Things You Should Know Before Going to Piccolo Piccolo Coffee is a beautiful space with a lot of potential, but there are a few things I think customers should know before visiting. I stopped by on a Wednesday at 1pm while looking for a cozy place to study and get some work done. The first thing that caught my attention was the atmosphere. The decor is vibrant, the colors are beautiful, and the space is definitely picture-worthy. I could easily see this becoming a great spot for a coffee date, catching up with a friend, or enjoying a slower morning. However, keep in mind that Piccolo is currently in a soft launch phase, so they are still developing and refining parts of the experience. The seating was comfortable, and I did notice others working and enjoying the space. I ordered the Vietnamese Iced Coffee with cream top and a blueberry gluten-free muffin, spending about $12 total. The coffee had a good concept, but I personally wanted a stronger espresso flavor. For those who enjoy a sweeter coffee drink, it may be a better fit. The muffin unfortunately did not meet my expectations as it lacked blueberry flavor, and I only had a couple bites before deciding not to finish it. The service was another area where I think there is room for growth. When I asked about the meaning behind the name Piccolo, I was hoping for more interaction and connection, but the employee I spoke with seemed disengaged and did not make eye contact. Overall, I think Piccolo has created a beautiful foundation. The space is clean, inviting, and has a lot of potential. As they continue to grow, I would love to see the drinks, food offerings, and customer service become as strong as the atmosphere they have created. I'm rooting for Piccolo and hope to see how they continue to evolve.
I like to try new coffee shops with my husbands on weekends and one thing I've come to appreciate is when we visit a new one and the person helping us asks "is this your first time visiting?" and then they proceed to tell you a little bit about the coffee shop and some of their customer's favorites. I really love when that happens and the girlies and Piccolo did an excellent job at that. They were so friendly and made great recommendations. I had the London Smog, which is like a London Fog but with espresso....AH-MAZING. I love a good London Fog, and I never thought to just add some espresso in there. The Smokey Maple is what my husband ordered and he really liked his drink. For food my husband had the lox smoked salmon bagel and I had the plain bagel with honey cinnamon cream cheese. Both were 5/5! The decor is cute and they had comfortable chairs. It's a quiet spot and I will definitely come back.
For a catch up coffee date, this cafe is beautiful and does *feel* like a comfortable space. Lots of tables, seating, and some outlets if you want to study. I saw a few people work. I thought the service was friendly, checked in a few times but not in an intrusive way. Location is great if you like to eat around the area, and close to the mall if you want a break from working. I got the Smoked Maple, the espresso is definitely working and a solid drink. I might try something else next time on their signatures. You can get a stamp card if you plan on returning. :)
This is a pretty, new coffee shop I think its been open about 4 months. I must say it is beautiful with opulent decor consisting of rich floral wallpaper, chandeliers & gold framed mirrors and a beautifully tiled opalescent counter. This is the perfect spot to grab a drink and take some pics for your ig :) We ordered Smokey Maple Latte & a Piccolo, how could I not LOL Both were pretty good but to hot to drink. Maybe if I was taking them home and wanted to drink them in 30 minutes but since were were having them there it was a little inconvenient. After eventually being able to taste they were, again, pretty good. Not the best but enjoyable. They are located in a busy strip mall with plenty of parking even if it could have been cleaner. But the shop itself was very clean and the staff was very friendly. I'm looking forward to trying it again soon :)
This establishment is regenerative organic certified. I had to look up exactly what that meant but basically it is a farming method that focuses on ecosystem regeneration and soil health. Ask for a stamp card, by 10 drinks and then next one is free! My cafe Nico what was the perfect amount of coffee and citrus orange. I tried a gluten free Chocolate donut that I enjoyed. Atom you would not have liked it. I will return.
Piccolo Coffee is a new, nicely decorated coffee shop in the neighborhood of Artesia, nestled between L.A. Brisket and Calvary Chapel-Artesia. This coffee spot features a decent variety on its menu and a number of small tables where you can easily catch up with friends or work. The barista staff offers friendly service and the drinks are carefully crafted. (I personally wasn't a fan of their Iced Americano, but the Einspanner latte was better.) I look forward to trying more of their drinks! The cafes soft opening hours are from 8am to 2pm. I visited this location around 11am and although there were patrons, it was still a relatively quiet atmosphere. It's a nice place to swing by if you're in the Artesia/Cerritos/Norwalk area!
I think I've found one of my new favorite coffee spots. 1) Easy shared parking in a shopping plaza 2) Cute, vintage interior with great music playlist 3) Smooth customer service with the baristas having a cheery and welcoming disposition 4) Soft, fluffy everything bagel. Not too heavy and toppings that complement each other well I will say the only thing I found a bit lackluster was the Smokey Maple, but that's only because it didn't taste like its description (bourbon reduction and maple hickory with sea salt, espresso, and milk). It tasted more like standard coffee with a hint of salt. Regardless, I appreciate the overall experience, and already have a loyalty rewards card where if you get 10 stamps, you get 1 drink free. I can see myself visiting this place often, and with their expansive drinks menu, I'm eager to explore more.
My favorite new coffe place! Very nice decor, and a great place to study/work on a laptop during the week. I went on a Saturday late morning, and it did get very crowded with long lines and limited seating. The coffee drinks I've tried were all pretty good, and you can see that they care and take time with your drinks. The coffee has great flavor and isn't too bitter or sour. It's my kind of coffee. I haven't tried a pastry yet, but they have awesome looking stuff. On the weekend, they sold out of things pretty fast, so go early if you want pastries. The prices are fairly typical of other coffee shops, and the pastry prices are reasonable considering their size. Parking is also great -- plenty of parking right in front, and it's a good sized parking lot. The other businesses in the plaza don't seem that busy. They have stamp cards where you can get a free drink after 10 drinks! I'll definitely be coming back to try more drinks and get those stamps!
#186 in my Coffeeshop Chronicles. Piccolo was a fantastic find! They opened less than two months ago and are in their soft opening phase, so the shop hours are currently 8 am to 2 pm every day. Anyways, I forgot what this space used to be but they did a beautiful remodel, with a bold vintage avian wallpaper, opulent chandeliers, ornate gold mirrors, and vibrant colors throughout, giving the space a Victorian chic feel. Their menu is comprised of artisanal lattes and specialty drinks using housemade syrups. The syrups aren't too sweet so you can really taste the balance of flavors with the espresso. So far I've tried their Smoky Maple, London Smog, and Spiced Caramel lattes. The Smokey Maple latte is crafted with bourbon reduction, maple, hickory, and sea salt. The London Smog latte is made with an early grey syrup and a cream top for a little extra luscious feel. I love espresso with earl grey (my latest addiction), and the version here is top-notch. The Spiced Caramel latte is crafted with caramel, vanilla, and five spice for a nice little kick. For those who don't know what five spice is, it's a Chinese seasoning blend that typically combines cloves, cinnamon, star anise, fennel seeds, and Sichuan pepper. I've tried five spice lattes before and I love the concept of combining the unique blend with espresso, creating a one-of-a-kind drink. Anyways, all three drinks were wonderful. ****************** My Ratings: 1 Star: Terrible; just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars: Wasn't a fan so Not likely to return. 3 Stars: Meh. Average. Might return if others drag me. 4 Stars: Yum! Likely to return. 5 Stars: Amazing! Would plan my day around it.
Took a brisk walk over after dropping off my car for servicing at the dealership. The space is charming, with a modern Victorian aesthetic. Since they're still in soft opening, a few menu items were unavailable, but still a few interesting coffee options. The barista was sweet and answered questions about the different coffee options and ingredients. I ended up going with the Espresso Spritz, lox bagel, and pistachio croissant. The Espresso Spritz was a delightful surprise. It has pomegranate, blueberry, sparkling water, and espresso. It's outside my usual order, but I really liked it. The lox bagel was tasty, and since I had a 20-minute walk back to the dealership, I ended up eating the warm pistachio croissant there as well. It was delicious!
First off, this cafe is so cute- love the aesthetic, vibrant colors, and lighting! Service was great. I asked about their house made syrups and was reassuringly told that the majority of them are made in house, which is something I look for when I go to new cafes. I ended up trying their earl grey matcha. I liked how the earl grey was light and complimented the matcha while also not overpowering it. My mom was able to try their double matcha, which was good and strong! I could see why they put it in a 12 oz cup instead of a 16 oz cup. I would definitely recommend this cafe, and hope to try their espresso drinks the next time I come around!

Every drink feels thoughtfully crafted--balancing unique flavors, aromas, and that perfect mix of sweet and savory - perfect for coffee connoisseurs I got the Smokey Maple with almond milk and added cold foam (my top drink here). It has a subtle smokiness with a hint of saltiness, and everything comes together so smoothly--super well balanced. We also tried the Espresso Spritz, which I surprisingly LOVED. Perfect if you want to skip milk but still get your espresso fix. It's made with club soda, pomegranate blueberry syrup, and espresso on top--it's light, refreshing, and all the flavors complement each other really well. Lastly, we had the Café Nico (their smallest hot drink). I'm usually not a fan of coffee and orange together, but this completely changed my mind. The citrus and coffee worked beautifully together--definitely recommend if you're into that combo or even just curious to try something new. The ambiance is super cute--I LOVE their chairs (so comfortable), and there are plenty of outlets, making it a great spot to get some work done. The staff have always been incredibly kind and helpful with recommendations. Highly recommend checking this place out!
Loving this Bridgerton style vibe the moment you walk in. The lighting with the chandeliers and the floral wallpaper with gold rimmed mirrors just brings out the soft girl era in me. Love the comfy chairs and space that keeps me comforted. Love it. This location is nothing like the Brea location except for the drinks. I ordered the common favorites like the strawberry matcha, cream top latte and Vietnamese coffee. Of had to order my almond croissant and morning bun. But Sarah at Piccolo was like hey, try the spiced maple warm and the lox bagel too. I responded with a yes on yes. Sarah was right. That spiced maple latte was so good. Not too sweet and right balance of different that makes me want to sip more. The lox bagel was beautiful and tasted nicely the moment my lips touched the surface. I had a horrible Monday and I felt like I was rescued this Tuesday morning.

Piccolo is such a wonderful addition to the city of Artesia! Their drinks are delectable. I've tried almost everything on the menu and they're all really good. My favorites have to be the Cream Latte and the Matcha Creamtop. I appreciate that they have drink items specifically for my kiddo as well. The pastries they offer are delicious but the avocado toasted bagel will have you thinking about it for days! The cucumbers always seem to be artfully and thoughtfully placed and the microgreens with the lemon wedge squeezed on top give it a refreshing bite. If you havent checked out Piccolo yet--you need to! They're always welcoming and ready to serve you! read more
I'm in LA for a business trip, and this little coffee shop is very close to our office, so I ended up coming here several mornings in a row. I really enjoyed the breakfast sandwich. It was filling, flavorful, and had a generous amount of egg and bacon. I also ordered their drip coffee, which was rich, smooth, and exactly what I needed to wake up in the morning. I'm heading back to Sacramento tomorrow, and I think I'm actually going to miss these quiet mornings here. Looking forward to coming back on my next business trip for another breakfast sandwich and a good cup of coffee. read more

I've been seeing this all over social media and had to try it out. Located right next door to LA Brisket, parking was good As you walk in you're greeted with fancy crystal chandeliers and a cute floral design on the walls. I got the Iced Smokey Maple latte with whole milk. This was a really good drink ! It wasn't overly sweet at all. I really liked the Smokey aspect to this drink. I also got a lox breakfast bagel. It came with your choice of bagel. I got jalapeño cheddar. For cream cheese I got the garlic herb. It also came with capers , olive oil, dill, lemon slices and of course smoked salmon. It tasted really fresh. The customer service was great. They were patient with me as I didn't know what to get lol. I have to come here again and try their coffee flight ! read more

My partner's Mom told us about this place and said they have the best coffee she's ever had so we knew we had to come give it a try. Staff here were so friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked through the door and were happy to answer any questions we had! I got the Belgium Mocha and as a self-proclaimed mocha connoisseur, I am happy to say that this was one of the best I had! This will definitely be one of our new go-to spots. read more

This was a hit! I was greeted with a friendly and personable lady behind the counter who helped me make my selections. All the drinks look delicious and creative. I was hungry that morning and settled in the lox bagel. Mmm it was so yummy. The bagel was perfectly chewy and the salmon, dill, capers were well balanced. I'd go back for it. I got the bourbon coffee, which has a more sophisticated name I can't remember. The ambiance was great! Very pretty interior, comfy chairs and WiFi. I was able to do work while I was there and was comfortable. read more
I saw this place the other day. Told wifey I wanted to try it out. So, today we came in around 11ish. It was too busy. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. The cashier/ barista was very nice and explained what was good and what was better hot or cold. She also gave us a card stamp which is nice. Inside there are a lot of tables people can sit or study at. Drinks were good, they had good flavor and nice taste of espresso. read more
A genuine coffee shop with Mid-Century Modern Maximalism interior design with an industrial chic overlay. There is upbeat music played moderately in the background, and ample seating for your average sit and sip coffee goers. The staff is friendly and fast with their services. Also Sarah the owner is hospitable and has a genuine love for the craft and care for the customers. I ordered the Smokey Maple, which was rich, smooth, and creamy everything you could ask for. I highly recommend this place, a great place for community, conversations, and great coffee! read more
What a hidden gem! I can't believe it took me so long to find this place. Gorgeous, welcoming, elegant yet cozy, well lit but not too bright, interior with ample seating that is comfortable and spacious. Friendly, welcoming, and engaged customer service. Unique coffee and tea drinks that you won't find elsewhere in the area. House made syrups. Bagels shipped overnight from New York! Can't wait to try those, kitchen closes at 1:30pm. Pastries available all day! Very clean and aesthetically pleasing bathroom. Fun merchandise - love the espresso machine with the cat shirt and sweatshirt, hats, etc. Spiced caramel (5 spice) latte was delicious! Got it half sweet, it was perfect. Lowering the sweetness didn't compromise flavor. Offers milk alternatives. Offers a real cup for hot drinks of you ask! Located in the shopping center with Jack In The Box and LA Brisket, this coffee cafe is an excellent addition to Artesia. With its vibrant decor, friendly staff, and innovative flavors: Piccolo Coffee is a great choice when starting your day at 8am. I ordered the iced Smokey Maple with whole milk which had a bold yet smooth flavor, and with subtle hints of bourbon and maple with a sea salt finish. I would make this my drink choice, however would love to try more flavors and tantalize my palate. I've been wanting to try this place ever since I noticed it a few weeks back. Finally went and they are currently only open for soft hours. I believe like 8-12pm. Not sure when they'll be open regular/longer hours. When I noticed this shop, I looked them up and their first shop is in Brea. The lady who assisted us says this is their second location. The shop is aesthetically pleasing. Lovely decor, music and displays. The menu options are great too! I'm feel like something for everyone. Delicious and unique pastries. We got a jalapeno geese bagel and their in house made jalapeno cream cheese. The bagel itself looked fresh and that cream cheese-YUMMY!!! We also got their guava pastry. Yummy! Not super sweet too, which we liked. Just enough. I loved the chunks of fruits in the middle. My hubby got a double iced espresso and said it's great. He's a tough critic on espressos, so it must be delicious. My sister got the Vietnamese iced coffee with cold foam and nitro. She also likes hers. I tried it and it was tasty but you could taste the "kick" in it. Which I could use some days, so I'll be back to get that one. I got the strawberry matcha and it was okay. I'll probably not get it again but there was nothing wrong with it. Just wasn't really matcha flavor to me. The strawberry portion was good. I wooo say I recently had an amazing strawberry matcha, so maybe I just subconsciously compared it and I preferred the other places. Again, nothing wrong with it. So I'd still suggest if someone told me they like matcha. We'll be back! Especially cause the staff was soooooo nice, informative and helpful. Thanks for a great experience. read more

My friend and I tried this hidden gem and let me tell you we were not disappointed! The ambiance is so carefree and I feel like I can lose track of time. The service was phenomenal! She recommended the drinks for us (I got the dark chocolate) and it was so good! The croissants were crispy and flavorful, the matcha pistachio the strawberry croissant even better! I loved toss place so much I went back the next day! Truly go here! You won't be disappointed! read more

new coffee shop in artesia and the neo art deco? maximalist? interior layout is very fresh in comparison to the constant modern cafe layouts. huge plus for outlets, wifi, AND comfortable chairs. the parking lot is also very spacious with less restaurants so i assume you would not have to compete for space. i ordered their smokey maple iced latte and i would say it was a very solid latte - sweet, no bitterness yet a prominent espresso flavor that isnt too overpowering. the lox bagel was also a great first meal since it's not too heavy (the added lemon slices was a nice little touch). would come again especially bc of the comfy chairs. workers were super nice as well and were not rude even though i was there until closing (i didnt know their hours). read more

Another beautiful gem! I admit it.. I think I'm a coffee snob. My husband and I check out all the coffee shops in the Cerritos/ Artesia area. This beautiful coffee shop is a throwback in time to beautiful warm inviting coffee shops with great tasting coffee! I love people that are friendly AND have great social skills and that's how we were greeted as we opened the door. Ordered two cardamom rose coffees and two tantalizing pastries. The coffee was smooth with beautiful aroma of rose and light cardamom (not overly sweet) and the pastries were unique (guava/ lemon) and just perfect in texture and flavor. Wow, what a pleasant surprise. I wish this business much success and we will be visiting more often! read more

I stopped by Piccolo Coffee while working in the area and ended up having one of the best coffee experiences I've had in a long time. I met Sarah, and wow -- she absolutely knows what she's doing. The coffee here is incredible. Hands down the best coffee in Artesia. I tried the iced coffee with their bourbon‑inspired syrup, and it was unreal. Smooth, balanced, and full of flavor without being overpowering. You can tell they put real care into what they serve. Whether you're local or just passing through, give them a shot.
