Came back to try the peach matcha latte this time. Unfortunately, the flavor profile wasn't my favorite, it has a more distinct matcha taste than I personally prefer. I also didn't taste much peach. If you're coming here, I'd stick with the coffee. Or, if you want to try the matcha, I'd recommend getting it with a cream topping to help balance and cover some of the stronger matcha flavor. Still a cute spot, but the plain matcha wasn't a favorite for me!
We were in the area and stopped by due to the good ratings. I ordered the strawberry matcha and a slice of the banana coffee bread (which I couldn't get a good picture of because my gf took a bite out of it immediately) and both were super tasty. The strawberry matcha was unlike any other ones I have tried, reminded me of the agua de fresa they sell at Mexican restaurants, it was incredibly refreshing and delicious. The girl who attended was kind, attentive, and friendly; I immediately felt welcome. The place itself is open and bright, there's a pretty cool seating area in the middle. This is a cool little spot I recommend checking out; I want to try their corn matcha next.
Cute little coffee and matcha spot tucked in a small lot with Orange Grill, just look at how cute their logo is. Came here on a Saturday morning to get my weekend matcha fix and was not disappointed! They even have a photo machine that prints in black and white~ There's not a lot of parking spaces, but it does seem like people pick up and leave, so be patient if the lot is full, a spot should open up~ This is what we ordered this time. Hello Kitty Latte: Strawberry Latte with Strawberry Cream Top -the name intrigued me! had a couple of sips and def on the sweeter side for me. Peach Matcha -first time seeing a matcha spot offer it without a cream top! i didn't feel like having a cream top with my matcha so this was great. light, smooth and refreshing matcha! Strawberry Jam Cookie -I liked how thick and chewy the cookie was! Perfect for strawberry lovers like me~ Croissant Sandwich -Basically just a ham & cheese croissant. Good but nothing too special They have limited savory pastry options and offer more sweet options, so just keep that in mind! There's a bunch of other matcha and coffee drinks I'd like to come back and try the next time I'm here.
This place exceeded my expectations! It's literally dog themed, what more could I ask for?! I couldn't resist & ended up buying a little doggy popsocket from here! They have a great coffee & matcha menu. I tried their birthday special, which was so cute & surprisingly refreshing! It had a peach-lemonade type base topped with matcha cream. Such a random combo, but it worked! My friends got the Sweet Cream Corn Latte & Lotus Latte, both were amazing. You could still taste the strong coffee, but the sweetness & cream balanced everything out nicely. The space is also great for studying or hanging out, with plenty of seating + outlets. OH, and they have a FREE photo booth inside!! Definitely coming back!
One of the cutest cafes I've been to in a while! Ssum oozes intentionality and whimsy from the moment you walk in. Adorable decore, a (FREE) photobooth, and the yummiest menu! I got their seasonal Hodu Birthday Matcha (only available for the month of August) which was a peach yogurt base with a matcha cream top and SPRINKLES! They also decorated the cup with little jewel stickers and a celebratory edition of their classic logo. It was extra in all the best ways! Super cute and refreshing.
3.8 stars. Really small shared parking lot near the laundromat. Seating is not optimal for studying or working. The theme is really cute and gives a similar vibe to harucake in Ktown minus the cakes. There's even a thermal photobooth too. Some pastries in the front. I ordered a yuzu bianca which should've been mixed and drunken with a straw. I was not aware. It was very subtly flavored with sipping but not realizing there was a bunch of the yuzu puree at the bottom. By the time I got to the middle of my drink, the yuzu was too much. It was like spoons of the citron yuzu from the store down at the bottom. I couldn't salvage it with adding my own espresso and milk. The drink took some time. There's a number of customers who swing by and order for to-go. Hope I can try a different drink at another time later and not have trouble with parking.
Got to visit again and tried their sweet corn latte--GET THIS!! Loved that it was layered drink, it was a nice balance of espresso and corn.

I specifically had the matcha yuzu tonic and it was quite refreshing (a tiny nitpick but wished there was more fizz, but not a dealbreaker at all). New Orleans latte was pretty solid; smooth and had balanced sweetness. Pretty much docked a star mainly because of the service. Young lady at the cashier just straight-faced stared at me while I was looking at the menu and was waiting for me to speak lol. No "let me know if you have any questions" or even a simple greeting. Small cafe interior. I visited on a Sunday at around 11 am and there were a couple available parking spaces in the lot at the time (parking might be more troublesome later in the day).
I visited Ssum Coffee specifically because I saw their Instagram flyer advertising a free caricature drawing event from 10 AM-12 PM. I arrived around 11:35-11:40 AM, but was told the drawings had already ended because the artist couldn't finish them in time. If the event was going to end early, I think the flyer should have clarified something like "while supplies last" so customers know the event may not run until the advertised end time. The strawberry matcha was good, and the Ssum Coffee staff were kind when I shared my experience. However, I drove about 30 minutes specifically for the event, so the experience was disappointing overall. The cafe has a nice modern wood interior, although the space is fairly tight, so I'd say it's better for grabbing a drink and heading out rather than staying for a long time. Parking is convenient since it's in a small plaza, but it can get crowded and take a little time to find a spot on weekends.
finally got to try their lattes because since they're opening, they've been blasting my social media with their marketing and it's been a while since I saw the ads, but I remember their cute little logo. I've been obsessed with biscoff late lately so I got their lotus einspanner latte & sweet corn cream latte. all of the drinks taste good. They have a limited space inside, but it's pretty cozy. Parking is limited as well. Staff is nice and friendly.
My sister tried this place and mentioned it was good so we decided to stop by today after lunch. This coffee shop is inside a small plaza shared with a laundromat and a teriyaki spot. The store is super cute and love that they have photos of the owners fluffy puppy to make you say "awww" as you decide what to order. The worker told me the lotus cream top was their most popular drink so I ordered that and my sister got the August special since that drink will only be available for this month. It was a peach drink topped with a matcha cream top and sprinkles in a cute cup with tiny jewels glued to the cup with Hodu's face. The cup was too cute to toss I brought it home lol. I can't wait to come back to try their other drinks!
Went around 8 AM on a Monday, and it was already pretty busy, which was a good sign! The place is super cute, clean, and has some seating inside. I got their Matcha Latte unsweetened, and it came out really fast. The matcha was smooth with a nice earthy flavor. Not too bitter and really enjoyable! Just a heads-up, there's no restroom, but they do have WiFi if you need to study or get some work done. Parking was also easy since they have a lot. Definitely would come back if I'm in the area to try more of their menu!
Cute little cafe with some seating and very cute decor. Music is chill and relaxing and there are some outlets for studying. The workers are very friendly. I tried their signature ssum matcha which I believe is a standard matcha latte with cinnamon. The default milk in this drink is oat milk, and my drink tasted like 90% oat milk so I could barely taste the matcha. There was just a hint of cinnamon. This drink wasn't as yummy as I thought it was going to be--I think the milk was just a bit too strong. Their cups are also on the smaller side. I would probably try a different matcha drink if I were to come back.

Ssum Coffee is a small, cozy neighborhood cafe with a modern and minimalist vibe, specializing in specialty coffee, matcha, and creative drinks. I love that they have a fun variety of unique drinks. The interior of the story is cutely designed and I definitely love their logo! The space is smaller so can be packed during peak hours but it is a nice spot to grab a drink and catch up with a friend. The parking is also on the smaller side and can become packed during peak times. The staff was very kind and attentive and gave very good recommendations! Ordered the following: - Lotus Cream Top - Matcha Einspanner - Yuzu Tonic Espresso - Cookies: Strawberry Jam Cookie & Pistachio Cookie They have a wide variety of drinks and some seasonal ones - would definitely love to be able to try them all eventually! I really liked the Matcha Einspanner - it was not extremely sweet without adjustments; it was a balance of the earthy matcha and sweetness from the cream. The Yuzu Tonic Expresso gave it a bright refreshing citrus flavor while the tonic adds a light and fizzy quality. While the Lotus Cream Top was creamy, smooth and sweet (it has a bit of a Biscoff or cookie butter flavor). There were also many different pastries but I really enjoyed both of the cookies; they were both delicious. Overall, really loved this cafe and would like to come back again and try their other items! read more

I would give this place five stars, their place is nice and coffee does taste good. The only reason I wont is because every time I order a hot drink its mostly foam. Im paying over $6 dollars for less coffee. Today I had to ask for more milk and they did add more milk but it was still not nearly a lot. I understand they have a formula, but standard coffee shops they add milk almost to the top. I recommend they dont cheat their customers from their good drinks and start adding more milk to their warm drinks. read more
Definitely a new favorite for their drinks! Stopped by Ssum Coffee for the first time today and really enjoyed it. Parking is a little limited, but the shop was easy to find when we went around 11 a.m. on a Saturday. It wasn't too busy, so we were able to browse the menu, order, and get our drinks pretty quickly. I got the Lotus Latte and loved it! It had just the right amount of Biscoff flavor and was really well balanced in its flavor: not too bitter, sweet, or milky. My partner got the Iced Vanilla Latte with Cream Top, which was good too, just a little simple for my taste. The shop itself is clean, modern, and spacious with a nice amount of seating. The atmosphere is pleasant, although nothing particularly stood out beyond the overall aesthetic. Service was straightforward and friendly. Overall, a great first visit! The Lotus Latte alone would definitely bring me back to try more of the menu. read more
I've wanted to try this coffee shop for a while now and I'm so glad I did! The coffee shop itself is adorable with a cute seating area. I really liked the chill ambiance of the place and I can definitely see myself coming back to have a study session with my coffee. Their lotus cream top latte is one of my new favorites! They did the biscoff flavor justice with this drink and it's not too sweet either! The foam top makes it so nice and creamy, with a perfect balance of the cookie butter flavor with the coffee. Their strawberry latte is lovely too with a non-artificial strawberry taste that reminded me of strawberry pocky! The service was amazing and they ask you about milk substitutes too, which I appreciated. Highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for a coffee! read more

Tried the strawberry matcha and it reminded me of strawberry Pocky! It was light, refreshing, and had just the right amount of sweetness. The matcha quality was okay, nothing too special, but the strawberry flavor made it enjoyable. I'd definitely come back whenever I'm craving a strawberry matcha! They also had a cute little photo booth setup, which was a fun bonus! You get to take two photos and receive a black-and-white print, plus a QR code to access the color versions digitally. Such a cute little touch and a fun way to remember your visit! read more

I really love the biscoff latte with oat milk (no cream), it's still delicious even with no dairy. The pastries look pretty I wish they had some vegan options. The staff is super friendly and made the orders super quick. The interior is cute and there is a free little Photo Booth thing that can print a black and white photo to memorialize your coffee experience. The parking is pretty easy as well. Will definitely be coming back for more biscoff. read more
POV you're driving near the Anaheim target and you're drawn towards a calm little coffee shop in the neighborhood. First thing you see is the pastry display, minimalist menu, and wooden benches and tables. You're greeted right away and your order is in. Immediately you receive your tasty warmed up banana bread and shortly your iced Bianca latte and iced Hojicha drinks are ready. Banana bread is fresh and moist , the yuzu citrus flavor pairs well with the creamy latte, and it's strong. It's served beautifully layered, unsure about your adventurous choice, you stir it with the straw for flavor maxxing success. You walk out energized ready for a beautiful day ahead. read more
Ssum Coffee is a great locally owned shop for your next matcha run! This spot is located in a plaza with a decent amount of parking spots. Inside, they have a nice interior with a solid amount of seating. Wifey and I got the Strawberry Matcha and Yuzu Matcha Tonic and we enjoyed our drinks. super cute store and yummy drinks!! loved the spanish latte, matcha was good too (i got it extra sweet- if you like sweet matcha they said theyd recommend to add sweetener) boyfriend got the yuzu tea and liked it, it was a bit fizzy which was nice and good flavor smores cookie was sooo good and adorable!!! love the dog and bear decor, and baristas were nice i'll stop by again if i'm in the area! read more

Continuing my cafe hopping journey! Parking: They have a small parking lot. Finding an open spot can be easy. Ambiance/Environment: They have a small indoor space with a decent amount of indoor seating and minimal decor. It's more so a social coffee shop rather than a studious coffee shop. The reason why I say that is bc you can't really get much done on small, short tables and hardwood seats. I enjoy the music; definitely a coffee shop ran by woman (iykyk). Service: I wasn't greeted when I entered. The worker just looked at me. She was nice though, and I think she was still training. Both workers are knowledgeable about the menu offerings. Throughput was quick after ordering. Drinks & pastries: I tried their most popular drink - Lotus Cream Top. This is a latte with Biscoff butter topped with a cream foam and Biscoff cookie. I looove anything cookie butter. I really enjoyed this drink! The Biscoff flavor was not shy. The foam was thick, but it didn't have much flavor. I heard great things about their cookies, so I'll have to come back to try them! Pricing: Prices are a bit more than average. I'd visit once in a while. They offer rewards through Cash App. read more
Went here after seeing a review saying it was the best matcha they ever had. I asked for double matcha but I guess they gave me a matcha latte since it didn't have matcha cream top. It tasted very bland and I barely taste any matcha. The peach cold brew was a little better. It was cold brew with peach flavor, but nothing special. Overall, it was disappointing. read more
This place was so cute and aesthetic inside! The coffee and matcha was extremely good as well. I ordered the cookie butter latte and my roommate ordered the seasonal matcha corn latte. The lotus latte was amazing and the sweet corn matcha was good as well, but we thought it lacked on the corn part of it and tasted like a regular matcha. Finally stopped by Ssum Coffee after seeing it all over my feed, and it actually lived up to the hype. The shop is on the smaller side, but that's part of the charm. Clean, cozy, and minimalist without feeling overly trendy. The staff were friendly and patient when explaining the menu, which I appreciated since there are quite a few unique drinks to choose from. Reviews from other visitors also frequently mention the welcoming service and cozy atmosphere. I tried the Strawberry Matcha, and it was easily my favorite. The matcha flavor was strong enough to come through, while the strawberry added just the right amount of sweetness without tasting artificial. The Yuzu Sparkling Ade was refreshing and perfect for a warm day. Both drinks seem to be customer favorites for a reason. What I liked most is that the drinks didn't taste overly sweet like a lot of aesthetic cafés. Everything felt balanced and made with care. The pastries looked great too, although some popular items tend to sell out early. Is it a place I'd drive an hour for? Probably not. But if you're in Anaheim or nearby, it's definitely worth stopping by. Good drinks, relaxing vibes, and a nice alternative to the usual chain coffee spots. Small cute coffee shop with various coffee and matcha options. I got the off menu double matcha and it was pretty good, the cream top was on the sweeter side so I'd recommend getting it less sweet. I got it with like half a pump of syrup so by the time the cream blends in it was perfect. Matcha quality was good and strong and service was excellent. $8 for a 16oz double matcha was decently priced. Would be back if im in the area. read more

Ssum Coffee was a cute little place that we had noticed on Yelp! We decided to stop by because it was fairly new with a few reviews. The parking here was quite cramped. There's sports to park to the left side of the building, but parking in front is harder without an exit or entrance, too. Upon entering, we noticed the cute, whimsical decor of the shop! They had seating with a tree right in the middle. The menu was posted towards the left side and near the cashier. I had waltzed in, knowing what I wanted to order thanks to other Yelp reviews. I ordered the Lotus Cream Top Latte. It was perfectly creamy, strong, and had a cookie on top. My fiancé ordered the Yuzu Bianco and he enjoyed the taste; it was refreshing. My brother ordered one of the Valentine's Drinks with a peach top and peach brew. He also really enjoyed his drinks. The employees here were friendly and willing to explain what their drinks were. They were quick to make them and it was delicious as well. For a new cafe, I think it was very well run and decorated. They have a variety of drinks and offerings. They also had different cookies and pastries. If you're in the area, I'd recommend making a stop here to try it out! read more
I have always wanted to check out Ssum Coffee, so I decided to take my friends (who drove down from SGV area) to try Ssum together! First off, the dog logo is sooooooo cutteee!! Ssum Coffee is a super cute coffee shop located in Anaheim with adorable decors and social atmosphere. They have the cutest decors like mirrors, trinkets, and posters. There are seatings, but can busy at times! People were socializing while others were studying/working. Their menu is pretty straightforward and offer coffee base and matcha base drinks. My friends got strawberry matcha lattes, while I got the corn double matcha. I will have to say that the matcha is STRONGGGG!! You can tell they use good quality matcha. I couldn't taste much of the corn puree in my drink, but it was still good! My friends' strawberry matcha though!!! That was so good!! Maybe I should have ordered the corn latte or the spicy latte... I had this place bookmarked. Decided to drop by before heading to Garden Grove. We got the lotus cream top and strawberry matcha lattes. I didn't enjoy my lotus cream top. It was a bit too creamy. The espresso was there, but not much flavor. It tasted like a reg coffee with cream top. No lotus flavor. The biscoff cookie didnt do much either. After consuming half, I ended up tossing the drink. It wasn't bad. Just not up to my liking. The others didn't like the strawberry matcha lattes. They thought it was a bit watery. The taste couldn't compare to other places that offered the same drink. Didn't get to try the cookies. - the interior felt like a cafe in Korea! All the decor was adorable - staff was super nice and explained the menu well - we got the matcha latte and yuzu bianca (latte with yuzu and a cream top) - the matcha was solid!
