    Youngster Chicken Bowl
    Cindy R.

It's on the pricier end compared to where I usually go, but they are delicious and the fish is fresh! I've ordered from here twice now and have really enjoyed the flavors of the rolls; the first time I ordered the Awesome Roll along with a couple others that I don't quite remember at the moment, but I really loved the Awesome one. The kids Youngster Chicken Bowl is a good size as well. My kid really enjoyed the perfectly cooked rice and I thought it was delicious that the teriyaki chicken has bits of veggie mixed in as well. One of the rolls I ordered this time around (yesterday), the Punk roll was a no-rice roll, and it was absolutely delicious! I would order it again. Fresh pieces of fish wrapped in crab salad and rice paper. The sauces it comes topped with is supposedly spicy, but I thought it was perfect. It was a mix of chili oil, sesame oil, and mustard dressing. Let me tell you!! It was a flavor bomb. I also got an eel roll, I think it was the Black Dragon. Very delicious. I did not eat at the restaurant, so I cannot really speak on the service, but one of the staff there was kind to open the door and another inside made sure I got the utensils I needed. It does seem pretty small and in an area where parking is probably tough (I parked on the corner on red since I was just popping in and out), but I will try to make it a point to dine in sometime.

Sushi Mafia is one of my go-to sushi spots. The food is consistently fresh and delicious, and since I live close enough to walk, I order takeout pretty often. I'm happy to say it's just as good as dining in -- always prepared quickly, fresh, and packaged well. On my most recent visit I tried the fried calamari, which was excellent. It had a great crunch, wasn't chewy, and came with a really delicious sauce. For rolls, I usually stick with the California or spicy tuna, and they never disappoint. Reliable, fresh, and always satisfying.

This is a fun casual spot to enjoy some sushi and good drinks with friends. The service is EXCELLENT here. They try to make you feel at home. I came on New Years and they gave everyone a free cup of champagne to celebrate. Everyone had festive new years hats. They were all great! They have a huge menu - if you can't find something you like, you might just be too hard to please. I had the Hello Kitty Hand roll. It's almost too beautiful to eat. But it was great! A wonderful mix of great fish. And no rice, so you really focus on the fish. I also had the LB Sun roll. Also a work of art! This also doesn't have any rice. My only complaint is it was actually harder to eat than I thought it would be since it doesn't have an actual wrap around it. But if you're into sauces, the sauce on this plate is great. My plate was clean by the end of this because I wanted that sauce on every bite. They also serve ramen and sashimi which I definitely want to come back to try. Parking can be rough here since it's downtown LBC. But I eventually found a spot. And it was worth it! Definitely support this great local team business, they're a fun team!

First off the food is amazing. For the price, you genuinely can't beat the quality they provide. Everything I had from cut rolls, hand rolls, to nigiri was spectacular (and I've had sushi in Japan). Menu has a ton of amazing options as well if you're vegan, vegetarian or have dietary restrictions. Not to mention they do take-out. This restaurant itself is so cute, very simple besides some wall decor and wall paintings which I love, not the quietest, but I adore a good bustling sushi joint any day of the week. And the service is amazing. Attentive, courteous and kind without being overbearing. My girlfriend had been raving about this place since we started dating so I took her for her birthday. Told them in advance on Yelp when I made a reservation and they handled it all with such kindness and grace. They gave her a birthday ice cream, candle and all. But it didn't end there, they walked up and handed her a Sushi Mafia bag as a present as well!! All around one of the most memorable sushi experiences I've had. You have a new regular

Delicious rolls and I ordered Tonkotsu Ramen, which was good. The Spicy Yellowtail and Godfather rolls were excellent choices! The prices were also decent.

I wanted to give this place 4 stars at first. Mainly bc the cuts weren't as thick as places like teburu in north Long Beach. But... every piece of fish was solid. Beer came out in a chilled glass. And the service was a solid 10 stars if I could give this place a 10. This isn't a bougie place but it def hits the spot just right. We came here on Valentine's Day and they brought out little shot classes worth of champagne for every table. Again, I can't say enough about the service. Everyone that was out was able to take your order and help. Glad we stopped by!

This is officially my #1 sushi spot in LB. Freshest sushi & casual dine in. Can't beat the quality & classic roll prices. Updating my review again. We dined in on a Friday around 4pm, right before the dinner rush. Service was excellent and quick. Apps: Small salad for $3 was perfect to complement sushi. Mixed tempura with shrimp is always made to order. The batter and dip are so good. Half shell oysters have tangy ponzu. So delicious. Sushi: the classics are an unbelievable price for the quality. The fish is soft and melts in your mouth. Spicy albacore & salmon cut rolls are a must try. ANY of their fresh rolls with the mustard sauce or amazing sauce topping are FIRE. The Outlaw (baked) was so different than anything I'd ever had. It was more smoky with a barbecue flavor. Probably the Cajun seared tuna. As always, it was clean. Good for small groups (4-8 people) and parking is street. Thank you for a great meal!!!

I am a sushi lover and sushi mafia has taken my obsession with sashimi and sushi to a whole new level. For the moment we walked in the staff was all friendly and helpful. The menu was full of different options from appetizers, ramen, udon, sushi rolls, hand rolls, sashimi and more. They start you will phenomenal welcoming miso soup. The bluffing sashimi was out of this work with fresh wasabi on the side. The Spicy jjs, were amazing. The hello kitty hand roll was the best hand roll I've ever had. We will be back because I'm going to need to try everything . The inside was small and intimate.

    Garden salad

Stopped in for happy hour on a Sunday night in June and had a very good experience. We started with a squid salad, which was cold and tasted fresh, with big strips of squid. Husband is not a fan so he had a garden salad with a nice ginger dressing. Then out came our spicy garlic edamame, delightful! For entrees, I chose two $7 hand rolls, an eel hand roll (warm) and a salmon skin hand roll extra extra crispy like bacon. Both were prepared exactly as I ordered. I did wonder why the eel roll wasn't eel cucumber or eel avocado. But rice and eel was still good! Spouse had his usual spicy California roll and enjoyed it. Small hot sake $5 sign me up! He likes the Kirin Ichiban beer but not sake. Sometimes we can even order a bomber on sale and split it. Service and ambiance were good, nothing stands out either way in my memory. I do recommend!

So our team and us had to be at the LBC convention center for a work related event well after of course we were hungry so we decided to drop by Sushi Mafia after seeing it on Yelp and the great reviews they had we stopped by and let me tell you upon arriving we got seated and greeted right away , the service and food was absolutely great the sushi all 3 were a 10/10 !! I wish we lived closer I'd come more but next time I'll def stop by make sure you guys check them out !!

Came here on a Saturday around 6pm. Ordered though and online pick up app. Once arrived food was ready quickly and staff was quick. Place had plenty of seating. But took my order to go. Ordered the spicy salmon roll. Salmon was fresh and good bite size but not spicy. Also ordered the spicy crunchy tuna roll it was spicy but the side sauce was not good. Wish it was eel sauce instead. The miso soup came hot and was good. All in all service quick and good and price was reasonable. Good for a one time try.

Food: Sushi is very good here. They have tons of options from rolls to hot food. They serve Miso soup as you sit down and the staff are all very attentive and great overall service. The ambiance is modern and clean. They had the football game on so It was a plus for me.

Sushi Mafia has definitely earned its spot as my second go to sushi spot in Long Beach. If you're looking for generous portions, quick service, and consistently solid rolls, this place delivers. We started with the complimentary miso soup, which is always a nice warm up before diving into everything else. From there, we leveled things up with some quail egg shooters (umami rich and fun), plus yuzu sake and some nigori which is always a great way to set the tone for the meal. When it comes to rolls I pretty much have my two must orders locked in here Amazing Roll - True to its name, this one tastes fresh and bright with just the right amount of spice. Every time I get it it's super consistent and well balanced. LB Sun - A no-rice sashimi style roll that's buttery, clean, and comes with this DELlCIOUS sauce that ties everything together. If you come here, this is a must try. We finished things off with some hand rolls, and this is where Sushi Mafia really shines for me. The portion sizes on the hand rolls are great, especially for the price. I got a California hand roll with added salmon, which was super satisfying, and the Hello Kitty hand roll, which just like the LB Sun is unique to this spot and another must order in my book. Service is quick and efficient, even when they're busy, and it's an easy spot to slide into for a casual sushi fix that doesn't feel skimpy or rushed. The only reason this is a 4 star and not 5 star is that while everything is solid and hits the spot, it leans more into "reliable neighborhood favorite" than full on "wow, life changing sushi." But as a regular rotation spot with great hand roll portions, fun specialty rolls, and fast service, Sushi Mafia more than earns its stars. Will definitely keep coming back

I don't think they have all you can eat sushi.

    I think it's 3-5:30 (I don't think it's til 6:00. I think I remember it ending a little earlier than most)

    Is there currently outside seating?

Yes. They have set up an area with 3-4 tables, right outside. You will probably have to wait, but it's worth it!

What is the amazing sauce on the amazing roll?

From what I can tell it's a lime and cilantro / very mild sauce with like maybe maybe some soy sauce ? Idk exactly but I use it for all my rolls

    It's imitation crab meat

It shares parking with a couple other business and the entrance is just off the alleyway off Carson. Construction in the back did halt some of the parking spaces and entrance on one side. I didn't know where the entrance was walking around the block which found out later that the entrance was where parking is. I believe you could get on the waitlist but it was still early during lunch time when we arrived that it wasn't necessary. The restaurant itself isn't that big. A good amount of Asian modern style seating. Menu is pretty limited but gets down to the punch. Ramen, a couple of rice dishes and starters. Basically it. They had some alcoholic drink options too. We started off with some beers, the crispy chicken which was really nice. Thick chunks of thighs lightly deep fried and served with a dipping sauce. Juicy and tender. Entrees, the tonkatsu which you could make into a combo that comes with a side salad, and with salmon poke bowl or spicy tuna bowl for an additional fee. The broth for the ramen was quite tasty and paired really well with everything that added to it. And very filling. Also had the pork rice bowl with pork chashu, green onions, poached egg, spinach on top of rice. That was quite tasty and filling as well. There's a small and large option. Lastly the vegan ramen with sesame miso broth, broccolini, corn, bean sprouts, soy meat, tofu, baby kale with chili oil. Food was quite tasty and very filling. Service was great with friendly staff. Didn't take long for the items to arrive. The place isn't that big so it does get busy.

We ordered via third party app because the preparation of the poke sounded intriguing and different. The food came in cute packaging. When we opened the containers, in my opinion there was too much rice/quinoa to fish portion. I did enjoy the taste of the poke. It had bits of sour notes from the apple dressing, which is different from what you normally order with poke. The avocado balances out the sourness. And the poke surprisingly pairs well with quinoa. The pork buns were really delicious! It has that umami taste you look for when eating pork. The meat was very tender - easy to bite and chew. The bun was nice and soft - had good texture. And the onions that came on it was good. You don't get that oniony, bitter taste that lingers in your mouth. Overall, I enjoyed the food. Poke was good but idk if I'd order it again because the rice-fish portions are off. But I definitely need to try the ramen cos I know that's what they're known for.

Every dish we've tried has been full of flavor and genuinely worth ordering. Surprisingly, compared to other Thai spots, it's usually not overly packed and honestly I'm almost scared to say that because I don't want it to change. The service has always been great, the food comes out quickly, and the portions/prices feel reasonable. So far, our favorites have been the pad see ew, tom yum soup (medium spice), egg fried rice, fried calamari and the beef BBQ which was so good we immediately ordered a second plate. The mango sticky rice is also really good, but the portion is on the smaller side, so we ended up getting two orders since one plate is hard to share with more than 2-3 people. Parking has been easy for us so far since there's both a parking lot and nearby street parking. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants that's officially in our regular rotation.

The restaurant itself is nice and clean, including the restrooms, which I always appreciate. The staff was very customer service oriented and did a great job making suggestions and giving tips about the menu and spice levels, which was super helpful. I started with the Money Bags, which are basically fried dumplings. Mine were a little overcooked, almost close to burnt. They still had decent flavor, but I'd personally rate them about a 2.9 out of 5. I also had the green papaya salad with mild spice, and the spice level was perfect, especially for people who are sensitive to heat. I usually stick around medium spice at Thai restaurants, but even the mild here still gives you a nice kick. For my drink, I got the Thai tea, which came topped with a Thai tea popsicle that slowly melted into the drink. Such a cute touch, creative, and tasty. For my entrée, I had the basil garlic sauce with sliced steak and a side of rice, which I really enjoyed. For dessert, we shared the mango sticky rice. It was good, but I do feel like it was a little overpriced for the portion size. Maybe part of that is because of the specialty rice they use that has the purple hue. I know a few places in Long Beach where you can get more for the same price. That said, the presentation was really cute with the flower garnish and everything looked beautiful. The atmosphere was nice. It has an open kitchen concept, so you can actually see the cooking happening, which adds to the experience. Seating is somewhat limited and the tables are fairly close together in certain sections, especially where the divider walls are, so you can definitely hear nearby conversations depending on where you sit. Great food, clean restaurant, and strong customer service. I'd definitely come back. Flavor Profile (for reference): Umami-forward (savory, salty depth) Acidic or bright (tangy + sour) Pungent and intense (spicy and bitter notes) Drink Preference (for reference): Bitter-forward cocktails Balanced acidity Light sweetness only, not overly sugary
