We were leaving Huntington Beach looking for a drive-thru coffee spot, and this popped up on Google. The vibe is trendy and modern with a fun Vietnamese-inspired coffee and tea menu. Since it was our first time, we really didn't know what to order, they had a drink called the Einspanner Cream Coffee. It's einspanner cream, cocoa powder topped over bold Vietnamese iced coffee and also had the peach tea. The coffee was perfect, strong, creamy, not overly sweet, with just the right touch of sweetness at the top. The peach tea was refreshing and came with fresh peaches inside. Service was quick too. We actually pulled up once, realized we needed a minute to decide, came back around, and our drinks still came out fast. Drive-thru boba places are rare as most places are walk-in. This location is both a drive thru and a walk-in. I tried Da Vien a few months back, but haven't had the opportunity to return back until a few days ago. I remembered this location used to be a Lee's Sandwich located before it got renovated into Da Vien Coffee. I believe Da Vien is a Vietnamese chain, but I was not interested in trying their Vietnamese coffee since there are other numerous locations that offer Vietnamese coffee. Hence, I decided to try their other drinks to see if they could replicate the authentic Chinese/Taiwanese feeling. This time, I ordered the Strawberry Milk Matcha and the Brown Sugar Fresh Milk. My first attempt with the Brown Sugar Fresh Milk I had a complete brain freeze since it completely remind me of authentic boba milk tea from Taiwan! On the other hand, the matcha was alright - I would skip it next time. The wait time at the drive-thru was a little longer than I would like (20+ minutes). This was during peak time with multiple cars in line. Nevertheless, paying for the drinks and then getting the drinks was a quick 2-3 minutes. Da Vien is expanding a lot and I didn't even realize they opened a satellite spot at Stanton! This location took over an older building and has a drive through-thu window. Luckily Da Vien interior is nicely modernized , bright, clean and spacious -- so very inviting. I stopped by on a Sunday around 4 PM and it was packed with people hanging out and enjoying their drinks, which says a lot about how popular it already is. Despite the crowd, the vibe was relatively low noise level. I ordered the "popular item" marble drip latte and it was really tasty--smooth, refreshing, and still maintained a strong coffee flavor. This used to be a Lee's Sandwich so it's huge inside with a drive thru. The drive thru is poorly designed as it wraps around the building which makes it hard for parking. The spaces are on one side of the drive thru making it hard to reverse out of the spots. As you exit, you are adjacent to the drive thru line and if you got a vehicle that sticks out wide, you're stuck. I would recommend to not park in their lot and park in the outer lot to walk to the front entrance. This location doesn't serve Pandan drinks. The restroom requires a key. Next to each table and sitting area has an electrical outlet. Even the center couch has it underneath. I'm picky with my coconut blended coffee and they are still my top two places that make it to my liking. The coconut is perfectly ice blended and mixed with the coffee and topped with coconut flakes. Loved the strong creaminess and the consistent texture. Brown sugar fresh milk is the only non caffeinated drink. read more

First time at this location! Da Vien has been opening lots of locations lately, and it was about time given how crowded even their new locations are. GETTING HERE AND PARKING: No issues with parking WHAT I ORDERED: Strawberry cream matcha THE DRINK: Honestly, the matcha was okay. They recently switched to ceremonial grade matcha, but I kinda can't tell a difference. It definitely wasn't at a level you might expect at a smaller coffee/matcha shop, but it's not bad and the ratio was pretty good. The strawberry cream, however, was fantastic! I've had other drinks in the past with other creams, and this probably is the best one along with the ube and sesame. I'd skip on the banana, which doesn't really compare to other places that do it. Overall though, I like their egg coffee the best. SERVICE: Good service, drinks come out quick. You can order at a kiosk too. VIBES: Good for working/studying. Definitely more spacious than the Garden Grove and Little Saigon locations. I've been to almost all Da Vien locations & I have to say their Stanton location is one of my faves! Very spacious & aesthetic with abundant seating and parking. My friends and I usually come here to work/study & haven't found an issue with grabbing a table on a weekday. Their drinks can be a hit or miss with the ratio of matcha/coffee base to cream top/flavor. Also more on the artificial side but the taste doesn't bother me. My go-to drinks are their banana matcha, ube matcha, and banana coffee! This place was very yummy! The coffee shop was very clean and the staff were very friendly, giving us recommendations since it was our first time there. I love this location because it's close to the freeway and has a drive thru! The drive thru can get quite busy some days so it's best to download the app and order for pick up. You also get points for ordering on the app and see deals if any are available. Ordered the einspanner latte today and it was good! Not exactly sure what einspanner is but it was a new item so I tried it. I usually order the marble drip, it's my absolute favorite! Not too strong on coffee just the perfect amount. The drink I had gotten was the strawberry foam oat matcha. I do not recommend the drink it was overly sweet and tasted like costco frosting after the foam was mixed in with the drink. You aren't able to taste the matcha at all in the drink. The worker also was not great at customer service I was honestly confused after I paid if I pull to the next window or what was going on. I like this location more than their other location! It's still a busy location, but there's way more seating and the interior is bright so it feels more open. It's still not as packed compared to many other places in Orange County. I really liked this spot. It was also nice that there was the drive thru option and when you get inside you can order on a kiosk as well it has images and prices as well as if you want to make it less sweet or add anything. My grandma doesn't like too strong of coffee and usually orders bac xiu which is like Vietnamese coffee but with more milk-- so basically a latte. From my understanding of the menu, I believed that their Marble Latte would be what my grandma would enjoy. And, it was quite sweet and milky. But in a way that was too much-- as there was not a hint of coffee taste in it. For the price it was, I wish there was a little more oomph of any other flavor besides sweet. I don't think she enjoyed it because she didn't even finish it on the drive back to SD and when she brought it home it remained on the counter. My brother had the Pure Black Coffee. It looked strong and not watery. They gave a lot of ice with it, and even when it melted it still had that bold coffee taste. I ordered the Ube Cream Vietnamese Coffee. Luckily I caught the difference before paying, they have one called Ube Latte, which is much thinner and milky. And the Ube Cream, has the bold Vietnamese coffee as the base. The Ube Cream has a slight vanilla flavor with a hint of coconut as well. Which is why I wanted this particular drink! It is so good and I recommend sipping it over drinking it with a straw so that you get the deliciousness in every sip. Strong & Sweet, perfectly balanced Vietnamese Coffee with a Ube Coconut Cold Foam...this is one I highly recommend ordering! My brother also would usually get their Black Sesame Cream Vietnamese Coffee! Would recommend this as well. The drinks are a bit higher in price compared to your usual coffee shop, but they make the drinks very well. Visited this cafe for the first time after hearing so much about it. I ordered 2 drinks: the coconut matcha and banana matcha for $13 which I thought was a really good price compared to NorCal. The banana pudding is so yummy while the coconut is super refreshing. They use nugget ice here so I love that I can munch on the ice for fun. I went here today and it was crowded. But not so crowded that it becomes a crowd crush. The counter was busy with orders and such. I was able to use one of the service machines to fill out my order. It was easy and simple. This one guy, I'm guessing it was the manager, was kind enough to inform two women that they had arrived to the wrong location to pick up their drinks. Their drinks were actually at the Garden Grove location. He was quick to point that out to them without any kind of judgement in front of lots of people. I really appreciated that he didn't do that. I can resonate with those two women because as a 20-year-old woman with CPTSD, I have memory gaps that have caused a lot of issues, such as struggling to remember some addresses of places. A client recommended this spot as a good place to do remote work and since I was already in the area I decided to give it a shot. It's nice to see such a busy drive-thru coffee shop that isn't a Starbucks, their drive thru line was busy the whole time I was here from 2pm-9pm. Their parking lot is very big as well, plenty of parking in addition to WiFi, ultimately a great spot to do remote work/ studying. Plenty of college students, many of the UCI students were here. Plenty of seating inside and out. I ordered an Ube Matcha latte and it was probably one of the best Ube Matcha lattes I've ever had. Normally they're unbalanced but the one here at Da Vien was perfectly balanced but be warned it's on the sweeter side (I'm sure you can ask for light ube.) One concern I do have is the fact that there was a woman here that was literally tweaking and the staff did nothing about it. She ended up falling asleep in a chair inside and the staff did not bother to check on her to make sure she was even alive (definitely on drugs, she was tweaking outside then came inside, started tweaking some more, went to the bathroom, changed, and knocked out on a chair.) Other than that, the environment was great, music playing and plenty of outlets to charge too. I had the ube matcha and I'm honestly obsessed!!! Ube and matcha are my two favorite things in the world, so the fact that they combined them into one drink just made my day. The flavor is so unique -- you get the earthy richness from the matcha and that creamy, slightly nutty sweetness from the ube. It is a little on the sweeter side, but I have a serious sweet tooth so I didn't mind it at all. 11/10. This is the second time I visit Da Vien and the first time I visit this location. I came during the week at 8am and the line was quick and I was able to get my coffee within 5-10 minutes. It's so nice inside. There's lots of seating and many people set up to stay a couple hours. They offer free wifi however I didn't see if there were outlets. One of the great parts of this location is that they have a drive thru. When I went there wasn't a long line so it's worth it if you're in a bit of a rush. I grabbed the banana latte. It was so good. Really excited to find Da Vien opened a Stanton location! I really, really love their drinks, but they're so far away that going there is rare. I went on grand opening day on Saturday, came really early because I wanted the aesthetic tumbler they were giving away lol. Was it worth it? Ehhhhhhhhhhh, but I was just doing errands while waiting anyway. They cutoff the giveaway line at like 7:40am;; Interior design of the store is nice! Trendy and chic.
