Da Vien is expanding a lot and I didn't even realize they opened a satellite spot at Stanton! This location took over an older building and has a drive through-thu window. Luckily Da Vien interior is nicely modernized , bright, clean and spacious -- so very inviting. I stopped by on a Sunday around 4 PM and it was packed with people hanging out and enjoying their drinks, which says a lot about how popular it already is. Despite the crowd, the vibe was relatively low noise level. I ordered the "popular item" marble drip latte and it was really tasty--smooth, refreshing, and still maintained a strong coffee flavor. This used to be my favorite matcha place of all time. Not sure what happened, but they have since changed their matcha recipe or the way they make it, because it tastes completely different now. Their ube matcha was my absolute favorite but any time I order it now it tastes super off. Also they recently upped the prices of their ham and Swiss croissants which was one of my favorite reasons for going there was getting a decent sized croissant for under $4. Now it's up to $5. I fear they're worried too much about expanding to more locations and becoming a popular chain rather than the quality of their matcha or drinks anymore. read more

This used to be a Lee's Sandwich so it's huge inside with a drive thru. The drive thru is poorly designed as it wraps around the building which makes it hard for parking. The spaces are on one side of the drive thru making it hard to reverse out of the spots. As you exit, you are adjacent to the drive thru line and if you got a vehicle that sticks out wide, you're stuck. I would recommend to not park in their lot and park in the outer lot to walk to the front entrance. This location doesn't serve Pandan drinks. The restroom requires a key. Next to each table and sitting area has an electrical outlet. Even the center couch has it underneath. I'm picky with my coconut blended coffee and they are still my top two places that make it to my liking. The coconut is perfectly ice blended and mixed with the coffee and topped with coconut flakes. Loved the strong creaminess and the consistent texture. Brown sugar fresh milk is the only non caffeinated drink. read more

First time at this location! Da Vien has been opening lots of locations lately, and it was about time given how crowded even their new locations are. GETTING HERE AND PARKING: No issues with parking WHAT I ORDERED: Strawberry cream matcha THE DRINK: Honestly, the matcha was okay. They recently switched to ceremonial grade matcha, but I kinda can't tell a difference. It definitely wasn't at a level you might expect at a smaller coffee/matcha shop, but it's not bad and the ratio was pretty good. The strawberry cream, however, was fantastic! I've had other drinks in the past with other creams, and this probably is the best one along with the ube and sesame. I'd skip on the banana, which doesn't really compare to other places that do it. Never heard of this place before. But our friend picked us up drinks from here and it was SO good! We got a Marble Drip which is less strong than a Vietnamese Coffee cause I believe they put cream or milk in it. It was SO good!! It wasn't as sweet as a regular Vietnamese coffee. I love this location because it's close to the freeway and has a drive thru! The drive thru can get quite busy some days so it's best to download the app and order for pick up. You also get points for ordering on the app and see deals if any are available. Ordered the einspanner latte today and it was good! I went here today and it was crowded. But not so crowded that it becomes a crowd crush. The counter was busy with orders and such. I was able to use one of the service machines to fill out my order. It was easy and simple. This one guy, I'm guessing it was the manager, was kind enough to inform two women that they had arrived to the wrong location to pick up their drinks. Their drinks were actually at the Garden Grove location. He was quick to point that out to them without any kind of judgement in front of lots of people. I really appreciated that he didn't do that. I can resonate with those two women because as a 20-year-old woman with CPTSD, I have memory gaps that have caused a lot of issues, such as struggling to remember some addresses of places. This was my first time at Da Vien. Ordered egg crème coffee at the lowest amount of sugar, 30%. It was still pretty sweet, but tasty like a custard desert. Nice extensive menu, however no calories listed. For health conscious individuals, it would be appreciated to offer healthy sweetener alternatives like Stevia, Monkfruit, agave, etc.., or offer no sugar. I like this location more than their other location! It's still a busy location, but there's way more seating and the interior is bright so it feels more open. It's still not as packed compared to many other places in Orange County. I really liked this spot. It was also nice that there was the drive thru option and when you get inside you can order on a kiosk as well it has images and prices as well as if you want to make it less sweet or add anything. My grandma doesn't like too strong of coffee and usually orders bac xiu which is like Vietnamese coffee but with more milk-- so basically a latte. From my understanding of the menu, I believed that their Marble Latte would be what my grandma would enjoy. And, it was quite sweet and milky. But in a way that was too much-- as there was not a hint of coffee taste in it. For the price it was, I wish there was a little more oomph of any other flavor besides sweet. I don't think she enjoyed it because she didn't even finish it on the drive back to SD and when she brought it home it remained on the counter. My brother had the Pure Black Coffee. It looked strong and not watery. They gave a lot of ice with it, and even when it melted it still had that bold coffee taste. I ordered the Ube Cream Vietnamese Coffee. Luckily I caught the difference before paying, they have one called Ube Latte, which is much thinner and milky. And the Ube Cream, has the bold Vietnamese coffee as the base. The Ube Cream has a slight vanilla flavor with a hint of coconut as well. Which is why I wanted this particular drink! It is so good and I recommend sipping it over drinking it with a straw so that you get the deliciousness in every sip. Strong & Sweet, perfectly balanced Vietnamese Coffee with a Ube Coconut Cold Foam...this is one I highly recommend ordering! My brother also would usually get their Black Sesame Cream Vietnamese Coffee! Would recommend this as well. The drinks are a bit higher in price compared to your usual coffee shop, but they make the drinks very well. Love Da Vien's egg coffee, but it is sweet! I usually like a 50-70% sweetness at boba shops, and I do enjoy a good viet coffee. Here, I recommend 30% on the egg coffee because of the egg cream and viet coffee combo. TLDR: Delicious coffee, good vibes, terrible service I cannot say enough about how delicious the coffees are here. The flavor is just amazing! The variety is also very good! I don't care for every single flavor but the ones I like are so good and the ones I don't, I can appreciate what they were trying to do. The set up is beautiful and feels like a studying space like Starbucks but brighter and less dim and depressing (which can be nice in the right mood but the brighter ambiance is highly appreciated). This place gets a 1 star though because the service is absolutely awful. I've been here half a dozen times and it never seems to get better. The most recent time there happened to be a buy-one, get-one free coffee deal and I ordered online and waited almost 40minutes, meanwhile I saw at least 6 people walk in and order the same drinks I did in person and leave after 2 minutes. I showed my receipt to 3 different employees and the first 2 just walked away and helped other people (who walked in after me) get their drinks. It wasn't until I showed my order to Ash, where she saw when my order was placed, and when it said it'd be ready, she ran to the back and in like 2 minutes I was given my order. Tried the brown sugar milk boba... it's delicious, but it really is just milk, brown sugar, and boba. The boba was like crystal boba, which I honestly enjoy, but it might surprise other people who expect tapioca. It's a bit sad for a non-caffeinated option, but I wasn't feeling tea. I used the kiosk, which is convenient. Just wish I could sign up for points AT the kiosk. A client recommended this spot as a good place to do remote work and since I was already in the area I decided to give it a shot. It's nice to see such a busy drive-thru coffee shop that isn't a Starbucks, their drive thru line was busy the whole time I was here from 2pm-9pm. Their parking lot is very big as well, plenty of parking in addition to WiFi, ultimately a great spot to do remote work/ studying. Plenty of college students, many of the UCI students were here. Plenty of seating inside and out. I ordered an Ube Matcha latte and it was probably one of the best Ube Matcha lattes I've ever had. Normally they're unbalanced but the one here at Da Vien was perfectly balanced but be warned it's on the sweeter side (I'm sure you can ask for light ube.) One concern I do have is the fact that there was a woman here that was literally tweaking and the staff did nothing about it. She ended up falling asleep in a chair inside and the staff did not bother to check on her to make sure she was even alive (definitely on drugs, she was tweaking outside then came inside, started tweaking some more, went to the bathroom, changed, and knocked out on a chair.) Other than that, the environment was great, music playing and plenty of outlets to charge too. I had the ube matcha and I'm honestly obsessed!!! Ube and matcha are my two favorite things in the world, so the fact that they combined them into one drink just made my day. The flavor is so unique -- you get the earthy richness from the matcha and that creamy, slightly nutty sweetness from the ube. One of the great parts of this location is that they have a drive thru. When I went there wasn't a long line so it's worth it if you're in a bit of a rush. I grabbed the banana latte. It was so good. Yesterday I came a little after 12pm. This is my second time coming to Da Viên, first time here in Stanton. When I went to GG, I got the Ube Matcha Latte. It was good but I felt it mostly tasted like Ube. I got the Coconut Matcha this time and thought it was really good since I like coconut water but definitely the matcha flavor wasn't strong. As time passed, it mixed together more I started to taste the matcha but it was really subtle. There were quite a few people in line when I ordered however the drinks were served quickly! I HIGHLY recommend to park in the external parking lot across from the store rather the ones next to the drive thru.
