Orange County's cafe scene just keeps getting better and better. Cafe Haru quietly opened in Buena Park. Trust me and get the black sesame oat latte. It's nutty, creamy, and quite strong honestly. I'm not usually a mango person, but I really enjoyed their mango matcha latte. I love that all their drinks that have fruit in them use real fruit puree that they make in-house! This is such a cute aesthetic coffee shop that offers a mix of coffee, matcha, and pastry/sweets. Located in a shopping center there is a lot of parking. There isn't much seating in the shop so can get crowded during peak times. Ordered the following: Biscoff Latte Matcha Einspanner Strawberry Matcha Latte Lemon Bar Mallow Cookies I personally really liked both the matcha einspanner and the biscoff latte. You can taste the coffee plus that slightly sweetness from the biscoff. Also loved their pastries, really liked the lemon bar and mallow cookies! I visited for the first time around 2:00 PM on June 16th and immediately enjoyed the cozy and welcoming atmosphere. There was only one person inside studying, and the music was playing softly, making it a comfortable place to relax. The employee greeted me as soon as I walked in and helped me place my order right away since it wasn't busy at all. I asked what their most popular latte was, and he recommended the Biscoff latte. The pastries by the register looked beautiful and delicious, so I decided to try a s'mores bar and a mallow cookie topped with Oreo and Biscoff. Everything I ordered was amazing. This has definitely become one of my favorite places to stop by after Pilates. It's such a cute little shop and the staff are always so nice. They have a good matcha selection! I love their strawberry matcha and my sister loved their mango matcha. The fruit matchas are definitely on the sweeter side but you can always adjust the sweetness. If you've been wanting to try an iced biscoff latte, I highly recommend trying it from here. It's absolutely delicious and probably my favorite drink there. First time here and it was a nice, easy stop. I tried the black sesame oat latte and the biscotti latte. Both were good, just nothing that really stood out just yet. Service was really good. The place inside is cute with a clean, minimal vibe. There are small white tables lined along the wall with a bench and stools and some simple decor and artwork that gives it a cozy feel. It's not very big, but there were still plenty of open tables which was nice. Everything was clean and parking was easy since it's in a shopping center. I'm looking forward to trying more next time. One of my favorite coffee shops. The interior is small with only a few tables but what they serve is superb. I visited on a weekday afternoon and ordered a Biscoff latte and a lemon bar. I sat at the one available table and savored both items. The Biscoff latte was iced, with just enough ice to make it cold. I appreciate that they didn't overdo the ice like most coffee places. The flavor of cookie butter was vivid, sweet, and delicious. The cream top and crumbles of Biscoff added to the visual appeal. The lemon bar was slightly sweet and citrusy, with a tasty thin outer crust, the top of which was sprinkled with powdered sugar. For me, this was a perfect lemon bar in every way. Drinks we ordered were iced flat white and sesame latte. I liked the sesame latte because it wasn't too sweet at all snd their sesame cold foam was good. Coffee roast they use was good also. My husband liked his flat white. The store was very cute and cozy. Staff was ok, they didn't really acknowledge us until the barista nudged the cashier person to take our order. Idk what it is about customer service from these new cafes in the area lately.... They're not that friendly. This lady before us ordered a drink hot but they made it iced. She was really nice about it when letting the worker know but the owner (I'm pretty sure she was the owner) said something in Korean to the worker loudly and sounded upset about it. I found that a bit rude to speak your own language in front of a customer in the middle of an issue. It was pretty obvious she was upset at the customer. Their specialized menu consists of several unique and creative drinks, so it took me a moment to narrow down my choices. I ultimately went with their Black sesame latte and Green grape ade. The black sesame latte is one of their more popular drinks with it's rich, roasted, and slightly sweet flavor profile. I loved how creamy the nutty drink was after mixing. Nevertheless, as impressive as the latte was, the real winner for me was the green grape ade. The drink was a refreshing bubbly drink, both crisp and sweet. I also enjoyed the pastries I purchased, especially the Lotus marshmallow cookie. I'm so glad I discovered Cafe Haru recently. Parking is easy and the inside spanking clean and beautifully decorated. I had my drink orders placed online ahead of time and it was available upon arrival. I loved every sip of what I had ordered!!! The Biscoff latte and the caramel milk tea were delicious and refreshing. Both items weren't too sweet, and I didn't feel like all I had was 5 sips and rest of it ice. Phew! Enjoyed the black sesame oat milk latte so much, I almost wanted a second. Usually the black sesame flavor would be super strong where you are unable to taste the coffee, but this was very well balanced. The coffee was there and so was the black sesame. I'm usually a oat milk type of gal, and they were on the spot for me. Service - Very friendly staff. Explains each drink to you as you order. We stopped by for some drinks and dessert the other day. There is a lot of parking available in the shopping center they are located in. The café itself is small and charming. We got a few drinks. The black sesame oat latte was rich and dark. The apple peach ice tea was cool and refreshing. The apple and peach notes in the back of the tea were just right. Subtlety sweet and perfect for sipping. The green grape sparkingling ade was bubbly, sweet and refreshing. I couldn't stop drinking it. They also have a good assortment of pastries. I come here to pickup drinks from here every now and then. The drinks never disappoint and are not too sweet yet creamy which is what I prefer. The Einspanner is one of their signature items, and the Ube matcha was a new one which I got half sweet and was also great. The pairing with their desserts worked well and the cookie I had was perfect for sharing with my partner. I'm looking forward to trying different combinations next time. Besides the drinks/food, service is friendly and the staff helps provide explanations on drink differences. Overall, I feel welcome here whenever I come. Checked out Haru recently and overall had a nice experience. It seems like a new coffee spot and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. I ordered the matcha latte and it was perfect to my taste. It wasn't too sweet at all, and I ordered it as is with no adjustments. If you prefer sweeter drinks, I would recommend adding extra sweetener. My cousin got the black sesame latte, which was ordered unsweetened. It wasn't really for me since it had a very strong coffee flavor and the sesame was pretty subtle, but my cousin really enjoyed it. If you like your coffee not sweet and more on the bold side, I would recommend that drink. They also sell the viral Dubai chocolate cookie, which I had to try. I would rate it a 6/10. It wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out to me and I felt like the chocolate overpowered the pistachio to the point where I could barely taste it. Maybe it's just overhyped, but I had higher expectations. I wouldn't buy it again, though it's fine to try once if you're curious. Service was nice and fast, which I appreciated. The space itself is very small and the tables are close together, so I wouldn't recommend this spot for studying or working. It's more of a place to catch up and chat with a friend or two. Came for opening weekend. Great and quick experience. Staff was able to answer my questions and customize my drink (for ice and sweetness). Seating for 12 inside, with free WiFi and chill music. I could see myself working 'from home' for a few hours here. Food are some light pastries and baked goods, so could be a small lunch if needed. I like citrus and thoroughly enjoyed both the Yuzu Sparkling ade and the Sunset Green Tea. The Yuzu sparkling ade had slices of yuzu at the bottom, and came out a nice balance of sweetness and tartness, with some bubbles for texture and fun. The Sunset Green Tea is recommended as cold, and would be firmly in the sweet and citrus camp. I tried it, and asked for a bi more tea to reduce the sweetness. They obliged, and it was a smooth, lightly sweet green tea. Very satisfied and plan to come back when I am in the area. read more

Here for their grand opening and event and its cute cafe with 5 tables against the wall. They currently have a BOGO on drinks. Don't think it's 100% ideal for studying because I couldn't see any outlets except 1 in the corner but they have free wifi. Black Sesame Oat Latte is really good with a strong black sesame top. Coffee isn't as butter and strong as Viet coffee but similar. Blueberry matcha latte with almond milk was smooth and really liked it. The blueberry compote at the bottom reminds me of a jam. As for pastries, they have bars and looks like fresh croissants including Spinach Kale. Spinach Kale wasn't bad, better than 85deg bakery but it wasn't as crispy as I hoped. Will come back since it's def a good catch up spot with friends but keep kind of it does get busy, tables may be limited. read more

This is a great coffee shop but just in a boring location. I live less than half a mile from this shopping center but rarely come here. There just aren't any interesting shops here. I only discovered this place last week because I had to go to Cricket Wireless next door to get a new eSim card for my wife's new iPhone. There aren't any super special drinks I can't find elsewhere but I love the variety this place offers. I like that there are non-coffee drinks I can get for my kids. There are some great sparkling ade drinks like Green Grape and OC Blood Orange. Both were excellent and refreshing, and best of all, my kids loved them. Biscoff Latte was really good, and it's probably one of the best ones I had. Flavor wasn't too bitter and the cream top was excellent. I also loved the Black Sesame Oat Latte. I rarely get anything with oat milk these days, but it seemed like this drink pairs better with it than whole milk. Decor is minimalistic and pleasant, unlike surrounding shops in this center. It's a small place but doesn't look cramped due to its layout and clean decor. Service has been friendly. The owner and staff members I interacted with were all very nice. I think this place has only been open for about two weeks so it's been empty both times I've been here. I hope business picks up soon, although I kind of like enjoying the place to myself without annoying laptop table hoggers. read more

Went in to Haru for their grand opening. I was immediately welcomed by the staffs, which was a nice touch. The service was great throughout the whole interaction with the staff taking the order. After some contemplating, I decided to get the strawberry matcha and the biscoff latte. I won't be trying the latte until tomorrow so I cant speak for how it tastes but the strawberry matcha has a really nice balance of the matcha flavor and the milk. I think one of the hardest things to adjust for this drink is the balance between not making the strawberry flavor too strong and for it to balance it well with the matcha without the strawberry overpowering the drink. One thing to note is I'm not sure about what type of milk is available since they didn't give me the option. Overall, I think they did a great job! I got it in regular sugar and less ice. I usually get my drinks less sweet but it turned out to be perfect! The strawberry flavor also tastes very fresh. I'd get this drink again! The interior is on the small side, but there are ample seats with lively music. Some studying and some socializing. The cafe is located in a big lot, so there likely won't be any trouble with looking for parking. Try this new cafe out in Buena Park! read more

Cute new little cafe. Nicely decorated and enough tables for 7 parties of two to sit. Their bakery items are presented in a very chic way but without prices listed and I overheard a mom complaining she thought the cookie was too expensive or something. But she was eating it and enjoying it sooooo. I love going to a new cafe because I love a bev. I got two of their signature items (biscoff latte and apple peach iced tea) and then a blueberry matcha because I love a fruit matcha. Presentation of drinks were beautiful. I definitely recommend getting a layered drink. I was a little disappointed to see that the iced tea was just an apple tea bag but actually, it was delicious. All the drinks tasted great. I knocked a star off because the layout of the store is....not good. The register is right at the front of the store with only one small menu on display so people spent a lot of time at the counter and the congestion of the line curled awkwardly to the side or out the door. The pick up area is also right at the register and I could easily see someone coming in, grabbing a drink and leaving. It's way too easy to steal. They even have a little tray area at the back counter that would be perfect but they weren't using it. I also found that they were inconsistent with their pours...sometimes it was right to the top with foam catching the lid and sometimes it was like a whole finger down from the lid. read more

Initially I was a bit wary of the positive reviews here because they were giving BOGO free drink if you leave a review for their grand opening. However, the drinks ARE actually very good (I wrote this review after the deal). The biscoff latte comes with some crumbled biscoff on top giving it a nice texture. The cream top makes the drink amazingly creamy and the the drink is definitely on the sweeter side and tastes like biting into an actual biscoff cookie - they really hit the nail on the head in terms of the flavor. We also got the black sesame oat latte which I enjoyed because it was less sweet and the black sesame flavor was delicious without overpowering the latte. Came here on a weekend evening and there was steady stream of people. There were people who were just chit chatting, families that came in with little kids, and individuals who were looking to study. Service - when I come to a coffeeshop I usually get a coffee but was feeling otherwise today. The barista was super nice in answering my questions and i LOVED that she put everything into her words and her opinions. It made me feel like she really knew the products and cared for me as a consumer. Environment - there was plenty of parking outside in the larger plaza. Upon entering, you can see a menu to the right with some pictures. There is a case of baked goods in case you get the munchies or want something to go with your drink. There are about 5-6 tables on the left side with chairs. May be a good study spot for the youngins but I think it feels more of a place to just hang out and chit chat with your friends - which I did! Super comfy here. Drinks - Milk tea - super good base; reminds me of the classic milk tea from 25 years ago where no one got super fancy yet. Basic and classic if you ask me. - Jasmine peach green tea - super delicious and refreshing. I think this is a good non-milk drink if you want to sip on something. - Biscoff latte - a regular vanilla latte with biscoff cream on top. Super yummy and well done. A good coffee to get. Wowowow, as a blueberry matcha enthusiast, what can I say. This place was bomb.com. My boyfriend found this place and wanted to try as it had both our favorite matcha (ube and blueberry). Not only was it good but it was affordable at $6.50 per drink. They offer oat or almond milk for milk alternatives and I got oat. I don't believe they charge for alternatives either from what I noticed which is a plus. Most other places that sell matcha are so much more expensive and often come to around $8/9 a drink. It is also one of the creamiest blueberry matcha I've had! I also got the jalapeno croissant but unfortunately don't think the price was worth it ($4.50). The cashier did inform me it was just the jalapeno and cheese on top and nothing else inside it, but I got it anyways since I was hungryyy. I think it's more reasonable to price it at maybe $2. It was warmed up for me at least! We didn't have to wait too long for our drinks to come out either, probably 5 min. We are very likely to come back. I would probably come here to study too.
