was very nice and not too heavy. I don't feel that asparagus should be anywhere near a sushi roll, but that was my bad. Also ordered their Yuzu cheesecake, which was a no for me. It was too strong and screaming Yuzu simialr to lemon zest and super tiny. The quality of the ingredients they use here are pretty good. I would come back to try other items, but I do not suggest getting their dessert or their long beach roll.

We'd made reservations and got seated at the counter, which offered a great vantage point from which to see the chefs work. We ordered: - Potato salad with nori and onsen egg (truly extraordinary potato salad) - Hokkaido scallop skewers (good but a bit too salty) - grilled rice ball with spicy cod roe (delicious) - white fish sashimi in ponzu (beautiful presentation and great flavors) - monkfish karaage (delicately fried pillowy white fish with intriguing matcha salt accompaniment) - black mussels (perfectly cooked juicy mussels in a delicious citrusy buttery broth that I seriously could've just drunk down) The service, while friendly, was slightly uneven: an extra rice ball we ordered got missed but we were able to take it off the bill, and a requested green tea refill took a really long time to come. But the staff were all so friendly and enthusiastic and the place was so busy I was willing to cut them some slack. It's a beautiful, fun place and I wish it continued success!

The menu had such a wide variety of Japanese cuisine, from sushi, to katsu, to donburi, there's something for everyone! Loved the modern clean vibes of the interior. We also ordered a plate of nigiri as our appetizer, and the fish quality was really fresh. I ordered the chicken katsu plate for myself, and my was it delicious. I've never tasted katsu so light even though it's typically fried, and love the sauce they paired the katsu with. It was almost like a mustard? But it wasn't too overpowering or anything. We finished the night with the tempura ice cream, and let me tell you, this is a MUST. I honestly just expected them to throw some panko on top of a scoop of ice cream, but Te-Buru's take is (somehow) baking a tempura crust right onto a giant scoop of ice cream and then cutting up the scoop into wedges. The ice cream surprisingly did not melt all that quickly either, and the matcha flavor was on point. Our servers were quick to meet our requests, nothing super outstanding but made the meal pretty seamless. Prices I think were pretty standard except for their sushi. Those are bit on the steeper side, but again, their fish quality is really good. For parking, they do have a small lot, but there's also street parking and parking in the neighborhood behind the restaurant. You'd be delulu not to try Te-Buru!
