Matcha cloud jasmine oolong. This is their top seller and I will say. It was pretty good. 60 percent sweetness is where they set it at. Not too sweet. Very easy to drink. Good tea flavor. I really enjoyed this drink!!
Really good quality team shop with a space theme inside! I ordered the Jasmine oolong milk tea, 30% sweet with boba. The tea was th perfect sweetness level and the boba tastes fresh and chewy. It was pretty empty on a Saturday early evening and the drinks took a few minutes to make. THe interior of this place is really cute, with a moon theme and big astronaut figure in the center of the store. Tea tastes really fresh and fragrant; the jasmine tea was floral and was a good mix with the oolong. Would love to come back and they their coffee options.
Adding a new pic to my review here after visiting this location with cousins from out of state. There was a weekend promotion going on for the new mango drinks, all $5 each. I ordered the Double Mango Eclipse Matcha. It was bad, not ordering again. There was randomly so Cheetos on top of the cheese foam, so gross. And the ice cubes in my opinion should've been blended with the drink, it wasn't smooth at all, so much about the drink I'd change. Wouldn't recommend that drink, but still a big fan of astra bean so I'd recommend trying other drinks. Service - good, the guy gave me and my cousins some free kitchen gloves with each drink order. Ambiance - my cousins and their significant others loved the space theme, and since they're a FIFA World Cup raffle going on that they were advertising, they had a banner of flags of different countries hung up - that my cousin really enjoyed quizzing herself and her boyfriend on. We all had a great time here. Will likely come back and would definitely recommend!
The Jasmine Oolong Milk Tea is very delicious and would be what I would recommended if you're a fan of Jasmine Tea. If you prefer coffee, the Golden Egg Coffee, their Vietnamese Egg coffee, could be worth trying. The coffee isn't too strong, and the egg cream on top is done well. As you've probably guessed, the store is decorated inside to fit a space themed motif, however, luckily it is not over the top. There are only a couple small tables, but it doesn't get too crowded, so you can usually grab a seat to enjoy your drink. You can order via a kiosk or in person at the counter with the friendly baristas. As of the time of this review, each order comes with a ticket for a chance to win some future drink discounts (i.e. BOGO free, free toppings, $1 off...) and a small box of biodegradable kitchen gloves.
Really really yummy!! Ordered the crème brûlée milk tea w/ boba 30% sweet and it was so good!! The boba is perfectly chewy, milk tea had a strong tea flavor and the crème brûlée top added a nice creaminess to the drink. Prob my favorite crème brûlée drink around the area. I've been searching for a solid crème brûlée milk tea after getting hooked on it from Machi Machi (not around here) but this place takes the cake for best crème brûlée milk tea. The inside is really cute and creatively themed. Some tables to sit and hangout as well. Bathroom is SO CLEAN. Loved it. Service was also really good and nice! They were giving away free disposable kitchen gloves today and tickets for potential to go to World Cup but ours only had free topping and BOGO drinks which was still a nice surprise. Would def come back again to try their other drinks. Parking in the plaza was not bad on a Sunday afternoon and had a good amount of spots.
Decided to check out this Vietnamese-inspired, space-themed coffee and tea shop, as the futuristic decor and creative menu caught my eye. The shop had a cool, modern atmosphere and did not feel gimmicky at all. My partner and I shared 2 drinks: Oreo Eclipse Matcha Brûlée (matcha-infused custard topped with caramelized sugar and served with crunchy oreo pieces) and Crimson Dragon (red dragonfruit green tea). Even with 30% sugar, both of these drinks were way too sweet. And with less ice, the drinks still contained a lot of ice. Taste-wise, the drinks were only tolerable. Although the parking lot here seems decently sized, this plaza's shared lot is notorious for feeling tight and cramped, especially on weekends. Seating inside the store is also pretty limited, with just a few small tables.
When I went a few nights ago, I had a few drinks. The tiramisu brulee milk tea was SUPER sweet, and I got it with brown sugar boba which tasted a bit old, mushy, the flavors didn't mix well. I also tried the house black milk tea with brown sugar boba, it was just a regular milk tea, nothing too special. Very cool interior! I'm going to have to come back to try the coffee
The store is pretty cute, space theme. Interior certainly makes you feel like your in a shop that's based in space. Decorations are quite visible and very much a good background for your pictures. There's two self ordering kiosks which is great to avoid wait times. Seem like a solid spot for people to hangout at as there's some tables/seats on the left. Other than that, just standing space. I was decently happy about my matcha Oreo brulee. However, I wasn't expecting the cup to be this small compared to my partner's drink. On top of that, the drink didn't look fully filled as it was topped with tons of ice even though my order had the ice less option. A bit disappointed on that end although the taste of the drink was pretty delicious. A great mix of brulee, Oreo flakes and matcha was a unique taste that's not too common in most shops. It's either one or the other but this had both. Highly recommend this drink, can see why it's one of the most popular drinks. Parking here however is a bit of a nightmare especially during peak hours. Although it's a sizeable lot, finding parking is a struggle which the amount of congestion around. Drinks came out pretty quick which was a nice plus. Would come back to try other options as their menu is quite extensive.
A super cool space themed cafe I got the strawberry halo cream, and it was amazing!! It's super sweet but not unbearable and the yogurt foam helped balance out the taste. the strawberry flavor was really strong too!
Astra Bean is a modern boba tea shop with some cool space-themed decor. This spot is located in a plaza with a decent amount of parking spots, but things can get tight depending on the day and time you come. Inside, they have about 3-4 tables for seating. For their menu, they have a nice selection of different matcha, fruit tea, and coffee drinks to choose from. I got the Manderine Acerola and wifey got the Matcha Jasmine Oolong. We both enjoyed the flavor profile of our drinks. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Definitely check this spot out for your next boba run in OC!
This place is so different from regular boba shops it is definitely out of this world "wink wink" The jelly they make is so good I tried jasmine jelly with my jasmine oolong. They also use organic lactose free milk that is delicious in a drink. We also tried strawberry cheese drink and peach hibiscus and they were all pretty and yummy.
I've passed by this boba shop and seen posts on social media about this spot for a few months now, but I didn't get the space theme so I never stopped in. They are currently running a BOGO deal and I was in the shopping plaza & luckily found a parking spot. I told the cashier it was my 1st time and she was very helpful, even offered some samples of their milk teas. I ended up getting: 1. Matcha Jasmine Milk Tea 2. Dragonfruit Tea Both were refreshing & not too sweet. The cups & bag were also high quality. I'm glad I stopped in and definitely plan to come back again (if I can find a parking spot)
The drinks were pretty good. The packaging is cute and they use high quality bags for to-go. But behold my surprise when I took the drinks out of the bag and found that they didn't even fill the cups all the way. The drinks are priced okay but companies should always fill the drink cups to the rim. Parking in this plaza is pretty terrible. It's always been busy when I've come and all the stalls feel like they're meant for compact cars (I drive a small SUV).

Of course you would hear they're going with a space theme when you see the name of this boba shop. Oddly enough, i've been to a few boba shops with the same theme lol. Although, first impression, I really liked how clean it is with great lighting and seating! The one thing that really bumped up my review for this place was how CLEAN the restroom is. Especially with their fancy toilet that it's foot sensor? that's crazy. Definitely a top-notch bathroom cause I felt so safe in there lol. Anyways, ordering was easy, which you can just place it at the kiosk. I got the matcha jasmine oolong tea (with 30% sugar and jasmine oolong jelly) since it was most reviewed here on Yelp. It was really good! Very refreshing and the right amount of sweetness. The matcha could be bolder, but I thought it was still a nice touch to have with the drink. The Jasmine Oolong Jelly was a lot denser than I imagined, kind of like the texture of a rainbow jelly (but not as bouncy), but it was still pretty delicious! The overall flavors were pretty good for a boba drink. I was initially intrigued by their durian coffee, but their tea here is actually pretty good. Not sure how their coffee is here, but will definitely try next time if in the mood for coffee! Also the cups here are pretty cute! They pay attention to even the texture of the cup since it's inspired by the moon. read more

We ordered from here for the first time through their website, and my husband picked up the drinks. We were looking for something different from the usual Ding Tea, Tastea, and other chain boba spots. After seeing several positive Yelp reviews, we decided to give this place a try. My husband wasn't a fan of the location because the plaza was extremely crowded, but he did mention that the shop itself had a friendly, trendy atmosphere. The staff greeted him right away, and the drink presentation was impressive. The takeout bag was a nice touch, and we were even gifted eco-friendly gloves from AnEco as part of a sustainability promotion--something we can all appreciate. As for the drinks, my husband ordered the Matcha Cloud Jasmine Milk Tea, and I ordered the Jasmine Oolong Milk Tea, both at 60% sweetness. The sweetness level was spot-on, but we were both hoping for a stronger tea flavor. I'd rate the drinks a solid 3/5. Our total came to $15.46 for two drinks, which is pretty standard these days. Overall, the customer service was excellent, and the drinks were decent. However, we're still undecided about returning, as we don't feel the drinks alone are enough to justify navigating the busy, overcrowded plaza. read more

Cute concept for a boba shop and I do love themed dining all sorts. I'm not sure exactly what inspired the space theme but I found it thoroughly entertaining. I got the coconut Vietnamese coffee and and man, was I wide awake the whole afternoon. I was a little bummed when the coffee didn't fill up the cup. I'm not sure if this is typical but there's just something about getting a partially empty cup of coffee that doesn't feel right. Parking is a bit rough in this complex. There's just way too many businesses and not enough spots and all of them are super small. read more
Astra Bean is a cute shop located in a strip mall with ample parking. I went pretty late at night though so the parking lot was fairly empty. The inside is decorated really nicely and themed around outer space. You can order at the kiosk they have in the front or also place an order for pickup. They were pretty quick to make our drinks and they all turned out pretty good. I would definitely consider this as an option again. Staff: 5/5 Sanitation: 5/5 Acerola Dragon Fruit (4/5) The acerola drinkn was interesting. There were bits of what seemed like kumquat or maybe lemon rinds in it that I wasn't expecting but didn't hate. It tasted really fruity but I wouldn't say I could taste the dragonfruit in the drink. Matcha Jasmine Oolong (5/5) This drink was really good. The matcha was light but you could still taste it through the Oolong tea. I think the tea in this drink was well brewed. Came for some late night boba and the Durian Avocado drink caught my eye. As a Vietnamese person, these are my favorite flavors. However, the drink was not good at all. The aftertaste was really bad, tasted like throw up. I'm disappointed because I assumed this was Viet owned considering the location, therefore, I believed the quality of this drink should've been better. Will not come again. read more
10/10 Caramel Brûlée Iced Milk - my go to drink here. I love the brûlée at the top. It's like a dessert in a drink. 9/10 Osmanthous Milk Tea - a good lighter drink with noticeable floral notes. 10/10 Boba - very soft and sweet bobas. read more
Big straw, big dreams We recently stopped by on a Saturday morning and there was no wait. Parking can be rough though. Nice and clean chill spot with very nice decor. We tried the Smoky Vanilla and the Egg Coffee as is. While both drinks were flavorful and good overall, we were a little disappointed that neither came filled to the top, even without adjusting the ice level. They're running a BOGO deal on weekdays only right now. The drink flavors were enjoyable enough that we might give this another shot if we're in the area on a weekday. read more
Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty quiet. Few seating opportunity available. I tried their Mandarine Acerola and liked how refreshing it tastes! It does come with mandarin peels, which surprised me because it didn't say on the menu. Their honey boba was nice and chewy, not too overpowering in sweetness. The staff was friendly and allowed me to taste test the topping before purchase which helped! Overall ambiance was nice and quiet, and restroom was very clean. Seriously, just how cute is this store!?!?!?! It's a super cute boba place with the cutest decor, the store is not very big, probably has like 8 seats total? But the little space feels magical Now on to the drink, we order the dragon fruit and the mango fruit tea, both I ordered less sweet but it's still super sweet, I don't see a option for no sugar so I'm guessing it's premixed? Not sure, but definitely on the sweeter side for a fruity drink. The Osmanthus oolong milk tea and the jasmine oolong milk tea are both delicious, definitely high quality and taste 5/5, love it! read more

I first came here in the summer when they first opened, but they didn't have the matcha foam or jasmine oolong topping so I'm back! I love the celestial theme and they executed it well. There's two kiosks in the front to order from (cashless) so it was pretty seamless. I had the matcha jasmine oolong milk tea with the jasmine oolong chewy topping. It was pretty nice, however I will say I thought the "chewy" topping would be similar to crystal boba pearls - instead, it was jelly (still flavorful, just unexpected). I recall liking their candied tamarind drink so will definitely come back for that. Plus, there's a buy one, get one drink on weekdays from 8-5pm until Jan 10, 2026!! read more

Sooo we were definitely the last customer on Sunday's night when we pulled up 30 minutes before they close and I gotta said, they have got a lot better since the last 2 times. I still remembered when they first opened their drink was lack of flavors and was on the sweet side. Now come back trying their milk tea and matcha, I gotta say they definitely up their game. Matcha was really really good, no sweet, tea flavor was strong and everything mixed smooth and perfectly. Definitely comparable with double matcha from Tatty and Heytea. The post flavor after every sip is there. Same with Jasmine milk tea Ambiance is pretty cool, they add some more modern accent from space and astronaut. Love the theme they built. They also added promotions, definitely recommended now after seeing much changes from them read more

Astra Bean in Westminster is such a cute little spot. The astronaut and moon themed decor is the first thing you notice and it honestly puts you in a good mood right away. It feels fun and different without being over the top. I ordered the matcha with cheese foam the salted cheese foam coffee and the strawberry cheese drink. All of them were good but the salted cheese foam coffee was the clear winner for me. It was creamy just the right amount of sweet and super smooth. You can tell they put effort into their drinks because nothing tasted watered down or rushed. The staff was friendly and the place felt clean and cozy. It's somewhere I would definitely stop by again especially if I'm craving that cheese foam fix. The drinks are cute for photos but they're actually delicious which is the best part. read more

This is my new favorite coffee place recently. I felt in love with their salted cheese coffee. Currently they have a promotion BoGo for all drinks except matcha from 10am to 5:00pm until 3/30/26. I usually come on weekdays before lunch and there were no line and quick in and out. Servers were super nice and friendly. Not too big inside however they have some seatings. Parking is tight sometimes. read more

Very nice boba shop in a sometimes crowded parking lot. They redid their menu which was a little disappointing as I wanted to try more pure tea options and my friends wanted the egg coffee. Osmanthus oolong: pretty solid and very strong osmanthus. Their full sugar was the perfect amount. It's like 50% sweetness at other places. Matcha jasmine oolong: the foam had a stronger matcha flavor than the drink. It was an interesting drink but you couldn't tell what tea was what. Maybe a little too much going on. The honey boba was perfect though. Ambarella Fruit Refresher: I wasn't sure what this drink was but it was like the Mexican Tajin drink. Very flavorful and unexpected but tasted like an agua fresca. Not too sweet and very tangy. Smoked vanilla latte: my friends liked it. Solid coffee flavor. The staff was very nice and fast. They packaged everything well and the Astra cup was very cute. read more
Loved my first visit here but was very disappointed this second time around. They said the banana latte couldn't be done with oat milk and the only oat milk drink was the smoked vanilla latte (weird because I ordered a banana latte with oat milk my first time here). The latte was overwhelmingly smokey and I couldn't drink it by itself. I had to mix it with our coconut coffee which in turn was too sweet. Also why aren't the coffees filled up to the top? That should be a given at a coffee shop. read more
Decided to give this place a try after frequenting the same boba shops and I'm so glad we did! I have consistently been coming back for 1 specific drink that I think they do an excellent job making: -Jasmine Oolong Milk Tea w/Jasmine Tea Jelly: This drink is offered as this classic milk tea, as well as a version that includes a matcha foam if you want a slightly thicker/more indulgent drink. I was honestly blown away because I didn't expect the drink to be so fragrant. Many popular boba shops I've visited have had subpar milk teas with flavors that lean far too milky, but that was not the case at Astra. They have been consistently strong every time I've ordered this drink! It has a beautiful floral profile with the Oolong adding some extra strength. I actually think their 100% sweet is more mild than other shops but they do offer the ability to adjust sweetness (and ice level) if you'd like. The tea jelly adds some fun texture to the drink. I love the promotions they have had as well. I came during the initial "Buy any drink, get a coffee free," and was able to try a sip of my boyfriend's egg coffee. It was strong and leaned bitter so that may be a good or bad thing depending on your preference. I also came during their "Buy three drinks, get a free cyber cup" promo which is a really cute ceramic cup that can be placed in a tilted position. It comes in several colors so it's almost like unwrapping a functional blind box lol. Portion size: I love that their teas come in a taller cup and their coffees are a good standard size. It didn't feel like they skimped out on portions with my orders, and their prices were very fair compared to other shops. Their theme and packaging were also very cute. I like their space theme throughout the walls, ceiling, cups, and merch. Their bags are also high quality and resemble Aritzia branding haha. Random side note but their bathroom is also very clean and cool looking with all the marble and fancy bidet toilet. Wait times: This has fluctuated depending on the day. In the beginning, we waited maybe 5 minutes from ordering to receiving two drinks. On weekends in the afternoon, the wait has been as bad as 25 minutes but generally have been around 10-15 for the most part so it's definitely not the worst. This has been the case no matter what time in the day we visited. Parking and the shop: The parking is shared amongst many other businesses in a strip mall of Westminster so at times it can be tricky to find a spot but I have honestly never taken longer than a minute to park and it has always been on the same side as Astra (near the com tam spot). The shop I would say is small to medium sized. There are a few tables with chairs and a few seats for waiting by the tablets. You can place your order with the employee or at one of two tablets in the front. I would not recommend this spot for studying as it's kind of dimly lit and the chairs are low so it's not conducive for studying. Astra Bean is a great spot for drinks (coffee, boba, fruit teas and specialty drinks) The drinks are good, and everything comes out impressively quick. The customer service really stands out very friendly, welcoming, and efficient, making the whole experience smooth from start to finish. The interior is so cool! The astronaut space theme is unique, modern, and super clean, making it a fun place to hang out or grab something on the go. I'm a huge tea lover and have tried many tea shops around OC. But when I came to Astra Bean, I truly felt a clear difference. The tea here is not only fragrant but also surprisingly addictive. What I love most is how uniquely their drinks are crafted--nothing feels generic. No more egg durian coffee! My first time here and this is what they told me 1. Jasmine oolong MT + jasmine oolong jelly Very floral, but not my type of flavor. This jasmine flavor reminds me of bathroom soap jasmine, no offense lol.. I usually like jasmine MT from chinese or taiwanese tea shops. But the jelly was really good and addicting! 2. Smoked vanilla coffee 10/10! I was sad there was no egg durian coffee. But this did not disappoint. Was really smoky~ I would stick to only the coffees if I come back. Ambiance & Service: I came saturday evening and it was very quiet i was hesitant on going in. But I still did lol. There's 2 kiosk but you can also order with the worker. My drinks came out fast, REALLY FAST. Too fast?! lol at least they were good! read more
