First time at cortado in garden grove and very pleasantly surprised with how good the drinks are here! We got the plain latte and the biscoff latte (less sweet) , both with oat milk and they were so good! The beans were the long black med - dark and ot was so smooth. A lot of coffee shops have espresso that is kind of on the very bitter and sharp tasting side, but I feel like the lattes here still had that strong deep taste but was very smooth. I'm not the biggest coffee person but I would come here again for sure
I've officially been to all 3 branches of Cortado Coffee/Long Black Coffee! And I'm pleased to say this location had the best customer service! Shout-out to Linda and Sean for being very kind and helpful. I got an iced monkey mocha (my favorite drink to get, it's soooo good! Housemade banana syrup is delicious, not artificial tasting, it's perfection) and an einspanner, which is just as good as you'd think it would be. After I asked Sean what the must-try drinks are, he said the banana cream latte (I think I may have messed the name up?), the einspanner, and the biscoff drinks. Lots of tables to sit and chat or work. Can't wait for my next visit!!!
Very nice store layout and a lot of seating. I got an Ube latte, i thought it was alright. I can't really taste the ube though. The employees were very nice and the drink came out in a timely manner (very quick haha).
I've been meaning to write a review for quite a while. Finally doing it. Cortado Coffee in Garden Grove (Orange County) is owned by Angie Chun (current owner of Long Black Coffee in Fountain Valley). For those who may not know or remember, Angie used to run Coffee Code in Buena Park for years, and she's also a former owner of another coffee shop, Flat White in Cypress. And let's not forget the 2015 Latte Art Champion (1st place). Yesterday, I've decided to visit Cortado at least one more time. I ordered myself an ice mocha, and the drink was amazing. It was actually made by Angie herself. She never failed me once. This is why I do business with someone who really knows how to run a coffee shop and have a lot of experience. Staff here are very helpful. I think one of them knew exactly who I was. Funny how things goes in life. Overall.... 5 stars for their coffee, the staff, coffee shop, and Angie!!!
Super delicious lattes!! I got the banana cloud latte and was super impressed! The cream top was yummy and the banana taste wasn't too overwhelming. The coffee itself tasted good and was the perfect intensity.
Got the biscoff and the coffee didn't even taste like biscoff. It tasted more like a bitter espresso which is weird considering how light it looks. Overall, wouldn't come back again.
Came in early morning 9am. Not so busy crowds. Staff is nice and the busy atmosphere really showcased their diligence. I'm regular here and I'm reviewing their seasonal drink: Maple Pumpkin Pie Latte. It's as sweet as it should be. Maple syrup is nice balanced and I can definitely taste the cinnamon and pumpkin puree. I can definitely enjoy this drink during my stay here.
Rainy day called for a hot latte. Went to Cortado. Nice shop. Plenty of parking. Great service. House made vanilla syrup. Good vanilla latte. Beans had a nice fruity flavor. Overall pretty balanced. Can't wait to go back and try more drinks
I'm always excited to support and try new coffee shops, especially local ones. Cortado Coffee is located in an older plaza, and the inside has that same-same coffee/boba shop aesthetic -- clean, open spaced , and comfortable. I was really hoping the coffee would stand out, but unfortunately it was just okay for me. Not bad, just a bit underwhelming on the taste compared to what I expected. The staff were okay not engaging or overly friendly or anything bad but still would had been nice to see the staff more upbeat.
My friend and I came to this coffee shop, but unfortunately, the coffee wasn't good and had a nasty aftertaste. We were really disappointed

The baristas were very sweet and gave me great recommendations on what to get! Biscoff cookie butter latte 5/5 the coffee was soo yummy. The roasted beans were not too bitter and sour. Great quality of beans here! I really enjoyed the coffee flavors of the biscoff. Definitely will be coming back to order this drink again Strawberry matcha latte 4/5 pretty yummy! Matcha was smooth and it was not powdery. Nothing out of the ordinary for a strawberry matcha
I've been to Long Black coffee and I noticed they had the same menu. It took me a while to realize that they're the same branch (?). Same beans on same, same menu, same style. Different city. Parking is small. The inside was quiet and clean. The baristas were very quiet and were emotionless, except when speaking towards each other. It took a few minutes for them to take our order. We ordered a pistachio, their latte of the month, and a pour over coffee. We also ordered a ham and cheese. We finished eating our pastry. And by then, our drinks were finally ready. We noticed that they had to remake the pour over coffee for some odd reason. The pistachio is a creamy, but didn't have hints of pistachio. The Valentine's Day special was good and the pour over was also good. We have the same beans at home that we've purchased from Long Black Coffee, so it was nice to have it. Overall, I wouldn't say it was amazing. I'd rather go back to Long Black Coffee for service and drinks.
Cortado Coffee was actually not part of our itinerary. We wanted to try the dim sum and banh beo place right next door but, we were waiting for 2 YELPIES to arrive to join us so we went here first too kill time... MATCHA EINSPANNER: 9/10 Rich, creamy and not sweet. Pure matcha goodness! HAZELNUT MOCHA LATTE: 10/10 Probably their most popular drink. It's strong, rich and creamy. AMBIANCE: Quite a lot of people inside and outside the store so it's legit good ;) KEEP IT UP CORTADO COFFEE!!!

One of my favorite Korean coffee cafe in GG. Same owner as Long Black in FV, so you know the quality and flavor is all there. Their menu is a little different compared to Long Black, but I always get the Einspanner and it tastes just the same and delicious. I love their cream top. I honestly think it's the best in town. I had the Biscoff one before too and it's also very delicious! It's always busy in the morning which is good. The owner did a good job opening at this location and plaza. Lots of traffic going on here. Came here the other day w/ my aunt and it was our first time having the drinks for here. I like how they have the coffee in glass cups rather than the plastic ones. It's a nice aesthetic and it feels good just looking at it. Definitely come thru if you haven't been yet. read more

the service was fine and the drinks didn't take too long to come out. parking's not too bad. the biscoff cookie butter latte with einspanner cream was amazing. the coffee and biscoff flavors were very well balanced. had a sip of the matcha but thought it was just okay. will be back for the biscoff latte if i'm back in the area! read more

Came by here on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy. After having my coffee I could tell why. The banana cloud was amazing. I have been craving it for days, since having it for the first time. The espresso is bold and not bitter the banana foam was light and not overly sweet. My nephew tried the biscoff latte which was also really great. I like how balance their drinks are. Custome service and ambiance are great. Definitely recommend stopping here. read more
Came here to try their einspanner but for whatever reason this morning ended up getting their coffee cream latte as soon as my eyes panned to it on the menu. Glad I did. They will ask if you want your coffee for here or to go. Had a few hours to get some work done and enjoyed the soft music and drink in a nice ceramic black cup, friendly staff and decent tables. Highly recommend - looking forward to trying their other drinks. I think their coffee is solid. read more
I was randomly in Garden Grove for a few hours and needed a coffee stop. I had zero idea of where to go, so when found this place on Yelp, I liked what I saw and gave it a shot. So glad I did! Sometimes coffee shops inside little strip malls don't always pan out, but this was one of the better lattes I've had in a while. My drink is always simple, iced oat milk latte with honey and a triple shot, and this one was on point. I was impressed with the oat milk and the perfect blend with the honey they provided. There was plenty of space inside for anyone who wanted to hang out or open their laptop for work. The Baristas were friendly and I was in and out in a matter of seven minutes. Parking wasn't a problem either. Considering I had no expectation going in, I left very happy, and if I'm ever in that area again, I would definitely go back. The strip mall itself isn't that appealing, but don't let the looks fool you, this was a good coffee shop. read more

We came on New Year's Day and it was busy! We got the coffee cream latte topped with housemade coffee cream. Very few places offer Einsspanner which is Viennese coffee made with espresso and topped with cream. I had it every day in Austria. At Cortado, it's topped with hazelnut cream. Both drinks were delicious, bold and strong. They have a great selection of pastries too. read more
Came here yesterday after not coming for a while. My daughter ordered a blueberry matcha latte and I ordered a biscoff cookie butter einspanner . We both loved our drinks. I also ordered a ham and cheese jalapeno croissant. That was very tasty , I enjoyed how the cheese and ham was inside the croissant and it was also nice and toasty. This place is so nice and has a lot of seating and service is great. Definitely one of my favorites coffee places. read more
A cozy coffee shop with modern minimalistic interior design and ample seating for those wanting to enjoy their coffee in house. There is upbeat music being lightly played in the background. The staff is nice and fast with their service. This is a busy establishment, but they keep up with the demand. I ordered the hot Einspänner latte, which has house-made hazelnut cream. Decent coffee. First time here and I got vanilla latte. Coffee was strong and not sweet. Can't really taste the vanilla flavor though. Will come back to try other types of coffee. The place simple modern decor. Fast service. read more
Friendly service. The barista was able to give solid recommendations. My friend tried the pistachio cream and I tried the matcha einspanner. We both enjoyed our drinks. Chill and minimalist vibes. Easy listening / hip hop / R&B / pop music was playing. My friend and I liked how it wasn't super packed like how other places are and I hope it stays that way. I think I found my new regular study / work café. There is plenty of seating and outlets. read more

I've been to their sister shop Long Black a few months ago and thought I should also try Cortado. I was greeted as I entered and the cafe was clean and bright. I was debating between the cookie butter latte or the eispanner but ultimately chose the first and added the cream just for extra richness. You could see the staff brewing and crafting each drink to order and they also had a case with pastries, which I'll have to try next time. My drink was ready in a few mins and I am so glad I added the cream, it was thick and smooth...a great add on to any drink! I could taste the subtle flavor of cookie butter and the latte was delicate and pleasant, not bitter at all. It was a very positive experience at Cortado and I'll be back to try other items! read more

I decided to take my mom here for a quick caffeine stop, and we both ended up really enjoying our drinks. My mom ordered a Biscoff coffee drink, and I got the matcha latte. What I liked most was that neither drink was overly sweet. I also appreciated being able to customize the sweetness level to my preference. The service was very fast, straightforward, and friendly, which made the whole experience really smooth. I would honestly come back just for the matcha latte alone, and next time I'll probably try the Biscoff drink too because my mom is actually pretty picky with her coffee, so the fact that she really liked it says a lot. Overall, the quality of the drinks and service was really good, and I'd definitely come back again. read more
Great spot for good quality coffee! I come here quite frequently for my caffeine intake before work and their coffee has consistently been great. Servers are always very friendly and welcoming and the interior is minimalistic and has a cozy and spacious environment to sit and get some work done. My first time here I had tried their mango cream cold brew and thought it was just okay since the cream wasn't too strong in the mango flavor but had a good amount of sweetness to it. The cold brew itself was pretty smooth and light. I've been more consistently enjoying their Dirty London Fog since I love the flavor of Earl grey and it also comes with oat milk, though I would prefer it less sweet. I also enjoy their Oksusu Corn Latte which also comes with oat milk but also a sweet corn cream that tastes really good, however there is a slight graininess in the drink. Their Cortado is served hot and is really smooth and creamy which I enjoy, but for an iced drink my favorite has been their tonic espresso which is so refreshing and has a good amount of sweetness. I also love their Madagascar Vanilla latte for a good sweetened latte, but it comes a bit too sweet for me so would request it less sweet. This sister shop to Long Black is a great stop for your morning coffee or place to get work done. They also serve a variety of different pastries and their coffee is smooth and consistent. read more

Some tables accommodated up to a party of 6 ** Service: drinks came out I would say within a few minutes (there was only one party who ordered before us) ** Food: assorted pastries for purchase displayed out in the front but opted out this time. They also have a variety of "specialty" drinks in addition to your coffee menu classics. My party and I got a cappuccino and einspanner. Cappuccino was smooth, not acidic at all. Einspanner was too much cream to coffee ratio imo-- it was like 1/3 of the drink. The cream was smooth and lightly sweetened but preferred to have more coffee to balance out the sweetness more. The sweet cream was a bit too forward even after thoroughly mixing the drink. read more

Ok, I don't really give 5 stars but when I do, it's really good! This spot is on top of our coffee must haves but I wished it was closer to home. We love their roast and we definitely go back when we can. It's usually Packed each time I've gone and i can taste why! I've tried their corn latte recently and enjoyed it a lot. My husband is obsessed with the monkey latte! The place is a decent size has about 10 tables and a clean restroom when I went in. It's in a pretty decent size plaza but lots of businesses that shares the parking so it's not that easy to find parking. I've just been lucky each time I went. But that won't stop me! I'll definitely be back! read more

Coffee run with my sisters. I ordered the double matcha and we also tried the strawberry matcha and one of the coffee. Overall very solid. Good space. They were busy but service was quick. Parking easy in the morning. Casual. Indoor seating. Please come and create your own adventure. read more
Stopped by to try their matcha eispanner and thought it was pretty good! The cream top was very delicious and not too sweet. The Matcha latte itself was OK because the powder was a bit...well powdery and wasn't the best quality matcha. However because of the cream top it made for a still pretty good drink! Service was super quick and staff is very friendly! There is also a lot of seating inside. read more

Came here while on a Disney trip to so Cal, I'm a coffee girl and found this place on yelp while looking at local coffee near my airbnb Service was fast. It was a quiet place for people to stop and work on homework. I got their traditional EINSPÄNNER and it was 10/10!! Perfect blend of coffee and creamy! I wanted to try the matcha but I needed the coffee ! Next time I will definitely try a different drink and probably still get the EINSPÄNNER two is better than one. read more
