Anyway, I tried the Saigon de leche which I love! My go to is usually a Spanish latte whenever it's on the menu and I enjoyed their version. As someone who has regularly supported Ondo, I'm leaving this review to share a disappointing pattern in customer service and shop policy. During one visit, requesting a simple sprinkle of cinnamon resulted in an unnecessary comment, after asking for cinnamon on my iced latte, Marcy (a shift supervisor) looked at me with annoyance and said "just to let you know it's hydrophobic so it's not going to mix" On another visit, when I tried to order my usual iced Americano with cold foam, Marcy refused, saying "those are just the rules." Even when I asked to simply purchase a side of cream top instead, she refused to sell it to me--which was baffling, considering other staff members have been making this exact drink for me without issue for the past two weeks. After messaging the owner, he explained that the shop restricts drink modifications to speed up service. However, the obvious miscommunication among staff shouldn't fall on the customer. It was extremely uncomfortable to be shut down and given a hard time by Marcy. While every business has the right to set its menu rules, denying basic customizations and refusing to sell a side of cream top feels overly rigid for a local coffee shop. Visited on a Sunday around noon and it wasn't busy at all. I ordered the Mt. Hoji and really liked the overall flavor profile. It was nutty with a nice hojicha flavor, but the original sweetness level was too sweet for me. They were very kind and offered to remake it half sweet. Since the drink uses a hazelnut sweetener, reducing the sweetness also took away some of the nuttiness that complemented the hojicha. I honestly couldn't decide which version I preferred. The full sweetness had a better nutty flavor, while the half sweet suited my sweetness preference more. I also found the hojicha itself pretty powdery, which was probably my biggest issue with the drink. Overall, I liked the flavors, but there were a few things that kept me from enjoying it. These are some of the best coffees I've had! For starters, the butterscotch cream latte is perfect. It has amazing flavor, and you can actually taste the coffee instead of it being overpowered by sweetness. It's only a 12 oz, but it's so good that I didn't mind at all. This was my first time trying the banana cream latte, and it's amazing! They use fresh banana instead of artificial flavoring, which I absolutely love. It has a great balance of coffee and sweetness, and the 16 oz size is perfect. Overall, the coffee here is incredible. I think I've found my new favorite coffee shop for this part of town and there are a lot of great coffee shops in this area! We had a Flat White & Cortado. Both were excellent rich & creamy and served at the perfect drinking temperature. This is honestly one of the best Flat Whites I've had in years!! Will be going back soon to try some of there other drinks. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the drinks. There is also a large variety of beans available for sale. I was even able to find filters for my home pour-over setup! Its a smaller shop with a modern, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay. There is limited seating inside and a couple of benches outside. Not the kind of space where you can sit down to work or study. I think this is the best coffee shop in the Cerritos/Artesia area for specialty coffee lovers. These guys are friendly, clearly know their stuff, and produce some really tasty brews. Their pour-overs have great flavor separation, and if you prefer sweetened latte-style drinks, they have a small but unique selection. You definitely get quality over quantity here. I also really appreciate that they stock specialty beans and brewing equipment. It's a small shop, so probably not somewhere you'd wanna post up for work, but it would be a great place to catch up with a friend over some great coffee. read more

There are soo many great matcha spots in the area, but Ondo is my go-to for a great matcha! I think they have the best banana matcha! Banana matcha (matcha latte with banana cream top) is not too sweet and the matcha itself is smooth and velvety. For non-matcha drinkers, the Guinness Butterscotch Cream Latte is a MUST TRY. Ondo Coffee is a very clean and simple coffee shop. The space isn't huge and there aren't too many seats, so it feels a little more focused on takeout than hanging out for a long time. Parking can be a little tight since the plaza itself is pretty small, but the shop had a nice, calm vibe inside. I ordered two Americanos and overall, the coffee was solid. I also liked that they gave me two different bean options. One of the options was described as fruity, and I actually enjoyed that one a lot. It had a nice bright acidity without being too much. The other one was described as having chocolate notes, but I personally didn't really pick up a strong chocolate flavor. It felt more like a non-fruity, smoother option. Personally, I'd recommend the fruity bean if you're trying their Americano. If this place were closer to my neighborhood, I could see myself stopping by pretty often. read more

3/10/2026 Mt. Hoji (Seasonal) Got it with whole milk. It was a unique drink! Very creamy flavor, taste and mouthfeel. It tasted a like cereal in milk. But it did not taste like hojicha. It did have that earthy flavor, as it was a sprinkled with a light layer of hojicha powder on top, yet that was the only bit of hojicha flavor. I would definitely get this again! Wish this was a permanent menu item! Cappuccino It was good. Espresso option was Fruity or Choco. I got it in Choco, which is a darker espresso. The darker flavored espresso brought a "chocolatey" flavor. Added a packet of raw sugar. As most coffee shops, the cappuccino was not hot, but medium hot. Wish it would have been slightly more hotter, I think I would have enjoyed it more. Ambiance / Seats / Restroom Limited seats. It is more of a small tray-like table with wooden bench seats. It wasn't uncomfortable or anything like that. When I went, it wasn't busy, so I was able to find seats quickly and enjoy my drinks. There was restroom available too. Customer Service There were three people working there and the person who took my order was friendly and nice. Ondo Loyalty Card Before purchasing the drinks, I was given an Ondo loyalty card. It can be used at both Ondo locations. Buy 10 drinks and you get $5 off the next one! Parking It's in a small strip mall, so parking lot is small. I've had this bookmarked and remembered to swing by here the next time I was in the Cerritos/Artesia area. It was mid-morning on a weekday so there was plenty of parking although kind of a tight fit. I ordered their most popular coffee drink: The Guinness Butterscotch Cream Latte. It's a cream top iced latte with house-made butterscotch sauce with Guinness Zero (non alcoholic beer). It was a bit on the pricey side for the rather small size. I also purchased an apple danish from the pastry case. There is minimal seating inside. I was confused with the seating area at first; there are three stools and also a bench along the walls with wooden cubes here and there. I wasn't sure if one was supposed to sit on the cubes or the bench. I initially sat on a cube with my drink on the bench so I could look out the window but everyone who came in after me was sitting on the bench, so I nonchalantly switched. Back to the food. The apple pastry was quite good with delicious apple pieces although the pastry itself was dense and slightly tough to cut through. I was definitely disappointed in the latte. I liked the bold espresso and the cream top was good but I couldn't really taste any beer or butterscotch. Just a slight sweetness. Maybe my taste buds are incapable of tasting subtle flavors. I caught a bit of butterscotch with my final sips though. After my initial tastes of this drink, I decided to just stir it all up and enjoy it. I appreciated the judicious use of ice. I've tried several coffee cafes' cream top lattes over the past few months and think I'm done with that phase as I'm just not enjoying them as much as straightforward lattes. read more

Delicious Matcha Lattes and Pastries!! I got the Matcha Latte, the Strawberry Matcha Latte, and the Tomato Pesto Danish! The Matcha Latte was great! It was a good balance of sweet and bitter. The employees were so nice and attentive! She was checking in a couple times to see if I had any questions on the menu. The cafe looks small on the outside, and it is small inside as well. The cafe is clean, there's plenty of seating and tables, and there's a restroom for customers. I wouldn't consider this cafe a study spot because I think there's only one or two tables and seats for studying. There's also no big table so this isn't a group studying spot. The cafe is so cute and nicely decorated. The parking lot outside made it easy to find parking, but I know the parking lot can get busy during certain hours. I would come here again! This is a tiny coffee shop just a few steps away from another coffee shop in a separate strip mall. There's very limited parking no matter what time you get here because there are at least four other businesses sharing the same small lot. I just ended up parking on the street even though I thought I came during non-busy hour. Seems like the most popular drink here is the Guinness Butterscotch Cream Latte so that's what I ordered. It's only available iced in a 12 oz. cup. It's somewhat pricey at $7.50 but the drink was fantastic. The butterscotch cream top was very tasty and unique. I think I got a little bit of Guinness aftertaste although was faint. Had a nice balance of sweet followed by little bit of burnt/caramelized taste. Not sure where this place gets its pastries from but the apple danish was really good. This is another good option for coffee in this area but I probably won't visit that frequently just due to inconvenient parking and limited seating/space. I got the iced Guinness Butterscotch Cream Latte. The coffee was surprisingly strong, almost reminiscent of Vietnamese coffee. It had a bold, intense kick without being too overwhelming. I liked the sweetness level of the drink, the cream top did not overpower the coffee flavor. I would not recommend this to anyone who likes sweet milk with a side of coffee lmao. I tried their bestseller and signature drink, the Guinness Butterscotch Cream Latte. I was excited to try this one because the drink screamed butterbeer. I have to say, the flavor profile was incredible. It didn't taste like pure butterscotch or straight up beer. Rather, the house-made Guiness butterscotch sauce was rich without being overly sweet, and had this almost burnt taste to it. I'm not sure how else to describe it, other than to say it's a creative flavor combination. Anyways, the guiness butterscotch latte is their version of a cream top latte, only infinitely better! Keep in mind though, this drink is non-adjustable (other than the number of espresso shots). I also tried their Saigon de leche, which is basically a standard Spanish latte. It didn't impress me like the guiness butterscotch one did, but it was a solid drink nonetheless.
