Since living in this area for the last year my coffee order has changed. By far Goodfellows has the best banana latte in the game (seasonal item so get it while it's hot) banana flavor is there, cinnamon notes are there. Chefs kiss! I've had banana latte's from other shops in the area and they just don't stand a chance. You can taste the coffee and the banana, not too milky, so good! (this does not include banana matcha I can't speak for that) Typically, I love a good triple shot of espresso over ice with cold foam on top when I'm in need of a big dose of caffeine--gets the job done. Goodfellows is more on the affordable side I feel like their offerings are fairly priced. Service is always great, space is bigger than most shops in the area. We asked for easy ice and she told us less ice means space at the top, they won't fill the drink fully. Didn't know leave meant 2 or more inches of nothing at the top! They charge for everything, upgraded milk, sold form, whatever else. And prices expensive to begin with. If they give a few less ice cubes, they can't give me a splash more of whole milk? Our cups were just over half full! That shows how much drink they're really making you to begin with, which is nothing... then to taste bitter and overly sweet top of it? The ambiance is nice inside. They have some couch chair type seats so you can relax if you don't want to sit at the regular table. It seems like it could be a cool study spot. They have some outlets on the tables which I love and is really convenient for customers! I believe they also have WiFi as well. I got a 16oz crème de la crème latte. It was good. I like that the flavor didn't overpower the taste of the coffee itself because some drinks can be sweet. It also had a thick whipped cream on top with cinnamon instead of cold foam. This coffee shop is a perfect place for studying, meetups, or a quick grab and go. I have tried a variety of drinks from their menu over the years. My favorite is the Crème de la Crème iced latte. What I like about their coffee is it's not overly sweet. The coffee flavor still pulls through in this drink. The workers are always nice and make conversation. There is a case of pastries and they have other options for drinks if you don't want coffee. The inside has ample seating, it's nice and clean, and there's outside seating as well. The only reason this place isn't a 5 star is because I have tried a variety of iced lattes in the past and noticed there's been a few times where the latte itself seemed milky and the coffee flavor didn't pull through. My hot Mexican mocha coffee was served in a mug. The turkey, chedder, bacon sandwich was served in a box. When I opened it, to my surprise it was wrapped in brown paper. Wow! We discovered this place after a visit to the Urgent Care a couple of doors down. They are very friendly and the ambiance is calm, modern and cute. Plenty of seating in and outside. They have a seasonal menu that changes, although I wish they didn't away with the mango matcha latte. As I came here almost every day for a week after finding this place. Just before they ended it. Shout out to Yelp for helping me find this place while I was in the area and wanted to try something new! Cool name, caught my attention. Very chill plaza, very chill ambiance. People were here hanging out on their phones, quietly reading with friends, and working via lap top. All the while it maintained a low key atmosphere. Loved the decor and color scheme. I ordered the Mexican Mocha, Honey Rose Latte, blueberry muffin, mini bear claw, and a breakfast sandwich on a croissant. I recommend getting your lattes half sweet because they were too sweet for my liking. I was disappointed because both lattes were lukewarm as if they were sitting out for 20 minutes, so unfortunately they weren't hot. The pastries were just okay, nothing I would order again. I bring my daughter in (almost) every sunday to grab coffee for my wife and I. The staff is always friendly and the coffee is great. For my wife it's a Strawberry Matcha or Yuzu Matcha Tonic, for me it's a good old Vanilla Latte. My daughter loves the muffins. The cafe is clean, comfortable and always visited by a wide mix of people. Come here for a coffee date, to work, study or grab a quick pick-me-up. DON'T GO HERE. I'm surprised that this place has as many stars as it does on yelp, given their poor level of service. I live in Cypress and generally avoid this place as it's not very good (the coffee was much better under the prior ownership, Java Connection), but it is so close to my house in Sorrento that I decided to stop by last week. After receiving my vanilla latte, I asked the barista if she could add a pump of vanilla, as it tasted very bitter. She told me in a rude tone that they charge for extra vanilla but that there is syrup on the shelf which I could add myself. I gave her an incredulous look and told her I didn't have this problem with the hazelnut, and that I could pay the difference. She proceeded to pump some vanilla into a paper cup and hand it to me. Yes..she expected me to adjust my own vanilla latte. She then stated that next time I need to tell them in advance that I would like it sweeter. What a joke...there will be no next time! Goodfellows needs a basic lesson on how to run a coffee shop business. When you charge $7-8 for a cup of coffee, you are selling what is known as a CUSTOM drink. In simple terms, this means you make adjustments to make it right, rather than telling customers to fix it themselves. This is standard across coffee shops. This is an absolute ludicrous level of service compared to any other coffee shop in the area or anywhere else. I would much rather go to the Starbucks inside Ralphs or Bunny Cha next door, than ever set foot in this joke of an establishment again. I regret having given my hairstylist a $50 gift card for this place last Christmas, which I did only because it is convenient for her. Following this incident, I did reach out to let them know what my experience had been, but I received no response. We can only hope this place goes out of business soon, and that a real coffee shop opens in its place! What a waste of limited Cypress retail space! In considering the behavior of the barista as well as the response of the business in contrast to their response to other yelp complaints, this appears to likely have been a racially motivated microaggression backed by management. Therefore, if you are a person of color (as much of this community is) or care about how all people are treated in general, it would be in your best interest to avoid this business. UPDATE: In response to Goodfellows, of course everyone's tastes are different; thus the concept of a custom drink. And no, the rude barista wasn't offering explanations or solutions per se. This was a brief exchange in which she was insistent on my adjusting my drink myself, rather than taking it back and adjusting it or offering to remake it. The cost was not the issue, but rather the complete lack of customer service. If you have ever been to another coffee shop before, you would understand what a poor level of service this is. And, I won't be needing that refund. Consider it a donation- maybe you guys could use my $8 to subsidize the cost of making some customers a decent custom coffee. read more

I have been visiting this establishment for at least two months. Throughout this period, the management and staff have generally been accommodating, with the exception of one individual. This individual, Claudia, I questioned why my beverage was smaller than usual, explaining that it was because I requested light ice. She also indicated that requesting additional milk would incur a charge of .50. It is important to note that during my past visits, I have never encountered an issue with my drink. When I attempted to clarify that management has consistently prepared my drinks without concern or issue, she dismissed my explanation. I also tried to discuss my concern with another barista to gain insight into the reasoning behind the light beverage request. However, she responded with the same perspective as Claudia. At this point, Claudia interjected, becoming defensive and unprofessional, speaking to me in a rude manner. She interrupted both myself and the other employee while I was speaking. Such conduct does not create a welcoming atmosphere or foster customer satisfaction. Despite remaining calm and composed, Claudia persisted in displaying a defensive and inconsiderate attitude.
