We stopped in here on our way through Huntington Beach for a quick boba drink. We both like our drinks. The menu is very limited, including the handful of sad pastries on display. The decor was also very limited. Bare walls and no big menu posted.
Love Mooncha! Best nutty flavor with an amazing creamtop. One of the only shops I can compare it to is 12Matcha in NY. They also have a mango sticky rice drink that is so refreshing. Great seating with plenty of parking as well!
Relaxing, light & airy space. The jasmine milk tea was delicious but I will try the black next time! After I ordered my tea I saw they had bags of coffee, which I needed so I bought one, and the barista was so nice, he retroactively comped my milk tea even though it's a tea beverage not a coffee beverage! The coffee bun was fresh and hot.
I love Moon Cha! The owners, Long and Naza, are so nice. I often order the Mango Matcha Latte and Banana Matcha Latte, and they're both so good with a strong matcha flavor. I especially love their banana foam. It tastes just like Vietnamese banana ice cream with a hint of coconut. I also tried the Jasmine Milk Matcha, but it wasn't really my cup of tea. They have fire garlic bread, so so good. I love the ambiance of their store too. It's spacious, aesthetically pleasing, and has plenty of tables and outlets, so it's a great spot to come and work or study!Their cups are a tad small, though, so I hope they consider offering larger sizes in the future.

There are small pieces of sticky rice chunks that caught me off guard but were tasty. You definitely have to be in the mood for a sweeter drink and be okay with larger chucks of rice that may clog your straw. The cafe is fairly quiet with indoor seating and parking is free so it's a nice place to study or work.

Their fan favorite menu items include a variety of matcha, banana ice cream lattes, and fruit and milk teas. IMO, they could wipe this entire menu and survive off of mango sticky rice smoothies alone. This drink is perfectly sweet from the mango, decadent from the condense milk, and has a bit of chew from the white rice. The interior is a great space for meeting with a friend or getting some work done. The space is well lit and the outlets are plentiful.

The mango sticky rice smoothie is soo good! 5/5!! It really does taste exactly like mango sticky rice. It has the perfect texture, isn't too sweet, and is really refreshing. I like the bits of sticky rice in the smoothie too. I would definitely get it again!

My first purchase was the mango sticky rice smoothie ($7) and I thought the first few sips was refreshing with the bits of sticky rice but lost the mango flavor after. I came back to try the banana ice cream latte coffee and this was much better than the smoothie. The banana tasted like the apple banana variety (iykyk lol) and didn't overpower the coffee.
I stumbled upon moon cha after scrolling on tik tok and added it to my must try list. I walked in and moon cha offered a serene, calm environment with plenty of seating. The environment itself was not loud, making it the perfect place to study and relax. It took quite a while for the employees to take my order. I ordered matcha einspanner after hearing great things about it. The matcha itself was high quality; but the einspanner was more of a salted sweet cream compared to einspanners I have previously had. I was not impressed by the matcha einspanner because it was smaller than expected and had a different flavor. I plan on trying other items in the future.

She ordered the mango sticky rice smoothie, which she said was the best thing she had today. I got the Moon Latte, which is like a Taiwanese or Vietnamese coffee and I loved it too.

My sister and I just heard about Moon Cha and definitely had to try it. We were so excited to try their Jasmine Milk Matcha and it did not disappoint. Not very many places near us have Jasmine Matcha, so we knew we needed to try it. Moon Cha is tucked in the corner of a large plaza, and once you find it, it is the most coziest vibe ever. They have tons of seating inside for coffee dates or studying. Service was super quick, and we loved that they used recycled creamer containers as cup holders! Can't wait to come again! read more
Iced Moon Latte ($6.50): 3/5. Pricey for the taste, which was leaning heavily towards condensed milk than a phin-style espresso. I prefer lattes that are less milky, and I thought the coffee would be stronger in this drink. So for me, it was disappointingly bland and too milk-forward. Interior and atmosphere: 5/5. Airy, spacious, and bright with Japandi vibes and decor. I can see why people like studying or working here. Service and staff: 4/5. Straightforward, helpful, nothing more, nothing less. Not as chipper like at other cafes, yet not dismissive or rude, so I have no complaints. read more

Worth it! Love this viet cafe and it makes me happy to see that many people have discovered it as I've seen more and more ppl come here to study. I get the mango matcha with oat milk and it's one of the best mango matchas out there ! Earthy matcha that isnt overpowered by the mango purée. The mango is so fresh and perfectly sweet. I'm a picky mango matcha person bc some places are too sour, overpowering, artificial, etc. but this spot nailed it ! My bf gets the honey green tea and he loves it. Came for their mango sticky rice smoothie and I've definitely found a new spot to keep coming back to! The smoothie doesn't have the strongest mango flavor which I honestly prefer and appreciated that they actually included bits of sticky rice in the drink I sometimes don't see "mango sticky rice" flavored items doing. I could see this as a good study cafe as well this spot is pretty spacious and had lots of seating with no overcrowding. read more
Clean, warm aesthetic with fast service. Plenty of tables are perfect for work or studying. Located in the corner of a plaza. A bit on the pricey side. The mango series for the season. Mango coconut matcha was really good; I may be biased, as someone who grew up eating mangos and coconuts all the time, but incorporating it into matcha is brilliant. the mango sticky rice smoothie was a MUST TRY. it had great pieces of sticky rice within the smoothie that you would suck up with every strawful. the mango tasted more like syrup rather than fresh fruit, bit the overall smoothie was a nice flavor. not sure what the other drinks are like, only went specifically for this smoothie. the service was fast and the staff were friendly. the shop itself had enough seating for about 15-20 people. looks like people were studying there and it wasn't too busy. read more

I ended up trying their viral Mango sticky rice smoothie! It was...alright to say the least. I wasn't expecting it to be so icy? I'll give this place a solid 3/5 as an AVERAGE rating until I try it again to update my review. Their layout is so cute! I noticed that they had their first customer's reciept and I'm excited to see more memories on their bulletin board! Haha overall, the ambiance is good, the place is clean. I noticed it's such a peaceful place to study or to catch up with someone. But I would like to mention that plants can be very finnicky so it's hard to spot but I noticed that there were a couple gnats around the plants. Hopefully, it's gone by now! I already notified the staff and they told me they'd handle it! read more

We came to Moon Cha since we were somewhat nearby in Huntington and I had just seen the mango sticky rice smoothie on TikTok. It was right around 10 mins before closing, but we were able to get our orders in with no issue. The space inside is clean, relaxing, and spacious, and even at that time there was a good handful of people working/studying inside. I don't know what exactly I expected as this drink wasn't really like anything I've had before, but the smoothie was very good. The mango flavor was very light but definitely present, the coconut flavor also definitely came through as a creamy background, and there was plenty of sticky rice that came through every sip, which added the perfect chew to the drink. I would definitely get this again if I'm ever in the area. read more
My friend and I enjoyed a mango sticky rice smoothie when we visited for the first time. Moon Cha is very aesthetic with plenty of seats. It does get full during the weekend, so there may be no seats available. I noticed a few outlets as well. It looks like a good place to work/study on a weekday for those who WFH! read more

My friends and I have been here multiple times and the staff are always so kind. We've ordered the banana ice cream matcha, the einspanner latte, vanilla latte, and the passionfruit peach tea with both green and black tea. I've never been disappointed. Today the person working asked if my dog would like a pup cup. It was so sweet of him to offer. This had been my favorite local place, so I highly recommend P.s. get the salt bread! read more

OVERALL : There are plenty of coffee shops here in OC, but I love when I find new ones that have ample seating space + wifi -- perfect for getting some work done over the weekends or catching up with friends! They offered online ordering which was convenient as well, but I noticed that I had to go to IG to locate the online order link (could not locate it via yelp's website section / links). Drinks were done early so I was able to come in and pick it up at the counter. I tried both a coffee and a matcha. Overall solid flavors on both drinks and not too much ice! PARKING : Plenty of parking in a big parking lot for the plaza FOOD/DRINKS : Strawberry Matcha Latte - lighter, more delicate matcha flavor -- do not expect a super strong double matcha / triple matcha type drink. This is a strawberry matcha, so it is def something where the fruit + matcha would balance each other's flavors versus having the matcha stand out on its own. i enjoyed the fruit puree bc i could taste the real strawberries used. A sweet, fun drink when I'm not craving something too strong matcha-wise! Banana Ice Cream Coffee - the phin-style espresso really stands out here -- strongly brewed and not too milky. banana foam was YUM! I got coconut banana flavors -- it does remind me of vietnamese flavors that I grew up with, but perhaps less of an ice cream and more of a che dessert in my head. Either way, still great flavor! I loved that it was thick and didn't melt into the coffee right away, but I would say it was almost a bit too thick bc it was hard to blend it into the drink with a straw. I would def try to sip it next time like a cheese foam drink without the straw. Appreciated the depth to the coffee + the yummy foam on top! read more

I stumbled upon Mooncha recently and it's such a vibe. It's a bit hidden within the shopping center, but don't let that deter you--there is plenty of parking once you find it. The interior is incredibly peaceful and calm, with great music and even better service. I tried two drinks: Einspanner Latte: This was the highlight! Absolutely bomb. My only note is that I'd probably ask for it a little sweeter next time to match my personal preference, but the quality was definitely there. Strawberry Matcha: A very solid choice. I've had slightly better versions elsewhere, but I had zero complaints--it was fresh and hit the spot. Both drinks came out to about $14 total, which is a fantastic price for specialty lattes these days. I'll definitely be back to study or relax here again! read more

Another Coffee review for a special hole in the wall coffee shop! Moon Cha is a a fantastic spot to grab a good drink! Their limited edition "Mango Sticky Rice Smoothie" is super yummy! It's well-balanced and not too sweet and the bits of sticky rice on the bottom are soooo good. 10/10 (Owners of Moon Cha if you see this, please keep it on the menu permanently. It'll be great for business) The Jasmine Milk Matcha is also delicious, the matcha isn't too bitter and suits well with the Jasmine milk. It's aromatic and super smooth. 8/10 The Ube Milk Coffee (I got oat milk) is good! The flavor of the Ube isn't too present and is an overpowered by the Espresso but other than that. The Jasmine Milk Matcha conveniently comes with oat milk by default (huge win for us lactose intolerants!) While the cup wasn't filled all the way, the drink itself was lovely. I worried that the jasmine might overpower the matcha, but the balance was just right. This is a cozy spot for catching up with friends or settling in to get some work done. The service really stood out. Everyone was friendly and super attentive. One staff member noticed I had my laptop and proactively asked if I needed WiFi, made sure my receipt number was printed clearly, pointed out the password, and even brought my drink directly to my table. Little things, but they made a big difference! Will happily come back soon to try more drinks :) read more

Milk tea meets matcha- the crossover no one knew they needed! It's been a bit since I've been truly, thoroughly, and honestly impressed by a matcha latte. This isn't necessarily because I have exceptionally high standards, but because everyone has been consistently upping their game! I tried Moon Cha's Jasmine Milk Matcha which is a fusion blend of their boba and cafe menu. Jasmine Milk Tea, but make it matcha! This brave mixture works. It's actually SO good! The tea was so floral and aromatic which balanced the earthy matcha incredibly well. I love, love, LOVED this! If you're in the mood to mix up your daily matcha, this is a must-try. read more

This cafe has lots of seating and has a cozy vibe. The only thing was the lighting was a bit dark in there. I ordered a jasmine milk matcha with oat milk. The jasmine flavor was strong and it went well with the matcha. It wasn't too sweet either which I liked. They also have pup cups for your dogs. Overall, the cafe is a nice place to work/study and matcha was good. Service was quick as well. I would come back again if I am in the area. read more

I heard this place had a Jasmine Milk Tea Matcha and I had to try it! We were already in the area, so making the drive here was not too bad. There was no line upon entering, but it was also a Saturday around 3pm. The place is small but super cute and had a ton of outlets to charge if you are looking for a place to work. Here is what we ordered: Jasmine Milk Matcha: I LOVED the mix of flavors here. This is probably one of the only cafes I know that actually mixes these flavors and does it well. I felt like it could have been sweeter, but I did like how they leave sweeteners there for you to add to your drink if you need it at no extra cost. I definitely added more vanilla into here and it made it so much better! Moon Latte: This is definitely the coffee I would go for. Something that is coffee but not too bitter. I loved the sweetness of this and the milk color is exactly what I look for when drinking coffee. It's more for the caffeine than the coffee flavor when I drink coffee, so I would definitely get this again! I thought that the salted vanilla was just perfect! Einspanner Matcha: Delicious! This is pretty much just a matcha base with cream. Usually, einspanners have mostly whipped cream or foam and they just pour the espresso or the matcha foam over it. However, this one is more of a latte with the whipped cream. I honestly liked this one more than the Jasmine Milk Matchan if you are looking for just a reliable matcha. I also added more vanilla to this, as I like my drinks on the sweeter side, but how it comes would probably perfect for most people. Overall, very impressed with this place. The staff were kind and walked us through the menu with a smile. I wished they had more locations, especially in south OC, because driving 35-40 minutes to get this is a bit long if we are already not already in the area. I would for sure be stopping by again, as I am adding this to one of my top spots! read more

Went here on a Friday afternoon and didn't have to wait to order at all. They were able to make my drink within a couple minutes too which was nice. The interior has a very minimalist design with a good amount of seating. Most of the tables were taken up when I got here and fully filled up within maybe 10 minutes. I would def recommend coming here to work since the wifi is pretty reliable and they were playing pretty chill music when I was there. It also wasn't too loud which is nice Einspanner latte: 5/5 this is one of my go-to drinks and I really liked the one here since it was sweet but I could still taste the coffee. I could maybe see it being too sweet for people that don't like sweet lattes though read more
