    Loco Moco.
    Jeff Y.

I had walked by the Mustard Seed so many times and decided to finally try it. Found parking in the parking lot, and upon walking in I noticed the beautiful nature/forest decor (fitting since it's a vegan restaurant). The scenes of nature on the TV screens and smooth music playing gave it a very calm vibe. There were also several biblical verses on the walls. Service was friendly and attentive. I ordered the loco moco, which was much wetter than I expected (the gravy was more like a broth). The patty was tasty and I was impressed how they made a vegan sunny side egg runny. The dish itself was tasty but a bit salty; the gravy broth was reminiscent of French onion soup with lots of onion and mushroom flavor. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and wouldn't mind trying more off their menu. I'm not vegan but appreciate tasty vegan and vegetarian restaurants.

Very cute spot with fun nature-themed decor. Every time I visit, the staff is friendly, and a couple of times the owner has come out into the front of house to see how everything is going with guests. The food never disappoints. Quality is very high. It's very expensive to me, $20 for a wrap is definitely above average. But it's in a desirable location and they don't skimp on ingredient quality so I can see what contributes to the higher prices. I do wish they had more dessert options instead of just beignets. Great spot overall.

Brought a friend this time and finally got to try their loco moco! Very clean, casual and relaxing music today. Their menu includes cuisines inspired by Hawaiian, Mexican, and Cajun dishes. We were sat immediately at a table and served ice water along with menus. Friday night is busy for them! Lots of tables filled before and after us! We shared the crunchy tacos, loco moco, and wet burrito. I love me any tacos dorados (fried tacos) and these are always delicious. No salsa needed since it's so well seasoned and balanced. The loco moco was a little bit on the saltier side. In the future I'd prefer the gravy on the side so I can control the saltiness. The protein patty tastes just like a regular burger patty! And the fried "egg" on top was really good too. It even had the runny yolk texture too. My favorite this meal was the wet burrito. The texture of the protein they used was so good. A nice chew and good flavor too. It's already cut in half when they serve it but they still give you a knife in case. Towards the end of our meal, we received complimentary beignets! Four fresh, hot, and served with a sauce. I only had one and my two friends also had one each. My friends enjoyed this spot and commented it's one of their new favorite vegetarian/vegan locations. I'm always happy to share good food with friends and will be back!

This is a Vegan restaurant but you would not believe that it's vegan food. Flavorful and so, so good..... It was so good that I was halfway through it before I remembered to take a photo. Love the atmosphere. It's relaxed, aesthetically pleasing, soothing background music and my server Sheena was wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant for both vegan and meat eaters. You will not be disappointed. The food is fantastic. Did I mention that they serve Beignets? Brought back memories of Cafe' du Monde in New Orleans.

This place is Phenomenal. Excellent food and integrity business. The decor throughout place is lovely. Phillip, the owner followed the call and vision. So glad he did! The wet burrito was amazing and the cheesesteak wrap was delish! Thank you for bringing spectacular vegan food to all to enjoy. Our server Julie was super sweet and helpful. Highly recommended for non vegans to try as the flavors will impress all foodies.

Ambiance, food, service all excellent!! Very cute and well designed, chic restaurant! Our server was extremely sweet and attentive! For a vegan restaurant, both GF items, crunchy tacos and crab cakes had excellent flavor and taste, but the crunchy tacos were a little oily. Tartar sauce and red chili taco sauce were tasty, the green chili sauce was spicy! Our server was extremely kind and gave us 2 pieces of their beignet on the house! Scored!! Such a pleasant, tasty surprise visit to Mustard Seed! We'll definitely be back when we're in town!

Very delicious food! We ordered an abundance of food! Our waitress Julie and the owner/chef Phil are amazing! Fast service and such a serene ambiance. I highly recommend this vegan restaurant. High quality and fresh ingredients. Thank you Mustard Seed for an excellent vegan dinner. We will be back!

My best friend died. I've been crying for two days straight. Thank God. My friend Sandy came to pick me up and take me out to get some food. I'm really grateful she picked something healthy . I love the name the mustard seed ! Biblical... the places so nice. It's decorated very organic. I didn't realize how hungry I was until I started eating. The service was amazing. She was so sweet. I needed healthy food to sooth my soul. . Thank you to the Mustardseed for helping me feel some kind of better five stars

The Mustard Seed in Cerritos is such a vibe! From the second we walked in, the team was super friendly and made us feel right at home. The space has a modern, minimalist look that's clean and cozy, perfect for kicking back and enjoying great food. We ordered a little bit of everything and it did not disappoint: Nachos - Fully loaded with all the good stuff. Saucy, cheesy, fresh pico, and perfectly seasoned beef. Cheeseburger & Fries - Juicy burger with melty cheese and crispy seasoned fries. Classic and done right. Happy Hawaiian - Bright and fresh with pineapple, avocado, grilled veggies, edamame, and a delicious sauce. Loved that they offer vegan-friendly options! Beignets - Served at the end of our meal and honestly the perfect finishing touch. Soft, fluffy, and covered in powdered sugar. Sweet, simple, and so good. The service was warm and genuine, and everything felt super laid-back in the best way. If you're looking for a chill spot with delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere, this is it. I'll definitely be back.

My first time trying vegan Hawaiian and Cajun style food!! It was incredibly delicious, everything we tried. We started off with the crab cakes which were perfectly fried. The texture was from the hearts of palm and paired with the lemon aioli, it was a great blend of salty and sour and crunchy. For entree, we got the fettuccini Alfredo with Cajun chicken and the loco moco. It was my first time trying both dishes and I have no complaints. Also, it was super cool seeing a vegan egg yolk that burst like a regular egg - very innovative. The service was also 10/10. Our server (I think Julie) saw it was our anniversary and brought out complimentary beignets for us! Overall we had a blast and will come again soon.

Revisited The Mustard seed for a lunch with some friends and once again the food did not disappoint. I ordered my usual Hawaiian bowl and it was delicious just like how I remembered it to be the first time around. Great flavors, fresh, hearty, and healthy. The bowl definitely satisfy your hungry and fills you up nicely. Service is always great, friendly and efficient staff members. The restaurant was a bit smokey this day, not sure if they burnt something but there wasn't much ventilation and the smoke just sat in the sitting area. And it was pretty warm in the restaurant this day. If you haven't given vegan food a try, you're missing out.

Amazing food, atmosphere, and customer service! As a Christian, I especially appreciated that our server was wearing a T-shirt with scripture--it made the experience feel even more welcoming. On her recommendation, I ordered the wet burrito, and it was absolutely delicious+pretty!. You honestly can't even tell it's vegan! We were also treated to complimentary beignets at the end, which were perfectly prepared--the temperature, texture, and sweetness were just right.

Vegan restaurants are hard to find and surprisingly we have one in Cerritos. It was our first time, on a Sunday evening with a party of four. Overall I would give them a 4 star rating because it appears they need more help for a more efficient service, but the food was really good. The restaurant is a cute small and maybe a family owned business which I like. Most of the wait time was getting our food. The waitress was very pleasant. We got different dishes and tried crab cakes hem all. As an appetizer we order Cajun Crab Cakes which were excellent!!! I ordered the Loco Moco as the vegan egg caught my attention, but it was too salty for my taste buds. If they reduce it by two levels it probably be best. My husband had the wet burrito and it was delicious if you can handle spices. Our friends order a Hawaiian dish with a mix of greens and a Peanut Tofu Satay dish with a mix of green, both were delicious. Next time I go, I'll order those dishes. As first time guests the chef made beignet which was a nice surprise. The chef does an excellent job with flavors and presentation. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Some of us had been to different Eureka! locations in Northern California and suggested to check this one, which was just across the parking lot from BJ's, out. I was glad we did. Not only was there no wait, they had a very chill covered outdoor patio as well. Their indoor area had more of a sports bar feel, which was cool, too. Staff were super friendly; our server told us about their loyalty program, and gave us some great recommendations on food and drinks. We're early enough to order quite a few things off the "Hoppy Hour" menu. I had the Wild Child cocktail, which had a pretty color, and was quite yummy. We shared 3 appetizers: Truffle Cheese Fries, Crispy Glazed Brussel Sprouts, Korean Beef Frachos. All 3 were delicious, and our favorite was the beef frachos, which was like an upgraded nachos, with very flavorful/tender ribeye steak pieces and mildly spicy seasonings with cheese over crispy potato wedges. It's truly a bomb! For my entree, I had the Al Pastor Fish Taco and the Blackened Shrimp Taco. Both were scrumptious, especially the shrimp one. My husband gave me some of his Caesar Salad, which was fresh and quite good. My sister-in-law shared some of her Napa Chicken Sandwich with me; it was delightful. Our daughter had the Goat Cheese Citrus Salad with added chicken and no pecans. She enjoyed it but said the amount of chicken she got wasn't worth the additional charge. Overall, we all enjoyed our food and had a great time. With the happy hour deals, I thought their prices were very reasonable. Would definitely consider coming here again for our next gathering.

The food was much better too, especially the fries! Y'all know they were trash in my first review. This time they were hot and crispy. I ordered the Fresno Fig Burger with fig marmalade, goat cheese, bacon, tomato, red onion, arugula, and spicy porter mustard. Whew... that burger was good! The combination of sweet and savory flavors just worked. My husband and I ended the meal by sharing the Bourbon Barrel Cake with candied pecans, bourbon caramel, and vanilla bean ice cream. Listen, don't leave without ordering it. It was absolutely delicious.

Order my baby grilled change chicken bowl. Portion was waaay too big for her so we put half aside to take home . The other half she devoured all the chicken and left the veggies and rice lol For my fiancé we ordered: buffalo chicken nuggets. We loved this! Nuggets were crispy and came out piping hot. Chicken shawarma salad, this was ok . I was expecting this check to have a different flavor. For me, the taste of the flavor on the chicken didn't really compliment the salad, and the dressing very well. It wasn't bad it just was not to my liking and probably would not order this salad again :/ Fiancé ordered the bbq bacon ranch bacon burger. He ordered the pattie medium and came out perfectly cooked. Service was great, our server was super friendly and attentive. I forgot that one of the reasons we don't frequent here is because of the strict rules for dogs on the patio. No dogs on your lap, which my dog was not having. She always sits on our lap at every restaurant we go to with the patio. So I ended up having to put her in my purse, and the purse was on my lap. Aside from this our visit was lovely otherwise.

I'm here for the deal. That being said, quality control is definitely on a lunch break sometimes. The silverware is a gamble. Will it be clean? Will there be dried food chunks? It's like a tiny surprise every visit. I've also had shots with mystery floaties, sometimes what looks like pepper, sometimes Tajín hanging out somewhere on the glass or floating in the drink. Do I still drink it..? unfortunately, yes. Should I have to? Probably not. I'd at least like the illusion that everything got a thorough wash before making its way to my table. My biggest pet peeve, though, is the little tubs the hummus comes in. They're almost always chipped, and underneath the white coating it looks... rusty? I don't know if it actually is, but it definitely doesn't inspire confidence. At some point those should probably retire with dignity instead of continuing to serve hummus. The last few times I've sat in the bar seating area, there have also been bar gnats flying around. They're basically unpaid restaurant employees at this point, but I'd rather not spend my meal swatting them away. The food itself is... fine. The chicken bites are inconsistent. Sometimes they're huge pieces, sometimes they're tiny little nuggets, but somehow it all evens out. One visit, our bread came out looking like it had lost a fight with a volcano. I asked about it, and they said that's how it's made. Thankfully, our server offered to bring out another order of bread, and the replacement was much better actually charred instead of cremated (see the picture). Huge credit to the server for handling it well and trying to make things right. If the first batch was actually considered acceptable, though... Idk about all of that. Overall: Food: 3.5/5 Ambiance: 3.5/5 Happy hour pricing: 4.5/5 (the real MVP) Service: Usually really good. I've only had one server who dropped the ball, but it wasn't enough for me to care. At the end of the day, I'm not coming here expecting a five star dining experience. I'm coming because my wallet and Lazy Dog happy hour are in a committed relationship. As long as the prices stay where they are, you'll probably keep seeing me here.

We checked in at 6:45pm on a Thursday and was told by the hostess that we'd get a message once our table was ready. 30 minutes passed and I still hadn't yet received a text - I even checked my reservation details to make sure my phone number was correct. I thought things were backed up because of the half-off deal crowd but when I checked in for an update, the hostess seemed confused. They quickly had us sat down in the outside patio area, and a table where the sun was directly shining into my face... We asked to speak to a manager and AJ, the host manager came by to help us figure out what had went wrong with our reservation and to seat us at a more comfortable table. I want to thank him again for his assistance and appreciate all he did for us. For our appetizers, we ordered the crab and artichoke dip, and crispy brussels sprouts. Instead of the crab dip, we received the spinach and artichoke dip (sigh). When we spoke to our server, they mentioned that the only dip with artichoke was the spinach one until I showed them the description for the crab dip on the menu. An honest mistake to make with how large the menu is and how often things are changed. In the end, our favorite food of the meal ended up being the appetizers. Both the brussels sprouts and crab dip were 10/10. The cheesecake was delicious as always. We ended up leaving the restaurant at 8:45pm, so two hours was spent due to all the delays and issues.
