Chicken fried steak eggs and home fries
    Kristen A.

Food is good Staff is friendly, We got the chicken fried steak & eggs & Eggs Benedict with Canadian bacon. Both served with home fries. Food came out quick and had great flavor. We haven't tried the pancakes yet but they look delicious & huge! Small divey breakfast spot good for a quick breakfast, many options.

First time here. Ordered the chicken and waffles, which was very good. Good service, good atmosphere. However, they gave me dirty water. Didn't realize until after I'd taken a few sips there was scum floating around in it. Don't think I'll be coming back.

Great bang for the buck. Generous portions. The fluffy biscuit and gravy is a must, you can taste the homemade. All the food items were served hot and crispy. The crapes were excellent, a must try on the special list. Will come back if in the area.

3.5 Stars Small little family diner. Very busy on a Saturday morning but fast service. Seems very popular. Plenty of parking as it's in a shopping center with lots of other businesess Food: Chilaquiles with pulled pork were very tangy. The chips themselves were perfectly crispy. Although they say not spicy, they are actually a bit spicier than that. Chocolate Chip Banana Pancakes were really yummy. They slice bananas and place them into the batter so they're fully whole throughout the pancakes. Perfect balance of the sweetness of bananas to the chocolate chips. Bacon was kinda tough and the sausage was okay. The Home fries had good flavor. No hash browns sold here but home fries are similar in texture

Been to this spot several times, and I always have a good experience when I'm there. There is typically some wait time to get seated, but there's a booth available to wait at. The service is good, the wait staff are polite and seem like they're always on the move. There are booths and smaller tables inside, and a handful of outdoor seating options that are covered with parasols. Out of all the times I've been here, I've never had an issue with the food. I mainly get the breakfast options like the eggs Benedict, pancakes, waffle combo, crepes, and best of all the sirloin. Everything is cooked to perfection, nothing is under or over, and it's the right level of crisp. The home fries/hashbrowns are soooo good. The idyllic potato side for breakfast. My latest choice was the sirloin steak and I can definitely attest to it - juicy, a nice medium rare with a bit of fat to add flavor. Only gripe was that the side of A1 sauce they gave me wasn't enough, and it wasn't ideal calling them over for more. Prices are fine, not too crazy. I think for 3 people with drinks, it was around $60 after tip and tax. Good for a brunch spot - they do close a bit earlier so it's smart to check the times. Overall a great spot! Definitely my go to when I want a nice cozy brunch restaurant.

Wanted to try a local small business. Quite a few patrons were inside for a rainy, Thursday morning. Cute ambiance inside and out. Service was fast. We sat in the middle so we couldn't see the "specials" that were posted in the booths, nor were they told to us. Food was average. Pricey for what we ordered but what place isn't when eating out? I did return my turkey link sausages. They looked and tasted like processed who knows what. (Forgot to take a picture). Nice but I don't see returning in the future.

When my mother-in-law comes down from LA to have breakfast/brunch with us, this is the ONLY spot that she wants to go to. Our visits are usually mid-morning so that most of my house can sleep in a little bit on the weekend. Our last visit here was Saturday morning (11/8) around 10:30am. There were about 4 parties ahead of us but our wait time was about 10-15 minutes. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. We opted for indoor. They sat our party of five at a booth in the back of the restaurant. They offered us an additional chair but we made it work comfortably in the booth. The only issue was after we had all ordered, we were playing Tetris to get our plates and cups to fit...which is definitely a good problem to have. I decided to give the vanilla chai a try this time around instead of my usual coffee. I was NOT disappointed with this decision. It was so delicious. Everyone's food came out piping hot and didn't seem like any of the plates had been sitting there for a while waiting for the others to be finished. I will ALWAYS recommend that upgrade to spuds with your breakfast and their jam is made in-house so I'm pretty sure the special ingredient is love. We were jamming to some island jams while enjoying some great customer service and delicious food. We always enjoy stopping into Country Cafe for a great breakfast and usually enough leftovers for a 2nd breakfast.

I mean just look at the picture.... Country Cafe knows how to do breakfast, specifically, pancakes. I hate when restaurants add the fruits on top; I want them cooked into the pancake! As for the service, the staff is so nice! The servers are attentive and friendly, and I could hear the back of house who seemed like they were having fun playing music, which I like to hear. Lastly, the ambiance. It's cute and clean, there's both indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely returning for more :)

This is my first time here and it is fantastic. Wonderful country music playing, food is great, servers keep the coffee coming and the place is clean and cozy.

Puddle of oil on my plate under my burrito. I tried to catch it but because of the lighting, you can only tell a little.

So disappointed. First and last time at Country Cafe. Our server seemed rushed every time she came to our table, would just drop the item (not even fully stopped at our table, more like a drive by) and walk away. It was not that busy. There were plenty of open tables so her rush didn't seem justified to me. Then I ordered the breakfast burrito. As soon as I picked it up, a literal PUDDLE of oil, grease, whatever it was, was under my burrito. My hands were covered in oil or grease. It was just an egg, cheese and sausage burrito, why so much oil on my plate??? I moved on to the pancakes my husband was going to share with me and I noticed there was a hair in the pancake. But not even human hair, it looked like a cat or dog because it was short and two toned. Overall, besides those issues, the entirety of the food was below mid. Food isn't anything like "OMG let's come again" type. Regardless I paid for my food, didn't complain or address the issues but never again.

I passed this place so many times and thought I'd finally stop and give this it a try. First this place is super cute from the wallpaper to the nostalgic items used to decorate the green walls, it really does look like a cute country kitchen. There are a few tables outside The servers, while not overly friendly, were nice enough. I was not very hungry, so I just ordered coffee, one scrambled egg, and white toast. The food came out fast, so I couldn't figure out how my egg was cold--perhaps it sat waiting for the toast to be done? It had a weird taste and I wasn't a fan. This place was full, with every table taken and one party waiting for a table when I was leaving, so I'm thinking my experience is not the norm. Clearly people like this place. Will I be back? It's not likely, but they seem to have lots of fans, so that's okay!

My friend and I needed to find a good breakfast spot within a limited amount of time and we managed to find Country Cafe! We were early birds and made it there by 9am and were seated within 5 minutes! Service was excellent! We ordered an omelet, an order of French toast and some biscuit and gravy. While we sat outside, they also have inside seating with tables and booths as well. In case you are around this area, I totally recommend you come try this breakfast place!

We really enjoy Country Cafe. Food is solid and service is always great - srsly, the staff HUSTLES. Our fam usually orders an egg and bacon combo with home fries and toast. Portions are generous and we sometimes ask for half bacon and half sausage since you get 4 pieces. Hubby enjoys the banana pancakes. The pancakes are ginormous - pretty much the diameter of the plate. I don't know why but the wheat toast here is amazeballs. I like toast in general, but it is so good here. Freshly made, perfectly toasty served with whipped butter and house-made strawberry jam. I'm pretty sure that this resto is one of a handful that are open and started by the same man. He then either has family run the resto once it's established or sells it to open a new place. He def has the formula for success. The menus at each location are identical. We've been to the Long Beach and Buena Park locations. Great place for a freshly made, hearty breakfast!

I sat at the one available table and savored both items. The Biscoff latte was iced, with just enough ice to make it cold. I appreciate that they didn't overdo the ice like most coffee places. The flavor of cookie butter was vivid, sweet, and delicious. The cream top and crumbles of Biscoff added to the visual appeal. The lemon bar was slightly sweet and citrusy, with a tasty thin outer crust, the top of which was sprinkled with powdered sugar. For me, this was a perfect lemon bar in every way. I came on a Thursday around 4 PM and there were a few people doing work at the tables. The service was super quick and I saw why once I ordered. They don't had whisk their matcha but rather just squeeze the matcha out of a bottle. Lowk scared me but I was still willing to give it a try! I ordered a matcha latte and my friend got an einspanner which both looked promising. The matcha is very grassy and leaves my mouth super dry. The flavor is there and it's not super sweet which I like but it also has a weird salty undertone that I'm not used to in a matcha latte. I think I need to try a matcha einspanner since their foams seem to be what makes the drinks good but I otherwise wouldn't get this matcha again. My friend's einspanner was okay. She mainly liked the cream foam but otherwise it wasn't anything special. The coffee is just straight black so it's not sweet at all until you mix the foam in. This Review has been WAY TOO OVERDUE…read more I've been coming to this place for a few months, it's my go to if I'm going to finish up work or just not think of anything and enjoy the coffee they have which I must say is REALLY REALLY GOOD, I've had like 70% of their menu and each drink just hits the spot better than the other, Americano? Hits, lattes? HITS HARDER, new drinks like their walnut latte? Oh you bet it's fire. Their VTM coffee tastes very very authentic as well and I'm very obsessed with this place. When you enter and specially in the morning they're usually busy so you do have to stand in the line to order or go straight and pick up the order online if you've made one online. They're very very fast and efficient! Every single time I go Alex always takes good care of me, we're pretty much best friends at this point! On top of that, Kevin and Barbra are also extremely friendly and I really love their attitude in the past few months that I've been going to this place I HAVE NEVER had a bad experience with any of the employees quite the opposite, they actually make the start to my day 10x better! Now the place it self is extremely aesthetic, quite, warm and automatically puts you in the mood for productivity with a peace of mind because of all of the colors around (black, white and grey) I should've left this review a while ago but hey better late than never! Thank you blk dot for these amazing employees and coffee!

Alas, I saw a sign saying NO CASH meaning that this establishment does not accept cash as a form of payment. I consider that to be a major fail. Once I saw that sign I decided not to give this establishment any of my business. Though there is certainly some convenience with cashless forms of payment, I am absolutely against the establishment of a cashless society. I believe that a cashless business should be a clientless business and ought to either start accepting cash or else go out of business. Unfortunately my state of California has not yet passed legislation to make it compulsory for businesses to accept cash as a form of payment. Businesses that refuse to accept cash are discriminating against certain parts of the population, namely those who deal exclusively in cash as well as the unbanked and debanked. It is my policy to give any business establishment that does not accept cash as a form of payment the lowest possible score. I would be absolutely thrilled if people would boycott business establishments that refuse to accept cash as a form of payment including this establishment. If I was to assign a letter grade as is done in school, this establishment would get an F.
