    Blueberry oat matcha
    Candyce P.

Loved the matcha here! They use Rocky's matcha and the blueberry oat matcha we ordered was super creamy and not too sweet. The blueberry flavor complimented the strong matcha flavor really well. There is a good amount of seating inside this cafe as well if you want to do work, and there's also seating outside as well. All of the decor is super cute and modern as well. Service was super nice and our drinks came out quick!

Note you will receive about 7oz of drink if you opt for no ice- good matcha flavor, whisked well, not too sweet
    Denise N.

Blueberry matchas, ordered a couple without ice, one with ice. The matcha is creamy, slightly nutty, strong matcha taste. Keep in mind if you choose the no ice option, your cup is not filled all the way (which is expected, I measured it to be 7oz of actual drink so you're paying about $1/oz of liquid) and you will not see the pretty blueberry matcha blue-green gradient. So if you're buying for someone, it's better if they can drink it right away. Very brutalist and minimalist interior, not sure if the music they were playing was AI-generated or not. More of a place to stop and chat for a bit but not designed to welcome people to stay longer and study or anything like that.

Stopped by for coffee and ordered the sesame matcha. Overall, it was decent and drinkable, but not quite outstanding. The matcha wasn't fully dissolved, which made the texture a little uneven. Service was okay, professional, though not especially warm or engaging with customers. The shop itself is small, not very spacious, but clean and well organized. Prices are slightly higher compared to other cafés in the area.

$10 pour over, barely half the cup

I really wish I had had the same experience that others have clearly had at Re Ca Phe. I visited on a Saturday morning to get coffee for the whole fam. The line was decently long and most of the seating was taken. In total, I ordered 7 drinks: 2 matchas, 2 Vietnamese coffees, a latte, a shakerato, and a pour over. Certain drinks were not able to be adjusted to preference. My boyfriend's pour over was $10. We waited a few extra minutes for it (not a problem, it was busy and we had a lot of drinks). By the time he took his first sip, his whole face just dropped. The coffee itself looked like tea and the cup was not even 60% full!! If I'm paying $10 for a coffee that you won't even add a splash of milk to, I at least expect it to be full?? He went back inside to ask about it and the barista very condescendingly told him that's the proper way to do a pour over. Family said the matcha was grainy and the Vietnamese coffee was tiny. Giving two stars bc I somewhat enjoyed my shakerato.

This cafe is legit and is a great shop in OC. For its high ratings, I am surprised it was not more crowded. We stopped in on a weekday mid morning and did not have to wait to order. We had a large order and had to wait a little bit for all of the drinks, but it was worth it. The cost is not much higher than visiting other chain coffee shops. This cafe offered nice indoor and outdoor seating and was much more quiet than some other cafes. It was also very clean and relaxing. I recommend stopping in and soak up the relaxingf you are in the area.

A fantastic coffee shop with good pourover options for me and a variety of fun drinks for my spouse. I got a washed sidra roasted by September and wife ended up getting a Bạc Xỉu. Pourover was done on a crystal eye dripper and my kid had a good time watching it being made. Both drinks were very enjoyable. The baristas were very friendly, and the atmosphere was very calm and cozy early in the morning. They also have a good selection of beans, from roasters like Sey, hydrangea, Dak, September. Re Ca Phe will be a necessary stop every time I'm back in Orange County

    Black sesame coffee ($6) mixed

Small viet coffee shop, but constantly flowing with customers. + Black Sesame Coffee ($6) 2 espresso shots w black sesame cream and 23g sugar (asked if it was sweet) squeezed into 9oz = crazy concentrated coffee. Sooo strong and great black sesame flavor, so amazingly bitter. (9.8/10!) Perfectly priced, if anything I think they could increase it even tho it's only 9oz

    Isabel S.

Not impressed for the price we paid. Sesame flavor was not as strong as we had hoped. Upside was that it was not too sweet. But there's so many other matcha spots in OC you could go to instead.

This being my first time there, I wasn't sure what to expect. As I walked in the Vibe was really nice with good music. I liked it because it wasn't really packed like other places or you can't even relax. There's plenty of space to relax in door and out. The drinks all looked really good, we had the 8 ounce sesame seed latte and the Earl Grey latty, which is one of my favorites latty. They were so kind enough to use my own glass cup when asked. The baristas were all very pleasant when we ask them questions about the drinks. The coffee shop itself is very cute decor with light colors making it feel very airy. They do offer a reward system so when you go, don't forget to check in to accumulate your points. As far as parking, there is plenty. The prices are average. I definitely wanna go back and try their blueberry latte. It sounds delicious. So if you are in fountain Valley, come and check them out.

Re Ca Phe is a modern Vietnamese shop in Fountain Valley that serves Robusta coffee from Vietnam. I recently came here for a quick grab-and-go. [Parking]: Easy plaza parking lot - no issue. [Atmosphere]: Simple and minimalistic. Actually the setting slightly reminds me of Archives of Us in Chinatown. The interior is a little bit too small to stay for an extended period of time (just one table and one bench). There's a small outdoor patio area to make up for the small interior space. [Menu]: The Yelp's top 3 highlighted drinks are Black Sesame Coffee, Marble Latte, and Matcha Latte. They also sell baked goods like canelé. *** Black Sesame Coffee (fine robusta espresso w condensed milk, black sesame cream 9 oz - $6.00): The drink was solid, but I wouldn't say it was all that amazing. *** If you are a fan of strong coffee then Re Ca Phe is definitely worth a stop, but expect some of coffee to be served in a small cup (9 oz) instead of 12 oz cup.

Marble latte and black sesame coffee

Small, but mighty! The portion size seems small, but it really is quality over quantity. Every sip counts! You won't be disappointed. The coffee is robust, bold, fragrant, good sweetness, nuttiness and hints of saltiness, if called for. Top 3 for coffees. -marble latte: coffee marbled with milk and condensed milk! -black sesame coffee: sesame cream on top. Nutty. -sea salt coffee: a little sweet and a little salty! Blueberry oat matcha latte: good matcha with fragrant blueberry tones. Good balance of sweetness. One of my faves Seasonal menus are fun too! We've been to many coffee shop and continue to circle back here! Re Ca Phe is solid and our Go-To. Enjoy! Tid Bits: -friendly staff -online orders available -some seating indoors and few outside -limited substitutions for milk or sweetness. Menu provides many options for all palates. -occasionally will have pop ups from different vendors in store. Check their Instagram for updates

Espresso tonic and earl grey matcha
    Sandra N.

Re Ca Phe is well known for their creative matcha drinks but don't be mistaken- their coffee is not to be missed out on. The menu offers a fair selection of both matcha and coffee options as well as some coffee beans and matcha tins for sale. The interior is cozy and intimate. There is a small section of patio outside off to the side. The workers were working very hard and meticulously. By the time they tended to us, they were thankful for our patience. They were so nice and friendly. Espresso tonic - this is a textbook espresso tonic. The coffee was smooth and the orange citrus twist adds such a refreshing juicy finish. Earl grey matcha latte - This is definitely on my list of top matcha lattes I've ever had. The earl grey foam is so addictive. The matcha is slightly sweet with an earthy undertone. The two flavors compete with each sip with the earl grey slightly overpowering but not in a bad way. I know this is a seasonal drink but this needs to be included in their year round selection ASAP. Its so good. Re Ca Phe is a great option for both matcha and coffee lovers alike. Their creative take on drinks and high quality coffee truly makes them stand out above the rest.

Re Ca Phe is a cute coffee shop nestled in a small shopping plaza, and the small parking lot makes finding a spot pretty easy. Once inside you are greeted with simple and minimal decor and seating that works well for small groups. I ordered an Earl Grey Matcha and a Vietnamese coffee. The matcha was floral, creamy, and slightly sweet. The Vietnamese coffee came in a smaller size, which I actually appreciated since it is quite strong. You can really taste the high quality ingredients in both drinks. The staff was very professional and quick with my order. I cannot wait to come back for this matcha.

Had a fancy expresso and it was ok. Not worth the $10. I'd come back and try the Vietnamese coffee as my brother said it was good.

Just to confirm, is sales tax already included in the menu price?

Hi there, we don’t charge sales tax for to-go coffee at our shop (it is not required under California rules), so tax is not included!

Is the matcha powder used purchasable?

If I'm remembering correctly, I saw that they were selling Rocky's Matcha, the one in the blue tin! Not sure if that's what they use but the tins are on the right hand side on the wall from the cashier

    Do they offer gift cards?

    Yes

I have this belief that if a bakery has a perfect chocolate chip cookie, everything else is great. My definition of a chocolate chip cookie has to have a crunchy outside, a good balance and amount of dark and milk chocolate chips , perfect sweetness level with the perfect ratio of brown to white sugar for sweetness and chewiness and the obvious soft and gooey center. Paderias is a 9 out of 10 for me and it never disappoints. My 2nd fav is their triple chocolate. Those two are hands down my all time picks. Ordering is done through iPads which is simple to navigate. You have to come early to snag their items because they do sell out rather quickly esp on the weekends.
