You're just left guessing while the line crawls. Once you finally peek inside, the reality of the place sets in: tables and bussing stations were littered with dirty dishes and un-cleared trays, making the whole dining room look and feel filthy. It was exactly what we were craving. We got the bachata roll but improvised it a little. It's shrimp tempura, crab, and avocado inside and we got it with salmon and avocado outside! The ambiance gives late night vibes but they have specials throughout the day. My group was large and they accommodated with ease and grace. The food was all great, especially the Chicken Karaage. The lemon adds to the flavor that the sauce gives it. I do wish it came with 2 sauces instead of just 1. The Tornado Potato with Cajun seasoning was a completely different experience, it lacked flavor and tasted overly oily. We needed a fast dinner before an event and saw this place just across the street. Place got a long line pretty quick for the dinner rush; considering there were not enough ramen places around. Place order first with the cashier, one full entree rewards you a Chashu rice bowl which filled us quickly. Also shared a chashu ramen bowl and a Philly roll. Great Customer Service and a Team That Makes Things Right! We had a great experience at Ramen Hub! From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly, polite, and welcoming. Since we weren't sure what to order, they kindly gave us menus and time to look over our options without feeling rushed. Toward the end of our meal, I wanted to take my leftover ramen home, and our waitress helpfully directed me to the self-service area for to-go containers, utensils, and condiments. There was a small misunderstanding when I stepped away to use the restroom and my partner briefly left the table. Our waitress thought we had finished and began clearing our bowls and drinks. I've been coming to this restaurant for 6 years and I've never had such bad customer service experience until today. I decided to dine in and order the Tonkatsu Ramen, which is my go-to and I always eat it with chopsticks. The chopsticks that they have at the table are very poor quality, but I usually don't mind it because the food is pretty good. It usually takes me a few chopsticks to get the right one with no splinters. Even while trying to rub them together. Today, I went through 5+ chopsticks and it felt pointless to keep going through them to find one that was decent. So, I asked for the to-go chopsticks, which are way better. I know this because I have ordered from Ramen Hub dozens of times and I have been given them before several times dining in. However, I was denied them from one of the female employees because she said they were "limited," which I thought was very weird. I asked another employee who was kind enough to go see if he could get us different chopsticks, but the female employee stopped him and told him to tell us no. This is really disappointing as a frequent customer of this place. This experience doesn't make me want to go back - I really have a zero tolerance for rudeness. DELIVERY MISLEADING - Concern Regarding Ramen Delivery Order - Meal Kit Not Disclosed I'm writing regarding a recent delivery order from your Long Beach location. I ordered the Tonkotsu Ramen (Delivery) expecting to receive prepared, ready-to-eat ramen. Instead, the order arrived as a meal kit. The container itself is explicitly labeled "Meal Kit Cooking Instruction" and instructs the customer to boil water, cook the noodles for 1 minute 45 seconds, heat the broth separately, drain and transfer the noodles, and then assemble the ramen. I understand that the individual ingredients had already been prepared, but I still had to cook the noodles, heat the broth, and assemble the dish myself before I could eat it. This is materially different from receiving prepared ramen for delivery. What concerns me most is that I do not recall seeing any disclosure during the ordering process that the "Tonkotsu Ramen (Delivery)" would arrive as a DIY meal kit requiring additional cooking and preparation. The item is presented as ramen under the delivery menu, rather than as a meal kit. The food was below average but i still really enjoyed it for the price. The restaurant has an ordering area then open outdoor with heaters and indoors seating. I only ordered their takoyaki because I wasn't all that hungry but as comedic as it was, they accidentally gave us an extra ramen which I did mention to them, but they said we can just have it so I ended up eating some of it. The ramen wasn't bad but it wasn't hitting for me as well as the broth. Their takoyaki was about $8 for a 5 piece and it also wasn't as good as you'd think.
