Ambiance: it's a cozy coffee shop located in a shared plaza with limited parking, quite spacious and comfortable inside Service: friendly staff, patient with requests, and good barista art works Drink: they have seasonal items and signature drinks on their menu beyond regular drinks CREME BRU-LATTE - **** House-made sea solt caramel latte with torched brown sugar on sweet cold foam, creamy and caramelized topping and sweet taste, recommend MATCHA MEADOW - **** House-made lavender and vanilla ceremonial grade matcho latte sprinkled with woodfire sea salt, smooth and rich in flavor, recommend Price: solid quality, although it's on the pricey side, expect $9 per drink including tips

We ordered an iced latte and an iced Americano, and both were good--nothing extraordinary, but definitely above average. The drinks were well made and enjoyable. This time, the service was excellent, which made the experience even better. Overall, I'm glad we came back again.

My husband and I have been going around to a bunch of coffee shops recently and he has recently purchased an espresso machine, so he needed beans and therefore we came here lol. The service was really, really friendly! We were browsing beans right when we got into the store, and the cashier at the front noticed us doing so and gave us a sample of one of the bag of beans we were staring at! We got to chatting with her a bit about our latest espresso machine purchase and various bean flavors. We picked up a 20oz bag of Shubuta beans because it was the safest options (neither of us are that familiar with different coffee notes/flavorings) which was around $20. We also got a large vanilla bean latte for $7.20 + tax, and a free house brewed coffee with check-in. We really didn't like the house brewed coffee all that much, unfortunately, but I think this is a matter of preference. Neither of us just drink black coffee straight up without milk or a bit of sugar. The vanilla bean latte was solid. It was hot, slightly sweet, but there was a bitterness to it that I didn't love. I thought it was fine, and certainly pricey for what it was. Would still like to come back to try their other coffee or tea lattes in the future, though. Interior of the store is really spacious, with a decent amount of seating.

Been going to Solid for years now. I've probably tried everything on the menu. My recent favorite is the Ube latte. The staffs are so friendly and welcoming. It's got enough space for a study/ work session or catch up with friends. Free parking lot, free WiFi, strong AC during summer, and delicious food items as well. 5/5!

The place was packed for a Saturday afternoon. I tried their Ferrero Roche latte. Honestly it tasted like regular coffee. The guy said that it had some of the chocolate in there. I didnt get it until the end and it was barely anything. The drink was good, but not what I would get again. My brother got some banana matcha drink which I preferred. He said it was the ceremonial matcha which was really good.

My husband and I have been trying to go to more local coffee spots on the weekend so we decided to stop by Solid Coffee Roasters on a Saturday morning. The store is very unassuming on the outside but the ambiance inside is modern and cozy--very aesthetic overall. The menu is pretty large with a large variety of seasonal, signature, and classic coffees alongside a variety of teas. They also have light breakfast items on their menu which sounded delicious as well. I ordered the sencha cold brew (which is a summer seasonal item) and my husband ordered the v60 pour over. The cold brew was very unique and refreshing! If you like the flavors of green tea, I think you'd enjoy this. My husband was also impressed by his pour over and liked how he was able to taste all the different notes to his coffee. Service here was friendly. Overall, this is a good coffee shop and I'd recommend it!

Such an apt name for this coffee shop! There's a lot of space to sit and hang out if you want to with plenty of power outlets. The coffee here is pretty SOLID, although I just got a drop coffee. Free refills on drip when you dine in. The pastries are provided by a local bakery in Long Beach called Nonna's. My kids enjoyed their croissants. Friendly staff and they're pretty quick

I stumbled upon this coffee shop while running errands and instantly wished I lived closer! I ordered a pumpkin latte, and wow -- it was unforgettable. I live about 30 minutes away, so I haven't been able to try their other coffees yet, but if the pumpkin latte is any indication, everything must be amazing. Can't wait to come back!

Such a cute cafe to study/work from ~ definitely a hidden gem in OC/LA! I'm surprised they're not more popular given their spacious seating & aesthetic interior. I would visit more often as a wfh spot if I lived closer :-) ORDERED: - Blueberry Matcha - my fave! loveee the strong blueberry flavor - Blueberry Latte - second favorite, caffeine slightly overpowers the blueberry - Strawberry Shortcake Latte - could use more strawberry but still so yummy - Sencha Green Tea Cold Brew - mainly unsweetened tea - Pink Lady - super refreshing & the perfect non-caffeinated drink - Pineapple Fizz - not the biggest fan of tonics, tastes like a fizzy diluted sriracha... - Breakfast Sando - egg mcmuffin dupe but something you can make at home tbh

Honey Lavender Latte, Lox Bagel, and Ceremonial Grade Matcha

Visited on a rainy Sunday morning. Cafe is located in a plaza so there's plenty of parking. Very simple decor with plenty of seating. The guy behind the register was quick and offered us pretty good suggestions. Items that were ordered: - Honey Lavender Latte: Ordered it extra hot. It was served surprisingly quick and not overly sweet. - Lox Bagel: You can ask for only 1 side, but for 2 it costs $18, which I found to be a bit pricey. The bagel was not toasted, but the ingredients were high quality and well-seasoned with a nice addition of freshly cracked black pepper. I think the one suggestion I'd make is to perhaps add something for texture as the overall mouth feel was quite soft. - Ceremonial Grade Matcha: Didn't really try this, but I was told from who ordered it that it tastes like fish oil? I would definitely come back.

Solid latte. Whole milk. Vanilla. Just what I want in a cup: smooth espresso, creamy steamed milk, velvety foam, just right temp. Update: Lately drinks are bland, taste like milk even after asking for extra syrup. Seem to be poorly made and some of the employees are less friendly. Seem uninterested in helping customers and bothered when drinks made incorrectly.

I got the crème brûlée latte and it was okay. The guy described it as being very sweet, and I did not think it was, in fact it actually had a little zing to it but I drank it anyway. The cashier (didn't get his name), was very upbeat and knowledgeable about the menu. I sat here with my friend for about 2 hours just chatting and working. It was a nice environment!

Lately Cerritos seemed to keep exposing me to vibing spots for weekend wind down. Prolly not only me though, cause I could clearly see the crowd in almost all of these places LOL. The space they provided seem to well-serve different needs with the casual low coffee-table seats along with counter seats with high-table. Just like other coffee shops, Solid did offer a ton of inventive menus with different unique mix of ingredients and YEAH CREME TOP FOR SURE. Opting for something hot this time, I got their Sea Salt Sycamore, which supposedly served my latte with maple syrup and sea salt. I mentioned supposedly as I could barely savor any of them and it felt like common latte. Thankfully the coffee itself was great, so prolly worth another next time for other menu.

Sold coffee. Pun not intended. You can taste the quality of the coffee here vs it being all sugar. I got the creme brulee and loved it!

Is it pretty crowded?

Yep. I've always managed to find a seat, but sometimes, just barely. You can almost always find a place to perch near the roaster until a proper table turns up...

I was there at around 1030am with maybe 2 other people. There were plenty of chairs inside and outside and also lots of outlets! I ordered a chai latte which was very good. Their prices are on the higher side, however, I did feel very cozy working in this space. I loved the low-level jazz music and the fresh air that was coming through the coffee shop because they left the side door open. The lady who took my order did walk my coffee up to my table. (and yes, I AM posting this from the store) Coffee itself is OK. But the problem is that they don't have coffee most days after 11 or 12. I even offered to pay extra for the already not so cheap coffee but they wouldn't even make it for you. Some people literally work their tech-support jobs from the store and they're constantly loud and oblivious to their surroundings. Music is WAYY too loud and some of those chairs need to be burnt or cleaned once in a while. But most importantly, a coffee shop that doesn't serve coffee. Go figure. On the other hand, the service is great and staff is very friendly.

The coffee was solid -- smooth and balanced, no complaints there. I ordered the breakfast burrito with ham and bacon, and even though it's on the smaller side, the flavor was absolutely anazing.
