I feel bad cheating on my usual coffee shop but they focus mostly on espresso based drinks. This place does too but also serve coffee. I love pour over coffee but most shops are shying away due to the time they take. Here & There not only embraces it but serves it in a beautiful presentation! The passion they have reminds me Portola when they first opened. I hope they don't stray away from the passion. I loved my Panama coffee bean pour over and felt very relaxed at their comfortable counter seat. Not ready to leave I followed up with a delicious malabar herbal tea. I came by around 7am and was surprised to see this place open for business. I ordered a soft and flakey croissant and a matcha unsweetened. It was yummy, but pricey. I was very comfortable sitting and working at the bar until my laptop ran out of juice. Someone helped me with charging it but the chord had to be plugged in on their side of the bar. My husband and I stumbled upon this place because we were checking out Rodeo 39. It was later in the day but it was a very busy spot and they had delicious looking cookies so we decided to try it out. I had ordered a s'mores-esq drink which was delicious but I believe seasonal and my husband had ordered a lavender latte. They had accidentally made my husband a lavender matcha. We are not matcha people BUT this changed me. They of course made the correct drink and offered us the matcha on the house. At first my husband said no thank you cause again, not matcha people BUT last minute changed his mind and I am so glad he did! We learned they use ceremonial matcha (I didn't know the difference) but I've tried other matcha and you can definitely taste the difference. To me, matcha tastes super grassy and it's just not my thing but I feel like this matcha just complimented the lavender flavoring and every time I took a sip I was amazed at how great it tasted. The new-ish coffee/tea shop at Rodeo 39 is a solid addition to the cafe lineup! Here&There replaces the old coffee shop right at the front of Rodeo39. I go in the mornings and parking is ample (although the traffic getting in could be rough). They have baked goods available along with a pretty good selection of different cafe drinks that have hit most modern coffee shops. I've gotten a few drinks here and think they're all solid. For the iced matcha latte, I like how they are very upfront about the ceremonial grade of matcha that they use. I think it's solid, and they have both oat and almond milk options to choose from. Not too earthy and a little nutty at least to me. (I last paid around $7 for this.) For the yuzu matcha tonic, they use a tonic that isn't super carbonated and not overly sweet. You can also let them know to use less syrup which also helps to make this less sweet. For the cold brew latte, I think the coffee is pretty smooth and not too bitter. I also like the almond milk they use that it doesn't overpower the drink. (I last paid around $5.50 for this.) Pricing is pretty on average with the cafes around here. I haven't tried any of the pastries so can't comment on these selections, but they seemed pretty varied. Service is always super solid and helpful as well. read more

Located front-and-center at Rodeo 39, Here & There is a great coffee place with chill vibes! Yelp recommended this to me on a recent search for local coffee spots. Parking was no problem for me, but I went in the morning on a week day. I cannot speak for weekend parking! But the parking lot is a good size, so there should be plenty of spaces. While most of the food hall businesses were not yet open for the day, Here & There was and is the first thing you see when you walk up. Staff was friendly, and I ordered the strawberry matcha as recommended. I also grabbed a delicious looking chocolate chip cookie. I generally like the idea of a strawberry matcha more than I end up liking the drink, but this was the first one I have LOVED! The strawberry part actually tastes like real strawberry, not syrup. It reminds me of the "agua de fresa con leche", if you like agua fresca. The matcha was also nice and not overpowered by the strawberry. This will be a repeat for me! The cookie was also a standout! Fortunately, my GF joined took me here, & she is very astute on the topic of coffee. She glanced at the menu & she ordered the Spanish Shakerato. I looked at the desc. on the menu, & I recognized the word "cinnamon." I don't know coffee, but I do know cinnamon. So I asked for a Spanish Whateverato too. The coffee came out promptly. I noticed the barista rendered surreal foam hearts in the foam on the coffee. Personally, I prefer an unadorned, smooth foam, but work of art foam is cool too. My favorite part of the experience was watching my GF drink her coffee. She sipped it, exhaled, & said the coffee tasted just fine. (I had to take her word for it because I only knew the cinnamon tasted good.) When she finished her cup, she smiled a wide sunshine bright, toothy smile. I don't frequent Rodeo 39 often at all but I saw that this new coffee shop replaced Coffee Dose so I had to try them out. Their menu looked quite interesting so I'm always a sucker to try flavors that you can't find anywhere else! Here's what I ordered: **Yuzu Espresso Tonic: I understand that yuzu is a very overpowering flavor but I should still be able to taste the espresso portion but I did not. Either the espresso prepared was very light or they put way too much yuzu flavoring inside. Don't bother ordering this unless you want a yuzu infused tonic water beverage. **NOLA: I honestly should have opted to go less sweet but since it was a signature item, I wanted to try it how normal people get it. I tasted little to no espresso and it was extremely sweet like a dessert beverage. I tasted the oat milk which was good but that was about it. I'm giving this spot 3-stars only because the girl working the front was great and my drinks came out fairly quickly. If you have a massive sweet tooth you may like this place but if you're a coffee enthusiast that isn't looking for a dessert beverage then this place is not for you. read more

You can't miss Here and There since their shop is right in front of the plaza. They have lots of pastries and drink options to choose from. I ordered the Vienna espresso, which was sweet and flavorful. My friend got the Yuzu tonic, and it was super strong. If you need a serious caffeine boost, that's the drink for you, but if you're not into bold flavors, I wouldn't recommend it. The lady taking our order mentioned that it has four espresso shots and made sure my friend was okay with that before finalizing, which was thoughtful. If you're looking for a quick and early coffee stop, this is a great spot. I'll definitely be back to try more drinks! read more

The NOLA tastes amazing. You can still taste the coffee. It defaults to oat milk and cannot be subbed with a different milk, but I didn't even taste a strong oat flavor. That drink is 5/5. It's very close to Blue Bottle's NOLA in taste. However, my #1 fave is still the iced latte NOLA from Blue Flame in HB. The service from the cashier was very nice. He recommended the NOLA and the ube matcha. He was patient, kind, and knowledgeable. The ube portion in the matcha reminded me of DaVien. I tasted the matcha on top before mixing it, and it had a nice strong matcha flavor. (I keep trying to like matcha, but I'm still partial to coffee drinks.) The atmosphere inside Rodeo39 is nice. You can get food at any of the eateries and come back to the front tables and grab some coffee as well. Price is a little steep, but they literally make the matcha using the whisk, ceramic bowl, etc. They took over the Coffee Dose location. They call your name when the order is ready, so I wish the girl who was doing that was a bit friendlier and made eye contact with you and said something nice at that point of contact, especially since it wasn't even that busy. I saw the customer who was before me ask if those were his drinks, and she was oblivious to him even asking because she wasn't making eye contact. read more

What a happy find! We were looking for a nearby coffee shop a few days ago while out and getting gas. We noticed that Coffee Dose was permanently closed at this location and that this coffee shop took its place. I wasn't in the mood to go there because Rodeo 39 is usually hard to park at, but I forgot that that wasn't even 9:00 yet and a lot of the businesses were not open. We walked up and low and behold was one of our favorite coffee shop owners, who keeps creating great coffee businesses and running off to make more. We were so happy to see him! I am not giving the coffee shop a five star just because he was there. I had such a delicious iced lavender matcha latte and now I want another. The quality of the drinks were so good. Steven kept commenting also that his iced vanilla latte was really good as well. We are hoping this one sticks around. This is the third coffee shop at this location in Rodeo 39. One of the gentlemen sitting nearby with his dog commented that this was the best one there so far in his opinion. I have to agree. We also got churro waffles and they were very good as well! I happened to be at Rodeo 39 waiting for a friend and decided to get a drink out of convenience since I was already here so I had no expectations. I ended up trying the strawberry matcha latte. I couldn't decide between the pistachio latte or the ube matcha but the cashier convinced me to get the strawberry matcha since she said it was their most popular drink. I actually really liked it because it's made with a strawberry purée which gave it a fresh sweetness (not too sweet). The matcha was good too, I believe they use ceremonial grade matcha. It did not taste watery at all which is my biggest pet peeve with matcha lattes. Overall, happy with my choice and love the convenience of it being at Rodeo 39. The only thing that I would've liked more is if they offered some sort of cream foam on top (either a strawberry or matcha foam would've been awesome). read more

I've tried almost everything on the menu, and I can confidently say that everything is incredibly good.
