Drinks are good. Lines can be long. Spacious and well decorated. Posting an updated menu.

Disappointingly I walked 2 miles from my house to try Brewstory for the first time, only to arrive to a closed sign at 4:45pm. Sorry to say I probably won't be back.

Since my first time at Brew Story, I've tried a couple more drinks so I wanted to write an update It was pretty loud the most recent time I went so I would def recommend noise-cancelling headphones if you wanna get any sort of work done. Def expect a wait also. I went with 4 other people on a Sunday afternoon and we waited probably 30-40 minutes total with ordering and waiting for our drinks. Unfortunately, my cousin noticed that they finished someone else's order before hers even though we had ordered first. My cousin politely asked about her order and the barista just said something about how they were busy, so service definitely could have been better this recent trip Creme brulee latte: 3/5 too bitter for me at first but it was better once it got watered down a bit and mixed more Cookie butter cream top latte: 5/5 as a sweet coffee lover this drink was perfect for me

I've been to Brew Story a few times now and it never disappoints. Their matcha quality is just amazing and all of the combinations that they have are so good! I get the MAMA Matcha but it's lowkey just so overpriced. That's the only complaint I have because there is no way that matcha is worth $10+ with tax and tip! So this time I went with the cookie butter matcha which was slightly cheaper and was creamy and sweet! I tasted both the cookie butter flavor and the matcha flavor, and none overpowered the other. It's usually always crowded when I go but the workers are really fast and working hard! I've studied here maybe once or twice but it's honestly not the best setting because it's super loud and almost always packed. I definitely wouldn't bet on being able to get a table right away, especially one near an outlet.

Came back this time to try the sandos! The tuna was really good! Bread stays toasted and the pesto doesn't seep through so over even overtime the bread doesn't get soggy. The pickled onions were a nice touch of crunch and nicely cuts through the heavier/creamy tuna salad. The tuna salad was also good, not fishy or off putting smell/taste. PSA: they stop serving sandos after 3PM

A story of the brew. Will this story have a happy ending? Barely visible from the street, tucked in an unassuming center... easy to miss unless you're looking. But, brew it right, they will come. I became intrigued not because they roast their own beans or because of the variety of drink options, but because I read they had a TIRAMISU drink, which I just happened to be craving at the time. I know, I know. Another dessert drink. Trust me, it's strictly medicinal. Let's just say the drink was very good. By then, I was hooked and curious about the rest of the drinks. After a few visits and working my way through the menu, I stumbled onto the BLACK SESAME. Immediately loved it. The only problem? It was always sold out. And then one day, it was just gone. Bummer. Honestly, top sellers should probably stick around, seasonal or not. Here's a list of some of the drinks I've enjoyed so far, along with a few my friends have too. THE YODA CREME BRULEE LATTE COOKIE BUTTER LATTE YUZO CITRUS FLAT WHITE SPANISH LATTE MATCHA YUZU BANANA CREAM LATTE All were solid. If I had to pick my numero uno, it would be the hot crème brûlée. The drinks weren't the only reason I kept coming back. I tried the food too. I've had all the SANDOS. All were excellent, but the ROAST BEEF was perfect. Incredibly tender. This place is always packed, at least every time I've been. Because of that, pastries go fast, like gone, and not coming back until the next day. They close at seven, but most days they're nearly out by one or two in the afternoon. That's been consistent every visit. Another bummer. Service has always been friendly and professional, though some drink stations can get congested during rushes. Maybe time to rethink the line. And with the volume of people, seating can be tough to come by. A good problem to have when you're this popular. So does Brew Story have a happy ending? Ask me in the morning

Tried their banana coffee again since the last visits might be one offs but their coffee base still tastes sour. Their foam is delicious but if they improved the coffee base, it'd improve the drink overall.

I frequented Brew Story before social media made the wait and crowding a little unbearable. So, I now opt for online ordering which is more time-effiient. It can be a a nice place to study if you have headphones. They have group tables and bar style seating. Brew Story's matcha never disappoints. Nice balance of umami and astringency. Their banana cream matcha is amazing, because the cream top uses fresh banana instead of artificial banana flavoring. Their MaMa latte is a double matcha, which I get when I need to feel extra caffeinated. For an additional fee, you can upsize; it's pretty large and concentrated, so it lasted me two days.

We stopped here for breakfast and coffee, and while the food options were limited, the ambiance is really what stands out here. The space has a cool, laid-back vibe, modern, cozy, and very "local coffee shop" energy. That said, when we arrived around 9:30am, they were pretty much out of most breakfast items. There were only a few pastries left, so my friend ended up ordering a turkey sandwich instead which, to be fair, was huge! I'll likely come back just for coffee next time, since that seems to be their strong suit, and hopefully earlier in the morning if I'm aiming for breakfast. Overall, great vibe and a nice spot to chill, just plan your timing if you're coming hungry.

Came back to try their matcha drinks! The banana cream matcha and cookie butter matcha were both delicious! The creams were flavorful and not overly sweet or overpowering and the matcha was strong and good quality. There was a short line to order and a short wait for our drinks and we were able to find seating. I would love to come back if I'm in the area!

Came back again since it's been a while and their matcha is definitely one of my faves! Both the cookie butter (Biscoff) matcha and banana cream matcha were amazing, not too sweet or overpowered by the cream, and the matcha was strong and not watery. So good!

Tried Brew Story for the first time! It's located in a small plaza with other shops, parking can get full and limited. The inside was simple and clean with organic furniture and aesthetic. I came on a Saturday around noon so it was pretty busy with a long line to order and then a separate line to pick up your drink, since seating was full. I didn't mind waiting, but if you have somewhere to be just be mindful. I got the banana matcha and it was delicious! You can taste fresh banana and I like the hazelnuts on top. I'lll definitely go back again but at a less busier time.

I ordered a raspberry pistachio croissant. One of the only places their sells these delicious pastries. The combination of flavors is perfect. Tart and nutty. I keep asking what local bakery these are from but interestingly every cashier I ask seems to forget the name. Maybe one day Ill find out.

I pulled up while waiting on my sandwich from a nearby spot (multitasking at its finest), and decided to do what any self-respecting coffee enthusiast would do--wander into a local coffee shop like I know what "notes" I'm tasting. The barista immediately passed the vibe check and recommended the Groovy Gorilla iced latte--his personal favorite. Then he casually mentioned he makes it his own way, like some underground coffee remix. Say less. I told him to bless me with the custom version, and he delivered. (Shoutout to that man--he knew exactly what he was doing.) I also grabbed a massive chocolate chip cookie with sea salt flakes because... balance. You can't just have a handcrafted latte without a cookie the size of your face. That's against hipster coffee bylaws. First sip of the latte? Yeah... I got it. Banana, chocolate, peanut butter--basically if a smoothie and a dessert had a highly caffeinated, well-dressed child. Smooth, flavorful, and dangerously easy to drink. Only downside? It's in Huntington Beach and not LA, which feels like a personal inconvenience to me. But if you're anywhere nearby, this spot is absolutely worth pulling up to. Final verdict: great coffee, great vibes, and a barista who might secretly be a flavor scientist.

Not the best for drinks but a good option if you need a place to work/study that opens somewhat late & isn't crowded. We tried the matcha monkey (banana matcha) and their new summer drink, melona matcha. Their banana matcha was pretty sweet and strong in banana flavor in the cream top and syrup, but lacked the taste of matcha. Same for the melona matcha. Super refreshing as it's made with cantaloupe milk but no matcha. Not bad but they're not known for their matcha, so I would stick to their coffee. Minor things to note - they blast the AC so I would make sure to dress warmly or bring a jacket. Parking can be a bit rough but I confirmed with the barista that they don't check parking at the front, so you can ignore the time limit!

The location has plenty of parking and plenty of seating. There is an outdoor patio, and inside there is a first floor seating area, and a second floor seating area. The interior had high ceilings and modern practical decor. Staff will take your order at the cashier, but they also have a kiosk if you want to avoid human interaction. I was here for a few hours, so I started off with a hot beverage since I saw that they have mug service. I had the hot Churro Latte ($8.15/large) and I was warned it's a bit sweet so staff suggested that I get it less sweet. I appreciated the gesture but maybe that's why I didn't taste too much of the churro flavor. It tasted like a good regular latte but maybe they held back on the caramel and cinnamon to the point I couldn't detect it. Seating is first come first serve. It was actually really busy and difficult to find an ideal spot. Since I was alone I sat at a high top ledge, strategically near an outlet. From what I saw, they had a really good amount of outlets in the indoor seating area. Later on I went back and ordered an iced Blueberry Lavender Matcha with Cold Foam ($9.25/large) and a Deluxe Avocado Toast ($15) which comes with egg, bacon, and herb oil. I like that this location serves the avocado toast with a knife and fork cause it was much needed. It was a bit on the wet side. Maybe I should ask for light herb oil next time. For how much this avocado toast cost, I would have liked more avocado. The avocado was more of a spread, not whole slices of avocado. Still good, just an observation. The blueberry lavender matcha was okay. I could taste the lavender but it was overpowering the matcha and the blueberry was hard to detect at all. Honestly the location and plentiful seatings is what stood out most from this experience. I would consider coming back since I know their products are good from trying their other locations but I wouldn't get the drinks I ordered this time. For how expensive coming here was, I wish I was a little more satisfied.
