This is such a cute and aesthetic cafe with a clean and calm vibe is located in a large shopping center, so parking is not an issue. The inside of the cafe has a few tables and seating areas that can potentially get packed during peak hours. The staff members were all very warm, friendly, and super helpful - also provided great recommendations. Ordered the following: Matcha Einspanner Amai Signature Pistachio Matcha Croissant Chocolate Cookie There was a wide variety to choose from their menu - especially from the matcha section. They also had a great variety of summer specials to check out! The Matcha Einpanner was creamy and smooth topped off with a rich layer of cream that adds to the matcha. My personal favorite was the Amari Signature which had a strong coffee flavor and a bit of sweetness. The pastries were all very delicious! Overall this is such a cute cafe, I definitely want to come back and try out their other drinks since there are a lot of different ones to choose from!

Order online or at the register. We ordered online, but our order was ready 30+ minutes earlier than the target time. It was ok for cold drinks, since they refrigerate and wait, but the hot drink was lukewarm at best. Just not the best practice for freshness to begin with, so that was frustrating. I got the einspanner iced matcha. Still not sure how it's different than any other basic matcha, but it was the same price as other matchas on their menu and was tasty. You can ask for less ice and sugar, if desired, which I always go for if offered.
First time Came around 2:30pm Sunday they were sold out of coconut water for the coconut cloud :( which is what I wanted to try Early grey matcha - 8.9/10 I really like this drink but honestly I can't taste the earl grey very much but it's still yummy and I would get it again. We asked for coconut blended matcha (not on menu) and it was good! Service is very good cause they let us have our special request and she asked if we wanted it sweeter and adjusted to our liking. Coconut flavor is strong, texture is thick and good. 8.5/10 Overall solid valid matcha and good service Next time I'd like to try the mango sticky match and coconut water matcha if they have!
Yummy coffee! This coffee shop replaced the delicious cookie shop Chip sadly but they're proving worthy one cup at a time. The inside is beautiful and tranquil plus parking is ample and free. I ordered a hot Vietnamese coffee which is one of their specialty drinks and it was so good and the best Vietnamese coffee I've ever had. Service was quick and the cost is comparable to local competitors nearby.
New spot in the Albertsons Plaza on Beach Blvd. Place is aesthetically pleasing and thank god air conditioned. They have a big selection of drinks for tea and coffee drinkers, and carries some pastries. I've only had their coffee but it's a nice spot. Will need to come back for their tea. If you're a milk tea/matcha lover, might be a good spot to try, not many places nearby have milk tea.
NEW CAFE!!! Such a beautiful little coffee shop! Not much seating. There's 2 couches and some chairs (no tables) More of a grab and go. Angel, the barista, was an angel. She recommended anything with a star on the menu! I love trying new banana coffee's but I ONLY want fresh bananas. Angel said they use the banana syrup here so I knew I wasn't going to like it so I didn't get it. We got the Vietnamese House Coffee and the Amai signature. Both drinks were so delicious with bold flavors. The Vietnamese coffee has a sea salt cream top which is such a nice compliment to the strong coffee. The amai signature was also really good. Good classic latte. Both drinks were not too sweet. Definitely will have to come back and try the matcha!!
This place deserves wayyyyyyy more recognition. When we walked in here, we were immediately welcomed by the kindest staff. Everything looked so good, but I decided to get the banana matcha. Banana matcha: 9.5/10 - some of the best banana matcha I've ever tried. I've tried many banana matcha and this one had to be the best! I love the banana cold foam mixed with the real banana pieces and matcha, which was not bitter at all. It was the perfect sweetness at 100% sweetness and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I love the clean girl aesthetic in here. The blues and whites in the room make me feel so calm and happy in a way. Overall, this place deserves 5 stars. It was so worth the 20 minute drive and I will definitely be coming back again!
Amazing coffee spot offering a wide range of drinks. Love the matcha selection, the early grey matcha was phenomenal you can truly taste the quality of ceremonial grade without the flavor of the early grey overpowering it, and love the fact they are one of the few around that have Vietnamese coffee that will be my next try! The staff is very kind and the place is fresh with a modern aesthetic, not a place to study but 100% worth the stop on in Matcha is ethically sourced so we love that :')
Everything Cream Cheese was soooo good and savory! Shout-out to Abby & Angel! It was perfect warmed up too! Also ordered Amari ice coffee for my hubby and Turon Banana Hot Coffee was different and so tasty. Clean atmosphere being a couple weeks opened. Bookmark this folks! Don't wait! After a good workout, my friends and I decided to check out this coffee shop. There's lots of parking outside! I like that they have a menu posted outside on their window. They way, I don't have to stand awkwardly at the register, while the worker is waiting for my order. There's a good amount of seating outside and inside. I didn't see a bathroom inside the store. My friends and I were still undecided, even though we took a long stare at the menu. The girl working at the cashier was super friendly and gave us some suggestions. I got the iced coconut latte. One of my friend got the turon banana latte, while another friend got the sticky rice matcha. The wait wasn't too long. Funny enough, we ended up switching all of our drinks. I decided to stick with the turon banana latte. Ususally, I'm not a fan of banana flavored stuff, but the banana flavor was pretty subtle. The banana syrup had the perfect amount of sweetness. The iced coconut latte had a strong flavor of coffee, with a hint of coconut. It wasn't too sweet. The sticky rice matcha was pretty sweet, and the matcha was delicious. I would definitely come back here again! There were a lot of options. Plus, there was great service. I would like to try the other coffee flavors too! read more

heard great things about this coffee shop and definitely needed my daily dose of matcha! this place has a great location on beach blvd with tons of parking, although coffee may be small but the drinks are immaculate! service is quick, drinks are delivered quick with the right amount of sweetness and matcha depth. the matcha drinks are usually delivered with whole meal but you are able to substitute it to oat milk at no additional cost! matcha croissant pastry is a must try but unfortunately they were sold out today so i had to improvise with the almond croissant which was also amazing! amai huntington beach has only been open for 2 months, these cold and refreshing drinks make this place amazing! definitely give this coffee shop a try, there's many of variety of drinks besides matcha. these large variety of teas, coffee, and summer specials make the shop amazing! read more

Got to try this new coffee shop after our run at the beach. They were a little slow, but your patience will be rewarded as their drinks are pretty good! Got to try the mango sticky rice matcha and it was pretty good! Their tea was also pretty refreshing! read more

The drinks and food here are equally good as the ambiance. Adore the simplicity of the interior setup that is both well-lit and inviting to anyone who steps inside for a refreshing cup of drink. Would definitely come back to try other drinks next time I'm in the area. read more

This place is great! You can definitely taste the quality in the drink. The first drink I ordered was a Matcha latte, and the Matcha has a strong flavor with a good balance of sweetness the proportion they use for the milk is good too because I hate it when the Matcha drink is too creamy or too watered down. the Vietnamese Coffee was also good, but it does lean on the bitter side compared to some other competitors. I prefer that it leans a little bitter, but my husband prefers that it leans into sweet creamy. So it will ultimately depend on your taste buds but I think it is great quality tea and coffee! They must have just opened because it seems like they are still decorating but it's a nice clean and airy space and the sofas are comfy. The staff are very friendly too! Definitely worth trying if you are in the area. read more

The doctor that we would be visiting drinks black coffee with MCT oil and cream so I thought that he would be able to appreciate the amai signature. Daughter and I got up early to get the drinks before the physical therapy appointment. We were there at shop open of 8:00 AM, but already there were 2 parties in front of us. We got the Vietnamese House Coffee for the front office staff member and the matcha einspanner for the lead physical therapy aide. We have gotten the passion fruit kouign-amman twice and think it's pretty good. We recommended it to a new city resident who says that he will be returning. Drinks were nicely labeled with messages such as "Thanks for stopping by", "Have a great day", and "You rock" written on the lids. Drinks were appreciated by the people they were intended for. read more

I first heard about this place from some friends on IG so when they opened up this location in Huntington Beach I had to try it! Amai is such an aesthetically pleasing coffee shop. The staff was very nice and welcoming. First visit I tried the coconut matcha cloud without the foam and it was so refreshing! Second visit I tried the house matcha and it was perfect! I'm so happy they opened this location here in Huntington Beach. There's so many different things to try! I will be coming here very often and I can't wait to try their wide variety of matcha and coffees! read more

I thought the matcha here was decent. It wasn't the best matcha I've ever had, but it definitely got the job done! They don't have restrooms in the shop itself but there is a grocery store nearby that does. Parking is pretty simple as there's a big lot w/ several spots to pick from. read more

Cute small location just big enough for about 15 people. came on a hot day and there was no ac in there so it was burning up. Ordered two drinks and they were really yummy took about 20 minutes or so. loved the mango sticky matcha the mango flavor really came through! Would love the matcha a little bit stronger though :) The girl that took my order was really nice she was a one woman show and it got kindve busy so I hope u guys implement some ac for her read more

I was looking for a pick me up in HB and wasn't having a great morning. I came across this new Cafe! I love trying new cafes that open nearby where I live! First of all the atmosphere of the Cafe was very warm and welcoming. I loved the layout. Second there menu had a wide variety of matcha combinations (which I loved) in addition to a variety of teas and coffees. I ordered the sticky mango matcha with oatmilk instead of the default whole milk, it brightened my day. I was worried their would be too much coconut flavor overpowering everything. However it was exactly as I anticipated, it was perfect. I hope they never change the menu! I hope they continue thriving and I'll definitely be coming back a lot to this Cafe! read more

Upon coming in you can smell their pastries and the whole cafe itself was very peaceful. Although peaceful there aren't enough seats and tables if you wanted to come here to study. The workers were really kind and fast when it came to my order. I ordered a matcha latte and earl grey matcha. The matcha latte was very creamy and smooth, you can clearly taste the matcha. As for the earl grey matcha, coming from someone who doesn't like earl grey matchas, this one was perfect. The earl grey doesn't overpower the whole drink and still allow for you to taste the matcha. I definitely enjoyed this place and will come again! read more

I have tried this cafe in Santa Monica by accident once, and fell in love with it ever since. It is so good and the ambience inside is so nice as well. A lot of places do not get the Mango Sticky Rice Matcha balance right but this place does. I am so glad that they opened a location by me and I will definitely be a regular here! They made my matcha in a timely manner. read more

This cafe was so cute! It was such a cute interior and I love how welcoming the atmosphere is. The barista was also extremely kind and patient and you could tell that she knew what she was doing. My favorite drink is the Einspanner and I like how it didnt taste like the mediocre bitter matcha other cafes sell. Super good! read more
