Thai District is excellent. The restaurant is decorated quite well. You feel the vibes of Thailand for sure. The service was incredible - Timely, thorough, and friendly. The food was fresh, flavorful, and served in good portions - Phenomenal. I have spent time in Thailand. I have had very good Thai food over the years and from across the globe. I can say that Thai District has some of the very best Thai food that I have enjoyed, hands down. Add their place to your list of must tries! You won't regret it.
By far one of the best thai places I have had in long beach. if you're looking for a good thai place with authentic and good quality food with an amazing ambiance this is the right place! I have to say the soft shell crab curry was one of the best Thai dishes i have tried and i am still craving it after trying it here. The thai tea float is also a must have! Amazing service and if you're unsure what to get they will help you decide. Cant wait to be back!
The inside of this restaurant is cool with good, dark vibes. Service was super attentive and friendly. The food I got was good but nothing crazily flavorful. The drunken noodle needed more basil and more salt. The cucumber salad was solid, but again nothing too impressive. It's a solid Thai place near a bunch of hotels, so it's a good option if you're stuck in the area.
A lovely spot to enjoy thai cuisine. Friendly staff with attentive service. I highly recommend the golden bag, which is crab stuffed cream cheese in wonton. They made sure the crab was the star instead of the cream cheese Their green curry was well balanced with the coconut milk, with eggplant and bamboo, enhancing the texture. I had chicken as the protein, which was a good amount. My coworker annihilated the Kao Soi, so that means you gotta try!
FOOD - glass noodle salad is perfect if you're looking to squeeze in vegetables without just the greens - golden bags/crab rangoons were perfectly crispy and soft/flavorfuk filling DRINKS - thai tea tastes authentic and is refreshing - lychee white sangria has a perfect balance of sweetness as the fruit doesn't overpower the drink - matai is perfect for a hot day and is one of the most popular drinks SERVICE - didn't get names but our server whom is a lady went above and beyond as i came in the last hour on a tuesday night - a young boy/teenager was insisting on taking plates/cups away when there were food/drinks left over... this threw me off BEWARE OF PARKING - located in downtown long beach so prepare time to find parking
Love love love this spot!!! The sautéed dishes are amazing! I love the crispy pork belly with peanuts and spinach-it's so unique and delicious!!!y office is nearby and we order takeout often and I opted for the pork belly and shrimp pad Thai with a side of their mouthwatering peanut sauce. We order the golden bags, and crispy spring rolls and both were sooo good!!! Perfect order every time with no mistakes or issues. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful! Street metered parking with a patio and two floors for seating. Service is phenomenal and the food is consistently a 10/10. You must go if you love Thai food!

If you're going for the vibe and excellent service, Thai District is a very cute spot. However, the food itself was a bit of a letdown. The flavors are very mild and it feels heavily catered to a more Western palate. None of the dishes packed that authentic, bold punch, and the heat level was definitely not true Thai spicy. It's a nice restaurant overall, but if you want authentic Thai food, you should probably look elsewhere.
i have been here too many times to count and i only get 1 thing: gaeng hung lay. it's savory, hearty, and full of spice. i love the thick pieces of meat, garlic, ginger slices, and peanuts for that extra crunch. it comes with purple rice! the servers are very sweet and helpful with the menu. i love the wood carved door decor and the lanterns everywhere. can't wait to come back and order my favorite dish ever.

It's the perfect dinner restaurant for a cozy, yet upscale date night. It's dim lighting, comfortable seating, and great service. We started off with the wings as our appetizers and Thai teas as our drinks!! The wings were crispy and flavorful. I loveeee wings so I was really happy that they were so good. The Thai tea was really good as well, it wasn't super sweet which I was a big fan of. The presentation was also done so nicely. We ordered the yellow curry and drunken noodles and both items did not disappoint. Something about yellow curry is truly just so comforting to me, and the noodles were melt in your mouth delicious. Btw, the yellow curry doesn't come with rice so you'll have to order it separately (which is what we did). All in all, I cannot wait to come back here.. this place is so delicious and truly hit all of the rankings for me in each category.
Coconut soup is delicious with medium spice and soft tofu. Had you ew ice, nice change from pad Thai, balance of noodles greens and seafood. Restaurant was full and busy but did not feel overly crowded. Service was prompt and efficient with water refills and empty plate pickups at regular intervals. Sticky rice was that interesting dessert with a base of rice in a sweet blob, a a scoop of mango sorbet on top, and trimmed with pieces of fresh mango. Quite an eclectic collection that didn't really work for me but I could see why it was popular.

I kind of want to keep it a secret so that it doesn't get super crowded here, but also I want this place to thrive, haha. I've been here a couple times now and ordered new dishes each time - every single one has been a banger! Some of my favorites are the lamb osso bucco, the nan kao tod salad, and the Kai kha noodles. The lava cake dessert was also incredible, and their cocktails are so reasonably priced! I think I ascended during this most recent meal. The vibe is so cozy and the decor is superb. Service was also great! I love this place.

In Long Beach there's my usual that I have to visit and there's loads more that pops up here and there that looked quite interesting. We found this place after driving by loads of time and never been. It's located in downtown next to a bar and a few other restaurants and not far from the waterfront. Everything is walking distance from each other. Friday night which we didn't have a reservation. We walked in which there were a couple of people waiting for a table. The lady behind the counter who was also taking calls informed us that it would be a while for a table as it was full. We were fine waiting but she then mentioned that if we didn't want to wait, they had patio seating available. The front patio didn't look too pleasing for dinner as it's like a bar top literally right out front. Well, she meant a patio that was around the corner of the place. We checked it out which it was across from the bar and off the street. It didn't feel like it was part of the restaurant and just a seating that's part of whatever. We opted out with that option. Another gentleman asked if we put our name down which we didn't as we were never informed. Afterwards, it was maybe a 10 minute wait and a table was available. Honestly we noticed a good amount of open tables when we were escorted upstairs to the dining area. The seating was a little cramped and tables were pretty closed together. One wall of seats were tufted while the opposite side were single chairs with a cushion. Menu wise, all your Thai dishes with some extra added. They're not much noodle soup dishes which I like except for the boat noodles. We started off with a bootle of Malbec which was reasonable price. And the som tom (papaya salad) for a starter. Medium spice levels, it was with salted anchovies. Quite tasty on a bed of spring mix versus a wedge of cabbage like most places. It was quite tasty and enjoyed. Entrees, the chicken panang curry medium spice with steamed rice. That was tasty but portion was very small. And lastly the boat noodles medium spice level as well. I love me some boat noodles but it was a little different from what I've had at loads of other places. The broth wasn't as thick and slightly bland. It was fine but I wanted some of the pickle chili which they only had saracha paste and chili flakes. Also an order of the sticky rice. Out of everything, the papaya salad takes the cake. Panang was decent and flavorful but very small. Boat noodle on the other hand was just ok. Nothing major to rave about. The place was quite nice and very intimate in a sense of being close to each other. They were busy with both the dining downstairs as well as upstairs. It's broken down to three dining area with bottom floor which it also house the kitchen. Then you have the little mezzanine area right off the stairs with a couple of seats and then the main upstairs dining area. There's one restroom upstairs. Service was good. Staffers were friendly. And no pickles chili for a Thai restaurant...lol...

We came to Long Beach for a convention and we were so excited to try all these new restaurants!! I found Thai District onYelp with over 1,000 positive reviews. Plus we love Thai food. And boy were we happy we did. This place fit us in on same day reservation, and were a semi large party of 6. We were escorted upstairs to such a cool table with some soft and fluffy pillows and a huge panoramic window. Waitress was very kind and helpful and was good at her job. Now on to the meal. Truly this was the BEST Thai food we have ever tasted. Every single dish was better than the last one. Every thing was seasoned just right. From the fresh and crisp Spring rolls to the Spicy dumplings, and the our delectable, savory Pad Thai. Our Drunken Noodle dish, we ordered mild in spice level, but was mouth watering and delightful! We mentioned it to our friends, who were also here for the same convention, one couple ordered Door Dash the other 5 tried it and every single one of them were not dissatisfied. They loved their meals and thanked us for introducing them to the best Thai food, so far that we've had personally. Next time we are in Long Beach, we will most definitely come back! read more

This restaurant is a gem in the downtown area of Long Beach. Parking is hard. It took us a while to find metered parking. It's su h a cute and cozy restaurant. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was delicious and their wine selection is great! This is my second time and it never disappoints. read more
This Thai restaurant was very authentically decorated and the food was phenomenal. We were a group of four and ordered lots of dishes. I only personally tried the salmon, shishito peppers, and the crispy tofu, which were all very good. The others in my group loved their food, especially the crab fried rice and the red curry with the crispy pork belly. They loved the crab fried rice so much that they ordered another order! The servers were very attentive and responsive. We will definitely be back here when in Long Beach! read more
TL;DR The best Thai food. I can't go to any other place for Thai food. Sweetest staff, delicious food, and beautiful atmosphere. Food: The food was amazing as always. For an appetizer I got the wings. They were slightly spicy from the Thai chili, and they were crispy on the outside and juicy in the middle. I got the fried rice with chicken. The best fried rice I've had so far. It's not oily but has the toasted flavor from the wok. The vegetables were also fresh. I got the soft shell crab curry again. The crab legs are perfectly crispy and the soft crab meat is delicious dipped in the spiced curry. I got the tom yum soup again. It is the best tom yum soup. It's balanced, but bursting with flavor. Sour and slightly spicy. Service and Ambiance: Everyone is always so nice. Tip was so kind with recommending me dishes and talking with me so genuinely. She told me I should get the roasted duck curry next time I come, and I will definitely come back to try! The ambiance is so calming and natural. Oh how I missed restaurant thai food! Since my bestie and I were in Long Beach for the weekend why not try something different than Orange County food? Love how beautiful this restaurant was and how it definitely showed the culture of Thailand! The food was delicious including the mango sticky rice dessert! Customer service was great and accomodating too! Customers inside this restaurant were friendly as well and it's more of an intimate space. Luckily Thai District was next to Steadfast coffee and this will be our new hangout spot :). Parking was a bit tough and so I recommend parking anywhere that's near the distant to walk! read more
Scrumptious! We absolutely loved our dinner this evening. The appetizers consisted of their version of crab Rangoon. Uniquely delicious. The dumplings were crispy and had this delicious sauce covering them. Devine! We really enjoyed the spring rolls. Fresh and the peanut sauce was delightful. Our entrees consisted of Chicken Pad Thai. It's on the sweeter side but not overtly. The Pineapple Curry Fried rice was sooo good. The highlight of the meal was the cabbage salad and finally the mango sticky rice capped off a fabulous dining experience. Simply put the best meal of the trip. read more
Visited Thai District on a busy Thursday night. We ordered the Thai District pot stickers to start with. Really nice ginger flavor and presented in an elongated dish with a little mixed greens and pretty orchid for decoration. For our main course we ordered red curry with pork which was flavorful and not too spicy per our request. Our noodle dish was the Kai Kua noodles with chicken, similar tasting to our usual pad see eew. First time ordering this type of noodles. We enjoyed them very much. A small side of rice to go with the curry to soak up all the juicy flavors was a nice addition. The service was good for a busy night where all the tables were occupied. The decor is typical of the usual Thai restaurants. Seating down stairs is a little tight. However, when seated so close to the next table you get to view what your neighbors are eating and may opt to change your order. There is also upstairs seating. I have yet to be seated there. Next time I will ask to go upstairs. read more

When: Friday 7:30 Parking: Metered parking is free after 6PM- my party of 5 were all able to park on Elm Street. There were lots of easy diagonal spots you can pull into and only walk one block. Ambience: They really lean into their Thai culture and architecture. Buddha's, lanterns, faux candles, a diffuser, red walls and black accents. It was moody and giving almost dungeon vibes. We were sat upstairs amongst many other tables. It was fairly loud indoors. Service: In one word: awful. We sat down and noticed half our plates did not have forks. We were sat down with menus and had to flag someone down to take our order (the person who sat us was not seen the rest of the night). They asked what we wanted to drink. We were not even given a drink menu so we had no idea! They finally gave us drink menus and then we had to flag someone down AGAIN to put our drink and food order in at once. It's like we weren't assigned a waiter or waitress. They also had a hard time understanding if the organic sake i wanted was served cold. They had to ask another worker and the other worker was also confused. Yikes... What I tasted: organic sake- whole bottle for $16. Equivalent to 2 drinks if you drink it yourself so definitely worth it. Crab fried rice- probably my favorite dish. Seasoned well and flavorful. Garden salad- the salad by itself was SALTY! Who wants salty fresh veggies? Not me. Chicken pad Thai- average. Chicken yellow curry- pretty delicious but nothing that knocks it out of the park. Flourless lava cake- gross. It didn't even taste like chocolate and the ice cream on top was green (I assume it's matcha?) but I didn't know you could get a chocolate lava cake wrong until now. Mango sticky rice- the rice was black. The mango wasn't sweet. The flavors were just all wrong. And I'm a sucker for mango sticky rice... sad. Overall thoughts: I really will never return again. What made things worse is that when I got home my stomach was hurting really bad. I told others that dined with me in the group chat and another persons stomach also hurt. I wish I lived closer to this gem of a restaurant. The decor of this place is really beautiful and the servers were attentive. I got the kabocha curry with pork belly since I don't really see pumpkin as an offering in most places. Fantastic! My friend got the drunken noodles which were tasty as well. The one thing I'd say is I got a medium spicy level (they rate from 1-3) on my already spicy dish and my friend, who can barely tolerate anything above mayo, could eat it. My recommendation would be to kick it up a (big) notch but otherwise super good read more
Lovely Thai Spot with Delicious Food & Friendly Service Came in on a weeknight, menu hits all the right notes with bold, fresh flavors. The upstairs and downstairs seating offer plenty of room; it's spotless and well-maintained. Staff were welcoming and attentive throughout. Heads-up: the restroom is upstairs only, and parking is street-side, but never tough. They're open until 10pm on weekdays and 10:30pm on Fri/Sat great for a relaxed dinner out. Highly recommend! We got the coconut milk mushroom soup with chicken and the chicken soup with boc Choi, then for dessert we got the sticky mango rice and omg it was to die for! Such a hidden gem - at least to me! Although judging by how full it was (we waited about 30 minutes), it's clearly no secret. The restaurant has a moody, colorful vibe that perfectly matches the Thai cuisine and overall theme, and it's located right in a great Long Beach spot. The staff was incredibly friendly from the moment we arrived, from seating us to serving our table. The menu is extensive with so many options that we ended up ordering a variety of dishes just to sample more of it. One of my friends had been here before and highly recommended it. We ordered the Pad See Eew, Pad Thai, Spicy Fried Rice and Crispy Pork Belly. The drinks were excellent and very affordable - we ordered the lychee martinis and lychee sangria, both of which were delicious. read more

The food here is really good. My husband loved the roasted duck curry I ordered and his noodles were also on point. We were a party of four, and we each ordered a dish and shared a mango sticky rice and the portions were more than enough. It seems pretty popular, as people were constantly coming in for take out. We sat downstairs but the upper floor was also nice if you'd like more privacy. No complaints, service was good too, definitely coming back! read more

I had the pad thai and it was alright just a bit plain. My friend had the duck and she said it was a bit tough. We sat outside and they moved two warmers by us because it was cold which was nice. Good service, I'd go back to try the curries. read more

Walking in, its so cute. We were seated right away inside. The servers were attentive and kind. It was clean and peaceful inside while we had our delicious food. The mango sticky rice was really good, had the perfect amount of mango to rice ratio. My friend and I devoured the chicken pad Thai and Thai district dumplings. The dumplings were a little different they had a curry sauce on top that I thoroughly enjoyed. Will definitely be back and with more friends! read more

What a great place a with amazing food! Beautiful ambiance and great service! I had a reservation and we were seated immediately. The staff were very attentive and or able to answer all of our questions. There were a couple of people in our party with food allergies, and they were able to easily accommodate with no problems! Our food came out in a timely fashion and was hot and delicious. I recommend the pad thai, or the crab fried rice. I also really enjoyed their Thai District chicken wings! I'm going to be honest, my favorite part was on the drink menu, it said fresh coconut and they brought me out coconut with a straw on it! This place was awesome! Absolutely loved it. read more

Very nice little Thai restaurant . We got seated quickly and served quickly. My friend got a kind of noodles with tai tea and I got dumplings. It was good , a bit too much sauce on my dumplings in the middle but overall good. Their decor is very nice as well, it's comforting. read more

Yes our menu is 90% gluten free, even the noodles are made with rice flour except for one dish the Kao Soi but you can still substitute for rice noodles if you want to have this dish. Mention to your server gluten free when ordering.

Yes it is made with coconut milk, lime juice, lemongrass, galanga (ginger’s family), lime leaves, fish sauce, mushrooms, you can chose the proteins like chicken, beef, pork, tofu, vegetables etc… topped with cilantro…
Is the chicken organic (free of hormones and free of antibiotics) and not frozen?
Thank you for your question, it is not organic like all Thai restaurants but it is fresh, we only buy black label quality, it never disappoints. Cheers.
Are all of the food cooked in peanut oil?
No peanut oil in our kitchen we only use canola oil which is the healthiest one.

I ordered from Postmates...the address showed 1388 daisy ave...is this the same Thai district?
Yes. We have this commissary kitchen to handle all third party apps ; Postmates, UberEats, Grubhub, doordash and such. Same chefs, same recipes.
What is the difference between Kai Kua and Pad See Ew noodles?
Hi, They both are the same wide flat noodles the Kai Kia has beans sprouts and garlic, the Pad See Eww is stir fried with sweet soy sauce both come with fried egg and both are mild in flavor, I like to say if one is not too familiar with Thai food…
