Biscoff (cookie butter) latte
Donisha B.

Pretty nice coffee shop , really nice clean minimalist aesthetic. I got the cookie butter latte it was really good: the flavor isn't that strong but the coffee and or espresso was. My ham and cheese croissant was really good just needed to be warmed up more.

Nice spot! I decided to stop by and try the coffee here. I got an iced vanilla latte with almond milk; it was pretty good. I also tried the coffee cake which they warmed up, and that had a really good flavor and texture. The service was friendly but on the slower end, and the interior was clean and simple. The upbeat music playing in the background was a nice touch. Note that this shop is in a small shopping center, but appears to have plenty of parking.

Their version of banana milk matcha is sooo good. I think they use the Korean banana milk from those little cartons! It tastes very unique & delicious. I also add vanilla bean cream top and it's the perfect sweet treat! I would love to work here, but they don't have ANY outlets :( otherwise the ambiance inside is cute and it's very minimal/ clean inside. The strawberry milk matcha is sooo good too!

Matcha latte + biscoff latte

I always pass by this place since I basically live next door and I'm glad I finally stopped by! Came here around 11 AM on a Friday morning and it wasn't too empty nor busy as people continued to come in. I got the Matcha Latte w/ whole milk and my cousin got the Biscoff Latte w/ oat milk. The matcha latte was good, but I've had better (perhaps my standards are higher because of all the Ktown cafes). Regardless, I enjoyed the matcha latte... I just wish the matcha was stronger, but I could tell it was good quality ceremonial grade. Maybe I'll try their strawberry latte or add a cream top in the future for a sweeter taste. As for the Biscoff Latte, my cousin thought it was a good amount of sweetness and the cream top was delicious to balance out the latte. She wishes that the latte tasted more like cookie butter/Biscoff, but it did come with not only one, but two biscoff cookies! From what I saw, there were plenty of parking spots available and tables for studying! Only downside is I didn't see any outlets, but there is a restroom inside and they were playing nice cafe-esque music. I love how the interior looks--very cute, clean, calming, and minimalistic! I'm happy we have a friendly neighborhood coffee/matcha spot and I'd probably come here again if I'm looking for a drink fix or a study spot.

This coffee shop is an absolute treasure. Delicious and affordable, Mono Coffee is a low-key space tucked on the far east side of Lakewood. It was quiet and calm when I dropped in a Wednesday morning. It was super low-key. I tried their iced banana latte. The banana flavor was blended into the milk and was extra rich and banana-y. It was so delicious. The espresso was strong and helped balance out the super sweet banana-iness. They had so many pastries in their case! Definitely something for everybody to snack on while they enjoy their beverage. Highly recommend checking this spot out!

I wanted to try out this cafe since I was in the area. It's located in front of a busy intersection in a small plaza with free parking so it can be easy to miss if you're not actively searching for it. However, once you go inside, the interior is so cute, clean, and minimal! I ordered the einspanner (whole milk) and a croffle. The drink was really good, not too sweet, and pretty strong! I wish I had more people with me to try other drinks since their menu looked great. The croffle was warmed up for me and came out the same time as they called for my drink which I thought was a nice touch. It was sweet and slightly sticky where small bits would be stuck to my teeth but overall delicious.

London Matcha Cloud (Oat Milk). Periodt. I came here on a Thursday afternoon after a hot day playing pickleball. The parking lot is small, but I was lucky to find a spot in front. The store's interior is very minimal with a few tables to sit and study. They have one restroom with a code to access. I came here thirsty and ordered myself two drinks. The London Matcha Cloud sounded interesting and since this is a coffee shop, I ordered the Biscoff Latte to-go. Who knew that London Fog and Matcha would harmonize so well together? The earl grey based tea stood out and so did the Matcha! The drink was silky, refreshing, and sweet. I should have ordered a second one to-go. This is a 5/5 for me. The Biscoff Latte was also delicious. The barista said the coffee would be sweet, but I think the London Matcha Cloud was sweeter. For a coffee, the drink was sweet and creamy. The Biscoff flavor was light. This is a 4/5 for me. The cups are small, but the flavor and quality are worth it.

Parking: there was a parking lot is on the smaller side. It was almost full, but I was still able to get a parking spot Service: the baristas were very kind. Drinks were made quickly and efficiently. Ambiance: there were a few tables, ample space for studying. It wasn't too busy (at least when I went) Food/drink: Banana Matcha Latte (no milk substitution option) 5/10: they seem to just use 1 of tbe Korean banana milk cartons for the banana flavor, which I wasn't the biggest fan of. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't the greatest. There are some other stronger banana matcha latte contenders in Orange County Mango Matcha Latte (with oat milk) 6.5/10: it was a unique and creative drink, but it personally wasn't my cup of tea. The mango flavor tasted fresh and not artificial, but the matcha was on the grassier side so it wasn't what I was looking for Together, the drinks costed $14.45. I was expecting a bit more from this coffee shop given the past glowing reviews, but drinks wise, it was a miss for me. Perhaps I just didn't select the right beverages for my own taste! If I were in the area, I would potentially come back for some of the pastries they offered. The pastries made the whole store smell delightful and delicious.

Early grey matcha

wow... INCREDIBLE. In today's economy finding something worth the splurge is really really hard to find (for me atleast). I usually make my coffee at home to save money but today was one of those days. On my way to work I saw a long line at Starbucks across the street. starbucks, a mediocre coffee place that we all go to for the aspect of convenience is no longer convenient. To my left I see "Mono Coffee". I love to support small businesses and to try new, handcrafted drinks and food. With no line in sight it was a no brainer. I was greeted by two people, one lady working hard on drinks and gentlemen assisting and working the counter, organizing, etc. he helped me pick out a drink. I have been craving earl grey. It was early grey iced with a matcha foam. my new obsession. I like my drinks not too sweet so it was perfect. All the menu items were things I haven't seen before. You can tell it was handcrafted with love, thought, and passion. I wasn't planning on getting food but the window of fresh baked goods looked irresistible. The gentlemen recommended two pastries while the lady prepared my drink quickly. I got an everything crossaint filled with cream cheese. There may have been the faintest hint of truffle that was not overpowering at all. You can tell the seasoning was homemade because the onion was fresh toasted and not dehydrated. I believe they outsource to a local family owned bakery that is incredible. It's hard to find good , real French butter, flakey , and correctly made crossaints. Holy melt in my mouth goodness. He also recommended the guava crossaint (I think maybe passion guava? That have guava curd and Carmelized sugar crust on the outside and that perfect signature flakey crossaint outside. LORD HAVE MERCY!!!! so so good. The ambiance is wonderful and relaxing. I loved the photos of what seemed like the staff. That's when I realized this must be family owned. I asked how long they have been there and they said three years. A huge feat in a post Covid economy with so many ups and downs in just the last year alone. It takes hard work and dedication and a pinch of luck. Not only was I in and out quicker than Starbucks but it was worth every single penny. God bless this place ! :,)

My boyfriend usually swings by this place on his way home from work. I finally decided to come check it out in person. I got the London matcha cloud and two of their newer fall item, banana milk mocha latte with mocha cream top and hojicha latte with mocha cream top. All the drinks were very tasty. If you never had banana milk, you should probably try it before ordering it. You can definitely taste both the banana milk and the mocha and it's balanced out. The Hojicha latte turned out to be my favorite. I love Hojicha in general. I did also really enjoy the London matcha cloud because it has a strong earl grey flavor. These drinks are so cozy. Croffle is sweet and delicious and the super berry bagel with cream cheese was a nice breakfast. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I love that this is so close to me. I would be back again.

Was in the area and was craving matcha. We got an iced latte, and a matcha. Iced latte was a 10/10 but matcha was a little underwhelming. I ordered the ceremonial grade matcha, but it didn't really taste like that to me. It tasted milk, and no bitter taste at all. I recommend finding matcha somewhere else. Would come back here for the coffee.

I didn't know this place had einspanner, so I guess this means I have to come back. Lol. I ordered the biscoff latte. Sounded amazing, I mean cookie butter melted in espresso w/ honey and cinnamon - yes, please! It wasn't bad, but it wasn't my favorite either. It was just so so. The service was great! It was very clean inside and parking was easy to find.

It was so much that we would reach free drink status pretty quickly. I would grab an Ube matcha with oat milk for me and a cold brew latte with a shot of espresso and oat milk for my partner. We both would also order the waffles. It was a great little breakfast on the go. And service was top notch--pleasant and quick. The quality of the drinks was consistently great! Plus ordering it all online made it super convenient. Lately, there appears to be a shift at Homeboy Coffee. My drinks have had issues with them (i.e., no coconut syrup, watered down, wrong milk, less espresso shot than previously). Now, the waffle is not available for purchasing through their online ordering system despite them available in the store. Overall, Homeboys is okay. It isn't what it used to be which is sad especially because i loved it...especially their Ube matcha latte and waffles. I hope this is a temporary shift and that the OG Homeboy comes back.

Decided to give it a try again, and it did not disappoint. The barista was kind enough to recommend his favorites and let me know that the uji tea cream top was similar to a hojicha latte. I tried it and loved it because it had a nice, sweet and nutty flavor. My mom tried the matcha meadow, and we both liked how light the lavender taste was. The lavender did not overpower the matcha. I also really like cafes that do house-made syrups, so this was a plus! While waiting for our drinks, I noticed there was a lot of seating and it seemed pretty quiet. This seems like a good study spot for those that want to focus without the hustle and bustle of a busy cafe. Keep in mind though, I did come on a weekday afternoon. The only downside I would say is that the price is pretty steep for a small cup of matcha/tea-- at $7.50 for a cup that looks smaller than a 16 oz. The flavor is there, but the price for an upsize would be an additional $1.25 equal to around $9 for a cup of coffee/matcha/tea. I do want to try the ferrero rocher latte and the crème bru-latte, so I may be back despite the price point.

Some people literally work their tech-support jobs from the store and they're constantly loud and oblivious to their surroundings.
