9.25 for these fries
Lala K.

I came here expecting a good happy hour deal, but left totally frustrated. First off, calling their food specials a "Happy Hour" is wildly misleading--the fries actually cost more than their standard menu items, and you end up paying nearly $10 for a tiny, small bag. To make matters worse, the service was a mess. The place was practically empty with only one other table, yet it took 15 minutes to get our food. The empanadas were already premade and sitting in the display, so there was no reason for the delay. Also, there seem to be more staffs than there are customers. When our food was finally handed to us, one of the employee asked if we got our empanadas while we were visibly standing there waiting for our food. She then proceeded to stack the empanadas right on top of the fries, squishing them. Bad pricing, slow service for premade food, and sloppy packaging. Staff needs serious retraining.

How the chimichurri steak plate is advertised versus

TLDR; Had high hopes for this place but left disappointed. I was really hoping the food would be like a Mendocino or Urban Plates but most of the items were lackluster. Ordered: - Empanada Trio which came w/ chicken, beef and veggie with a side of chimichurri sauce. I enjoyed the veggie and chicken, those had good flavors. The beef didn't have much flavor. - White wine sangria. Very sweet, would skip if you're not able to handle sugary drinks. - Tri tip chimichurri plate. Not sure if it was a one off on the cook of our Tri tip but it was very very dry, chewy and bland. Look at the photo they advertised versus what came out. - Tuscan chicken sandwich which was probably the best item we tried. No complaints! I understand the concept but it fell flat for me. Overall, if you're looking for something clean and light then def give this place a go.

New spot here in cypress..... I wasn't aware until instagram. Thank goodness lol..... we really wanted to try.... Unfortunately it was not good. I ordered 2 empanadas (beef) they were luke warm very bland, thank goodness for the chimichurri that was flavorful. But then I couldn't taste empanada. My husband ordered the a fish plate with a side of veggies same thing very bland. The veggies were good. Service was also good. The ambience was great very clean. For dessert we had a strawberries and cream empanada now that was warm but it didn't even taste like dessert. I also had a double chocolate cookie ummm terrible......Maybe I just didn't order the right thing. No idea but unfortunately it was just a one time visit for us. Ok byeee

Hello Fellow Yelpers This restaurant just opened up and thought we give it a try. Well my burger came out luke warm, very greasy and had a piece of paper in it. I just returned it for a refund. Sweet potato fries were okay. Tri-tip BBQ sandwich was a bit dry, not enough sauce Pomegranate lemonade is tart. But some people like that. The manager was great and gave me a cookie to make up for the burger issue. Remember to do random acts of kindness as it will make everyone feel wonderful Follow me for more awesome reviews.

A fun new place to try! When I reached the front of the line I was greeted and given a few recommendations. I ordered the gaucho steak sandwich with some fries. I also added a peaches and cream empanada as a treat. The fries were really good. Totally recommend. The sandwich was good but I'd try and sub a few things next time for my preference. I felt like the bread was too thick for the toppings. I took off half the ciabatta and it was better. The steak was great! I also enjoyed the empanada. I'd go back and try a few more things.

Maybe this place is still working out the kinks. The dinner took 30 minutes for our order to come out. Not anyone's fault perhaps but it is slow for a quick type of meal. Ordered a blt and the chicken sandwich. It was just ok. A little disappointed in the way it's ran. Giving it a little grace since it's new but I'm not sure I'd come back.

We stopped this new location for dinner. We ordered the salmon bowl and a steak bowl. Both were served with fresh delicious ingredients. Service was friendly and helpful. Definitely will be back to try their menu items. Plenty of parking.

California burger and steak sandwich. We cut them in half

There is a new corner spot on the Boardwalk in Cypress. Plenty of indoor and outdoor tables. Bushfire offers a variety of fresh salads, bowls, plates and sandwiches. Everything is locally sourced. Prices are reasonable from $13.00- $20.00 for most things. The real winner was the chicken empanada with house made chimichurri sauce. At $4.95 a pop they are well worth it. Order everything at the counter and take your number to the table and staff will deliver to you. We ordered the California Burger with Grandmas Mac and cheese. As well as the steak sandwich with roasted Brussells. Everything was very good. The mac and cheese was very cheesy and topped with bread crumbs. The brussels were just okay. They were baked/roasted and I wish they were roasted a little longer. They have self serve Bushfire soda and housemade lemonade. The lemonade is very sweet. Staff is very friendly and are being trained well. They kept on checking on everyone and refilling drinks. I hope they make it here in Cypress.

This new location is at the Boardwalk plaza in Cypress. I was able to attend the Bushfire pre-tasting event prior to their grand opening. They provided a choice of complimentary bowls, sandwiches, burger, and salad. They also gave a free side ad well. Their other menus on the menu was for purchase. I tried their Thai curry bowl with jasmine rice and veggies. The bowl was very flavorful. Once it was mixed, the rice portion was a bit overpowering and I had to dig for the chicken and veggies. The California burger was delicious. I really enjoyed their garlic aioli. The default is meat cooked medium but you can ask for it to be more cooked. The brussel sprout side was good, but I was expecting it to be crispy. Their raspberry lychee lemonade was a punch of flavor and refreshing. They have a lot of their menu as well as sweet treats. They have daily happy hour from 2-5pm. There are plenty of tables indoors and outdoors. There's a restroom in the back. I didn't see a single trash can inside the restaurant though. The service for the pre-grand opening tasting was great and everyone was attentive and check in on how the food is. This spot is close to my work and so I'll definitely be coming here with my coworkers.

Bushfire Kitchen is my long-time favorite for hearty comfort food that leaves me feeling good after, and I'm so happy they opened their newest location in Cypress! I love that they focus on using clean ingredients with integrity, and there's literally something for everyone here, including gluten-free and plant-based options and packed with protein. They also do limited-time seasonal items that incorporate international flavors, like the Thai chicken curry bowl which is my go-to as a post-workout meal. And you gotta try the Korean cauliflower with the spicy addicting sauce! Thanks for reading! ^-^

I had a lovely experience at this location! Came in for dinner while in the area and the staff was very friendly. It was a bit busy when we came but food came out in a timely manner. Everything was delicious, however the curry was my favorite! It had a great flavor and heat level to it that I would come back for. I also enjoyed how clean the inside was.

Food: Honestly it's pretty good! My son likes his brisket sandwich, my daughter liked her chicken pesto sandwich, and my chimi-churi steak was done proper and seasoned decently. Is it home cooked meal level of spice and flavor? No, but they're trying to cater to everyone, and they're doing a decent job. :) Service: On point, they checked up on us often and even offered to fill up our drinks, we declined as the drink machine was right by us, but it does speak to the vibe. :) Ambiance: Clean and welcoming, the place is well lit and decorated as one would expect. The price is a bit more than your average lunch, but they are trying to deliver more than your average lunch so I'll give them that. ;)

Food was good and fresh. The service was excellent. Parking was plentiful and was among a strip of other places to eat. I will definitely be back and try their other dishes.

I really appreciated the fries actually not tasting soggy despite the seasoning on top. The chicken bowl with eggs were delicious too. I liked the coleslaw they included as well. It had a nice black pepper flavor to it that made everything taste a bit more brightened. I wish it gave me a no rice / all slaw option. I also liked the lack of sour / mayo laden nature of typical coleslaw. This, I wouldn't mind eating all the time. I usually otherwise can't stand coleslaws. The service was friendly and efficient. TOGO'S recently revamped their rewards program so that whenever you accumulate 50 points, you earn…read morea $5 off reward. Points round up if the subtotal ends in a half dollar or more. As part of this revamping process, TOGO'S migrated their rewards system to a different platform, and if you successfully migrated your account over, you get a $2 off reward that is valid for 2 weeks. My $2 off reward was going to expire in 2 days, and I was planning a quick trip to the area to visit a couple other businesses in the same intersection, both of which had offers that were going to expire the same day or the following day as well. I normally wouldn't go this far for a TOGO, but was definitely willing to make an exception this time around. This TOGO'S in Cypress is located on the southwest corner of Katella and Knott. The dining space inside is quite ample, much larger than the Long Beach location I must say! There was a large family sitting in the far corner on the left hand side, but towards the right, there was an employee, Logan, who was ready to assist me. As I was looking at the menu, I didn't like how the menu was kind of scrambled around. What do I mean by this? So I was intending to get a mini 3" sandwich to redeem my $2 off since percentage wise, that'd be really good savings there. The right side of the menu specifies the sandwiches that can be made miniature, but the sandwiches are denoted by their assigned numbers. The numbered sandwiches aren't in any particular order, so without Logan's help, I would have had to bounce back and forth between different sides of the menu to understand which sandwiches come in a 3" size, and for how much? Such a cumbersome way to present that part of the menu that I really wish TOGO'S would consider reformatting the menu for ease of readability. But I'm starting to digress. Logan did help me out by specifying the four mini sandwiches that I was initially looking at. I thought about the #3 Turkey and Cheddar, but once he told me the #20 was Albacore Tuna, I decided to go with that. Tuna sandwich for less than $4? Count me in! Logan asked me a couple questions: What type of bread, and would I like all the produce? Since I'm trying to get more whole grains and vegetables in my diet, I said whole wheat and yes, respectively, to his questions. However, Logan was trying pretty hard to sell me on a kids meal, which also comes with chips and a bottled water, despite me not being a kid, except maybe at heart lol. I did ask him how much a Kids Meal was, and he had to go to the register to look it up. It was a couple dollars more than a mini Albacore Tuna sandwich, but since I was planning to get food at a neighboring eatery, I passed on the kids meal and settled for the mini sandwich. While Logan was crafting my sandwich, he asked his co-worker, or maybe supervisor, Brian, to ring me up. After scanning my QR code for the migration offer, the $2 came off, no problem, and I paid. Shortly after I paid, Logan had my sandwich ready in a takeout bag. I asked for a water cup, and he gave me one, no problem as well. I took the sandwich and water cup to a table by the window to enjoy, but the first thing I noticed was a small piece of bread stuck to the outside of the wrapper?! Well, not so great presentation up front, but after unwrapping the sandwich, I found the #20 Albacore Tuna to be quite good! Unfortunately, it seemed Logan missed a few of the vegetables like the olives, jalapenos, and the cucumbers, which you can request in the TOGO'S app. Kind of disappointing, especially since he asked if I'd like all the vegetables before crafting my sandwich, but I suppose for those three in particular, you have to proactively ask? Nevertheless, I enjoyed the tuna in this sandwich, and there was still a good helping of vegetables in the sandwich otherwise. However, $5.75 for a mini is still kind of steep for such a small, but mighty, sandwich. Like I said earlier in the review, there are plenty of tables for customers to sit at, so unless an entire baseball team and their parents are there to celebrate a big W on the field, I doubt you'd see a full house in this TOGO'S. Overall, TOGO'S is still a good solid spot for sandwiches even if they're a little pricier than Jersey Mike's or Subway, but they do stuff the sandos with good quality ingredients! Also, despite the hard, but rather unsuccessful selling job, Logan was still a pretty cool employee to do business with.
