Chicken Katsu is the best I've had since moving back from Hawaii! I had my order to go, but if you do dine in atmosphere is nice with friendly service! I've eaten there almost a dozen times. Spicy California roll is good has a kick to it but not a flame thrower. Just right amount to make it. Meal also comes with a cup of Miso soup which is tasty. We were in Long Beach for an appointment, so looked for a sushi place close by. Found Sushi Nara had decent reviews. Easy to find using our car navigation system. My wife and I are on low sodium diets, so this place worked out perfectly. We started by sharing a large bottle of Sapporo which was served with chilled glasses. We each ordered the crab cucumber salad, and we shared a tuna roll, salmon roll and Washington roll. The sushi was very good, not exceptional. I much prefer octopus cucumber salad over the fake crab. Been here a handful of times, we will come here just to get the oh my garlic roll. It's just so good, it melts in your mouth. I love the creaminess, and the garlicky flavor it just goes together so well. Garlic is amazing but who would have thought it'd go so well with sushi! Sushi appearance and flavor was adequate. Men's restroom was gross! Urinal was nonfunctional with a handwritten sign saying do not use. 3 rolls, 1veggie tempora and a cup of green tea came to $71. No pot of green - just a cup with a tea bag. Service was okay. We asked for water and received 2 not 3. The 2nd server was attentive and professional.
